Sorry Jeff, if someone wants to learn what the Catholic church actually teaches (as opposed to the misunderstanding of an opponent mistakenly claims what they the church teaches) all they have to do is go to Catholic.com Going to a Protestant to find out what Catholics teach is like going to an atheist to find out what a Christian believes.
@Tyson Guess I totally agree. I am a former Protestant, went from Calvinism to Baptist to Lutheranism to Anglicanism until I finally became Roman Catholic. Every step of the way I discovered boldfaced lies about Catholicism, like that Catholics worship the Pope, that Catholics worship the saints and Mary, that they do not believe the Bible, that they threw out the 2nd commandment, sabbath day, etc. Boldfaced lies, seemingly no integrity whatsoever. But I think most of them were simply deceived by others, however people like Matt Slick and Jeff Durbin aren't exactly in the same position of innocence. *^There is a lot to say about this topic, so please consult shamelesspopery dot com, or you can even go to the YT channel LizziesAnswers a Protestant turned Catholic here on YouTub, almost her entire audiance converted with her. It happened a few months ago, check it out.*
@@tysonguess he is using this to attack the church, with is wicked in itself. He holds predestination, which God was the ring master to this, so he is all over the place.
Believe me, us Catholics are more angry about this than anyone else. Those whose job it is to shepherd Christ's flock will be punished all the more when they sin. As St. Athanasius famously said, "The floor of hell is paved with the skulls of bishops." Satan's attacks on the Church have always been relentless.
Will Williams No, you need to repent and come home to the Church which Jesus himself founded on Peter the rock, to whom he gave the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and the authority to bind and loose. Jesus promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against this Church, but you instead deny these words of Jesus and put your trust in the fallible interpretations of men instead. You have been lied to. Look at what the Catholic Church truly teaches. Study the history of early Christianity. See for yourself. We will welcome you with open arms.
@@SquirrellyFries I have studied what the great whore believes and it is pure evil. It is a mix of Christianity and paganism, more paganism then Christianity. turn repent and come to Christ alone..not Mary, not saints, and especially not a priest that y'all call father. Jesus alone.
@@SquirrellyFries i don't think you comprehend the whole Peter, rock, gates of hell and the church verses Jesus spoke about. Its not the Catholic religion its speaking of. Or literal keys. Research not using a Catholic opinion.
For it is written, "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." Priests or pastors who do this have a lot to answer on their day of judgement.
Catholicism is a different religion from Christianity and its view on sin and destruction is also different. It's not an expression of Christ but a rejection of Christ.
@@dali338 Thank you for the comment & I'm not mad of your comnent because we have a different perspective & beliefs so I truly respect your beliefs & please do pray for me. One thing I didn't mention is that I've been sexually abused by different men when I was a child & one of them is my Aunt husband & for so many years as I grow up I even question if there is God at all & its been really hard to forgive specially the husband of my Aunt whom I trust, respect & look up to as a father but by the grace of God I learn to forgive & so all the sexual abused that happens is a human problem because every minute of the day there's a child that being molested & sexually abused by their family members...most of it is not being reported, specially in a place that molested & sexually abused is not being talked about. God Bless & take care.
Dolly Tamingo sorry to hear that 😔 , I'm just so mad about what happened in the catholic church i didn't get why people still trust them while they cover on those predators who molested hundreds of thousands of poor children , forgiveness not always the answer, in this case it's a huge mistake, those predators should be punished to protect ur self and to protect others from them , what guarantee you that ur aunt's husband didn't abuse another victim after he abused you ? (apologise for my comment i will delete it)
My Aunt husband already died 2 months ago & he never ask for forgiveness & your right I'm not the only one he molested because he did molest others & my other 3 sisters so just imagine how mad I am when I learn about it. I won't go into details but all I can say is that I choose to forgive for myself for my own healing because carrying all the anger & hatred in my heart for so many years is destroying my life. Forgiving someone is not saying that person who did something bad to you is ok or it's the answer to any problem & most specially to all the priest who molested those poor children. I do agree with you 100% that all those priest including those who cover them up should be punished in God's time & I do have faith that God will going to do something about it. Like I said I have been molested by a different men, but I thank God that even though I am full of anger & hatred that time I never hated all men because I have a good father, 2 younger brothers & my Uncle the younger brother of my father who is really loving & caring & that is to show that not all men are evil...& it happens to be that I've been around with different priest as well who are really true to their faith & really good catholic priest. By the way you don't have to apologise because I do understand where your coming from & you have all the right to be mad because it is a serious matter & so just imagine how I feel when I heard the news because I belong to the Catholic church & not to mention that I know the feeling of being sexually abused but it's nothing to do with my being a Catholic & if ever I did leave I won't join other church & I'm certain with that because when I was in my dark times in my life...it is my fellow Catholic sisters & brothers in the church & some good catholic priest help me in my journey towards healing & to strengthen my faith in God.
Dolly Tamingo you are so strong sister but staying silent is a huge huge mistake and this is what makes those predators feel free cuz the majority of victims stay silent and this is what hurt them more and more and hurt everyone around them , a free evil means more molestation more abuse and more victims and this is will stop only if someone speaks about it and put that psycho in jail , personally i'm afraid of the society today , i'm not married yet and as much i want kids as much i don't want to bring them in to this evil world.
Staying in my Catholic Church is not being silent I can actually do more good by staying & fight besides there are no Church that are not with out faults, we are all sinners no one is perfect & yes I am strong only because of God's grace not me. I don't have kids as well so there you go...we have in common after all. It's so interesting to read all this comments of other fellow brothers & sisters in Christ & most of them have a point actually but calling the Catholic Church a part of a "Cult" really? I didn't read or find that in the Bible. Then I think I should wait until the day I die to find out & for the mean time I just continue to love & try my best to see Christ in every person I meet & talk too.
I'm Catholic, I agree so many leaders in the church have let the faithful down, however the core doctrines which are based on Scripture do not change. I follow Christ. I have nothing but love and respect for Pastor Durbin and these men. I have seen the pro life videos and will support them.

