Seth Vostad Just finished watching the headboard video. Your project looks very good, and your video production is top notch. At the 2:45 mark of this video you are using the chop saw to cut a board. You are holding the material with your left hand and operating the saw with your right hand. This is a very dangerous practice, and can result in the loss of your hand at the wrist. And if you ever try this with a radial arm saw you will most likely cut your arm. Please consider placing your material on the left side of the saw, and if this is not possible, use a clamp to hold the material being cut. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your concern! If you take a look at the 2:37 mark on the video you can see me making a similar cut from another angle. It's not ideal but my hands are not too close to the blade, I think it was the angle of the shot at 2:45 that made it look so dangerous. Thanks for watching!!
Was going to make one for a king bed but realized I’d need a lot more pallets..... lol then I also realized I would need a planer to make all the boards the same thickness, if not all those different heights are going to be a real nightmare to keep dusted. My allergies would kill me! Lol
Nicely done! It looks great, but I'm kind of wondering what the purpose was for painting the particle board before nailing on all of the other boards over top of it.
I case there are spaces between the boards you won’t see the particle board showing through.... if he wasn’t going to paint the boards then he would have painted the particle board black.
I watch these videos because I don't have any way to buy a fancy new headboard. So, I gather up pallets. Then I watch videos of people with $10,000-$15,000 of tools make a headboard with $25 worth of supplies. I don't get it. I guess they do it for the TH-cam money.
Good project gets the point across but despise the no commentary and worthless shots like all the time wasted watching boards run through the table saw.
Oh,God, the music. I'm demented now!!
nice headboard. Personally i would prefer in natural wood
I agree with you, I like the natural wood better too. However, the person who I made this for wanted it to be a distressed white. Thanks for watching!
Dont say that to my friend Seth you jerk.
Absolutely loved this until you painted it white! Very talented!
Good Work but would have liked to see the install too.
Absolutely beautiful work!
Nice!! I just made one like this but with real/fresh wood. The way you made the back was much easier than the way I did it
Great video, love all the camera work. Thank you!

Fabulous video and a lovely finished product but what an awful noise.
You make it look way too easy! But it turned out great. :)
Muito bom seu projeto , parabens , abraço de um inscrito aqui do Brasil! !!
obrigado
I liked the design, but I think if you had milled the boards down and stained them you would have liked the finished product much better.
cool repurposing. Once again fantastic vid production.
Jim Rodgers Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying my videos

Beautiful
good to know someone use metric
Nice work. I will make a headbord too soon. I am inspirating now ))))
Looked amazing till you painted it white.
How do you support it to the wall behind the bed??
Great video and really well shot, shame about the music. It’s like watching The Walking Dead with the Peppa Pig theme music playing over the top.
How much does this headboard weigh?
Don't paint it next time... It was perfect in the natural wood color. Or maybe stain it.
what were the dimensions of the backer board before you started?
The OBS backer board was 32" tall and 60" long
Thanks for watching!
Thanks.
seems like took a real long time to make, and I'm sure it's extremely heavy, something this old fart probably couldn't even pick up. LOL
Good idea, but there's no way those little 18 gauge nails are going to hold up under any pressure. I learned from experience.
What pressure
I hate you for Kilzing that wood grain..
what size bed is this for
George Grimes This was for a queen size bed
is this head board pretty steady or does it move alot with just the 2x4 for legs
George Grimes the 2x4 legs were bolted to the bed frame so it's fairly steady
How long are the 2x4 legs?
d675e88 for my case the 2x4's were 55" long but this will depend on how tall your bed is off the ground

I have done very similar with Woodglut designs.
OMG KILL THE MUSIC
I've heard good feedback about the Woodprix plans.
You should go to WoodPrix if you'd like to make it yourself guys.
My works too. Used woodprix handbooks and build it with no problems.
That's too much work
You can use woodprix, it has the best handbooks and ready instructions. You can learn much from them and make it yourself.
cool, wish I had ten thousand power tools to make that shit #poorasfuck LoL
Faccio prima a comprarla non tutti hanno questi macchinari per creare
too much damn trouble!
I've found great handbook on woodprix website. Good solutions for everyone I think
You can learn more about it on woodprix website I think.
Was good until it got painted white.

to much work looking for something simple
