LYRICS
"Evil Ways"
You've got to change your evil ways... baby
Before I stop loving you
You've got to change... baby
And every word that I say, it's true
You've got me running and hiding
All over town
You've got me sneaking and peeping
And running you down
This can't go on...
Lord knows you got to change... baby
When I come home... baby
My house is dark and my pots are cold
You're hangin' round, baby
With Jean and Joan and-a who knows who
I'm getting tired of waiting and fooling around
I'll find somebody who won't make me feel like a clown
This can't go on...
Lord knows you got to change
When I come home, baby
My house is dark and my pots are cold
You're hangin' round, baby
With Jean and Joan and-a who knows who
I'm gettin' tried of waitin' and foolin' around
I'll find somebody who won't make me feel like a clown
This can't go on
Yeah ... Yeah ... Yeah ...
I used to work out to Evil Ways in '69 when it first came out. I am now 70 yrs old and I love Carlos!!!!
This song is just a masterpiece.....!!!! Santana for ever...until i die!!!!

Great to have the brilliance of Mike Shrieve and Gregg Rollie from the the original Santana band! The music lives on!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Caraballo's badass I sure wish Raul was still there too!!
I saw them in 1969 Frisco, they were just getting started, man such a long time ago? I was 21, now 72?
Thanks for that! I feel so much younger now! Born in 68😆
So lucky to see them in 1969 I wish I was there
Seriously, must’ve been great
I wonder if this is his prime or his younger days
Good for you! I saw them through the film… by the way.. I saw it at least…5 times… now I’m 65.. god bless us!
There is nothing like the original group.. Everything comes back naturally.. Thank you for bringing peace to the world thru music
Nobody else has been able to blend the blues feeling, the Latin "sabor" and the Afro-Cuban rhythms like Carlos..what an absolutely gifted musician!!!
Amen bro 💖
@@g.banderas1242 Gracias, hermano!
True
Cierto! Y es hecho en México!🌷
True what a legend
In the year 1986 I purchased a Sony wmf-28 Walkman from Malaysia and along with that I got a complimentary cassate of Santana..till Now 2024 I am connected with Santana....
One of the besrt organists in our time. Thanks.
The original band at its finest 👌
Can’t describe the feeling to hear them playing live in las vagus after 50 years of waiting in 2020
I'm 63yrs young I been listening to him since I was a young girl my brother use to play his music 🎶 I've loved his music since ❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite artist. Always a great great show. Since WOODSTOCK and still rocking. Don't go to the bathroom during the show. You will miss another hit. Always great musicians playing with him.
my kids , in their early 20s, don't know Santana music , they don't even try to listen ... I feel sorry for them, they're missing really something, that pulse that keep me at 59 dancing at this incredible vibe
They are to be disinherited!! Shame on them!!
Indeed... we have been the fortunate generation that experienced the most amazing Era...of a life time...ever!
As a 20 year old they are missing out filling the new garbage in their head
I’m 23 but love good music as well as listening to Santana
I feel sorry for you, Marino. If I were you, I would disown those ungreatful children of yours, yesterday.
I can watch this a thousand times and not get tired of it. Love it.
Me too! Each time sounds better!
I hear it's the 1001th time when people finally get tired of it
@@KendraAndTheLaw Could be a temporary phenomenon and after a few days the threshold may be raised to 2000.
Just magnificent Santana forever,, so soulful he is along with his band.
This live music song is so so special.
Bravo Mr Carlos, you are immortal indeed.
Bless your heart Sir.
The soundtrack of our lifetimes. Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you.
I noticed Michael Shrieve also, what an outstanding Woodstock performance and he was so young-former drummer myself, Carlos Santana is timeless!

The BADDEST!!!! Flawless! I’m 56 years & I always wake up the neighbors! Santana!

