Wow, this was so brilliant. You are really your father's pride. I started learning guitar at the age of 19, then I lost my left hand pinky finger in an accident, so I had to stop. Now at age 50 I am starting to learn again. I bought a new guitar recently and restrung it upside down, trying to learn with left hand. Its very hard and frustrating, especially being right-handed and trying to play left hand, but whenever I am down I watch your videos and it motivates me a lot and I start practicing again. Thank you so very much.

Check out Django Reinhardt's music. Had two disabled fingers on his left hand. Played right hand guitar mostly with just two fingers (index and middle). Sometimes hooking his pinky and ring finger on the fretboard for an extra note.

This is so soothing and captivating. What I find interesting is that the original Fleetwood Mac recording stands out largely for its use of harmony and for the incorporation of the talents of each of the five members. Yet, with a single instrument, you are able to capture the drama and intensity of the original. I think Lindsey Buckingham would be especially impressed.

I was thinking the same thing -- how she captures vocal and instrumental parts and weaves them together beautifully with her guitar. That drama and intensity of the original -- she has captured it and made it her own.
One thing some people don’t realize is, she has played and recorded these songs first in her and her father’s recording studio (l believe in their house) In front of three different types of microphones (no cords hooked to the guitar). Then while videoing on the couch, she is playing the song again, note for note, where it is so perfect that you can’t tell that the sound isn’t being recorded while what you are watching. That is not an easy thing to do! One thing I wish she would do, under the more information tab, is tell how the guitar is tuned for each song. She plays a lot of these songs in open cord where if you strum without touching a single fret, it plays a D cord for example. That way she can play the rhythm part and the lead part at the same time. She needs to insure those hands for 50 million dollars.

Your fingerpicking style reminds me of the way I used to play back when I used to still have that spark. A lot has changed since then and I said I'd never quit for any reason. But life caught up with me and in the past four years I can count on fingers how many times I've actually picked up the old guitar. I'm lucky to still be able to remember practically everything but I always seem to go back to only a few originals I've never finished. Hopefully I can regain that excitement one day. I can tell you still have it by your body language. To be able to see that gives me hope for my own future. Thanks for sharing!
