Seriously! I took a hiatus from makeup (after being a full fledged makeup junkie) from 2018-2022 bc of major health issues, and I was shocked when I finally went into Walgreens last summer to buy some basic stuff and just look around. I walked out without buying anything bc I thought why bother with drugstore if it costs the same as higher end stuff that i know performs well?
ELF has slowly started taking over my bathroom, makeup remover balm , moisturizer, face wash , make up brushes and I’ve been slowly buying lip products. I have more drugstore products like Cetaphil , CeraVe, Vanicream , BYOMA , Peach Slices but I keep going back to ELF. It works and it’s in my budget.
GIRL I haven't been this obsessed with a content creator for years! Found you two weeks ago and already updated half my routine. It's a game-changer already! Thank you so much for your work and thorough research, your videos are always so enjoyable and I'm sure you've saved countless hairs from unnecessary breakage ❤️
I love the new nyx blur foundation! I find using a damp sponge and building up in light layers works beautifully. It gives my oily skin a velvety finish.
THANK YOU so much for stating the sun filters at the beginning of talking about sun screen. Some of us cannot wear chemical sunscreen on our face, so it is very important information to have at the get go!
I’m loving the ELF Whoa Screen on its own on no-makeup days, with a little concealer , and with a medium foundation on top. It’s a big hit and I appreciate that I can afford to buy more without feeling guilty.
Hi Abbey, Love this series to see affordable options that are from the Drugstore and are to do or be what they claim. Hearing your opinion on these is so incredibly important and helpful 😘.
You are looking absolutely beautiful!!!!! I so love the color of your hair lately, not to mention how healthy it is looking. It is like everything about you glows with health, eyes, skin. Not sure how else to say it except that everything looks meant to be together.
i cant wait to see what elf continues to do i hope they continue investing in making quality dupes and even making products a little more expensive to get even better quality. i feel like theyre so close
Texture of products makes a huge difference on weather or not I like something. Sometimes I feel like the princess and the pea. If a product is gritty, it's not for me. So, its a no to that Neutrogena cleanser. Thanks so much for all your hard work! Many blessings!💖💖💖
Abbey I just love your videos! You have taught me so much about hair skin and makeup in the past year! When I'm having a hard day I know I can look forward to your videos. The amount of care you put into them really shows and I appreciate you so much.
I totally resonated with you experience in Chicago! I moved to Austin hoping to start over and feel less behind in my late 20’s. Ended up being problem after problem so I moved back home for now. I feel like people don’t talk enough about how hard it is to be single at this age and just feel lost etc. Thanks for sharing your story with us!
I have the elf in pinkies up at well. I love it, but they should make the applicator better. It doesn't always have an even amount of product when you open it. But the color is beautiful and lasts a long time for me.
i actually LOVE the elf lip stains! i've always found the creamy texture of lipsticks to look and feel reaaally weird on me and i've never liked them, and tinted lip balms etc just aren't always enough or right either. but then i decided to try these and it was exactly what i was looking for. i wear them differently though. instead of applyign and leaving it with the shine, i usually leave it on for a bit while i finish getting ready, and then i dab all the extra off, leaving behind a soft colorful color to my lips. then that way i can apply my usual chapstick. so its a best of both for me.
Great video Abbey! Thanks for sharing the L’Oréal Bond Strengthening product. Can’t wait to try it. I love the shampoo and conditioner thanks to your previous videos.
Omg I need to try the new Loreal bond treatment! I have the Redkin Bond shampoo and conditioner you recommend but haven’t bought the Redkin pre shampoo treatment bc it’s pretty pricey but now I can get the dupe! Thanks Abbey❤
I actually love the Neutrogena cleansing balm. I only need a small amount and just rub between my hands to warm up and liquefy before I use it and don't have any texture issues.
You are adorable and so knowledgeable. Thanks for all you do. As a native Chicagoan I was sorry to hear that Chitown did not work out for you…but then again, I live in California now🤣.
L'Oreal’s EverPure 21-in-1 Color Caring Leave in Sulfate Free Spray is an exact dupe of the Pureology’s Color Fanatic spray. Same description on the back and almost identical ingredients.
Hi Abbey! Have you tried the Makeup Revolution cream bronzer? It is so much better than the Elf. It blends like a dream. Too bad it is one of the very few good MR products. Take care and keep up the great content.
For cleansing balm, try Elf for low end or Clinique for high end. Both are great and don't have any gritty or strange texture. I really enjoy them! I put it right over my eye makeup to remove it, then spread the remainder on the rest of my face. I rinse it with a cloth then follow with my normal cleanser.
