my original lower rad male is a fitted housing with large C clip, new radiatior has a traditional hose connect which you would use a hase clamp, any ideas on modification to fit?? thanks
earlier 8.1's had the traditional hose not sure what year they switched but i want to say 2004 so it is either get an earlier hose or get correct rad. also make sure oil cooler and trans match there is size differences some rads come with extra fittings to get everything copacetic

Do you know if the second tank and all the components can be swapped to a 1500 avalanche to add fuel capacity? I’m not sure what all is involved, or if the additional frame rail height of the 2500 trucks comes into play in terms of clearance for the tank.
Not sure would have to see frame to make an educated guess
Im thinking about doing an 8.1 swap with a 6.0 ls, and im trying to find out if the 6.0 motor mounts will work for the 8.1. Any info would be appreciated
No you will need the engine mount brackets for duramax or 8.1 they are identical and same with engine mounts. so the plate that bolts to the frame and the engine mounts. you can reuse exhaust wiring with some modification actual accessories not the brackets. then if you reuse radiator you will have to plug steam port and run a separate heater hose connection
@fuelslut thanks for the info. The 8.1, along with an Allison, are coming out of a Yukon and going into a 2500 HD pick-up . Can I take the mounts from the Yukon and swap them to the truck, or are the frames different?
@@mattsimper6645 same trans in both only way you got an allison would be a truck or medium duty. yes you can unbolt from yukon and put into the pick up

Did the bell housing bolt up? I'm considering swapping my auto trans for a manual, but can only find 4.3V6 manuals and I would like to know if the bell housing bolts up to the V8. Thanks!
depending on which trans you pick the gmt800 came with the 5 speed and a v8 in the early years. so correct fly wheel and spacing is very possible. the gmt800 5 speed trans has an 4l80e output shaft size so that is the other thing to have to change if you find the correct trans
Pre 03's a/c can be a pain
just getting the proper wiring diagram was fun that was part of the problem and i know i wasn't the only one. Because a few people threw pcm's at this thing due to improper info. Just glad i got it fixed

I’ve never seen the 8.1L in that style truck, it’ll be cool with a crew cab or suburban body on it for hauling

3500hd are beast. If you want to crew cab it stretch the frame under the cab . The ones that were done were done that way. A couple of us have done extra cabs without stretching but that in itself is a pain. Have a turbo 6.0 in mine but been thinking of putting one of my 8.1 in it. I have a pickup bed on mine but I have a wrecker bed I plan to swap on it. Towing wise they are awesome I'd rather tow with my 3500hd than my 06 cclb duramax dually . So I'm gonna sell the duramax and continue to tow with the HD
You showed no removal of anything. Just everything after the fact. The title says injector removal.
remove TB, remove intake, remove alt or loosen at least, undo fuel lines, remove dipstick, then remove 2 bolts and carefully remove fuel rail

@@fuelslutI'm currently trying to figure out a code on my mother's car a 2017 Kia soul 1.6 has the P2191 ,I tried upstream o2 sensor,new map sensor,local shop said it had a vacuum leak around intake manifold gasket,they put a new one and the code came back, now they're saying it could be the injectors, and they're charging $129 each plus $240 labor, I'm pretty handy and can replace quite a bit,i decided to take it to them just to hurry up and get a diagnosis,but that didn't work as they're saying,i may need injectors,any pointers? As far as what needs to be replaced and not reused when replacing injectors? fuel lines after disconnecting Them,or any other seals other than the one the injectors come with?

i love how Richard Holdener had to test a massively modded intake with the zz502 cam because with a stock cam or RV/towing cam all those intake mods would have made 0-5hp . sorry but spending $1500 to make 19hp and what 15ft isnt worth it and that 19 hp is at 5k rpm .... at useable rpms it looks like 5hp

changed the reluctor, I think ligenfelter makes a conversion box. but i try to keep it simple and less things to break

i have a 04 silverado 4.3 and a donor 2000 yukon. i want to keep the silverado drive by cable is that possible and if so what would i need to get the swap done. the yukon is complete nothing is missing.
yes, but you will need an 04 v8 harness save the stock v6 tune to reuse the stock pcm. then you will need the pcm flashed to an 04 v8 tune. then change settings for DBC and add the 7 wires needed to run the tps and IAC
reason for this the 2000 is a p01 pcm and the 04 needs a p59 pcm

I prefer stock when ever possible, seems a lot of the aftermarket stuff no support after sale and random wiring color etc

We have 50+ psi 8.8 propane powered busses in out fleet and have been trying to find replacement injectors or someone that can service these injectors but no luck. Freaking expensive injectors.
bi phase, and honestly they arent hard to service , simple design once you take them a part the propane gums them up
@@fuelslut yeah we've been cleaning them up ourselves and replacing the o-rings in and out. But some still act up after cleaning is the reason why we're trying to find a cheaper option then oem. Psi wants $600 for 1.

It should have 2 rear tank is just to supply main tank. main tank which is under driver rear seat runs engine

Ok so you got a 01-03 truck there that you swapped a 8.8 psi which uses the later style cam sensor like in the 04-06 8.1’s ?? Am I getting this right?
officially you dont have to move wires you just have to notch the plug the sensors are wired diffferent but you dont have to move the wires for it to work correctly

Po420 is catalyst efficiency and the other is system too lean which can be any number of things

I ran them in my 8.1 Mercruiser and I love them. Sounds like you were having other issues than just plugs. You mentioned oil on 1 of them 🤔 perhaps injector problems or something else?
I got a question, if you swap to carburetor and HEI (theres an intake for the 8.1) would i still need all the extra sensors and stuff?
You could but doubt you will locate an intake any time soon
