You are now officially my 'Holy Grail' TH-cam influencer. I'm 46, and have only recently (this past year) gotten into the beauty realm. Though, I've been dabbling in the skincare realm for awhile. I really appreciate your honest and knowledgeable reviews and info. It's apparent that your videos are well thought out. I'm definitely here for it! Thanks!!!

I agree. I’m 51 and I appreciate how much detail and research Abbey puts into her videos and I agree with her reviews. I don’t have the time to spend on myself that I did in my 20s so I like that I can learn some beauty hacks to get the best results and what products really work. Also I love that Abbey likes to find cheaper products where possible. 😁

The Moroccan oil is my absolute favorite hair product, I’ve tried so many and this is the only one that works for my frizzy hair, it’s an absolute miracle ❤️

    • @SandysArtChannel
      @SandysArtChannel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

I agree. There is something about the Moroccan oil that magically absorbs into my fine, frizzy hair that never seems to happen with other hair oils. And, as someone who's hair struggles with coconut oil I will say - Not all oils are equal when it comes to hair, even if the ingredients list seems similar. Also, Moroccan Oil is definitely on the lower priced side of the high end hair oils. It's one of the cheapest at Sephora. And worth it, IMO!! :D

Thank you for mentioning the Lancome concealer. So impressed that you can see the value of products from older brands instead of jumping on boutique brand sensations on social media. Years ago I browsed the cosmetic counters in Macy's and Nordstrom and realize I now overlook those brands.

Have to agree to disagree on the Missha Sun Milk - I love it so much!! Retail at $30 is rather expensive, but it's usually around $15-$17 on Asian beauty sites, which I'm willing to pay. I don't have dry skin but it's great for me personally. It has a very natural finish on me though....I do think I want to try something more radiant in the future, but this will definitely always be one of my go-tos.

Great video Abbey! I do agree on so many products, especially the DRMTLGY tinted SPF and the Lancôme Concealor…SO good. I found the L’Oreal Age Perfect Serum Foundation a little too sheer and too glowy and I could not find a shade…and the true match nude hyaluronic serum was too matte, BUT mixing them together….Perfect shade, beautiful medium Coverage and just the right amount of radiance. Perfection on my 62 year old dry skin.

Oh I adore the Bliss one, i tried many tinted mineral spfs and for my oily skin with cold undertones, it's the best. I feel the smell fades away quickly and as someone who doesn't like to use fragranced stuff, this one is ok. It shows how we are different 😁 I find many mineral ones either dry or leave a nasty cast, not this one.

This ideo idea is great. Lancome products are quite expensive, at least in my country. There are drugstore concealers that do a great job and cost way less. I like Revolution concealers. Even Maybelline Fit me is OK. Also, that sunscreen for 26 dollars - that is still a pretty high price in my opinion. I have tried Garnier Ambre Solaire - 200 ml - for about 10 dollars and it is a great product. In my opinion, it is worth splurging on skincare products that will stay on your skin for hours - like moisturizers, serums etc.

Missha Soft Finish is my HG sunscreen and I have oily skin! I have tried dozens looking for a nice light matte finish and this is IT. The Misha pink top dries my skin a bit in non summer weather, although I don't have white cast and I am extremely fair. I use it in summer ok. Abbey, you got me onto the Skin Aqua super moisture gel a couple years ago, and I still love it. You get tons for a great price (140 ml pump bottle is fabulous). I tried many top brands of American (I'm Canadian) tinted sunscreens, and they just didn't work for me with color. I don't like the heaviness of them either, in comparison to Skin Aqua. Thanks Abbey.

Abbey! Have you tried the nyx serum concealer? If so, do you like it? I have a similar skin to yours, and love to hear your opinions. 🌻

Me too. And it also made my oily skin feel more oily and doesn't have as much protection as the Asian sunscreens I like. So not worth it for me hahah

The DRMTLGY Universal tinted?!! I have that! I didn't realize it was something... Anyone has ever talked about. Found it on Amazon and thought it sounded nice. And I was right. I think the scent is ... A bit like play dough, for anyone interested. Outside of that, it's dewy but not too dewy. And it blends in so well. Matches my skin tone and color really well!

