Haha sorry! But don't worry except the fact that the new one is a little bit easier, the end result is almost the same! Just if you want to paint yours, stop the process before applying the paper and pick up from there with the new tutorial, it will work pretty much the same way :)
what do you mix the wall mending agent with to make it thick and not so liquidy? Because the liquid in the bottle is way to thin, so did you mix it with something to make it thick?
@@NocturnalAnimations101 That's really strange, you must have gotten a bad tube I guess, with this brand they turn out sometime a bit too thick but not the other way around. Otherwise you can try that brand amzn.to/3A4rj1R it is a little bit more expansive, but the thickness will be for sur the right one as it has been created for this specific type of art work...

Did you download the templates folder from my shop already? If yes you'll find in it a text file named "Read Me" that explains how to print the templates so that you make it a good fit for your head ;)
Actually in the templates folder you get a text file named "Read ME" that explains how, but basically to do so you just have to divide the circumference of your head (above the eyes) by mine which is 23 inches, that's gonna give you a decimal number like 0,86 for instance, and that is the percentage you have to print the templates out from your computer to make it a perfect fit for your head, in this case you would have to print them out at 86% of the original size 😉
The thing is that there is not much I would do differently with the armor! But if you want to paint it just do what I did here with the helmet, instead of applying the paper apply a layer of a filler, sand it down and paint it. It will work perfectly. And if you have made it already with the paper just do it on top of it that will work too :)

There are many but you probably don't get that mirror finish effect, that paint is very impressive. If you can't get that one I would recommend the following one www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08HM1FVH8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details it's not as good as the one I used but you'll get a verry good chrome effect with it, and it's cheaper too :)

@@H_T_S-1 Oh then if you didn't properly set the scale within your printer software you may have had size issues. That is actually the most important step in this tutorial, you really need to print them out the right way! If you just let your printer do whatever they want you will end up with pieces that don't match each other. Unfortunately if it is the problem there is not much I can do to help as it is almost impossible for me to know what your printer did. At this point what I would recommend you to do is trying to fix it by cutting out some areas or adding pieces of cardboard in other as you feel the need for it for you to correct the overall shape. Or you can make another one but making sure this time that you are printing them all at the same scale.
Thanks. I think I'm going to use a sturdy wire or metal price to shape the helmet. Tho worst case scenario I have to cut a strip down the middle. I appreciate the help

you should definitely make a clone trooper helmet. your templates are so accurate and I think if you made some for a clone trooper they would turn out great!

Holy crap! I'm definitely going to try this out! That, and I think your painting process works for painting 3D prints too! Dude you do so awesome! So because it's painted, no more interior varnish? Is it still waterproof?
Glad you like it Brian!! 🙂 About the waterproofness I haven't made many testes yet but from what I know it can support a little bit of rain. The only concern with that chrome paint is that it remains quite sensitive to wiping or scratching. So I'm going to try a top coat to protect the helmet better! Thank you! Yep the thing is that it turned out to be a bit difficult to apply the one way film with perfection, but I'll find a way to improve on that for the next one! :)
Have you scaled the templates to your head size? In the templates folder you downloaded, there is a text file named "Read Me" that explains how to print the templates so that the helmet fits your head. I really recommend reading it, as it also contains important information for a successful build.

@@jakedrake3660 Spaceships like that are always, well a huge enterprise to make lol the thing is that making something that big at a small scale, from cardboard, with the level of accuracy I do on this channel and most of all as a step by step tutorial video, require me a tremendous amount of time to achieve, which is often time a problem for me as I'm trying hard to post at least one new tutorial a month. The Millennium Falcon I made for instance took me 3 month to design and to make! 😅 But maybe someday when I'll have a little bit of help and more time in front of me! 🙂

Pour le moment le casque de Boba Fett n'est pas prévu, le truc c'est que mise à part la peinture, les technique utilisé n'ont pas changé (Contrairement au casque du Mandalorian...). Mais si tu veux le peindre, just procède de la même manière que pour celui ci! Just au lieu d'appliquer du papier, tu appliques de la peinture 😉

