That lift lock was pretty cool in how high it brought the boats up. Y'all are doing some pretty cool cruising through beautiful Canada. I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks again for watching T Mac! The lift locks are really interesting and amazing that they were built back in the early 1900's. Thanks for your kind comments! Stay tuned for more episodes :)
Hello this is a fantastic video. I live in Fenelon Falls and work in Orillia so I quite enjoyed the perspective from the boat instead of the car. I have been on some of these waters but not all of them - you are very fortunate to be able to live on your boat and travel around the country in this manner. Keep up the great work and safe travels!!
Thank you Casey for watching and for your kind comments! We do feel very fortunate to live in this beautiful country and to be able to see it by water. You live in a lovely part of Ontario.😎
I'm so glad to have found your channel! You two are the cutest! I'm excited to do the loop one year when the kids move out(in 15-20 years.... Who am I kidding😁). I'm getting caught up o' past videos now. Best wishes, safe travels, and greetings from NC!!! 🙏😎❤️
Hello Bearded FishBilly and welcome aboard! Keep planning and dreaming of the loop and one day it will happen. We boated on small boats with our kids for years and eventually we were able to start the loop. There are even families with young children doing the loop this year! Can’t wait to cruise in NC waters next spring! Thanks for watching!😎
Loving it R&M! So cool to see Orillia as we were just there! I appreciate the 'big picture' map you show at the beginning, so we can have a sense of where you are. As always, the music is fabulous. Where do you find all that good stuff?? Your videography is amazing! The mixing of time lapse, stills and regular video is so effective. Way to go, dudes!
I enjoy your videos very much. What was the depth in those areas where you showed the rocks? My draft is 5ft with a 17 1/2 ft beam. I’m just wondering if I’d fit in some of those areas. As far as the change in the marker sides, I’ve seen a gadget that really helps in that area. It’s a board with two green markers side by side. On top is a smaller section with a green marker on it. In one position it shows Red on right and Green on left. Slide the top piece over and now Red is left and green is right. Really helps keep track of the changes in marker bouts. Just one less thing to remember.
Hi Roger, thanks for your kind comment. The depth in those areas is at least 12 feet. The water is so clear that you can see the colour of the rock. There are many boats larger than ours and with a larger draft that navigate these waters, so you should be fine. I’ve seen those marker reminder boards.. great idea! Thankfully Malcolm remembers better than me! Thanks for watching 😎
For more information about boat requirements you can search “Great Loop boat requirements”. Also check out the website AGLCA.org (for draft, and bridge height restrictions). There are several catamarans doing the loop which are equal to, or wider than 17 feet. Hope this helps!
@@staycool123 thank you for the info. I am a member of AGLCA already. But like most things, I like to verify their information with local knowledge or with people who have information on the latest conditions.
Loved the music and scenery!
Thanks for watching and for your comment Joe!😎

I spent many summers on Cameron and Balsam Lakes.
What a lovely area to spend the summer! Thanks for watching this episode!😎
Thanks from AU.
Thanks for watching 😎
Thank you for explaining the channel markers, loving these videos 👍
No problem! Thanks for watching 😎
Could not have asked for a more perfect travel day. You really
learn what close is in those locks. Thanks. D.
Thanks for watching!
More beautiful scenery
It never gets old.😎
Love the pictures of your boat from in front! Helps put the scale of the lock in perspective. Really enjoyed this one and the music of course ☺️
Thanks Lauren, glad you enjoyed it!😍

There is so much “cool stuff” to be found when exploring by boat… a really unique way to see Canada! Thanks for your comment and for watching!😊
Closing in on our former stomping ground. Might be feeling a bit homesick right about now.
Thanks for watching Tom.😎
I love your solar installation. What is the airdraft on Stay Cool?
Hi Bryan, thanks for your comment. Our airdraft is 16'-9" with the radar, but if we lower the radar, the airdraft is 15'-9".
Remember GIRL Green Is on the Right Leaving
Got it! 👍🏻
