  • A new take on the old "Goat Debate" that I hope is somewhat refreshing. From what I can tell this is the first ever 91 Jordan vs 13 LeBron video on TH-cam. Enjoy.

      MJ Peak = 1989-1991, Prime = 88-93, 96-98
      Lebron Peak = 2012-2013, Prime = 2009-2021 (Present)
Also, Lebron is the GOAT and BOAT

Jordan had no comp compared to LeBron, the game has gotten harder over time, you diehard Jordan fans cant accept that, Jordan was the best, in his time, and lebron was the best in his. Stop being such babies about it, in todays game, (no disrespect to Jordan) Jordan would be great, but not the best.

Today's game has Zack Levine average 30ppg. Jordan made his name by actively seeking and destroying multiple defenders' at once in the most tight spaces and it didnt matter if it was on the ground or in mid-air. He would be too much of an animalistic savage for today's game. The UN would send troops to stop the massacre.

I’m not a LeBron hater, as a diehard Laker fan. I’m glad he came to the Lakers and he got us another championship and I do think he gets too much heat but I think a lot of the heat comes from either his fans being just really annoying or people in the media who have an existing bias and only tell half-truths and I think that really upsets people, and it brings LeBron more heat than praise.
But yeah, there are so many misleading stuff out there about this debate. When you have people like Nick Wright same things like “will championships don’t matter so you can’t take away from LeBron that he doesn’t have as many rings does Michael because that’s a team accomplishment” but then he’ll turn around and criticize Michael for never beating the Celtics in a series so he picks when he wants to use certain logic and then at the same time he never wants to bring up what happen with LeBron in the finals in 2007 or 2011.
Not seeing that one day, there will be a better player than Michael Jordan, and I do believe LeBron is one of the all-time greats, but he’s not the greatest of all time, and he’s not the one that’s going to be looked at as the goat when it’s all said, and done.

Jordan played when they tried to take your head off. They were allowed to physically punish you. If they laid you out, you were laid out. You didnt have to fake a foul. You earned the call when that whistle blew.
A lot of moves done today can be attributed to MJ. Others are given credit as it being their signature move, but it can be traced back to MJ. He did so much that others are given credit for developing.
Pistol Pete contributed a lot of moves todays players use too. But this is an MJ/Lebron post.
Lebron is special, but Jordan is a totally different animal. 6'6, 220 with I believe is a 48 inch vertical and reportedly ran a 4.3 40yd sprint.
Lebron is physically imposing, but watch the way they move. Jordan has a grace to him.
If I wanted to be on a team and contribute, I'd want to play with Lebron. Hes more of a person that will empower you to be your better self. If I wanted to win, give me Jordan. I feel he'd RIP your head off. As I understand he was a bully. Lebron is the better teammate.

Clutch is clutch. When the score is tight and you have to give a player the ball, it’s MJ, it’s Bird. After that , I’d go Reggie Miller, Kobe and creeping into the conversation is Damien Lillard. Lebron can’t even get a good shot off cuz he doesn’t have a dependable jumper. Modern analytics can help anyone’s narrative if they are selective with the criteria. Until then, MJ is hands down the best player the world has ever witnessed. To top him in just a few of these, does not justify them as the GOAT. Even to tie him, MJ still did it first. Folks, we likely will not ever experience a new GOAT.

The G.O.A.T. I'll say it again I agree MJ is the current GOAT but there's someone out there with the fire 🔥 in his soul that has what it takes to be the new GOAT! 🐐Oh yeah and It hasn't even been 20 whole years since MJ retired so how could you say there may never be another GOAT? You think 20 years is enough time to see another player like Michael Jordan if not better? That's a once in half a century type of player right there

Jordan doesn’t turn the ball over and gives an amazing pass when he needs to. Lebron is looking for the pass too often for his ability and while he does give amazing assists, he also turns the ball over a lot more too. Gamescore was 29.4 Jordan to Magic 20... not even close! Meanwhile, Durant vs Lebron? 2017 30.3 to 29.6 in favor of Durant. 2018? 28.3 to 26.9, but Lebron chose not to guard Durant because he was too dominant.
And, well, we all know 2011 wasn't even close. Seriously, when did a player even come close to Jordan's gamescore or PER in a finals series? Hell, find me just one playoff series. The only one that exists is rusty 95 Jordan, where Jordan still outplayed Shaq.

Neither were goat-worthy. 2016 win was by far his best, but he was playing a small ball team with an injured Steph (three games back in and after an awful houston series). Not to mention stats/PER is significantly inflated now. You’ve got Luka, giannis, Trae and all sorts of guys averaging triple doubles regularly. In the 90s, the leader usually had four for the entire season. In 2016, even Lebron’s second option Kyrie averaged almost 30 ppg like lebron, hitting clutch shots. So I stand by my statement. Compare game scores for all players in each finals series with Lebron and Jordan. You’ll see how big of a gap it is.
