I just spent at least an hour trying to figure out how to remove that bulb on my wife's 2010 Altima 3.5 SR. There are numerous video's about the halogen bulbs which are MUCH easier to remove but yours is the first and BEST I've seen on removing the xenon bulb. Anyway, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting this because the dealer wanted about $300 to do this. I wish you much success in life.

She already had a bulb she had purchased locally for $99. I had her return it and I ordered a pair of bulbs from Ebay for under $20. To my knowledge, 5 years later the bulb is still working because she as of yet has not asked me to install the extra bulb I put in her glove box.

I had attempted to replace this bulb today thinking that I was going to be dealing with the H11 bulb that Auto Zone recommended until I spent a couple hours trying to figure out how to plug those in when I finally realized that I was on an impossible mission!!! Every video that I found showed installation using the H11 bulb but finally yours showed what my car has! Going to order the correct bulb online and watch your video again and again for reference!!! Thanks, it was a good move ordering the bulbs online. Locally the bulbs go for 100 dollars. At the time I ordered a pair online for under 20 dollars. The cheaper bulb installed in the video is still working after more than 4 years now.

If you go on amazon or eBay type in the search window Xenon HID Headlight Bulbs Low Beam for whatever year your rouge is. If you go to your local parts store, they will want $100 for the bulb but you can get them online for under $20

Just a quick update: I mentioned in the video that I used a $15 bulb purchased on Ebay. This bulb was installed in 2019 and it is now spring of 2022 and the bulb is still working.

Whoever changed it last didn't open the clip and just had my light sitting wobbly in the socket. I was about to place the blub correctly and clip it in! thank you!

Thank you for this video. I had one of these lights replaced at auto shop in 2019 and it was ~$150. Little did I know i could buy the bulb for $17 and replace it myself in 10 mins. Good camera work and explanations.

I have found your videos to be accurate and very helpful!!! I have another question about the same kind of car, 2011 Nisan Rogue. I have replaced the mass air flow censor twice in 6 months and the light comes back on about a 1 1/2 months after installed. I would so appreciate your input and advice. Mark 😊
@@24302125 If your vehicle hesitates at stop signs it sometimes can be caused by a faulty camshaft sensor. This will at times trigger a phantom flow sensor code that it is a direct result of intermittent hesitation. What makes it difficult to diagnose is often time the cam sensor will not throw a code until it fails completely. let me know how you make out.
Hi Richard, I have no hesitation nor is it running sluggish....the light comes back on with the same code, mass airflow sensor, about a month after I install the sensor. I have installed two new ones. Is there anything else that could maybe cause the sensor to burn out? I have also cleaned them..... Thank you, Richard 👍

I’m gonna give it another try tomorrow when it’s warmer. I had it lined up but couldn’t get the clasp back on. I started practicing with the old one but still had the same problem. Maybe it’s not seating all the way in. I lined up those notches. Definitely must have been a challenge to video tape not much hand space at all. Tomorrow will be warmer. Fingers crossed.

My daughter bought the expensive bulb so I was happy I was able to save her some money by putting it in for her. I’m left handed and could only use my right hand so I was nervous with that $95 bulb haha. Practicing with the old bulb really helped too.

Yes, the owner of the car had purchased the bulb locally for as I recall $100 at the time. I told her she could get a pair of bulbs for under $20 on Ebay so she returned the $100 bulb and ordered the pair on Ebay. I put one in her glove box and installed the other as you saw in the video. It has been a few years and to my knowledge the Ebay bulb is still working otherwise she would have called me to install the bulb I had saved in the glove box.

I've got a 2013 Nissan rogue sv with the hid assembly. I was hoping to switch to LED low beams. Can i swap out the hid headlight assemblies for the regular halogen ones and then use led bulbs?
The car belonged to my nice, she purchased a bulb locally and paid $100 for it, she asked me to install it, I thought that price was ridicules and had her return it. I ordered a pair of bulbs on eBay. I think the pair was less than $20 if I remember correctly. I installed one and put the other in her glove box It was 3 or 4 years ago, so I don't still have the link. Just go to eBay and do a search as lots of them will pop up. As far as I know the bulb is still in the car shining bright.

Thanks for your question Nathen; This is what I ordered: Xenon D2R HID Bulbs 35W OEM Headlight Replacement Bulb. They come in different tints, mine was OEM White. Just make sure you do indeed have the Xenon option. (it should look like the one in my video). At my local parts store the bulbs were 99 dollars each. I was able to order a pair for about 15 dollars on eBay. One I installed the other I saved. The one I installed has been in the car for 8 months. (so far so good) Thanks for watching my channel.
Thanks Robert, you know, I do not recall if I did or not. I reviewed the video and if I did, I most certainly did not mention it. If you are familiar with my channel I do indeed do that on almost every repair. It is a great suggestion if for no other reason than to prevent inadvertent deployment of the airbags. My nephew accidently grounded his power module with a wrench. It cost him a lot of money to get it replaced, even with that the car was never the same.

Yes, the owner of the car had purchased the bulb locally for as I recall $100 at the time. I told her she could get a pair of bulbs for under $20 on Ebay so she returned the $100 bulb and ordered the pair on Ebay. I put one in her glove box and installed the other as you saw in the video. It has been a few years and to my knowledge the Ebay bulb is still working otherwise she would have called me to install the bulb I had saved in the glove box.

I've got a 2013 Nissan rogue sv with the hid assembly. I was hoping to switch to LED low beams.
Can i swap out the hid headlight assemblies for the regular halogen ones and then use led bulbs?
I am not positive, but I believe you must switch out the entire headlight assembly.

The car belonged to my nice, she purchased a bulb locally and paid $100 for it, she asked me to install it, I thought that price was ridicules and had her return it. I ordered a pair of bulbs on eBay. I think the pair was less than $20 if I remember correctly. I installed one and put the other in her glove box It was 3 or 4 years ago, so I don't still have the link. Just go to eBay and do a search as lots of them will pop up. As far as I know the bulb is still in the car shining bright.

Did you disconnect the battery?
No, I usually do for most repairs. However after reviewing the video, I see thsat I did not. I am disappointed in myself as I should have gone ahead and disconnected the battery. Thanks for bring that to my attention. Don't be a stranger

Thanks for your question Nathen; This is what I ordered: Xenon D2R HID Bulbs 35W OEM Headlight Replacement Bulb. They come in different tints, mine was OEM White. Just make sure you do indeed have the Xenon option. (it should look like the one in my video). At my local parts store the bulbs were 99 dollars each. I was able to order a pair for about 15 dollars on eBay. One I installed the other I saved. The one I installed has been in the car for 8 months. (so far so good) Thanks for watching my channel.

Thanks Robert, you know, I do not recall if I did or not. I reviewed the video and if I did, I most certainly did not mention it. If you are familiar with my channel I do indeed do that on almost every repair. It is a great suggestion if for no other reason than to prevent inadvertent deployment of the airbags. My nephew accidently grounded his power module with a wrench. It cost him a lot of money to get it replaced, even with that the car was never the same.