the new elf sunscreen is AMAZING! I ran to the store when I saw you first test it. I tried the Super GooP Glowscreen and hated it. It made my skin pill and looked greasy on my face. I've also tried the La Roche-Posay Anthelios sunscreen and it did the same exact thing. The elf sunscreen is the best I've ever tried and at the fraction of the price
To be fair to that nyx foundation it looks like you used wayyy too much! it looks like a silicone blurring consistency so you can't use too much or it'll literally just sit on top of the skin. And it wasn't even fully blended, you could see the streaks around your eyes because it wasn't fully worked into the skin so maybe another try is in order
I'm really hoping that you will review the Pacifica Coco Peptide Damage Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as the Coco Bond Damage Care Leave-in Mask.
Can I say that I appreciate how you talk about the scent of a product? I have a shine spray from It's A 10, but the scent is just... weird. I wonder if the Batiste in other fragrances would be better. I may have to pop by Walgreens and see. Thanks!
I love that hyaluronic spray from L’Oréal. I spray it on the ends of my hair after I brush it on dry hair and comb through. It smooths it very nicely without weighing it down. I can’t use too much oil in my hair. Greasy girl here.
Thanks for all the great recommendations! I have a question, why is it that citric acid is a good ingredient for the hair, but when people do the whole vitamin c treatment thing to their hair to remove color it causes brittleness and damage?
5:33 The recommended volume of product to use for foundation is a *pea sized" amount. The amount you use on your hand is WAY over-exaggerated and no one should be using that amount of foundation on their face, much less the back of their hand which is less surface area. The product might work *better* if you use *less*, as is true for most products.
Love these videos! I’m obsessed with your channel. Shea moisture just launched two scalp shampoo and conditioners one is Apple Cider Vinegar and the other is for Moisture. Would love your thoughts on these products! The website doesn’t even have them listed yet but I did pick them up for my son hoping they might help with his itchy scalp.
Have you tried the new Revlon Illuminance skin care foundation? I really like it. It’s what I wanted the MBM and Haus Labs to be. Not disappointed about those foundations anymore because the Revlon is like $17.99 and you can use a coupon depending where you purchase (Ulta, Walgreens etc).
Omg this is such a helpful video! Thank you for telling us about these. I was wondering about the NYX Blur but think i’m gonna stick to buying born this way for my next foundation unless something cool comes out soon. Also the Batiste spray looks interesting although i’m gonna stick to my hair oils for nourishment like you mentioned. Thank you!
I picked up the Neutrogena cleansing balm too (before watching this video) and it was awful! I couldn't even finish the product. That rarely happens. Usually something may not be for me or something I'd buy again, but it's fine to finish/use it all. Not so with the cleansing balm. However, I am definitely going to keep an eye out for the ELF dupe sunscreen!
Hey, Abbey! I would love to hear your thoughts on the new Revlon Illuminance Foundation. I’ve heard it’s a potential dupe for the new Mario Foundation!
I've heard some people say that the Elf sunscreen isn't for sensitive skin and it's causing some people to have breakouts - have you experienced anything like that? I'd like to try it but not if it's gonna mess my skin up haha.
How does that batiste one compare to the oribe shine mist? I been using that one for about 2 years and its a little pricier. Have you tried and can please compare the two?
Great video, Abbey! I haven't tried any of these products but I might check out the L'Oreal mascara and their bond strengthening pre-shampoo treatment. Thanks for doing these drugstore reviews, they are so helpful ❤
I can’t remember but have you tried the Aussie leave in conditioner spray? It’s my favorite one from the drugstore that I’ve found and I’ve repurchased it many times
8:09 I have professional experience with this: It's better in your case if you *are* closer to the camera. As it is your body is equal to the background. You need to be of bigger presence than your background. As it is, you are equal weight with your background. IN this case, closer IS better.
Help!! I bought the Elf spf Whoa Glow on your recommendation. I tried it twice and both times it pilled really bad on my face. Do you know why it could be doing this? I did put a little skin care on before but I need to be able to do my skincare before spf. Obviously I need it to be layerable because I want to wear makeup over top. It’s marketed as a primer on the bottle. And in case anyone pale sees this, even though it’s a lighter shade than the Glow Screen it’s still too tan for a porcelain skin redhead 👩🏻🦰
Does anyone have any suggestions for a fragrance-free hair mask?? All the regular conditioners I've tried aren't enough for my hair, but I'm super sensitive to fragrances, so I can't use any of those options either
I looove the Elizavecca cer-100 collagen mask that Abbey recommended. It's stupid cheap and doesn't have a stink... Smells very faintly like shea butter maybe?
The fact that the telescopic one is $15 is insane. Drugstore skincare and makeup is getting so expensive
I know! 😱 You can get Benefit and ItCosmetics and other mascaras for $12 when Ulta has sales
Just breathing is getting expensive 😢
It is.
One of the reasons I'm sticking with Lash Princess for my mascara. Yeesh.

