5 years ago I watched blocks “how to ride part 1” video and continued watching, now I have my own 883 and I’m modding it every chance I get. Thanks block! 🤘🏼🙌🏼
@@franko8572 I’ll have to take a close look at it. I’m a new rider, so the Iron is more manageable. Plus I would r want new if I’m going to be prone to dropping it. Lol

Was hoping to hear a little more about why the S&S instead of the Hammer. "Day to day rideability" was mentioned, but was hoping for a little more elaboration. Have you discussed it in prior videos?
No way I would regear it. Have you rode one of this at 100mph? I did the exact conversion kit. So much fun on the street. Highway, not so much. I don’t care what the top speed is, 30 minutes on the highway is the max.
I love the channel, really helped me learn how to ride I just got a 2008 nightster. What tire size do you run? The numbers on my old dry rot tires don’t make sense
Hey man love the content! Any chance you could explain the pros and cons of the different sportster kits? You briefly mentioned something in the video but maybe just talk a little more of why you might want a 1250 over the 1275? Keep it up!
I use the 31 tooth front pulley and 66 tooth rear pulley to cruise at lower rpm with the baggers. Yet to upgrade to a 1200/1275, still contemplating between Hammer vs S&S.... Hooligan comes with a cam but still undecided
Wish they would have touched more on the drivability of the two kits. I'm looking into a 1275 kit right now but I commute regularly with mine. And he said the 1200 hooligan "runs" better for daily driving??
His experience with Ham Perf is the 120+ kit. That means more power top end or WOT to access those gains. Not a chill ride. But with a 1275, you don’t need to go that route. I’m doing a 1275 + 570 jackhammer. No head work done. Because that’s really all you need for a daily. No loss on bottom end, and gains everywhere else. But I’m doing this on a 1200 and if you’re starting out with an 883, then that’s a different story.
The Sportster in my eyes will always be the best modification project to look at. Only thing I don’t like on this build is the glossy black. The matte black makes the Iron the better choice compared to the others when it comes to colour. By the way, is that 1200 Hooligan kit a Stage 4?
Oh man I just got a 2022 sportster 883 iron a couple days ago brand new. I love riding but and I can’t wait to be able to customize it like this. I appreciate the video! I wonder how much all this stuff cost this guy?
Hey Man, dont leave them with this type of vidéos.... Did not like the final aesthetical result. It deserved more .. maybe I am too old, or too grunch, but I'd rather the old music for intro as well . Nice final result in the bike! Maybe next time I am in Orlando, I will pay you all a visit! Cheers
Don't know why you'd say the 1275 is not good for a daily you can do 1275 and run stock cams if you want it would be perfectly fine as long as you don't go hog ass cams
No lie man I have about the same build on mine main difference is my two to one exhaust and for a 3 gallon tank I can probably get 30 mpg lol I use 91 as well. I could get more if I cruise but the sportster just wants to go fast all the time 🤘🏾
@@neilbrown82 always willing to learn. Sorry for getting the terminology wrong but I feel like my point still stands. You must be joking. Start the video about how the rider wants to cruse with baggers and never show you did that or didn't do that . You could have interviewed the rider after he rode with his crew and answer the original problem. Now I know he spent a chunk of change and has a black Sportster. You can do better.

The bike looks 100 times better now, and I can't blame him for keeping those pipes. They do look pretty badass on it.
Nice work Chris.
They do look and sound great, but best to switch to a two to one. For the Heath of the engine.

Hmmmmhhh sooo niceeeee… im taking the riding class soon, and hopefully getting a ride after…. Good thing the garage is in FL also
Hey hey hey I see that Peter McKinnon backpack there! Nice man!!
Imagine what Yammie Noob would have done to Justin if this happened to him 🤣. This is why blockfam is a true fam.
Bikes Looks incredible, you guys did an amazing job. Were you guys able to change the gearing to give a lower rpm at higher speed?

Cool build. Impressive gains. Sporties get a bad wrap but they have tons of potential. Sick ride!
Absolutely love my sporty. Iron 1200 with a stage 2. I’d never get rid of it.
It's good luck for a 1st ride of your bike if it rains...so congrats on the new n improved Sporty🤘🛵
Great video as always guys 😎. Looking forward to picking up one of those t shirts 👍🏻

What did you all settle on for gearing changes for the build?
Nice build. Paint's not really my style, but he likes it and that's what matters.
As always great job guys keep it coming 😊
First off, love the build as a new rider this is my ultimate first bike..... What would be the cost to do a build like this???

Hammer 1275 all day.. ....
So, why do you recommend S&S over Hammer Performance for daily use?
What was the gearing change? I would be very interested in that.
Daaaaamn! I feel like Gordita needs that engine treatment. I was good with carbureted until I learned the efi engines get 10mpg more!
Do you guys flash the ecu or use a piggyback tuner to upload the tune?
We use DynoJet Power Vision, which flashes the ECU.
@@BlockheadMoto does the power vision 4 allow custom maps? Or is it the other one?

Anyone compared this kit to standard harley 1200 conversion? Hard to pass on the standard conversion when it is cheaper and comes with the 1200 heads.

No it's a stage 3 cylinders, pistons, and a mild cam . S&S sells the CNC heads separate.

what tooth sprocket did you change to front and rear?

You might move the skittles away from that screen. It may be affecting your readings. I cant wait to come pick up th LST. Lol.
People really underestimate sportys, yea they aren't cruisers, but if you have one over 100hp. They are quick
Question on the engine lift. Will it mess up with the gas with it being lifted higher sorry new to bikes
No, it'll still run on pump gas, usually recommend 91 octane or above.
Whats a build like that cost?
What bars are those? I like them a lot more than the mini apes that came on my Iron 1200.
12 inch ape hangers

Bring it in February for April.

How much $$$$$ to end up with just over 70 hp at the wheel?
The hammer performance kit puts you over 100 whp for about $2500.

If he gets a 2 into 1 exhaust or if he pulls those baffles out (it would be stupid loud) he could get around 80HP out of it.
Yes but not good for the engine. The engine needs the back pressure to produce at its full potential without damaging it.