We all know from the very beginning that Satan's primary target was the Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, The Bride of Christ, that Our Lord established thru St. Peter, as His Vicar on earth, giving him the keys to His kingdom and the power to bind and loose. God has always set up His magisterium office on earth, such as he did with Moses, who also would sit excathadra on his chair/seat and issue rulings on matters not specifically addressed in the Torah and continued that office to his successors thru the laying on of hands. Remember, after Christ gave the power to St. Peter to lead and feed His sheep, satan demanded of Christ, " give him to me!" he was enraged and we know thru the Saints and Martyr's that satan has NEVER stopped attacking Christ's most precious gift to mankind, His Bride, the Holy Catholic Church, thru which we receive the Sacraments, particularly thru the sacrifice and miracle of the Holy Mass, we can receive the actual Body, Blood, Soul and Devinity of Our Blessed Lord. That is why it is critical to go to confession, repent of your sins, do penance for atonement and make firm commitment to amend your life and turn from sin.....only then can you receive the blessing, absolution and loosing of your sins...so that you are without grave/ mortal sin and worthy to receive Him...This was THE ONLY FAITH practiced by The Church for well over a thousand years...sure there were heretics, like Noticism, the Sorceror's and heretics like Sorenthis and Siomone, or Arians later.....who all could not come to grips with the real presence, the miracle Christ performs and promised, at every Mass, their Faith was weak...so like many protestants today that are in league with all the satan inspired heretics deny Christ presence in the Eucharist, deny the holy sacraments, deny the ordained priesthood for the binding and loosing of sins, they thumb their nose at what Our Lord set up and tell Him, "we don't need that, we will talk to you in private"( the sin of pride and blasphemous)....read the hundreds of thousands of letters from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th century from church to church, priest to priest on just mundane, normal church activity and needs.......confession and issues of penance and absolution....the Mass... the need of supplies, the Paten, the ciborium, chalice, thurible, corporal, tabernacle, monstrance, aspergillum, etc with specific instructions as to material to be made from.....letters of St. Sedonius, St. maxinius, St. linus, St. Ignatius, St. Demetrius, Silvanus, St. Hyppolotus, St. Polycarp, St. Athenasias,etc......We have actual Chalices and other items used in the Holy Mass from 1st or 2nd century many with inscriptions affirming the miracle of the actual presence of Christ in the Eucharist.....paintings and frescos galore also proclaiming this fact.......it took 1500 years of non-stop attacks by satan, thru heretics, to finally dismiss all the Holy Rites and Traditions, ignore what Christ established for our salvation and go off and make-up their own way.....now over 30, 000 separate and different interpretations of the way....this was satan's greatest achievement....and as a bonus Protestants led the way for the secular/pagan world to make contraception acceptable to the world, except those pesky Catholics who still hold it to be a grave sin and warned that the normalizing of contraception would have catastrophic consequences on the family, women, would lead to depravity and on their very souls....and said clearly that this would be the foot in the door that would eventually lead to mass numbers of abortions and infanticide. This is what happens when your liturgy is based on an unctuous, solipsistic prevarication...you unwittingly have done and continue to do the work of your father, the father of lies. That is why you will not suffer, the protestant church's, in this life anything close to the suffering the Catholic Church has suffered for all humanity throughout history and will continue to suffer, yet after each chastisement, Papal or Bishop scandal....no matter how grave it gets, His church comes back more pure and stronger than before... and as He said to St. Peter," I will be with you until the consummation of the world and the gates of hell shall not prevail against you."Satan has no need to attack the protest christain churchs, it has been and continues to do his bidding, by teaching the obvious and complete foolishness of once saved, always saved...that people can't lose their salvation. That is a pernicious and damnable lie from the pits of hell. There is practically nothing more clear from every book of scripture, with exception of philemon, that doesn't constantly warn baptized members of the Church to not fall back into sin for you will lose that grace you received and risk the damnation of your soul....Paul was emphatic about this constantly that you can lose your salvation. This idiotic and evil teaching, along with the childishly phony doctrine of sola scriptura, is leading souls by the millions to hell. I cry when I hear protestant pastors teach in a way that minimizes sin...."we are all sinners, I sin every day, we can't avoid sin".....Yes, we are all born sinners, but when baptized, receive the holy sacraments, regular confession, penance, mortification and constant prayer.....you CAN be what we were ALL called to be SAINTS....there are many, not nearly enough, devoutly, faithful Catholics who live every day in a state of Grace, they use all the tools Christ left for the Catholic Church and do not find it overly difficult to avoid sin and especially mortal sin altogether. I can tell you from my own experience, from my own lustful, depraved thoughts about women( I would have sworn I was born a fornicator)....and then started going to weekly confession, doing penance, mortifications, regular Holy Communion and say The Rosary every day, asking our Blessed Mother to pray for my purity to Her SON....those evil thoughts are long gone now,as my love for Him and to be with Him grows. When you sin, you turn your back on God and reject the Grace He bestows to you, you separate yourself from Him. You simply cannot honestly say you love God if you continue to sin, knowing how deeply it grieves Him. Please consider, know matter how loud you proclaim that "you believe or say that you believe that he is the/your savior".....satan and all his demons believe and know that very well, yet they have no hope. They chose to sin against the Grace of God, their pride and lust for sin was greater than their love for God. If you die with a mortal sin on your soul, which means you remained outside of His Holy Apostolic Church and refused the power of His Holy sacraments that He left for us, a beautiful and sacred rite for the absolution of our sins, you refused His clear and unambiguous authority He left to St. Peter and His Church, you are in serious risk of damnation....Please open your hearts, pray the Prideful scales be removed from your eyes and come home to the Bride of Christ, His Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.....we need All of the Church Militant now to come home as we prepare for the battle, as satan has infected and corrupted many priests, even those at the highest level. By the power of the Holy Spirit we will clean out the filth, and have no fear or doubt.....The Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ is and will always be our King....and the Immaculate Heart of His Blessed Mother( the Arc of the New Covenant) is our Queen....so we know with ontological certitude that the Church Militant on earth will be the Church Triumphant in Heaven.
If you truly want to know to all your questions then do your diligent research about Catholicism but only if you are open to it, but if not then it doesn't matter at all.
I stand in total agreement with you regarding the Catholic Church. God bless the amazing work these wonderful Pastors from Apologia Church do for the unborn and to witness to Jehovah’s Witnesses and to Mormons, etc. Naturally they are right that the sins of these predator Priests are horrible and satanic, but the true Catholic Church is not, but rather It was founded by Jesus Himself. Satan has tricked so many with clever lies about the Catholic Church.
Pastor Jeff, please share with us viewers how the New Testament was added to the Bible. Who identified the 27 books and under what authority were those books added to the Bible?
I believe James White addressed this on his podcast/ stream (Alpha & Omega Ministries, check out the TH-cam channel). The short version is this: The canon is NOT a creation of the church. The canon is an integral and consequent part of the inspiration of certain Biblical books; it's authority comes from being of God. The church's part is not creation or ratification; the church's part is recognition. Just as the church doesn't make Deuteronomy true, so the church doesn't make the table of contents true.
The first recorded application of "catholic" or "universal" to the church is by Ignatius of Antioch in about 107 in his Epistle to the Smyrnaeans, chapter VIII. "Wherever the bishop appears, there let the people be; as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." [24] Church Fathers like Ignatius of Antioch, Irenaeus, Tertullian and Cyprian held to the view that the Christian Church was a visible entity, not an invisible body of believers
I am RC. I also admire much of what Jeff Durban does on the pro life movement . I also listen to Bishop Robert Barron. I would like to see a conversation on the differences between the two.
Unfortunately Apologia has never actually tried to talk to a Catholic that knows what they are talking about. And I doubt that they ever will because it's easier to sit behind a camera and throw accusations. I would also love to see (Also as a Catholic) a conversation between the two.
The celebacy comments are mistaken in some parts partly due to an incomplete understanding of it. Priestly celebacy is a discipline and not a dogma. And that is in the Latin Rite. The other 22 rites allow married men to be priests. For those in the Latinn rite, no one puts a gun to their head. They have 6 years of formation before being ordained to the transitional diaconate and may discern out at any time. Also there are permanent deacons in all 23 rites and married med are allowed to be ordained there.
if you don't see that Catholics are death worshippers then you are not looking hard enough . Why do you think they put Jesus on a cross, frail and weak, when He did not stay on the cross, but arose on the third day .