I saw them 50 years ago and fell in love with their music. All of the musicians are fantastic. I'm hoping they will be back at Summerfest at least once more! I'll be dancing.
Dear carlos,i was 12 in 1972.jukebox was in many shops in malaysia.i use my pocket money to listen to this song Evil Ways.now i still 'feel' the beauty of this art of sound.the solo..goes into my innerbeing💚
Jukebox..reminds me around the same time, 71/72 I was 14 in 72 here in Malaysia too. Evil Ways & Guajira were popular at that time around jukeboxes. Black magic woman/Gpysy queen were the defacto songs for wedding bands.
@@mramlija I was 14 in 1975 and Black Magic Woman was one of many songs played on my brothers wedding in Ipoh by a Malaysian band. Santana I believe played a concert in KL in 1972 if I am not mistaken.
@@sansui77 they played in KL in 1973. I read the reviews in The Galaxy magazine popular then but long ago went out of publication. Manage to catch the second time Santana came to KL. Can’t recall the year 90’s I think around the same year when Eric Clapton came. Yes it was a satisfying experience to watch and listen to live shows! Never the same kind of audio experience you get from DVDs
@@mramlija That’s amazing you remembered Santana coming over to KL in 1973. The galaxy was a magazine very popular then just like Fanfare. Glad you got to see them around the second time. You have some good memories of music history esp 70’s. Did you see any other popular band or artist in Malaysia. Cheers
Aweeesomeee!!!! My all time hero school since the 1960's! It all began with ABRAXAS! Then SANTANA III, CARAVANSERAI, WELCOME, BORBOLETTA, AMIGOS, FESTIVAL, MOONFLOWER, INNER SECRETS, MARATHON etc... blew me away. Had the privilege of seeing him 3 times, Rotterdam, The Hague's North Sea Jazz Festival and Lyon, France. I was in cloud 9 watching him. Heard that this year he's off again on Tour and I want to take my 22 and 15 year old to see the Maestro, Corona virus permitting that is. Rock on Don Carlos, no one comes close to you!
amazing to see so many of the original members of this band back together again - the same band I saw in 1969 that blew my mind and inspired my own taking up the congas so many years ago - thank you fellas!
Santana an his group are very impresible, love all the ways
Nice!! they're inspiring for sure.... going to learn this on guitar now!
Carlos is still "The Man". And this band and version is stellar!
More than stellar, galactic!!
Wow! What a great gathering of the original tribe! There's always a synergy when Carlos and Neil play together!!!!

Ah, such a great group of people. I can't wait to hear Michael play drums again with Carlos.❤ Vegas is such a lovely venue...very intimate
I stared at that lion face album cover for hours and hours 50 yrs ago…..thinking how do they make this awesome music…….
The line "my house is dark and my pots are cold" gets me every time!!!
O,yes
Hello. Thanks for being a great fan over the years. How are you doing
It's "My house is dark, and my thoughts are cold."
evil ways lyrics
To be honest, I always thought it was "my (cigarette) butts are cold." 😣
I am from Iraq and I love Santana global iconic music ❤
Hi from mount alto Inistioge Ireland Ireland
I am Scottish but live in Ireland
Makes me feel good inside, merci Santana, from Montréal.

