    Really helpful, thank you! Wondering though about needing sealer like plumbers’ putty?

    I can tell the build quality on that drain set is sturdy - and that's a plus in todays market where too many things are "flimsy" - the build on yours inspires confidence. ( That trap was an "S" trap by the way - not a "P" trap ).

    I installed a sink with no overflow while ago and it's drains super slow unless I stick a straw down it to let some air in while the water is running. I have a standard drain with a pop up rod. Is there a certain style of drain that should be used with sinks with no overflow so that it doesn't drain so slow?

    Hi John,
    I was wondering if u have a video on how the pop up actually works! I want to know how it works from the inside.. Do u have a video? If u do, i would appreciate if u can share it! Thanks a ton..

      It's spring-loaded. you push the stopper to pop it up, then same to get it locked down

      The installation is the same. We only intended to point out that there is a different model for sinks with and without overflow. Thanks!

    What exactly is the purpose of the bottom rubber ring (black)? Some videos show people putting it under the countertop (like you), while others put it up against the bottom of the sink. I think this ring is not to guarantee water tighthness from water in the sink, but only to prevent water on the countertop to seep down the hole.

    I’m glad I watched this video. His & Hers plumbing lied to me saying that it would cost me 500 to replace the whole sink. I will make sure to write a review about their lowdown lying asses.

    Is a pop up drain supposed to come out of socket? Cause, I have a pop up drain. But, my step father installed it. So, it won't come out socket. Help me understand this. My sink smells bad.

      Hi Ricky. More than likely, the drain needs to be tightened more. However, there are a few things that could be at fault. I would suggest giving our Customer Service Team a call at 1-800-775-0703
      so that they can help you to find the best solution for your situation.

    No thread tape?

    • @KrausUSATV
      @KrausUSATV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi!
      Because of the rubber gaskets that are included for all connections, the pop-up drain does not require thread tape to be leak-free!

      I needed to use teflon tape on the pipe threads, otherwise it leaked under the nut. The concave gasket by itself without the tape did not form a tight enough seal for some reason.

      @KrausUSATV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vtsao Hi Vincent, if that is the case, you should be able to tighten the nut further and stop the leaking. Thanks!

      Hi,
      No silicone or plumbers putty is required for this installation due to the rubber gaskets that are included. This is becoming common practice among plumbing plumbing fixture manufacturers in order to make life easier for installers. That said, you are welcome to add it. It wont hurt a thing.

    On top of this video being really poor quality. Did you seriously make a drain that you cannot snake by taking the drain plug out? I have to take the whole drain assembly out to snake this drain?... Lord help us

    • @KrausUSATV
      @KrausUSATV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello,
      You can still unscrew the pop up top from above the sink and snake the drain. This is a very popular drain style and will not hinder your ability to snake the drain in the least bit.
      Regarding the video quality, we are always looking for talented videographers to work with. Since you are such an expert on the subject, please feel free to send your resume and portfolio to us at social@kraususa.com, and if we like what we see, we would be happy to work with you on future projects.