That truly is the scary thing. However, as the word of God tells us, there is nothing hidden that will not be made manifest, I pity all who succumb to this deceptive roman heresy and then try to propagate it because of pride! Peace and blessings to you brother/sister in Christ.
Jeff love your work but you need to check your facts on the Catholic church from the first century. See st Ignatius of Antioch born thirty ad. See their interpretation of scripture is different to yours
The last sexual assault was over 20 yrs ago.yes it was absolutely terrible and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and the bishops should be responsible as well for moving these priests around. No the media always talk about the Catholic Church and yet no one talks about that the number of sexual abuses are more than double and Protestant churches then there are in the Catholic Church and not to mention all the sexual abuses that are happening to students by their teachers far more worst. But this is what it's expected when you are the true church. Like they say " does Satan even know about the Protestant churches?" He's always at the heels of the Catholic Church.
Honestly don’t think they are up for that. I’m Protestant But when you dig deeper you find out the Catholics have a lot of valid arguments based on church history.

Questions for Catholics..... 1 - When Yeshua instituted the supper, he had not yet been crucified. How then was the Eucharist his body and blood? 2 - If, as the Roman Catholic Church teaches, that the Eucharist wine is the literal blood of Yeshua, then how is that not violating the Old Testament against drinking the blood of any flesh? 3 - How is it possible for the Eucharist to be the actual body and blood of Yeshua, if by definition, a human body is only in one place at one time as Yeshua's body was in incarnation, especially when you realize that Yeshua is still a man (1 Timothy 2:5), Col. 2:9). 4 - The Roman Catholic Church says that individuals are not allowed to interpret the Bible, but that they must submit to the teaching authority of the Catholic Church. How then can you know if the Catholic Church is correct if you can't check it against scripture? Remember, Paul praised the Bereans for checking even what he said against scripture (Acts 17:11). "The task of giving an authentic interpretation of the Word of God, whether in it's written form of tradition, has been entrusted to the living teaching office of the Church alone. It's authority in this matter is exercised in the name of Jesus Christ," (CCC par. 85). "....no one, relying on his own skill, shall, - in matter of faith, and of morals pertaining to the edification of Christian doctrine, - wrestling the sacred scripture to his own senses, presume to interpret the sacred scripture contrary to that sense which holy mother church, whose it is to judge of the true sense and interpretation of the holy scriptures, - hath held and doth," (Trent Session 4, "Decree Concerning the Edition, and the Use , of the Sacred Books"). 5 - Does the phrase "let each man be convinced to his own mind" (Romans 14:5) mean that a person is able to look at the scriptures and be fully convinced according to what he sees it says? If not, why not? 6 - If the phrase "let each man be convinced his own mind" (Romans 14:5) mean that a person is able to look at the scriptures on his own, what does he do if he believes what he sees in scripture contradicts the Roman Catholic Church's teaching? 7 - If the phrase "let each man before he convinced his own mind" means that he is able to interpret scripture on his own, then doesn't that contradict the official teaching of the Roman Catholic Church which denies you the right to interpret God's word regarding faith, morals, and the doctrines in a manner inconsistent with what it proclaims? 8 - How many verses has the Roman Catholic Church officially, infallibly interpreted? It is extremely low. How then do you know what is actually correct? 9 - Can you as Catholic, pray directly to Yeshua, not going to Marian (Mary), and ask Yeshua to forgive you of all your sins? John 14:14, "if ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." 10 - If you did, would you be forgiven of all your sins? 11 - If you were forgiven of all your sins, then do you need all the rituals and sacraments of RCC in order to be forgiven? 12 - If you're not forgiven by Yeshua, when you pray to Him and ask Him to forgive you, then why is Yeshua not enough to save you? 13 - Do you really believe that Mary is able to hear and understand the prayers of millions of people all over the world, simultaneously, in different languages, spoken, and in thought? 14 - If you do believe she has those abilities, how are you not attributing godlike abilities to her? 15 - Why pray to Mary when Yeshua said to come to Him (Matthew 11:28), ask Him anything (John 14:14), and He has all the authority in heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18)? Isn't Yeshua capable enough without Mary? 16 - Is Mary better than Yeshua? "After speaking of the Church, her origin, mission, and destiny, we can't find no better way than looking to Mary." (Cathechism of the Catholic Church 972). 17 - Is a person wrong for praying to Yeshua alone and asking Yeshua to forgive them all of his sins? 18 - What is the saving Gospel? 19 - Are you keeping the commandments of God? 20 - Are you doing what is necessary to be saved? In Roman catholicism that is necessary for salvation includes the church (CCC 846), baptism (CCC 1257), penance (CCC 980), Sacraments (CCC 1129), service and witness to faith (CCD1816), Keeping the ten commandments (CCC 2036 and 2070), and detachment to riches (CCC 2556). 21 - If you are keeping the commandments of God, do you also go to confession? 22 - Since it is possible for you to lose salvation in Roman catholicism, are you doing enough good works to keep yourself saved? 23 - Is it ok to exceed what is written in scripture and teach things that are not taught in scripture as though they are doctrinally true? The list goes on, so if you're able to answer these, I got 10 more on the list I can add.
