- In this episode I venture to Toronto Canada to hang out with my buddy Scott on Tape, make sure to check out his TH-cam channel @SCOTTONTAPE
We check out the filming location to the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead on it's 20th anniversary of it's filming in 2003.
Just because lots of people will ask YES I do enjoy this remake. I thought it was very well done and a very good film however with that said the George A. Romero original is a far superior film.

Its crazy to see a location age by 20 years instantly. Changes a lot more than you think it would
Good job buddy. I remember rushing to the theaters when this came out. It was a fun remake! Cool you found the dock spot!
My favorite Zombie movie of all time. This was awesome, Sean! 🧟♂🧟♀👍👍
Loved this episode. Sean and Scott are fun doing these episodes together.
Probably the only team up I can tolerate haha
Absolutely brilliant Sean. One of my favorite horror films and favorite remakes of all time. Cannot believe we are coming up on 20 years since it’s release. This was absolutely fantastic.
I Couldn't agree more
Great job. I remember seeing this in 2004 when i was 14 in my local mall. It Last showing and I left the mall empty and parking lot was empty and it felt like the movie. I still have my movie stub from that day/ night.
Awesome video, really enjoyed reliving all of these awesome filming locations. Great work. Loved watching you and Scott together again. Fun times.
Now we have our own Sean Of The Dead episode!!! Shout out to Scott!!
There needs to be a real coffee shop called Hallowed Grounds . I’d go there
I always enjoyed this remake. Awesome video as always!

Awesome Episode as Always Sean!
Thanks seaan and scott Friday the 13th pt 6 locations we're very kool .Another great video,
Was serving in the Marine Corps at the Time of this release, Living in Temecula CA, seeing this remake was Fun memories, Being from Pittsburgh PA ,I had high expectations for this remake.
Thanks for your video. Happy Halloween to all three of you.😊
Thank you Sean and Scott we appreciate your hard work it was a very enjoyable video.
Yeah not hard-laborious-physical-work, but it’s still a grind. Think about the process of it all and it’s not a walk in the park Larry. Especially when it’s a side gig and trying to get all your other priority shit done. I’ve been working on the locations for Big Wednesday for a year and half. Took 3 months to research and find em, another couple to schedule time to drive and fly to shoot em, and now it’s an overload of info to try and storyboard and edit and post. Try this shit at the level Sean is and be humbled.
Sean, have you thought about maybe doing the “Sleepaway Camp” locations?
Not high on my list but I do like the film so maybe some day.
Thank u, Sean, for showing yr Toronto (my hometown) movie sightings.😊
Wow.. cool to see! So crazy how time passes... it's almost been as long since dawn 2004 than it was from 2004 to the original.. or somewhat close.
I loved this movie so much. It and the Texas Chainsaw remake were both awesome and were the ones that really started the remake craze. I only wish the majority if other remakes had continued to be the same quality.
Great episode as usual Sean.
All I know is that I'm from Milwaukee and this movie pretends to be set there and yet at no point even slightly resembles my hometown. They bring up some locations on the radio in the cold open but that's f'n it.
They even have the A plot being 'find a boat and go to the island'. The island... in Lake Michigan? Like Mackinac island? lol. But when they actually get there it's like a tropical jungle island.
Love the remake, it's one of the best film debuts I can think of and that cold open is absolutely immaculate. But the setting is almost aggressively not what it says it is lol.
Hell’s yeah! Can’t wait
Great video Sean. My parents live about 5 minutes from where the mall used to be. Always got a kick out of the fact this great film was filmed where I grew up. Romero hated this film because of the fast zombies but I have to say he was way off base as this is an amazing zombie film! No disrespect to Romero but this is indeed one of the best horror remakes of all-time! Also, damn, I can’t believe it’s 20 years old now…crazy man!
WOW!! Great video!! I watch this movie atleast twice a year..No other zombie movie has topped this one yet!!! Ive always wanted a sequel to this😅😅
This is an amazing video. Sean you really outdid yourself with this one. Thank you!
best zombie movie ever made imo.
Dawn of the Dead (2004) is my all-time favorite zombie movie. Thanks for this episode, Sean & Scott.
Love when you and Scott do a collaboration… brilliant as always! ❤
Awesome as always!!!!!!
“What movie is this?” 🤣 Love this duo.
I seen it in theaters in 2004. I was 18. I had to sneak in my siblings lol cause they weren’t old enough. The bus scenes driving through the crowd of zombies is something I’ll never forget seeing on the big screen.
I am from Argentina and now because of this video I have to know the locations of my favorite movie!!!
my favorite zombie movie. thanks for this.
Hi Sean, it was cool meeting you at frightmare in the falls, I love what you do, keep up the great work, cheers
What a great video! I really enjoy the remake it’s really cool seeing these locations 🤘
Great stuff!
God this was great. I have done this type of stuff with old photos, etc.., People think I am nuts when I do this. Good to see others do this. Thanks again, great.
Good job guys.
OMFG the cut at 5:22 when the ambulance hits the guy in the film is brilliant!
That was my favorite edit too.
Sad seeing how much time has changed things. Seems like it was yesterday I was getting hyped up to see this (trailers, going to the website, etc) then seeing it a ton of times in theaters. The neighborhood in the beginning of the movie must’ve recently just been built at the time given the age of the trees and the pavement.
One of the few remakes I enjoy. I hope youre doing well Shawn especially since that wreck.
Love you cover filming locations of Dawn of the Dead remake ❤❤
Thank you.
I’m a simple man, see Sean upload I click the like button.
You two should do more collaborations very good job excellent chemistry.
I loved this movie and I love your work it was awesome running into you at the Phoenix Fan Fest this year glad to see you keep going on here such an inspiration
Some great detective work in this video chaps! :)