I used to love Moroccanoil serum treatment until I received in a promotion a free Argan oil from Cien(Lidl) and when I looked at the ingredients they are almost the same as the Moroccanoil, except the scent. And the price is ~1/10 cheaper.

I can tolerate the fragrance in the bliss sunscreen, but what I don't like about it that it doesn't dry down for me. The DRMTLGY sunscreen is on my wishlist but I want to order it from somewhere other than Amazon...a personal choice.

Abbey! I wanted to thank you for introducing me to DRMTLGY -- I saw them ALL over IG and the internet for months, but never knew anyone who actually used them. Because of your videos,I've ended up purchasing their pumpkin enzyme mask, Needle-less Serum, retinol, and both the mineral sunscreen and the physical sunscreen. I've been super impressed with everything so far, and their sunscreens are phenomenal. Thanks for highlighting them, and for having a code that you share! ❤

The Charlotte tilbury contour wand is my holy grail I don’t like wearing contour but the shade light medium looks like a bronzer and a contour on me I don’t like super warm bronzers. Love this contour wand so much I’m on my 2nd tube of it but I’ll have to try that anatasia one too 😅

Great video but, I think you should have mentioned that the IT CC cream has a physical sunscreen and the L’Oréal has a chemical sunscreen. I have some family members with really sensitive skin and they use the IT product because they can’t use foundations with chemical sunscreen ingredients.

Loved this video concept! Tanning Question: Self tanning newbie here: I have been using the medium Loving Tan express mousse once a week for a month. It fades so quickly! I follow all your tips but it's like my skin just sucks it up. Have you ever tanned with a mousse and then moisturized with tan drops for the rest of the week?

Great video! I have and love the performance of the Lancôme concealer. My only gripe is the shades. I have the lightest …Ivory N and it matches my summer skin tone but is not at all ..even a tiny bit… brightening under the eyes. I don’t want the under-eyes super pale but a bit lighter. I do like the undertone and it helps camouflage the deep blue from my aging, deep-set undereye area but not lighten. I am almost always the fairest in most shade ranges of complexion products. I think next try is the lightest Kosas concealer shade. I thought I had the lightest but there appears to be one more shade lighter

I totally agree about the Amika dry shampoo. I bought the big can recently because everyone raves about it but I feel like it doesn't do the job. So disappointed. I prefer my drugstore dry shampoo over this any day.

I've never used the Missha - Soft Finish sunscreen (pink top), but I have used the Missha - All Around Essence Sun Milk (green top). The green one is my absolute favorite. The consistency is like the pink one, very light and has a cooling sensation when applied, and looks super dewy texture wise. I've never got any white cast while applying and I am asian. I think before you write it off, you should try out the Sun Milk one (green top) and let me know what ya think!!

The CC cream from the IT Cosmetics is the only product that doesn't make me break out. I don't love it and doesn't give me great coverage but it's the only product that doesn't upset my skin.

I have dry skin and fell in love with the it cc cream years ago. These days If I use it I basically add a tiny amount into my sunscreen to sheer it out because it is just too much coverage- I much prefer the L’Oréal serum (though also mixed into my sunscreen) bc I prefer the formula and the price! And those tanologist drops are what I live by these days! Curious if you have priced any difference in the dark shade since the new EU regulations came out, or if you’ve tried the ultra dark version.

I think you may have gotten a bad bottle of the Missha - mine doesn’t leave ANY white cast (never has, I’m on my third bottle) and I’m like the same exact skin tone as you. Mine doesn’t feel oily or greasy in the slightest either - it feels slightly moisturizing almost like an emulsion/lotion moisturizer, but completely soaks into my skin within 2-3 minutes after 2 THICCCC layers of application.
