What It's Like Driving a Maserati GranTurismo Sport!

- Here's what I think of the Maserati GranTurismo! Today I checked out a 2016 Maserati GranTurismo Sport! This V8 sounds really good especially being able to put it into sport mode as well! The interior is somewhat outdated, but the exterior is very aggressive with nice lines and a bold appearance. As far as the driving experience, the shifts are quick, I love the column mounted paddles, they are very responsive. It's a quick car and handles great! What do you guys think of this car?? Is now that best time to buy a used Maserati GranTurismo?

As a current GranTurismo owner, the car just does everything well and really has no flaws. Sure there are faster cars but not many cars can achieve what the GT does. Elegance, comfort and speed. And it looks damn good doing it.
Congrats on your ownership. The Spec here is not too impressive, the silver "Titan Tex" carbon fiber trim is however right with the Rosso Leather, but combining Grigio Lava with Rosso and Rosso calipers, no, not too sharp, tasteful, or imaginative. I do love this car and have my sights on owning one. The 2018-2019 is my favorite version, I will have to wait a few years to acquire one. I have also made a hobby of configuring this car, see my designs here: ladiesforthegranturismo.wordpress.com/ I tried to do a Grigio Lava MC but could not find a complimentary wheel or really make an impactful design, not really a fan of greys; perhaps I'll try again with a Sport model and use Cuoio with the Grigio Mercury Tridents.
How is the maintance on these? any major break downs or flaws? I currently own a ‘17 M4 but kind of looking around for a replacement.

I own a 2018 Maserati Granturismo sport convertible and I love it. They say the 0-60 is 4.7 seconds but it's much quicker than that. With a car like this you get a lot of lookers and it's so funny watching peoples face when they hear that beautiful Ferrari v8 engine.

Yeah its a bit outdated. More of a luxury grand tour car than a sportscar
I have owned 2011 Granturismo and absolutely loved it! Very functional, not like Lambos or Ferrari.
Absolutely love my 2018 GT MC Sport.

I love my 2009 Maserati GS with the auto clutch transmission. It had great acceleration, sounds wonderful, and handles wonderfully.

Hey I'm going to be honest with you recently my car die and I'm looking for a new car should I get a 2019 Corvette zr1 or a 2018 Maserati granturismo sport convertible white which one has more space and visibility and is more reliable
i had this car one for a year this car does not have the tech but you won't care after a week best sound, comfortable, and turns heads just as much as any car that would cost 4 or more times more. Trying to find the perfect next one can't wait to have it back
That's great to hear. I'm looking at getting one soon as well. Glad that it was essentially a stress-free ownership experience. Did you have the 4.2 or the 4.7? ZF 6 speed or the MC Shift single clutch (F1)?

There are actually adjustments in the suspension. Whenever you go into sport mode, the suspension stiffens by
10%.
My wife just bought one because she wanted a convertible at our beach home in Florida. Now she wants it at our main house. It is a beautiful and comfortable car.

GT is an amazing car. I have a white one, black interior with carbon. Once you're over the test drive, what you want is comfort, great looks, and power when you need it. It's not the fastest car out there, but do you really care?

454 hp not 554, it would be amazing if they had 554 lol, I would ask for 2020 if they updated in cluster to digital, infotainment screen updated, revamp headlight to full led with DRL, full led tails, a biturbo v8 with atleast 560-600hp, and a zf8 speed auto, full glass roof, it would be amazing!!!! It’s literally the same interior as a 08 and exterior besides few minor changes, it’s an amazing looking and sounding car, very nice gt car.
I'm 5-10 and a half and I sit back there quiet often for hours and I had no problems with comfort-ability. My friend who is 6 foot sat back there and loved it. You ever try sitting back in a Ferrari? Now that is a dreadful experience.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed appreciate it. I been looking for a MC for a min. Every time I call about one, it's gone. Seems like ppl are snatching them up. Fast. It came out to 57k total after taxes, fees. But it's so worth it with only 8500 miles.

Probably a bit slower. The Maserati GranTurismo is more on the luxury side. It's peppy enough. But the American V8 will beat this ;)

@@roysalman6720 Yeah the single clutch is one of the biggest complains on the Aventador. It's very jerky.

Everything about the car was awesome, until we got to the dated infotainment system. The dash isn't even digital. Such a shame, lovely car though.

The steering looks really dated even for a 2016, but the rest of the cars is just bellisimo
I agree about the steering wheel but not about the other part you said, i think the only good thing about this car is the sound. It's a 4-5 second car, shift so slow,the interior looks old, the tech in this is basically ancient. There are a lot of better cars than this one. This would be a good car for like 10-15 years ago.

He may have meant 454. That also may be why he wasn't as impressed with the acceleration. We would be, but he's driven some very nice cars.

I know this car is older, and was really outdated when it came out. But it's still really disappointing to see how slow the shifts are in manual mode. This car would've been great with a dual clutch. But with the decade old interior at release, and the slow transmission, I can help but see this car as okay at best.