Actually the end result is almost the same as the older one! Just if you want to paint it, instead of applying the paper as I show in the older tutorial, switch to this tutorial from that point on and apply a filler instead so that you can paint it with the same efficiency :)
@@NocturnalAnimations101 Of course if you have applied the paper already, what you can do is applying a thin layer of a filler (not need too much of it in that case), for you to be able to sand it down an get a smooth surface as I do in this tutorial, and then you can paint it! :) You could also paint it directly on the paper using acrylic paint, but the paper being a bit rough it won't be as smooth.
@@EpicCardboardProps awesome, thanks for the advice. I am currently at the patching part for the top region, where we cover the top using the amazon letter cardboard. So still have some ways to go, but hopefully all will go smoothly and the final product will fit me =P Some of the printouts had to be done on an A3 sheet though as the printouts were all done at 111% scale (value i got after doing the calculations you mentioned in the tutorial)
Im here because i wanna make a star wars outfit because my older sister said she might take me to comic con for my 18th birthday I have an issue though so if anybody wants to give their thoughts in the replies u would appreciate it I am disabled and currently use a cane, however my parents are looking into getting me a wheelchair. I wont be able to go to comic con without a mobility aid, but i feel like it would ruin the look of the outfit. Ill most likely go as a mandalorian. Im not sure if i will have the wheelchair by the time i go, but does anybody have any suggestions on how i can make either a wheelchair or a cane fit in better with the costume?? Im not saying they ruin the look or anything but i feel like they would seem out of place
Hey there! First off, it's awesome that you're planning to go to Comic-Con and even better that you're going as a Mandalorian! I totally get wanting your mobility aid to fit with your outfit. Here are a few ideas: **Wheelchair Customization:** - **Mandalorian Theme:** Decorate your wheelchair with Mandalorian symbols and colors. Adding some DIY armor panels or decals can make it look like part of your suit. - **Speeder Chair:** Transform your wheelchair into a Star Wars speeder! You can add lightweight cardboard or foam pieces to mimic the look of a speeder bike, making it look like a prop straight out of the Star Wars universe. **Cane Customization:** - **Lightsaber Cane:** Turn your cane into a lightsaber! You can wrap it with lightsaber hilt designs or use reflective tape and paint to give it that glowing effect. - **Beskar Cane:** Paint your cane to look like it's made of Beskar (Mandalorian armor material). You could even add some Mandalorian symbols or engravings to it. The most important thing is your comfort and mobility, so make sure any additions are safe and don't interfere with the functionality of your cane or wheelchair. The thing is that the first Mando helmet really needed an update as it was a pretty old video, it's not really the case for Boba Fetts, all techniques I used for that one are pretty much still the same now. Despite for the paint there is not much I would do differently ;)
This is the way! I already liked the old version of helmet but this one is so much better. To be honest i thought you were going to make Bo katans helmet xD. This helmet is so much more convenient to make because the new techniques you learned. I think I'm going to give this helmet a try soon! I also like that you decided to try to paint the helmet. Very cool! I also think Boba Fett helmet would look good if it was pained

How did you apply the filler on the black curved part of the ear? I’m having difficulty doing it
Try to use a tool to do it with more precision like the tip of a knife or clay tools, that's what I did 🙂

My helmet is a bit wide. Do you have any tips to shape it? The front needs to be more jutted out
Did you print the templates out with the adjusting method I explain in the text file "Read Me" or did you print them out at 100%?

Two things to say:

Glad you like it Brian!! 🙂 About the waterproofness I haven't made many testes yet but from what I know it can support a little bit of rain. The only concern with that chrome paint is that it remains quite sensitive to wiping or scratching. So I'm going to try a top coat to protect the helmet better! Have you scaled the templates to your head size? In the templates folder you downloaded, there is a text file named "Read Me" that explains how to print the templates so that the helmet fits your head. I really recommend reading it, as it also contains important information for a successful build.