Thank you 🎸
Is it legal to have that much talent on a stage at once? Gladly yes !😎👍
Even my butter melts when it hears Carlos jammin.
I got hooked on Santana again when I was at a festival last year. Their was the band there playing his songs. I tell ya you close your eyes and you went back in time 40 years. OMG! I was hooked again
Down memory lane. Bring back the sweetest & bitterst feeling. Adlan
Beautiful! Thank you Carlos, Greg and the entire band!
Michael Carabello, the conga player. I met him at a gig in the 80's. Very sweet soul and an amazing player!
Hello. Thanks for being a great fan over the years. How are you doing
Living legendary and unique musicians of the Santana group !!!
Unbelievable and the best band intro I've ever seen
In 1969 I walked a few miles to buy the 45 and this song here still sounds good. ! I'm smiling and Jamming.
Ah my favorite collaboration of musicians. Each year I’ll keep returning ❤
My favorite group ever
Been listening to Carlos since Woodstock (50yrs.) am going to see him live in Toronto (Aug 6th. 2019) tomorrow. They're is a reason why Carlos and any of the great musical GAWDS from the 60's still fill stadiums. We're losing alot of them because of age, so whenever they come to Toronto I have to see them and they still put on amazing concerts!
The old veteran of the legend "WOODSTOCK"
In 1970 and fort Leonard Wood I dancing front of them I never forget that it's experience of my life they were very young back then I was too enjoyed it this band
What I hate about this song is, watching all these fabulous artists, they make the complex look so effortless. One of my all time favorite songs
the vocalist has still that smooth 60s feel in his voice...daeymnnn
Road from N.O., all across Texas, down to Mexico, up to New Mexico and back to New Orleans. New custom built Cutlass Supreme . Loaded. Silver bullet. Windows down, music blaring Santana all the way. One of my best weeks of my life with my new husband.
😉🤝🏻🤝🏻🤝🏻😆😎😂😂🤣😅🐺
those musicians are incredible and the sound is perfection
The only band I know that has just about enough percussion. I love Sanatana!
Of riding that wave 🎸
When Greg Rolie sings this song and then starts playing that memorable, wonderfully sounding organ-solo at 1:20,
time somehow stand still. It´s like when I first time heard that record. Thank you!
Time is Carlos !!!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful classic song from this wonderful classic musician. God bless
Nothing better than the original lineup. Muy bueno.
Greg still has the vocal chops! - well done
When I picked this on AXS TV while channel surfing, I thought I'd died and went to heaven. It will not be erased from the library, until a DVD supplants it.
All the musicians well alive .About with a high level of musical qualities ! The papi's take a real pleasure to play together..
THE MAESTRO,the Hammond and the drummer are in conjunction, sounds stupendous and goes straight to the soul, close my eyes its the summer of 1970,incredible
Master !!!
Proud I was at this special gig! I wasn't going to miss this for the world! So rare to have Neal,Mike,Greg, Michael & Carlos on the stage together! What made it really special is that it was a one time thing.
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🙂
Where was this gig?
This is Rock Royalty ! Virtually everything else is just imitation ! 50 years ago these guys ripped me out of my Motown addiction and I haven't been the same since then !
MrHamAndPrepper for good or for bad?

You are one hell of a badass guitarist. You define that song with an awesome solo along Indian culture solo, which makes it very original and unique 👌. Keep at it. You will be the first female badass guitarist ever. Keep Rocking.
Carlos Santana. This dudes Rocks. I love Carlis Santana. If your ever in Altoona, pa. We would love to see you live at the Jaffa Mosque someday. Rock on Carlos.
In my knowledge, Mike Shrieve si one of the best underrated drummers of all time.
wonderful carlos santana and michael shrieve ... legends still playing
This is the music of my student days: intoxicating, getting under your skin and forever!
My Generation !!!
Santana and his band and his younger brother Neil Shon, great guitarist! All Of Them play it from the heart! Amazing Song Over 40 years!!!
Your creations will never stop. It's been 50 years
Historic performance that takes you back to the early days.

I've been so lucky to see Carlos several times. Always an incredible show.
watching this in 2019? anybody? This is legendary shit! Incredible.
I know it,
Good to know I’m not the only kid still watching this stuff
I just took some qualudes ,peyote and mushrooms a few minutes ago in 1978 and now Im here
Just gets better with age! I was 13 at the time but everyone who had a local band was playing this and everything else from Woodstock. But it was nowhere near the real thang!
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Still got it going on almost 40 years later. Mike has lost nothing! Glad to see so many founders with Carlos. All grown up now...forever smooth.
Wow! Couldn’t believe that was the same drummer from Woodstock. By then he looked so young. I remembered he had a unique way of holding the drum sticks.
And his farcical performance 👍
Classical grip. Technically, it's all in the wrist's.
The best and most handsome guitar King
Much love from Africa 🙏❤❤❤
Incredible. Just makes me smile. All that talent all on the one stream. 😊
Wow. Several members of the original Santana setup. They still rock. Only a pity that chepito Areas isn''t present. One of the best timbale players ever!
I love watching Carlos play guitar almost as much as listening to him. He always reminds reminds me of someone trying to pass a fairly large kidney stone.
🤭
Whenever I listen to Santana I can only get excited! Carlos, thank you for existing, I will die with your music in my veins!
The best Band of Mr Santana beautiful live
Fortunate to see him at Constitution in Washington, DC. in '81. Just missed too many of his concerts! Long live Carlos Santana!
This is the best line-up of Carlos Santana's band. All the best musicians he has played with. Together they created the best sound and the most characteristic Santana specific way of playing which makes him immediately recognizable.