1 - Because transubstantiation is not relative to the actual crucifixion. One could easily say if the crucifixion was two thousand years ago how can the eucharist be Jesus' literal body and blood, but the answer would be the same. The transformative process hinges on God's power and authority, not temporal matters of occurrence, and if Christ as the incarnated Son wills it to be so than it is done according to his will. 2 - Because the literal body and blood of Christ is not being consumed in a cannibalistic manner. The body and blood hide behind the accents of bread and wine, which God implemented because of his abhorrence of things like cannibalism. 3 - Because Christ is not subject to a restriction of physical form. If he can multiply loaves of bread and fish to feed forty thousand people by only using a small morsel to start off with, what makes you think that Christ is so impotent as to do the same with his very body? 4 - Because the church is the pillar and foundation of truth as affirmed in 1 Timothy 3:15. 5 - Because Romans 14:5 has nothing to do with the interpretation of scripture, but treating others with contempt because of vain matters like dietary restrictions or differences in daily observance. 6 - He should seek out why the church believes what it does before jumping to conclusions that it is wrong. 7 - Well it doesn't mean that to begin with so the premise of the question is false. 8 - The church doesn't need to interpret every single verse of the Bible. If there is a straightforward passage, it can stand alone. However, for confusing ones that can have multiple meanings, we can go to established orthodox doctrine of the church to act as a keystone in our critique or we can simply go to context as well. 9 - Yes 10 - Yes, so long as they were venial or we were resolve to return to a path of righteousness and humble ourselves in confession as soon as we are able if they were mortal. 11 - Reconciliation is not a sacrament of the Church but of God. God is not bound by his sacraments, so if we are truly in need he may very well forgive us regardless, but it is best to employ the sacraments seeing as they are divinely instituted channels of grace. 12 - We can be, so the premise of the question is wrong. 13 - We are not bound by human limitations when God is on our side on Earth or when we are in a state perfect holiness of Heaven. For instance, that's why the apostles were able to speak countless languages over night, because human limitation is removed with God. 14 - Because we believe it is God that grants her and others in Heaven the potential to do so. The power does not come from themselves, but from the Lord. 15 - Yes, Christ is more than capable of such things. However, he never said we have to pray only to him when outside the context of worship. 16 - No, and the Church doesn't believe that either. 17 - No 18 - I can only assume your talking about how Catholics believe salvation occurs. If so it is as follows: We believe that we are saved by grace, justified by faith, and that that faith is substantiated and supported by works. 19 - We're all fallen sinners, but we try our best 20 - The sacraments and keeping in good Christian conduct fall under the "works" part mentioned in 18, in which works substantiate a living faith. However, it is not as rigid as your question suggests, and therefore the premise is wrong. 21 - We should go to confession as much as possible, seeing as it acts as a channel of grace like all sacraments are, but seeing as we can never perfectly keep the commandments of God and reach a state of sustained sinlessness as fallen creatures who have sinned in the past, the premise of the question is wrong. 22 - If you mean are we doing good works to substantiate a living faith in line with James' assertion on the matter, then it depends on the person. 23 - Yes, because as Jimmy Akin says, the Bible was never meant to be a book of systematic theology. As John says, there were things that happened in the ministry of Jesus and the interactions of the apostles that weren't written down, and Paul even voices his approval of appealing to sacred tradition in 2 Thessalonians 2:15

Faye Lewis as I always say, the crimes of the faithful do not always represent the merits of the faith. Just because there were those who acted immorally in the name of Catholicism does not mean that catholicism itself is responsible for these acts. For instance, the abuse rate of Protestant clergy and ministers is about the same as their Catholic counterparts (both currently linger at about 3%) but that does not mean that the actions of these men and women disprove evangelical Christianity.
J J The roman church claims to be "infallibly led by the Holy Spirit", yet they have so many heresies in their evil teachings, tell me please, do you know what the Holy Bible (God's Word) says about blasphemies against the Holy Spirit?
This is not the worst thing someone in the Catholic Church has done. The worst thing anyone has done in the Catholic church was when Judas betrayed the Son of God for thirty pieces of silver.
Matthew 16:19 Jesus says to Peter “I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven”. This proves Jesus established the Papacy because he is all knowing, and because peter passed this authority, the words of all of Peter’s successors are bound to Heaven and Earth. Despite there being bad popes, the church has remained consistent with its teachings. A scandal can’t discredit the entire Church, as these Popes are only men. Consider historically how Politics come into play as well, of course people slander the Pope, and it’s been happening for thousands of years. That’s not an excuse for the things that actually have happened, but God chooses these people to lead the Church for a reason. Nowhere does scripture, indicate that Peter’s successors are perfect people is what I’m getting at
Catholics are convinced, as they’ve been taught by the Catholic Church, that ‘their’ church is the ‘only’ true church. Jesus’ Church is the community of ALL believers who love Him, and show their love for Him by loving others.
@@antlers163 Ok simple, show me 100 Christians, I'll show you 100 different types. Protestant Christianity is the most divided group in human history. Everyone interprets scripture for themselves and claim the holy Spirit is guiding them. Some argue predestination, female pastors, homosexuality, abortion, that Jesus was never man but a spiritual being, and thousands of other things with the Bible. The Catholic Church had unchanged doctrine for 2,000 years starting with Christ himself.
Unbelievable. The saddest part is people will use this as an excuse to not have faith at all. Even though it’s simply a result of a fallen world in a false religion.
Hi Jeff. I respect your pro-life work and find your arguments coherent and cogent; I've learned much from watching your channel. And yet I understand your stance on the Catholic Church to be at least, uninformed at best,. combative. I invite you to dialogue with a practicing Catholic who accepts and understands the varying trials the Church sufferers as part of satan's attempts to destroy her. I'll leave my email on your website.
I hate to disagree with your comment, but I know from my own experience that the Catholic Church teachings are based on man made doctrine. Another thing I was taught, in catholic school, is that GOD is nondenominational. Period! GOD did not create any religion. Not even catholics! It only took over 30 years for me to know the truth! Amen!
@@dianeboyer1881 All the reformers doctrine began 1600 years after the Church and the church's Bible. All those Catholic doctrines were in place from the beginning. You might not believe in those doctrines but you must concede that from Luther to Calvin these teachings run contrary to all the early Church professed. My question is, who gave them the authority to change them? There must be a place in the Bible that foretells the end of the Church Christ built and the subsequent changes that should take place once it is usurped. It should be clear and concise that the original Church would fail even as Jesus spoke of the gates of hell being unable to prevail against her. Show me that passage.

Since Jeff is endorsing murdering as punishment based on the law in Deuteronomy 4 I am simply continuing that with 22:29 proper punishment for the infraction. It is also referenced in Exodus 22 16-17
@Gripping For Jesus78 Jesus couldn't have led a perfect life if Mary had sinned. Because Mary's sin would have been passed to Jesus. It's called original sin, read the Bible.
I used to say the Hail Mary when I was a Catholic, and asking her to pray for us is in fact a prayer to Mary. She was a wonderful blessed person to be used by GOD in such an important way, however I would never want to explain to Jesus why I prayed to a human instead of Him without the forgiveness for doing so thru Him alone.

Hi @Apologia Studios, when you said in this video that we should turn people over to the authorities for crimes committed in the church, how would that fit that with 1 Cor. 6:1-11 which seems to condemn taking a believer to court?
You don't obey a church. Jesus said, "Follow Me." If ye love Me, keep My commandments." (not the church) It won't matter on Judgment Day what any church, pastor, pope, priest, preacher, bishop, elder, religion, denomination, etc. has ever said. You have an appointment with death and an appointment with God. Do you know for sure if you died today where you would spend eternity?