@@jakedrake3660 Spaceships like that are always, well a huge enterprise to make lol the thing is that making something that big at a small scale, from cardboard, with the level of accuracy I do on this channel and most of all as a step by step tutorial video, require me a tremendous amount of time to achieve, which is often time a problem for me as I'm trying hard to post at least one new tutorial a month. The Millennium Falcon I made for instance took me 3 month to design and to make! 😅 But maybe someday when I'll have a little bit of help and more time in front of me! 🙂

Pour le moment le casque de Boba Fett n'est pas prévu, le truc c'est que mise à part la peinture, les technique utilisé n'ont pas changé (Contrairement au casque du Mandalorian...). Mais si tu veux le peindre, just procède de la même manière que pour celui ci! Just au lieu d'appliquer du papier, tu appliques de la peinture 😉

Actually the end result is almost the same as the older one! Just if you want to paint it, instead of applying the paper as I show in the older tutorial, switch to this tutorial from that point on and apply a filler instead so that you can paint it with the same efficiency :)
@@EpicCardboardProps sounds good. But is there a way to paint the helmet with the final result we get in the previous tutorial?
@@NocturnalAnimations101 Of course if you have applied the paper already, what you can do is applying a thin layer of a filler (not need too much of it in that case), for you to be able to sand it down an get a smooth surface as I do in this tutorial, and then you can paint it! :) You could also paint it directly on the paper using acrylic paint, but the paper being a bit rough it won't be as smooth.
@@EpicCardboardProps awesome, thanks for the advice. I am currently at the patching part for the top region, where we cover the top using the amazon letter cardboard. So still have some ways to go, but hopefully all will go smoothly and the final product will fit me =P
Some of the printouts had to be done on an A3 sheet though as the printouts were all done at 111% scale (value i got after doing the calculations you mentioned in the tutorial)

Im here because i wanna make a star wars outfit because my older sister said she might take me to comic con for my 18th birthday
I have an issue though so if anybody wants to give their thoughts in the replies u would appreciate it
I am disabled and currently use a cane, however my parents are looking into getting me a wheelchair. I wont be able to go to comic con without a mobility aid, but i feel like it would ruin the look of the outfit. Ill most likely go as a mandalorian.
Im not sure if i will have the wheelchair by the time i go, but does anybody have any suggestions on how i can make either a wheelchair or a cane fit in better with the costume?? Im not saying they ruin the look or anything but i feel like they would seem out of place

First off, it's awesome that you're planning to go to Comic-Con and even better that you're going as a Mandalorian!
I totally get wanting your mobility aid to fit with your outfit. Here are a few ideas:
**Wheelchair Customization:**
- **Mandalorian Theme:** Decorate your wheelchair with Mandalorian symbols and colors. Adding some DIY armor panels or decals can make it look like part of your suit.
- **Speeder Chair:** Transform your wheelchair into a Star Wars speeder! You can add lightweight cardboard or foam pieces to mimic the look of a speeder bike, making it look like a prop straight out of the Star Wars universe.
**Cane Customization:**
- **Lightsaber Cane:** Turn your cane into a lightsaber! You can wrap it with lightsaber hilt designs or use reflective tape and paint to give it that glowing effect.
- **Beskar Cane:** Paint your cane to look like it's made of Beskar (Mandalorian armor material). You could even add some Mandalorian symbols or engravings to it.
The most important thing is your comfort and mobility, so make sure any additions are safe and don't interfere with the functionality of your cane or wheelchair. Have a fantastic time at Comic-Con, and may the Force be with you!

The thing is that the first Mando helmet really needed an update as it was a pretty old video, it's not really the case for Boba Fetts, all techniques I used for that one are pretty much still the same now. Despite for the paint there is not much I would do differently ;)

This is the way! I already liked the old version of helmet but this one is so much better. To be honest i thought you were going to make Bo katans helmet xD. This helmet is so much more convenient to make because the new techniques you learned. I think I'm going to give this helmet a try soon! I also like that you decided to try to paint the helmet. Very cool! I also think Boba Fett helmet would look good if it was pained
