- This is a review of the 2014 Maserati Granturismo Sport. I drive it, take some cool exterior shots, and show what the exhaust sounds like along with giving my opinion. Enjoy!

Just bought one of these a 2013 4.7 GTS auto sport with 26,000 miles and Mint, incredible machine ,at 61 years young I have always had 911s but it’s now time for a change . Comfortable, sleek, quick and that noise ....also they are still a rare sight on British roads...if your thinking about getting one then do it.....life is too short this is no rehearsal.

Decent review - great video quality and of course a beautiful car. But...Im sorry I can't help it...a pine tree air freshener?? Masking the scent of the Italian leather? Sacrilege.... lol

LOL!! I was gonna say something about the choice of air freshener.
I have the same car, same year, even the same color. One thing the automatic transmission does for you is work. The ZF auto is considered super reliable. I think the number one reason Maserati's have such a bad depreciation issue is the short clutch life and absurd replacement cost of said clutch on the ones with the F1 transmission. The ZF auto gets rid of that issue.
I'm thinking of buying a mc shift version ,the one you reviewed had a auto box version, I think black is the best colour with silver alloys rather in black it can over look with too much black '
definbitely buy it. my dad and grandfather both have the mc shift version, one in mediteraneo blue and the other in red

Best sounding modern flat plane crank V8.
The delay from pulling the paddle to when it shifts is so annoying on auto cars.
It's a cross plane crank in this car.

I recently purchased 10/19/2017 bought a Maserati quarto Porte from @maseratiofsandiego and this car is nothing but a piece of junk, has been to shop for service twice, just noticed they missed stitching on the middle back seat and other issues very poor build quality what a junk, I will loose few thousand and get rid of this junk, I hate @maserati Don’t buy Maserati.

Hello ? What kind of blind man are you? If you buy a Maserati, open your eyes beforehand and not afterwards! I've been driving a Maserati Quattroporte for 10 years and it's super processed. To this day I have had zero problems with the vehicle. Many other Maserati owners will tell you the same thing. And my question is: How old is your vehicle and what did you pay for it?

It is wonderful to own such a rare exotic, beautiful, orgasmic sounding masterpiece. It is the best GT ever built as it defined the catagory.
Where the paddles are located have nothing to do with age, different manufacturers choose to either have them stationary on the column or on the wheel, the proper way is stationary so even in a turn you always know where the paddles are
Although with cars like Porsches where they are on the wheel when you're racing/driving spiritedly your hands should always be at 9 and 3 so the paddles are always right there
Joel Brennan when you turn aggressively or drift you turn the wheel hand over hand and easily lose the paddles if they’re wheel mounted
@@jbrenofficialIronically enough Porsche's Pdk performs its best in automatic.. the only situation you want the paddles moving with the wheel is when you can steer the whole side to side angle without taking your hands off the Steering wheel like in an F1 car.. thats never the case for road legal cars.
On long trips at 80 mph with AC on I get 26 mph just fwiw

The car is spotlessly detailed and look just immaculate" great sounding exhaust but not without it's issues" excessively high parts, labour and fuel costs as used by lucky to get above 19 mpg on a daily run.
But still a beautiful car..~
I had a 2006 Quattroporte, thinking my wife and daughter and I would go out to dinner in it. Beautiful, enjoyable car that is somewhat unique and had the 4.3 L version of the GranTurismo engine. QWe got hit head on and the car was totaled. We suffered minor injuries. When a;l; done, I bought a2009 Gran Turismo and its one of the best cars I've ever owned. Wish it had a stock, bit you can't have everything. In the old days, I probably would have paid someone $25,000 to put a 6 speed inn there. Love the car.

I saw you push the sport mode button but you never moved the gear leaver to the left, it performs even better in full sport mode...
there is no gear lever in the MC sport. Its not the normal trans.

@@jlove24 yea but not by itself it also has to be in manual as well for the valves to be open all the time for the gts from what I’ve read
I'll add Maserati and Aston Martin are the elderly statesmen of exotic cars both being decades before Ferrarin and Lamborghini in making cars. 1914 and 1913 respectively.

Good driver impressions for 1st time in Granturismo! If you're going to do a lot of reviews consider basics of film and photography: 1/3rds. One third of the screen was a completely blacked out backseat, The front third was showing the steering wheel and your driving - but like the other guy mentioned you have a $.49 "homeless man's cologne" nightmare there. LOL! Nothing like hanging the pine trees from the mirror of a $150,000 car. I wouldn't take the time to write this unless I thought you had potential and you do. As a pro New York photographer, I've shot Samsung Kanye Oprah etc. ... and as photographer, a good rule to know is that you are responsible for every millimeter of the frame and every word that you speak. Two times you said you weren't sure; you think they are 20 inch wheels and the roof liner is suede or Alcantara ...and you're not sure. Other than that I watched the review because I'm considering buying one of these, and driving impressions was what I was hoping to see, real world street driving, not in the same track testing ...and you delivered!!! Having said that, I will take it to the track -not for Death Race 2000 / risk life and limb type racing, but very civilized track days, where drive as fast on the staights and turns as you want, but no passing on the turns and only on designated straights. Meaning you drive your car there - have fun - and drive home with a smile rather than on a flatbed or in an ambulance! I think this is the perfect car as a daily fun comfortable driver - and when in the mood - you can spank this baby - and she'll like it! That's the impression I got from your review! Thanks!

If you ignore the brand. A car to beat this is the Lexus LC 500. The replacement for this comes out in May anyhow.