Ahhh yay I’m so happy you’re here 🥰
@theblissfactory I was the exact same when I discovered Abbey!
Sameeeeeee❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Same, 5 years ago?❤
Seriously Abbey is amazing.
I love that the drugstore is competing with higher-end makeup and skincare brands. Not everyone can afford 50 or more dollars for ONE item!!
Abbey, I was wondering if you’d try the Neutrogena Purescreen mineral tinted sunscreen. It’s new and all mineral with no white cast. ❤
You are looking absolutely beautiful!!!!! I so love the color of your hair lately, not to mention how healthy it is looking. It is like everything about you glows with health, eyes, skin. Not sure how else to say it except that everything looks meant to be together.
I agree.. Abbey looks like she would have a clean diet and it shows in her appearance, very vibrant looking.
Both of those mascaras looked great on your lashes, but the telescopic one was just a little bit more voluminous. I may need to try that one next!
Love Abbey video day! Thank you for showing us what is worth picking up!!
i cant wait to see what elf continues to do i hope they continue investing in making quality dupes and even making products a little more expensive to get even better quality. i feel like theyre so close

What foundation/ powder are you wearing in this video? Your skin looks flawless! Thanks!
I totally resonated with you experience in Chicago! I moved to Austin hoping to start over and feel less behind in my late 20’s. Ended up being problem after problem so I moved back home for now. Abbey your makeup looks absolutely gorgeous today!
I love the glossy lip stain 😭 it's so good! And I love the fade out of it.
E.L.F. must have some pretty good lawyers w/ all their dupe attempts! 😂
Thanks for reviewing all these new products!
i actually LOVE the elf lip stains! i've always found the creamy texture of lipsticks to look and feel reaaally weird on me and i've never liked them, and tinted lip balms etc just aren't always enough or right either. but then i decided to try these and it was exactly what i was looking for. i wear them differently though. instead of applyign and leaving it with the shine, i usually leave it on for a bit while i finish getting ready, and then i dab all the extra off, leaving behind a soft colorful color to my lips. then that way i can apply my usual chapstick. so its a best of both for me.
I’ve always felt the same about lipsticks! Like they look so good on other people, but just not right on me. Love lip stains though!
@@Sarah-ic4yu so glad i'm not alone! lip stains are our saviors lol
I really appreciate how often you post!!
Loving the elf sunscreen!!! Its amazing and the hydration I need for the winter!
Did it work well with eyes? No burning or anything?
Thanks for the new drugstore mascara options!! I’ve been using Maybelline Curl bounce but that ELF mascara looks good to try! Very similar wand too
Omg yes I been dying for this L’Oréal treatment review! Thank you Abbey!
You are adorable and so knowledgeable. Thanks for all you do. As a native Chicagoan I was sorry to hear that Chitown did not work out for you…but then again, I live in California now🤣.

Hi Abbey! Have you tried the Makeup Revolution cream bronzer? It is so much better than the Elf. It blends like a dream. Too bad it is one of the very few good MR products. Take care and keep up the great content.
You say yellow under tone on the Elf sunscreen. I’m cool toned so please tell me which one would be better for cool toned shin. Thanks so much!!
My favorite has been the Bodyshop Chamomile balm for years. A little goes a long way and it’s very effective.
the new elf sunscreen is AMAZING!

This video is nice so many new products, neutrogena came out with Tinted Mineral Sunscreen in four shade I just today I can’t wait to try Tomorrow 😍
I'm really hoping that you will review the Pacifica Coco Peptide Damage Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as the Coco Bond Damage Care Leave-in Mask.