Question: "Are apparitions of Mary, such as Lady Fatima, true messages from God?" Answer: In Catholic tradition, there are many reported occurrences of Mary, angels, and/or saints appearing and delivering a message from God. It is likely that, at least in some of these cases, the people were genuinely seeing something supernatural. While some of what is seen in various places is perhaps the work of charlatans, other apparitions were apparently authentic. However, an apparition being authentic does not mean it is a message from God or a genuine appearance of Mary, an angel, or a saint. Scripture declares that Satan and his demons masquerade as angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Satanic deception is just as possible an explanation for the apparitions. The only way to determine whether an apparition is a "lying wonder" or a genuine message from God is to compare the message of the apparition with Scripture. If the teachings that are attached to these apparitions are contrary to the Word of God, the apparitions themselves are then satanic in nature. A study of the teachings of Our Lady Fatima with the "Miracle of the Sun" is a good example. It would indeed seem that something spectacular happened on October 13, 1917, and that “something” did in fact appear and deliver a message. The fact that its timing coincided with what had been told to the shepherd children three months earlier would seem to tie this event with the apparitions they had been seeing over the previous months, first of the angel and later of the "Lady of Fatima." When one compares the message of Fatima to what the Bible teaches, it is evident that the message of Fatima combines some biblical truth with several unbiblical practices and teachings. The following paragraphs are quoted directly from a website dedicated to the "Lady of Fatima," www.fatima.org. Specific words or sentences are underlined to indicate them to be unbiblical (not taught by the Bible), or anti-biblical (contradictory to the Bible). Following the lengthy quotations, more information will be given with specific reasons for classifying these apparitions as "lying wonders." Here then is a quoted summary of the overall message given by the Lady of Fatima: The Message of Lady Fatima in General "The general Message of Fatima is not complicated. Its requests are for prayer, reparation, repentance, and sacrifice, and the abandonment of sin. Before Our Lady appeared to the three shepherd children, Lucy, Francisco and Jacinta, the Angel of Peace visited them. The Angel prepared the children to receive the Blessed Virgin Mary, and his instructions are an important aspect of the Message that is often overlooked. "The Angel demonstrated to the children the fervent, attentive, and composed manner in which we should all pray, and the reverence we should show toward God in prayer. He also explained to them the great importance of praying and making sacrifices in reparation for the offenses committed against God. He told them: 'Make of everything you can a sacrifice and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication, for the conversion of sinners.' In his third and final apparition to the children, the Angel gave them Holy Communion, and demonstrated the proper way to receive Our Lord in the Eucharist: all three children knelt to receive Communion; Lucy was given the Sacred Host on the tongue and the Angel shared the Blood of the Chalice between Francisco and Jacinta. "Our Lady stressed the importance of praying the Rosary in each of Her apparitions, asking the children to pray the Rosary every day for peace. Another principal part of the Message of Fatima is devotion to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart, which is terribly outraged and offended by the sins of humanity, and we are lovingly urged to console Her by making reparation. She showed Her Heart, surrounded by piercing thorns (which represented the sins against Her Immaculate Heart), to the children, who understood that their sacrifices could help to console Her. "The children also saw that God is terribly offended by the sins of humanity, and that He desires each of us and all mankind to abandon sin and make reparation for their crimes through prayer and sacrifice. Our Lady sadly pleaded: 'Do not offend the Lord our God any more, for He is already too much offended!' "The children were also told to pray and sacrifice themselves for sinners, in order to save them from hell. The children were briefly shown a vision of hell, after which Our Lady told them: 'You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.' "Our Lady indicated to us the specific root of all the troubles in the world, the one that causes world wars and such terrible suffering: sin. She then gave a solution, first to individual people, then to the Church’s leaders. God asks each one of us to stop offending Him. We must pray, especially the Rosary. By this frequent prayer of the Rosary, we will get the graces we need to overcome sin. God wants us to have devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to work to spread this devotion throughout the world. Our Lady said, 'My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.' If we wish to go to God, we have a sure way to Him through true devotion to the Immaculate Heart of His Mother. "In order to move ever closer to Her, and therefore to Her Son, Our Lady stressed the importance of praying at least five decades of the Rosary daily. She asked us to wear the Brown Scapular. And we must make sacrifices, especially the sacrifice of doing our daily duty, in reparation for the sins committed against Our Lord and Our Lady. She also stressed the necessity of prayers and sacrifices to save poor sinners from hell. The Message of Fatima, to individual souls, is summarized in these things." On the same website, there is recorded an interview between Sister Lucy (the 10-year-old shepherd girl who was among the three children who saw the apparitions in 1917) and a Father Fuentes. The interview took place in 1957. In this interview focusing on Fatima and its message, Sister Lucy says the following: "Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin, and the devil knows what it is that most offends God, and which in a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus the devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way the devil will succeed in leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby the more easily to seize them. "Father, the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world, but She made me understand this for three reasons. The first reason is because She told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat. Hence from now on we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil; there is no other possibility. "The second reason is because She said to my cousins as well as to myself, that God is giving two last remedies to the world. They are the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last two remedies which signify that there will be no others. "The third reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence, God always, before He is about to chastise the world, exhausts all other remedies. Now, when He sees that the world pays no attention whatsoever then, as we say in our imperfect manner of speaking, He offers us with a certain trepidation the last means of salvation, His Most Holy Mother. It is with a certain trepidation because if you despise and reject this ultimate means, we will not have any more forgiveness from Heaven, because we will have committed a sin which the Gospel calls the sin against the Holy Ghost. This sin consists of openly rejecting, with full knowledge and consent, the salvation which He offers. Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good Son and that He does not permit that we offend and despise His Most Holy Mother. We have recorded through many centuries of Church history the obvious testimony which demonstrates by the terrible chastisements which have befallen those who have attacked the honor of His Most Holy Mother, how Our Lord Jesus Christ has always defended the honor of His Mother. "The two means for saving the world are prayer and sacrifice. [Regarding the Holy Rosary, Sister Lucy said:] Look, Father, the Most Holy Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls. "Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Most Holy Mother, consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and as the sure door of entering Heaven." www.gotquestions.org/lady-fatima.html
