- Hey everyone! Thank you so much for tuning in! On this weeks episode we will be showing you how we prepped our camper walls for paint. Along the way we decided to remove our living remove bench seat and a dresser in our bedroom. We're really excited to see some of our visions come to life with some of the work we've done so far. But, with that being said, there is a TON of work left to be done and we're stoked about that! Great tips here, I'm new to your channel & have a bit of ceiling water damage I'm dealing with but painting may be in the cards as well. Nice job, should be cool to follow you two on your journey.

Looks so much better with the white paint! Question: what did you do with the electrical outlet that was in the bench? I want to take out some cabinets in my rv but they have outlets or lights built into them and I’m not sure what to do or how to handle them.
Emily Wilcock thank you! My step dad is an electrician and he relocated the outlet to one of the walls. That was definitely something we had no idea how to deal with so it was great to have that help. It was very easy and quick for him to do so if you know someone with some electrical experience they should be able to help you.
Be careful when removing cabinets, they are part of the structure. Without them the camper will flex back and forth until it becomes loose as a goose.
I had an old camper that I removed cabinets and bathroom and closet. I could actually see it racking as I was going down the road and hit some bumps. I ruined the camper. Then I made a flat trailer out of it

Random question but what is The music program you use in the name of this song in your video. We really like it and we are renovating our travel trailer right now And would love to use it in one of our TH-cam. videos on our channel. Love the videos :)
Not exactly sure the name of the song, but we get all our music from TH-cams free music library. It's music you can use on monetized videos without grtting flagged. This one was in the reggae genre. Thanks for watching! Have fun with your reno! It's a blast!

Hey guys! I just wanted to check how did the paint hold up over the years? We are about to repaint our own RV and we have the same old, ugly 90s vinyl wrapped walls. Did sanding and applying Primer & Sealer do the trick? Is paint holding up?

One more question tho: have you ever tried to remove all of the original wooden "joins" that are nailed in between the wall panels to cover up the seams & then filling those seams with some sort of sandable compound? We have the same wooden strips everywhere and they make the walls look ugly and dated. We'd really like to make smooth drywall-like look for the walls. Besides, those wooden strips don't seem to be holding anything anyway, since the wall panels are stapled directly to the 2x2s behind it..
@@TheCredibleHulk We tried in an awkward area in our bathroom and for us personally it didnt look right and it actually looked more flawed afterwards. Honestly, after being in the camper so much we dont even notice them anymore.
I'm about to paint my RV walls, not to cover up the wall paper but to cover up the awful color and paint job the old own used 😭. I don't know how you'res looks up close but the paint they used looks terrible with brush strokes everywhere and it all shows since the wall paper is so smooth and flat. Hopefully I can make it look way better. She literally painted half the RV a mustered yellow... Like wtf.
I am going to paint the kitchen wall where the kitchen sink and the kitchen stove is but I don't know what color to use for it
Are you changing the flooring? If not, go very pale but in that color family... Get a swatch that's in a place hidden n t take it with you to the paint store. Painting the cabinets? Seems to look best to go white/ivory/pale grey (according to your floor tone) on top n darker shade on bottom ones.
If you replacing everything, then the sky's the limit! Set the tone of your place to what You want to live with for the next few years! Tropical is fun, but do you want to live like that every day? Just some thoughts, good luck

I can’t get Mine off
I removed my wallpaper border today from out 2006 Montana 5th wheel. A residual stickiness remained. I tried soap and water, goof off, a scrubber and elbow grease but it is still sticky. You sanded yours but didn’t mention sticky residue. Any suggestions for removing it?
Lindi Archer I think the sanding helps remove any remaining stickiness!
