Made BUTTERSCOTCH BARS using Corn Syrup as substitute for Glucose syrup. Baked at 325F for 30mins. It came out chewyly-delicious(if there is such a word🤣) Best part.. its not too sweet but a bit dry.. next time i will bake it between 20mins to 25mins. Thanks again Pinoy Cooking Recipes by Janette for sharing your proven tested recipe.💖 #keeponsharing👍👍👍
Awesome! So glad you tried it. You're welcome. Next time try using glucose. It's more chewy and thick. and yes, oven temp varies so check before the set time.
Okay thank you 😊 I'm making one at the moment but why is my glucose syrup so sticky and not incorporating well with the butter and sugar. Need help this is my first time 😊

Hello ms Janette! Ano po Pwde substitute sa glucose or corn syrup? Hirap po kasing hanapin d pa po ako nkpgpunta ng city. Wala po ksi sa palengke. Thanks
glucose talaga ang kelangan to make this and corn syrup ang pinakabest na substitute so I don't know what else. You may want to check online kung may recipe ng homemade glucose syrup.
it won't, glucose is the best that's what it makes it chewy, but if you can use corn syrup and the least that maybe you can sub is honey. I have only tried glucose and corn syrup and so far glucose is the best for me. I see some homemade glucose recipes online, you might want to check that.
@@PinoyCookingRecipesbyJanette thanks for the advice. Thats what other (butterscotch videos) told me, too about the syrup thing. I will try making it someday.
Luscious recipe but you really honestly need to de-clump your brown sugar before using it, put a slice of apple in the bag or something, that will make a chunk in the cookie/bar that will not always taste nice.
Any substitute of glucose or corn syrup? Honey will do po ba? Couldn't find in the market or grocery. By the way your caramel bar is a hit. Thank you for sharing your recipes. God bless you po.
recipe actually calls for glucose syrup and corn syrup is the closest you can sub. Unless you make your own. I see some recipes online but I haven' tried it yet. Glad to know you love the caramel bar. My pleasure sharing. Thanks for visiting! :)
kelangan talaga dyan is glucose syrup. My old video, I used glucose and it's really really thick. This time I used corn syrup kasi nga ang daming nagtatanong paano daw kung walang glucose. Maybe you can make your own. Google search mo lang there could be recipes out there for a homemade one. But for the texture, I suggest glucose syrup talaga. Mas thick and chewy ang bars.
@@PinoyCookingRecipesbyJanette hi I tried it last nite but it was very underbaked in the middle..i put it in again for a further 15mins but the outside became crunchy and the middle was still wet...i dont know where i went wrong...tama naman oven temp ko🤗🥺

How about if we don't have glucose or corn syrup? Is it okay? Any alternative? Thanks in advance.
Corn syrup is best to substitute. Not sure if honey will work. Kasi we need to achieve the chewy texture nya

Hi! Can I use a 9x9 inch pan? :) how many pan baking pan should I use for this recipe? :)
Yes you can. Your bars will be a little taller. Baka isa lang.
Gonna make this today! 😍 What size of the pan can you recommend if I use half of the mixture only
Maybe 8 x 8 but I always suggest to follow the recommended recipe first then halve it once you perfect it

yes
Did you toast the cashew nuts or no need?
I used lighted toasted ones. They are store-bought.
Instead of cashew nuts can i use. Peanut?
yes
Where’s this table now?
Ipon muna ng mga ings. Hehehe... Ask ko lang Ms. J, what speed posa mixer usually inaapply niyo when mixing the batter?
lagi high when mixing butter, sugar, eggs pero pag mix na ang dry ingredients, low na just to combine para hindi ma-overmix
Ah ok noted Ms. J! Thank you!☺️🙏
Ano po pwede ipalit sa glucose and corn syrup? Wala ako mabilan e thanks po
Try mo honey if it will work.
I don't blame you for cutting off the edges. They get to hard. So I do the same 😊.
They do but that's the best part though. It's crispy :)

I always use unsalted butter

Is it 1 1/2 brown sugar??
yes
Can I substitute the glucose syrup into honey?
I haven't tried. I only tried glucose syrup and corn syrup.
Hi po, pwede din po ba itong recipe kahit walang oven?
I don't think so.
Can I use maple syrup instead?
maple syrup is not as thick. Glucose syrup gives the best result and corn syrup is the closest you can sub.
they look good, but could be complimented with a thin white glaze on top
Great point! Thanks :)
Can i use honey instead of glucose/corn syrup??🥺
pwede siguro. you can try

hello po! okay lng po ba gamitin ung light corn syrup?
yes
Burnt or too dark 😊
Pano nyo po iniislice? Ilang inch po per square? ❤️
Just use a sharp knife. I didn't measure but it's about 1 1/2"

Magkano sukat ng syrup
Hi how long po shelf life?
Parang mas masarap papakin ung mga edges😄😄😄
Yes yun ang favorite ko :)
Pwede po ba hindi na lagyan ng glucose/corn syrup?
Kelangan sya or else malambot lang ang bars mo. It needs to be chewy and glucose or corn syrup ang magbibigay ng gnoon texture sa butterscotch.
😍
Can I use oil instead of butter? I ran out of butter kasi ☹️
Butter kasi it creamier than oil so I am not sure what will be the texture if you sub oil.
What if there's no corn syrup??

Hi, paano po malaman na 'done' na ang bars aside from the baking time po? Thanks.
Try the tooth pick trick. Stick a toothpick (or stab) into the baked goodie, if it comes out without batter or crumbs its done.

I watched this twice and didn't see any butterscotch added. I must have missed something. ???
butterscotch is because of adding glucose syrup to and brown sugar added to it.
Bakit yung sa akin po parang aapaw sya..
Baka maliit ang tray mo?
No cream, no butterscotch flavor
butterscotch bars has no cream and requires anything sticky like glucose or corn syrup.
@@PinoyCookingRecipesbyJanette Nope, I just made both and it is BETTER with cream, not syrup.