I would be interested in your thoughts on the new elf holy hydration lip mask!
I love these videos 🥰 I use them to find swap worthy products at the drug store to replace some of my more high end products when they run out.
I agree about the Neutrogena cleansing balm! It feels so weird. Going back to Juno & Co
Interesting about wonder water. New topic to me. I'm adding to watch list. Thx
Love this!! Could you also do a new drug store dry shampoo video? With all the recent recalls it’s hard to find good ones!
I don't know if it was on the list but the colab extreme volume is great as a texture spray.
I was hoping you'd talk about L'oreal pre shampoo 🙌 I've had it in my Ulta cart for weeks. Ordering it this weekend.
P.s. where are those vases from?
Loreal also has a bonding line under Elvive now. Is it exactly the same?
I have been using the Elf Whoa glow for a couple of weeks and really like it!
Great video loved it.
Can you do a video on the skincare you are using. Your skin looks great
I love the glow
I would love your thoughts on Make Beauty! Especially their skincare as far as ingredients and price point.
Thanks for all the great recommendations! I have a question, why is it that citric acid is a good ingredient for the hair, but when people do the whole vitamin c treatment thing to their hair to remove color it causes brittleness and damage?
Curious, Did you try Loreal bond shampoo and conditioner too? Is it worth it or just use pre shampoo as a stand alone ?

I LOVE your hair like this!
I really like your look in this video. So natural :)
Thoughts the ELF lipstick vs the one it's supposed to dupe (Nars)?
Seriously the same

I love that you pronounce the scientific names of the chemical so easily! You’re awesome!
You should try the Born To Glow foundation from nyx, it s amazing
What is the eye liner your wearing? It’s stunning
girl everything you have recommended and i have tried i loved so far..you are my new guru:D:D
Always a good day when you upload ♥️

Love this series so much, and all of the drugstore content you've been putting out lately!! So helpful and fun!!
I am going to give the L’Oreal bond strengthening line a try, thank you so much for this video🥰
Your makeup looks amazing in this video
Have you tried the elf holy hydration triple bounce serum? I ordered it and hoping it's good
Do peptides help the hair/scalp? Because I’m seeing that now a lot as a hair care ingredient too.
Nice! Could you please post what make up, sunblock, etc.. you have on your face? Thank you!
Abbey, are u wearing the Elf bronzer in video?? Looks good whatever it is… maybe the L’Oréal you like.?
Have you tried the Aveeno leave on conditioner? I love it for my fine short hair
Your hair looks beautiful. ❤❤
Would like to see you review bumble and bumble Sunday purifying clay wash that recently launched
Hey, Abbey! I would love to hear your thoughts on the new Revlon Illuminance Foundation. I’ve heard it’s a potential dupe for the new Mario Foundation!
Pleaseee do a full review on Odele haircare!!!!
So I use the supergoop for a primer, would you say the elf one has the same feel and could also be used as a primer?
Telescopic Is my favorite mascara. But it does become very expensive. I might like to try others.
I've heard some people say that the Elf sunscreen isn't for sensitive skin and it's causing some people to have breakouts - have you experienced anything like that? I'd like to try it but not if it's gonna mess my skin up haha.
I haven’t!

You should try Revlon cream lipsticks.
this video came just in time love it❤️
How does that batiste one compare to the oribe shine mist? I been using that one for about 2 years and its a little pricier. Have you tried and can please compare the two?

I can’t remember but have you tried the Aussie leave in conditioner spray? It’s my favorite one from the drugstore that I’ve found and I’ve repurchased it many times
I think the Aussie Total Miracle Detangling Spray is nice
Kinda weird but do you have deodorant recs?
love these videos!!
Could you list all of the makeup products that you’re wearing in this video?
I love the freakin heck out of your videos!! 💕 Thank you!!

Love their Argan oil
Does anyone have any suggestions for a fragrance-free hair mask?? All the regular conditioners I've tried aren't enough for my hair, but I'm super sensitive to fragrances, so I can't use any of those options either

@@Madamchief oooh I’ll check it out, thank you!!
I just wanted to let you know how extra 💕PRETTY💕 you look in this video!!! The black shirt contrasting against your hair and skin is magic.
Just found you and just subscribed. Would love to see baby pink blushes at the drugstore.
Does anyone know if the wonder water makes curls fall faster? Thank you
