V/H/S 2 is definitely worth the watch..... Past that one it's a bit hit and miss, but I'd absolutely recommend the sequel. This is horror done at it's best and most creative..... On a shoestring budget.😏👍 Also, as others have mentioned, the first short in this anthology did get a full film later called SIREN (2016).
I was so excited to see this! It means I get to watch with you. Also, the sequel is, in some regards, better than the original. I just watched it last month.
There's an alternate ending to the final segment that they shot as a joke where they get out of the car at the last moment and, despite everything that just happened, laugh and talk about what a crazy and awesome night it's been and just playfully discuss how they're gonna get back home
This one was pretty good, unique, with moments that came out of nowhere and surprised you. But the next one, believe it or not, is awesome. Full throttle madness, and definitely worth watching.
So the cool thing about this series is they brought in a bunch of professional and amateur horror writers and they give them each block to create whatever they want,
The makeup on the forehead in the first short is so perfectly done, like it’s just gradual enough that she passes for a person initially but right when they get to the motel you’re like “what is happening”
The section in the woods is titled "Tuesday the 17th" cause that would be the date of a Tuesday that comes after Friday the 13th. After the glitchy man killed her, her body convulsed and started glitching to imply that she would be just like him afterwards.
Other fantastic found footage horror would be REC (2007), Poughkeepsie Tapes, Cannibal Holocaust, and the extremely underrated Lake Mungo (2008). Lake Mungo is super underrated and overlooked. VHS 2 and VHS 1999 are also very good.

So glad you guys finally reacted to this film. They are my absolute favorite. I can only describe them as if you are watching literal nightmares. Its amazing how they were able to capture it. The second one is just as good!
I think a some of these were misunderstood by you guys. Which may have lessened your enjoyment of them. Let me offer some explanations 😊 1. - The “girl” with the split forehead wasn’t a girl at all, or possessed, or a demon. She was a mythological, immortal creature with wings called a siren. Sirens are always looking for their perfect mate. Which amongst those tools, the guy with the glasses was the sweetest and shyest. So no wonder she “liked” him 😂 But having a siren be the protagonist, I thought was such a cool and different concept. And this one is my favorite one. It was so popular in fact, that in 2016 they made a full length film called SIREN that stars the original actress from this story playing the same character. It broke my heart a little that neither of you liked it. But hey, it’s not worse than not being liked by her. 😂 2. The one with the “ghost children” wasn’t depicting ghosts or children. They are aliens. And they keep impregnating human women. But their babies don’t grow in the womb. They grow on the spinal cord. That guy’s job is to remove them before they kill the human woman by growing more thus resulting in them also being found out. It’s my opinion that he works FOR the aliens. The boobs are just a perk I guess? 😂 3. The final chapter is the haunted house. And it’s not a cult they walk into. But it is a party. Of sorts. It’s an exorcism my friends. The kind of party no one wants to crash. 😂. They may have crashed the party, but it’s the train that crashes them. 🥴

I've always thought the overall concept of this movie was dumb af. The individual stories are great, but the whole concept of why people had to sneak into a house and that's why the stories get shown is so dumb. They could've just done a movie anthology. I've watched those before, and it worked great. They didn't need a dumb plot of why there's a short story series in the place of a full-length movie.
Have you guys watched Grave Encounters ? It's a found footage type of movie that pokes fun at the stupid over the top ghost hunting shows. It's surprisingly good though. Highly recommend if you haven't seen it.

Edit: another one that broke me, and couldn't finish was "The Possession of Michael King" which is paranormal, possession, AND found footage.
One of my fav found footage series
If you like found footage.. Hell House LLC is similar and creepy as ‘hell’ 😂 REC is still my favorite though.
Creep 2014 is another great found footage movie
If you guys like found footage I highly suggest both Grave Encounters movies. They are my favorites along with VHS
Big fan of you guys, would love to see you react to Rear Window, old school Hitchcock thriller. I think you’d enjoy it and it’s a great classic which a lot of people haven’t seen
