@@aaronanderson6892 The 8.8 PSI heads use ls7 style rockers (1.8 ratio) which is another reason i recommend the 8.8 heads and or engine over an 8.1( 1.7 ratio like typical BBC of the last 57 years). Or if you decide to just do heads and intake swap then you are using the rockers that fit the PSI heads. I thought I did a video on head differences let me see if I did and post a link
Looks like I haven't addressed the differences directly. But if you are familiar with earlier big block heads this video should give you an idea of the rocker setup difference th-cam.com/video/seOY-jUthNU/w-d-xo.html I will make an 8.1 vs 8.8 head video probably this weekend
@@fuelslut what about for use with raylar heads? I already have them and prefer not to source heavy cast iron heads that would also require the use of a different intake, which I would also have to source as well. I'm aware the 8.1 heads use a different rocker stud, but they make an adapter stud to use old school bbc adjustable rockers. Or you could simply drill and retap to 7/16" threads.
I wish that I had known that the 8.1 was served by the aftermarket before I modified my 8.1 block to 8.8 liters.
Buy a tripod brother. Trust me buy a few of them. I've broken a lot of them.
Interesting
What compay do you use for the updated Trunion kits
Thanks John (Hawk)
same as LS
So a set of LS rockers can be utilized on factory 8.1 heads, as well as raylar heads?
no
@@fuelslut you said that in the video you just posted. What was done to be able to use those rockers?
