I love the KTM power & look but the required maintenance is more than many can afford. What are the size of those forks you put into this bike? Screwed in from the top? Is this huge size bigger than you normally install & do you use silicone to smooth the inside of the wheel? I know you beef up your SM builds & I'd send you wheels in a heartbeat, I haven't even got a bike but you are the man I'd ask to do my wheels/rim works. These on this bike are the thickest I've ever seen used & they look kool, the whole bike is cool, kool, and kewler yet. Thanks for showing this & perhaps somewhere down the line we can watch you do wheels from start to finish again? OR I bet you already have a video & I've forgotten but something (video?) made me aware of this ability you have & I've never forgot, you do a cut above others in this arena. A niche skillset, if you will but whatever it is I do like it. Thanks again & will chat soon. peace
The work we did to the bike is a collaboration with my partners. All we did was new decals, refurbished the wheels and general check up since the owner recently acquired this unit. The forks come stock with bike btw. As for rebuilding the wheels, that is a skill i have to master before i make a video about it.
I know that you're out on that "Cutting Edge" of wheel works & I call it that not knowing a proper classification for that particular skillset. IT's a niche within the other workings of the bike as are decals/plastics or vinyl types of art work. The spokes I saw on this 690 were the thickest I've ever seen on a bike & they had screws in the top holding it. I've not see that or the silicone used probably to smooth the screw tops but IDKnow anything.... just a fanboy. peace
690 is from 2012 or 2013 and just got 67 HP and 68 Nm torque, 139,5 kg weight :D