In the above paragraphs concerning the message that Sister Lucy felt that the apparition wished to communicate to the world, there are so many things that are not only not found in Scripture but are contrary to Scripture. 1) Mary is referred to as the "Most Holy Mother" and having an "Immaculate Heart." By this Catholics do not mean that she was given the righteousness and holiness given to saints through the imputed righteousness of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17-21) but that she was saved from sin in every form through having been conceived in her mother's womb without the stain of original sin. Never does the Bible refer to Mary as being sinless. Never does it refer to her having an immaculate heart. Rather, Mary refers to God as her Savior (Luke 1:47). This places her with the rest of humanity, as a sinner needing a Savior, but the Catholic Church holds that Mary was saved from sin through the merits of Christ by being conceived without sin and then living a sinless life. Again, never is this taught in Scripture. Rather, what Scripture teaches is that there is only one exception to the truth that we are all sinners (Romans 3:10, 3:23, etc.). That single exception is Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5). 2) Sister Lucy speaks of devotion to the "Immaculate Heart" of Mary and saying the Rosary as the "last two remedies to the world." She also states that there is no problem that cannot be solved by saying the Rosary. It is the teaching of Fatima that saying the Rosary will lead to the salvation of many souls. Again, never is such a teaching found in Scripture. The Rosary's main prayer is the "Hail, Mary," which is repeated fifty times. The first half of it is a quote from Scripture of the greeting of the angel to Mary, "Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb." but the second half says, "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death." Besides giving Mary a title which Scripture does not, it asks Mary to pray for us. Indeed, Catholics not only see Mary as the one through whom ALL of God's grace flows, and the one who intercedes to her Son on our behalf, but Catholics also direct prayers to her to deliver people from sin, from war, etc. Pope John Paul II's prayer from the early 1980s to Mary is an example of such. In this prayer he repeatedly pleads to Mary to "deliver us" from nuclear war, famine, self-destruction, injustice, etc. Again, never do we find a godly person in Scripture praying to anyone but God or asking for intercession by anyone but those still living on this earth. Prayer to Mary or to saints is not found in the Bible. Rather, Scripture directs us to pray to God (Luke 11:1-2; Matthew 6:6-9; Philippians 4:6; Acts 8:22; Luke 10:2, etc.)! God entreats us to come boldly unto the throne of grace (His throne) that we may find grace and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16). God promised us that the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God with groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). Why do we need to go through a saint, angel or Mary, especially considering the fact that neither the example of doing so nor the command of doing so is ever given in Scripture? Concerning prayer, we have the repeated example of two things in Scripture: a) Prayer is made to God alone (2 Corinthians 13:7; Romans 10:1; 15:30; Acts 12:5; Acts 10:2; Acts 8:24; Acts 1:24; Zechariah 8:21-22; Jonah 2:7; 4:2, etc.) b) Requests for prayer are made only to the living (1 Thessalonians 5:25; 2 Thessalonians 3:1; Hebrews 13:18, etc.) In addition, nowhere is it taught that Mary is all-seeing, all-hearing, and omniscient (or nearly so), as she would have to be to hear and respond to the multitude of prayers that are directed toward her from the many Catholics who pray to her simultaneously around the world. Instead Scripture teaches that both angels and the spirits of the dead are finite beings, able to only be in one place at a time (Daniel 9:20-23; Luke 16:19f). 3) One of the repeated messages of Fatima is the call for personal "reparation" or "penance." This Catholic concept teaches that we must make amends to God and to Mary for the sins we have committed against them. Repeating one of the phrases from "The Message in General," the angel told the children to "make of everything you can a sacrifice and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended..." Reparation is defined as "an expiation ... something done or paid as amends; compensation." This ties in with the Roman Catholic teaching of temporal punishment which a person can take care of through penance now or through time spent in purgatory later. The Bible NEVER speaks of the need to make "reparation" for our sins or doing "penance" to pay for our sins. Rather, what it teaches is that we are to offer our lives as living sacrifices to God in gratitude for all of the mercies He has shown us in salvation (Romans 12:1-2). When a person becomes a Christian, his sins are forgiven and paid for in full by Christ. There remains no further payment that can be made for them, no further expiation required. 4) A key aspect of following the Lady of Fatima is the bowing down before and venerating the images associated with the apparition. Throughout the Bible, we find that any time someone bows down before one of the "saints" or angels, he is told to get up and to stop. Only when done to "the Angel of the Lord" (a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ) or before Jesus or God the Father is such veneration accepted. Catholics make a distinction between "worshiping" God and "venerating" Mary and the saints, but when John the Apostle prostrates himself before an angel, the angel does not ask, "Are you worshiping me or venerating me?" The angel simply tells him to stop and to "worship God" (Revelation 19:10). Likewise, when Peter was being "venerated" (prokuneo - the Greek word that the Catholic Church uses for "veneration" as opposed to "adoration" which only God deserves) by Cornelius in Acts 10:25, Peter tells Cornelius, "Stand up, I myself am also a man." It should be noted that prokuneo is used in the Revelation passage as well. Thus, we have the repeated example of an angel or "saint" being "honored" and the command to stop doing so! Thus, praying to Mary is contrary to the scriptural admonition to pray to God and the scriptural example to do so. It is also illogical to substitute praying to an all-loving, omniscient, omnipotent God (Psalm 139; Hebrews 4:14-16) for praying to some saint or Mary, when there is no scriptural evidence that they can even hear prayers. To pray to saints and Mary on a worldwide basis is to ascribe to them the attributes of omnipresence and omniscience which God alone possesses-this truly is idolatry! 5)Concerning the "Miracle of the Sun," there are repeated cases in which "lying wonders" are spoken of in Scripture (Exodus 7:22; 8:7; 8:18; Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Revelation 13:13-14). God tells us in Deuteronomy 13:1f that when someone makes a prediction that comes true or gives a seemingly miraculous "sign," but he is teaching the worship of strange gods, not to give heed to him but rather to treat him as a false prophet. For a Christian, the "content of faith" ought to be the Bible and what it teaches (Isaiah 8:20; 2 Timothy 3:16). And while Catholics may argue that the "Lady of Fatima" is not calling on us to worship "strange gods" but to worship the true God, the idea of venerating Mary to such an extent that her "Immaculate Heart" is put on the same level of devotion as Jesus' "Sacred Heart" is undeniably the exaltation of a woman to a position never given to her in Scripture-equality with God. To honor her as one would honor Christ is to exalt her. Likewise, to focus on Mary to such an extent that we spend more time praying to her than to God is also idolatrous, especially in light of the direct commands of Scripture to pray to God and the complete silence in Scripture concerning any exaltation of, or prayer to, Mary. Was the "Miracle of the Sun" a lying wonder? Based on biblical teaching, it would certainly seem so. Satan has no problem mixing enough truth to make a teaching seem right with just enough error to damn souls to hell. Where is the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Christ-the message repeated throughout the whole of the New Testament-ever mentioned in the whole message of Fatima? Where is it ever mentioned that salvation is only through faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary and that our works have no merit apart from Him (Ephesians 2:8-9)? Penance and making offerings for reparation of our sins are antithetical to Christ's finished work on Calvary and of our need for salvation by grace alone through faith in Him alone. Calling upon Mary and her “Immaculate Heart” and viewing the Rosary as the ultimate means of saving souls fly in the face of such biblical truths as Acts 4:12 and 1 Timothy 2:5. "To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20).
