I'm a 60 year old lady who doesn't cosplay, but I love you and your creativeness! Always just amazing to see how you make these costumes come to life so realistically and cheaply. How is your sweet Angel girl doing? Melted my heart seeing Nugget giving her snuggles. ❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my goodness Vicky, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a sweet comment! I'm happy to have you here even tho you don't cosplay 🥰 Angel is actually doing great! Better than before she got her leg removed cause she's no longer in constant pain! Dogs os so resilient, they keep going like nothing happened!
Just in case you think you might be “too old“ to start cosplaying, just do it, there is no age requirements for cosplayers if you want to try it, then go for it :)
You give me so much hope as a Cosplayer! I am constantly criticized for how I craft i.e; using hot glue, spray paint, and alot of unconventional materials. Seeing you create such amazing cosplays and not give a damn about "the rules" is so encouraging. 😭 Thank you for being you!
The only rules are ; "Does this work for me?" Is the answer yes, then rule correctly followed. If it doesnt work, you re-work the idea. Rule still followed. Just. Have. Fun. 🙂
You are such an inspiration! Every time I watch your videos I feel like there's nothing that can't be made and your methods and tips here and there always give me ideas for different cosplays I'm working with. Thank you Alyson! 🤩
Such a cute video. I’m 50 years old and I have to create an armor for cosplay. My daughter said, I need something and as a long time Star Wars fan, I chose a mandalorian. Thanks for this sweet video. Thumbs up. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
I’m in the middle of making this armour out of steel, because I have the opportunity to get free sheet metal, and use a metal workshop. Of course, TH-cam found out about me making it, and suggested your video. Very inspiring! 😊👍
I've always wondered how people make these costumes without a 3D printer or vacu-forming...and now I know! What a great, detailed, fun instruction video. I just got my first ever costume piece, a Mando helmet off of Etsy. I might have to try your build!
Not sure how I've never seen your videos come thru my TH-cam algorithm. You're awesome! New subscriber! You have that Young Sandra Bullock look going on (the look from the Speed era).
Wow awesome! Thanks for the 101 on the armor. I'm 3d printing mine and was looking for ideas on how to attach it to a shirt or something but I like the strap ideas alot.
My Barbour likes crafting star wars items like "R2d2 and mandalorian armour. It's amazing how talented people can be, keep up the good work and take care 😊
Although im not a big star wars fan, i love cosplay, i love arnor, and i love your work. You've done an excellent job in such a short time! I hope all the praise you get for your work drives you to keep going. The world needs more Alyson Tabbitha.
Your skill with scissors, xacto blades, foam, and glue are amazing. In one of your future vids you should make some Mandalorian armor from metal. You could build Sabine Wren or Bo Katan armor. You could probably still use your foam patterns. Someone as crafty and talented as you should absolutely show everyone how to make real metal armor.
That is a superb job, I get making the Beskar Armour, but I prefer the Durasteel look, I suppose your pattern could work repainted, just needs all the battle damage to complete the look. Full marks for all the hints and tips on your videos, I look forward to your next project!
Last time I looked at the price of a standard 3D Printer This was a while back it was about $ 800.00 in Canadian funds. I hope that your channel grows enough that a company watching that makes one will send you one to test out. Here's hoping you the best in the future.
As cool as this is, I was truly astonished and impressed by your Darth Maul cosplay! Do you have a video anywhere showcasing how you did that transformation, like a makeup tutorial on this channel? If so, can you please make a Darth Maul makeup transformation video? He’s been one of my favorite Star Wars villains for decades! 😄🙏🙏
Like always impressive work. Quite talented you are. And thanks for sharing the progress. 3 days of hard work sure paied off. (though will admit you do always make it look so easy :) )
@@AlysonTabbitha my13 year old daughter Shae is a budding cosplayer and will definitely learn from your videos.Btw absolutely love Hayden reaction to your Anakin cosplay
Oh my god. Thank you so much! Ive been looking to make my first mando / purchase but i have weird measurements so ill make my own... though i am a little weary about making the stuff since ive never done anything like that before.. lol
Bought your patterns. Very cool. What are the thicknesses of the craft foam you used? I see 2mm in the description but the link to thicker foam is a dead link.
question; why wouldn't you just use heavier (thicker) foam rather than gluing posterboard to the back of it? I have only been doing costume building for a short time and this the first time hearing of this method. are there advantages with the posterboard that don't seem evident? (at least not to me)
Such a fan! I’ve only done a simple foam shoulder piece but you’ve definitely inspired me to try more complicated builds! I was wondering if you heat the pieces before or after attaching them to the poster board? Again Much appreciated keep up the cosplays!!
I am wondering if you have a 3D printer if you could make a few parts for you costume as well. Maybe a prop gun or a small armor plate with strap holes in it.
Fantastic work! Do your talents know no limits? If you were going to build your own unique armor what colours would you use and what would your signet be?
I learned some stuff here but if I. an teach you something too, dont spray paint like it’s a frabreeze can, do short bursts in a back and forth pattern, doing this will give you a much more uniform coat because the paint won’t glob up or run
You must have a lot of patience, and I can not do what you do. You must've taken art & and craft, and I want to make the Mandalorian Death Watch . Congratulations on finalizing your work.
I normally don't pay any attention to shorts, but your 10 Years compilation popped up and I clicked out of curiosity. I appreciate good cosplay, but you are honestly the best I've ever seen. I mean, wow! You have no barriers. Can you do some Borderlands? I saw the movie trailer, and don't like most of the acting choices they made. My literal thoughts, having played the games, were that cosplayers are putting Hollywood to shame.
Might I make a suggestion, if you do decide to remake you armor set try making it out of 1/4th inch at least. It will look more real and will be much more durable. Use the thin stuff like you did for the layered portions of the armor, as in the details on the thigh plate and the rim around the shoulder bells, the straps on the belts as well as the belts themselves. But I would definitely use 1/4th inch for the armor plates. Also use Barge cement or similar over hot glue. It takes longer but is a much cleaner glue as well as a much stronger bond.
That's some great suggestions! It was my original plan but the thicker foam wouldn't get here in time, so i used what i already had. if I didn't have a deadline, I would definitely use thicker foam!
Hi , 👋 first time here , l love you enthusiasm and energy to make this beautiful video,l will be definitely be looking forward to you next video well done ,enjoy your week
I made a mandalorian armor set last summer for my original character (I even did a custom black series action figure to match) and it turned out pretty good. I work seasonal at party city for halloween and got to wear it to work and everyone loved it. I do plan to redo the chest piece this year cause how I ended up doing it was kinda bulky due to having the whole thing attached to a tactical vest and the plates ended up being a bit too big and cumbersome. but almost everything was held together with velcro and it worked pretty well. I still need to do the poncho/cloak too.
lol i love your videos soooo muccchhhhhh, im really excited about this one cus it is a dream costume to make, im definitely going to try it and maybe even create the helmet with Punished props tutorial and pattern. thank you for being awesome
We have the same borderline chaotic brink-of-insanity working method and I'm feeling seen. 😂 The costume looked great, once again you pulled it off like a boss! ...Also 24.00 : Lies, you know you will do that again!
Looks great!!! It’s not much harder if you use sintra/styrene! I’m working on a custom kit right now and the hardest part for me is not having a sewing machine at the moment to make the flak vest 😂😭
I love your videos but how do you get that much craft in my country there is not stores that sell craft foam that thick, do you order it or do you go to a cosplay store.
Just discovered this creative channel... how does this channel only have half a million subscribers.
What a hidden gem.
The energy here is contagious
