DISCLAIMER! Do NOT touch the bulb itself when replacing the new one. Found this out the hard way and had to replace it again in about 5 months when the headlight went out for a second time. I just got off the phone with a nissan dealer who has my car in Houston, tx, they wanted to charge me $230 to replace the bulb because they said they had to remove the bumper!! I told them no thanks- especially because I had already seen someone at O'Reilley's show me how to get in there to do it myself and your video just reconfirmed it. So thanks for the video!
@@brechellcutler4030 I think I just searched Amazon for the part number. Don't remember the vendor. But I stuck with a name brand manufacturer, avoid the really cheap foreign-made

I told him no thanks and that 20 bucks is ridiculous. Being a woman is no excuse but if you can change it with one hand, I dang sure can change it with two! Thanks again and I'll be searching to see if you have a video for fog lights because I have one of those out too.
Some shops have a minimum shop charge. It may be simple but it takes them away from other jobs and also something can go wrong on any job and take way longer than expected. Like a broken clip or something
Other than having trouble getting the bulb assembly to lock back in place, it was easy after watching your video. All the other ones I watched skipped things or didn't show things well enough. Thank you!
@@c.t.7289 No idea. I just kept trying until it clicked. Think it took me over 20 tries. Part of my problem was I did not take the top vent assembly off, so my hand was wedged into the tight space and I was just trying to get it locked with my fingertips.
I did it! It worked for low beam on passengers side. But instead of pushing the lever to unsnap pull the battery out, I had to pull pack the lever then pull the battery out. Thanks!

Please put a disclaimer on your video , certain rogue models don't use halogen for the low beams. Its also possible that same year models have variations also and for anyone out there wondering , The easiest way to tell is call your local Nissan dealer and parts supply/ service they will look up your vin for you so you don't have to go crazy opening your light assembly to check which type you got , in 15 degree weather.
I found the xenon bulb online much cheaper, and it was fairly easy to change out once I found the fixture inside the canister. took a few attempts to get it to seat completely.
You need to add both kinds of bulbs and installs to your video. I had different kind of bulbs which drove me crazy to figure it out, cause I was watching your video and I said it's simple, NOT, found out I had xenon lights and nones video would comment said there is two kinds of installs
My Dad thought me that when you change 1 side of your light it's a Good idea to change the other side too if not one side that was not changed will look dimmer, from my own experience if you have the extra finance to change both would be excellent if not just change the one that is burnt out.
I'm curious what year this Rogue is because I have a 2012 and I took the headlights off a 2008 today for replacement parts and the low beams on both of them are not like the car in this video and much more difficult to change. Thankfully, I did figure it out, though.
If you have a HID Bulb then you screw of a round cap and then press the wire pins then move pins upward the Bulb will pop out old then you put in the new Bulb!
It's probably just me, but this video did not help me identify the location of the passenger side low-beam bulb on my 2011 Nissan Rogue. I easily see the high-beam and turn signal bulbs, but not the low-beam.
⚠️ not all rogues have these type bulbs. Mine had the straight ones with a different connector. I saw this video and bought expensive bulbs like this and they do not fit. Don't open the package until you remove the old bulb and confirm. Expensive lesson.
I have a 2012 Nissan Rogue and the low beam is no where to be located. I find the high beam and the blinker but no low beam. I spent at least an hour there’s a “coaster” size black piece of plastic that has lashes and I was able to remove when I looked on the inside there’s a silver piece that I didn’t think it was it so I didn’t touch it.

I do it all the time but I wipe it after I connect it and no problems

you must have the Xenon bulbs. did you figure out how to replace it yourself? or did you take it in to dealer?
I found a xenon bulb on-line and was able to change it out myself. fairly easy after I found the fixture inside the canister.
They tried to charge me the same. can i ask where you ordered the headlight from