uestion: "Is praying the rosary scriptural?" Answer: Praying the rosary is promoted within the Catholic Church as a means of strengthening one’s faith, resisting evil, growing spiritually, and generally benefiting society. While some of the prayer of the rosary is scriptural, the whole second half of the “Hail Mary” and portions of the “Hail, Holy Queen” are blatantly unbiblical. While the first part of the Hail Mary is almost a direct quotation from Luke 1:28, there is no scriptural basis for (1) praying to Mary, (2) addressing her as “holy,” or (3) calling her “our life” and “our hope.” Praying the rosary involves giving attributes to Mary that the Bible never gives her. To call Mary “holy”-the Catholic Church teaches that Mary never sinned or had any taint of original sin-is not biblical. The Bible calls all believers “saints,” which can be interpreted as “holy ones,” but Scripture says that the righteousness believers have is the imparted righteousness from Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). In this life, no one is yet sanctified from sin in practice (1 John 1:9-2:1). Jesus is called our Savior repeatedly in Scripture because He saved us from our sin. In Luke 1:47, Mary calls God her “Savior.” Savior from what? A sinless person does not need a Savior. Sinners need a Savior. Mary acknowledged that God was her Savior. Therefore, Mary acknowledged that she was a sinner. Jesus came to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21). The Roman Catholic Church claims that Mary was saved from sin differently from everyone else-that she was saved from sin through the immaculate conception (her being conceived free of sin). But is this teaching scriptural? The Roman Catholic Church openly admits that this doctrine is not found in Scripture. When a young man addressed Jesus as “good Master” (Matthew 19:16-17), Jesus asked why he called Him “good” since there is none good but one, God. Jesus was trying to make the young man aware that he was using the term good too loosely. In praying the rosary, Catholics use the term holy too loosely. No one, including Mary, is holy but God. This ties in with Romans 3:10-23, Romans 5:12, and countless other passages that stress the fact that in God’s eyes no one measures up. Never is Mary excluded from such all-encompassing statements. But praying the rosary has an even more basic problem, namely, that much of the prayer directed to Mary, not to God. We are never told in the Bible whether anyone else in heaven can even hear us. God alone is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He taught them to address their prayers to God the Father. Every example of prayer in the Bible is addressed to God alone. There is never a single example of someone praying to any “saint” or angel or anyone else (besides prayers to false gods). Further, any time that a pious person prostrates himself (in a religious setting) to honor someone else besides God (chiefly to the apostles or angels), he is told to get up, to stop it (Acts 10:25-26; 14:13-16; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 19:10; 22:8-9). The Roman Catholic Church states that it worships God alone but “venerates” Mary and the saints. What is the difference? A person praying the rosary spends more time calling out to Mary than to God. For every one praise of God in the rosary, there are ten praises of Mary! Praying the rosary also assigns a task to Mary that the Bible never assigns her. Jesus is our Redeemer (Galatians 3:13; 4:4-5; Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 5:9), our heavenly Advocate (1 John 2:1), and our one and only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). The “Hail, Holy Queen” portion of the rosary prayer calls Mary our “most gracious advocate.” This is a direct contradiction of the clear biblical teaching that only Jesus is our go-between. Praying the rosary requires Catholics to call upon Mary as the “holy Queen.” The only time in Scripture that the title “Queen of Heaven” is found, the term is used in a negative way (Jeremiah 7:17-19; 44:16-27). The Bible never pictures Mary as a queen; rather, she calls herself “the Lord’s servant” (Luke 1:38). She is never given a crown or authority over heaven and earth. Likewise, is it appropriate, while praying the rosary, to call Mary our “life” and “hope”? Again, these are terms that are used of God alone in Scripture (John 1:1-14; Colossians 3:4; 1 Timothy 1:1; Ephesians 2:12; Titus 2:13). The practice of saying the rosary runs contrary to Scripture in a number of ways. Only God can hear our prayers. Only God can answer our prayers. We have one intermediary (Jesus), and it is in His name we pray, not Mary’s. www.gotquestions.org/praying-rosary.html
You strike me as a Christian of good conscience. Therefore, out of your concern for the souls of Catholics, would you consider a public debate with a keepable catholic apologist? Trent Horn? Tim Staples? Both have debated your hero James White.
Kyle There is one between White and Staples mostly centered on Sola Scriptura. I felt White lost his decorum more than Staples did. As for raw points and general solid case, I felt Staples overall had a comfortable lead by the end. The one with Horn surprised me. As a former Protestant turned Catholic, I found myself cheering for Horn but due to his youth and lack of debates compared to White, I was confident that White would win. It was not even close! Horn won by a landslide. White went on to make three videos to make the case that he one. My read of it is White was giving a "tell" that he lost and deep down he knew it. One of the strengths Horn had was in centering on the teachings of Jesus in the gospels and largley interpreting Paul through that foundation. In fact, Horn showed several of the holes of Luther if I recall correctly.
It is almost a waste of time to debate the insufferably duplicitous, solipsistic carbuncle that is White. The bow-tied deceiver....Blithering Prevarication lll. Even those that know him admit, and , anyone who has witnessed with a discerning eye, all say he has an enormous, obvious and palpable sinful Pride, a gringingly pernicious arrogance. It becomes obvious that he has no interest in the truth, its 100% about him looking good. Time after time, I have seen him contradict himself from earlier claims, but blatantly deny it( until you go back later to see him lying but the show is over at that point, or he gets cornered in his childish theology constantly and he has his pat, go-to, obfuscations to avoid an honest answer, ie, attacking the question, its not a proper way to exam scripture, will absolutely refuse to answer the question and run to his "homebase" , a part of scripture he wants to talk about, but doesn't address question straight on.....he holds himself out to be the arbitrator of what is proper questions, context, etc...its nauseating...he is like trying to hold a jellyfish or ell in one hand. It has been said, "He uses words the way a squid uses ink."
Well we can debunk Petrine primacy, the Papacy and therefore the whole "Catholic" Magisterium with a single passage of scripture, so how would you feel about a 30 second "debate"? Galatians chapter 2 6 As for those who were HELD IN HIGH ESTEEM-whatever they were MAKES NO DIFFERENCE to me; God does not show favoritism-they added NOTHING to my message. 7 On the CONTRARY, THEY RECOGNISED that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the UNCIRCUMCISED JUST AS Peter had been to the CIRCUMCISED There you go, Roman Catholicism dismantled. But there is more: 8 For God, who was at work in Peter as AN APOSTLE to the CIRCUMCISED, was also at work in ME as an APOSTLE to the Gentiles. 9 James, Cephas and John, those ESTEEMED as PILLARS, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the GRACE GIVEN TO ME. They agreed that WE should go to the Gentiles, and THEY to the CIRCUMCISED. 10 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along. Absolutely clear - repeated twice - the 12 Apostles left untouched Pauls mission given by Christ Himself. A clear DISTINCTION between their ministries, not a merging. This would be an impossible description, if Peter was the Chief High Priest or Papa, sitting on a chair in Rome.
I was a calvinist for nine years in the last two months I’ve been studying Catholic apologetics and I’m convinced calvinists have no idea what Rome actually teaches
Lumen Gentium 16 teaches you don't actually need know Jesus to be saved. Meanwhile Trent says Im anathema for no other reason then because I believe I am saved through faith alone. I wouldn't claim to understand everything about Catholicism but I understand enough.
So us Catholics are to leave the true church founded by Jesus himself because of a punch of bad Judas type priest. You get flak when you are over the target
*Happy* Roman Catholic here, I am going to clarify a few things to you. A. This is a good thing, not the abuses, but the exposing of the abuses. It proves God is not leaving us to die. B. Do not be deceived, Protestants also have these problems but they cannot purify themselves that easily, being divided. C. Celibacy in the priesthood is apostolic tradition, it will never change and it cannot change. D. Celibacy, the gift of celibacy can be aquired by sanctifying grace, meaning that any normal Christian person can aquire it. E. Internal Church governance is quite orthodoxe, problem here being that these are wolves not fallen sheep, lack of repentance. The Christian Church has its substance in Catholicism. Out of all mainline Christian groups, the Catholic Church is the most rigorous, much more than Calvinism. But it also has much more grace at its disposal, having the sacrements, the sacramentals, and the intercession of saints. Giving us giants of holy faith like St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Theresa of Avila, St. Rita, St. Maximilian Koble, etc. *You say fallen people are supposed to look at God's law and say damn that's just, meanwhile Calvinism didn't exist before Calvin.* So there ya go, they saw the Catholic Church which existed since the beginning and indeed said damn that's just. People like St. Augustine who were serial sinners before, being converted by St. Ambrose. Converted entire nations? We converted all of Rome and you insult us for it on every occasion you asshat hypocrite. We also converted millions of indians with Our Lady of Guadeloupe, didn't bother you either. *You and your little sect do not' even constitute 10% of Christianity not even 10%, how about you sit down!* We constitute 52% of Christianity, ABSOLUTE MAJORITY, sit down, Hail Christ the King.