Scott was here
🎉😂
Hey this was a great post 🇳🇿🇳🇿
One of a handful of good remakes
Would sweet if they made the sequel to this.
Cant wait❤
Great. That corner (bus roll building). Also used in 'Kick Ass.
Loving the word "ruff". Gotta love accents 😁
I've always wanted too go to all the places the howling was shot
Some people say that every artist has at least one work of genius within them....if that's true, then THIS is Snyder's
Agree, this is most definitely Snyder’s best work!
The guy that gets hit in the street. What a way to go outbof the world in a zombie apocalypse.
Great new episode dude
When one red Mustang just isn't enough. 🚘
I liked the reference to Rain man Scott lol!
I love the Mustangs
What a great movie. 👍
Nice work, boys! Carry on
This is fantastic! Love it
That was great. Thanks for making yet another brilliant location video!
One part I've never understood about the remake of Dawn of the Dead is why the hell would they risk killing themselves to attach razor wire to the bus? Razor wire is made as a visual deterrent and to ensnare criminals. That's the last thing I'd want on a vehicle to escape from zombies. They should have made the bus as streamlined as possible, like a train.
1:49 SCOTT ON TAPE!!!
This is one of the best horror remakes . I hope you can one day do a filming location for the 80s classic the burning one of the best slasher/ horror films of the 80s that would be so cool
Sean mane I love dawn of the dead 2004 & dawn of the dead from 70s love both franchise 👌🏿 👌🏿 🧟♂️ 🧟♂️ 🧟♀️ 😊😊😊
We need a sequel. Scott of the Dead 😂
one of the best Remakes ever

Thanks Sean & Scott
Awesome Episode Like Usual 🎃🍁🎃
Did anyone else have a bit of a mental crisis when they realized this movie is already about to turn 20 years old?
I live in toronto and wondered where the mall was but I realize I drive by this place from time to time 😅
Closest I got to walking was entering Shoppers drug mart 17:41
I actually believed this movie was filmed in Wisconsin.
My fave is
Hey I just watched Tales of Halloween, is this you in the “This means war” segment?
Yes it is.
@@malfuncsean awesome
Mr Clark, I was just reminded as you entered the tunnel and mentioned clockwork orange! Next time you are in the uk and if you want to do a video on the clockwork orange locations, I can get you in to the cinema used in the film when malcoms all head geared up with his eyes held open. I've worked for the company for two and a half decades but only just found out. 😅
Lol. Perfect editing at 5:20. Poor Scott.
Vamp 1986 filming locations please 🙏🙏🙏
It wasn't Sarah Polley that came out the bathroom window, they used a stunt double because of Sarah's scoliosis problems as a child.
The tree she hit was planted just for the shot.
I was gonnah say, that was a pretty hard core flip to do just off the rip. lol
Sammi Curr!!! 🤘🎃
Where is Andys Gun Works located?
Holy crap. Its so weird to see you guys acting out the scenes. It messes with you. You dont realize how much your subconscious remembers those spots until you see that. Interesting.
I love this sh!t, your the best !
That’s funny I built a deck last week that’s 10 min away from the mall🤭
Achei por acaso teu canal, fantástica essa vista aos locais de filmagem desse filme!!Sempre me.perguntei qual a distância da loja de armas do Andy até o shopping!!vídeo fantástico!!!
The
Awesome video. Bummer so many of the buildings are gone. I wonder where the island they docked at they assumed was safe....but wasn't, is located? The end credits scene
Word is that was Catalina Island but there isn't much to see from that footage in the movie. It's a tiny bit of a dock and zombies running out of the woods. Not much to go on.