+Destynation Y I'm also a Catholic (former Calvinist Protestant, was very knowledgeable in my Protestant faith before accidentally reading my way into the Church). Just wanted to say real quick: 1) celibacy of the priesthood is a "small t" tradition that can be changed. In fact, there already are married catholic priests. It's actually common in the Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church. But I agree with you that Jesus and Paul both held celibacy higher than marriage for those dedicating their life to the gospel. 2) we have evidence from Congressional testimony, as well as the FBI, that both homosexual groups and Communists infiltrated the Catholic Church to try to change it from the inside. So when someone like Jeff Durbin says "oh look, the Catholic Church has all this evil happening inside of it!" What he's not telling you (or he's unaware) is that almost 90% of the instances are of homosexuals preying on 16 year old boys: homosexuals who DON'T believe in Catholicism, and infiltrated it for the purpose of changing it from the inside, much like homosexualists got into psychology to change the American Psychological Association, etc. Pointing out abuse doesn't show Catholicism is evil, is shows that even the FBI admits we've been infiltrated by those trying to change the church from the inside. But we STILL haven't changed a single dogma. HA!
Destynation The way the Catholic Church converted people was by force. They killed millions. They killed off their own Dominicans with the Jesuits as we know are a large part of the catholic church. As both the White pope and the black pope are Jesuit’s. Jesus says that the only way to heaven is through Him, priests cannot forgive sin as they are also sinners only the sinless Savior can forgive sin.
@@shirleysneddon9573 nice conspiracy theories. If that's true, why are there still hundreds of millions of native Americans in Latin America, while all the natives in Protestant America are nearly all dead? Protestants committed genocide. Catholics converted by evangelism. The church even held Christopher Columbus guilty of tyranny for his mistreatment of natives and blacks. Oh, and we outlawed slavery in 1435. Gotta get out of the conspiracy theories and into real history. The lack of natives in the USA and the fact that Latin America is majority native with very few whites shows which side committed genocide and which side evangelized verbally.
erm....Was the Apostle Peter married? YEP! He loved his wife and fulfilled the commandment of God to have sex with his ONE wife and most likely had children! The endeth the lesson my friend. 1 Cor 15:1-4 God Bless.
I am a former Protestant as well, and I also accidentally read my way into the Church. Renounced witchcraft and encountered God as a Calvinist, then I became Baptist, then Lutheran, then Anglican and finally Roman Catholic. Glad ro see new blood in the Church of Christ. @ Keith P Celibacy is indeed apostolic tradition. You can get into the clergy as a married man but if your spouse dies or leaves you it is strictly forbidden to attempt a new marriage. You're locked in. So the Eastern rites often accept married men into the clergy, but stop them from re-marrying ever. The Roman rite takes it a step further and bans marriage period, that additional step I would imagine is small t tradition. Although I think good priests like Fr. Ripperger would have more to say on the question. As for the infiltration of the Church I totally agree, this is not happening by chance. @Shirley Sneddon That is a fiction, we kill only as a Christian State, and as a Christian State we can only kill heretics for unrepentant dissidance. Apostates are not killed, nor non-Christians. Only those who are baptized and admit their baptismal vows can be burned for failure in religion, general rule. I've never heard of dominican vs jesuit killings, but I have heard of Protestant vs Jesuits killings. If that(s the grudge you're trying to get at. Must I remind you that both Luther and Calvin called for the killing of Catholics directly? *Calvin burned people at the stake, Luther was an antisemite, just saying.* I have no querrel with Jesuits, on the contrary I admire them especially the founder St. Ignatius of Loyola, but what I think is a great shame is that the Jesuit Order has been infiltrated heavily over the years, God will help. Priests can forgive sins, see James 5 for Extreme Unction and for Confession see John 20; 23. *There is a lot to say about this topic, so please consult shamelesspopery dot com, or you can even go to the YT channel LizziesAnswers a Protestant turned Catholic here on YouTub, almost her entire audiance converted with her. It happened a few months ago, check it out.* But don't worry about us, on a doctrinal level, we believe Christ died for our sins and that priests of themselves have no power to forgive sins, it is only because they are priests of Christ that they can absolve us. Also we do not absolutely need them to be forgiven, if we have *perfect sorrow for our sins* we are forgiven automatically. Although confessing remains necessary, to avoid self-righteous loonies that don't realize they're in deep sin.
It must be kept in mind that, at this point, these are accusations. This is very important as far as the scope of the crisis. It is indeed a crisis in the Catholic Church, no doubt. The priests who indeed abuse the children ought to get the justice they deserve and the bishops who did likewise and/or covered up the abuses. Also, the Catholic Church isn't covering up. Certain prelates are involved and they need to be purged from Christ's Church. So, Apologia Studios should look into: what is the legal status of Attorney General reports? What are its limitations? What is the purpose of grand jury? Do A.S. know that many many good conservation men were not accepted in many seminaries which is one of the reasons the traditional priestly orders are growing. Look at the whole picture and you will gain credibility as commentators. Thank you.
The Catholic Church is no more to blame than then God is for the sins of his children. It’s not the Churches fault when a bishop or priest commits a grave sin. It’s the individual in that church. Just like we can’t right off the whole of Christendom for the sins of some of our ancestors. I still hold to my belief, as a Catholic. We understand that men are fallen and will continue to sin. It’s individual sin that brings evil into the world. Not God or the Church.
The Bible strictly forbids the calling of someone else your father, because you have only one Father who is in Heaven . The only ones that follow Catholicism are those who want to continue in Sin and that's why it is accepted . No where does it say to call out hail marys to be forgiven, so why do they allow themselves to be called father and tell people they are forgiven if they say a certain number of hail Mary's? Really ? People you can't see they just made up crap and you people followed it .
Jeff, you quoted Deut. About the Ten Commandments, that we are not to add or take away from them. With humbleness I ask why then have you taken away the true seventh day Sabbath? Thank you
God started the church on a Sunday. It was called Pentecost. Lev. 23 The record of history, from the Resurrection of Christ, Christians have always worshipped on the first day of the week (Sunday) and never on the Sabbath (7th day). Sunday is not a Christian Sabbath or a day of rest, or a holy day to be kept. It is the day God requires all Christians to gather together to worship and eat the Lord's Supper (communion, break bread) Acts 20:7. Christians do not keep the ten commandment law of Moses. This is not to say that Christians are free to steal, murder and commit adultery, just because the 10 commandments have been abolished. No! Christians are under a new law, a better Law, the law of Christ, (Gal 6:2) a better covenant (Heb 8:6-7). The 10 commandment law including the requirement to keep the Sabbath day were abolished at the cross along with all the rest of the law of Moses. God gave a covenant at Mt. Sinai through Moses to the Jews. It is called the first/old covenant/testament. The ten commandments are the foremost visible representation of this first/old covenant was replaced by a new covenant called, among other things "the law of Christ". 100% of the old covenant was abolished. No part of the Old Covenant remains in force.
1. Jesus rose from the dead on the first day of the week (Matt. 28:1-7; Mark 16:2, 9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1). 2. Jesus appeared to the disciples on the first day of the week (John 20:19). 3. Jesus appeared inside the room to the eleven disciples eight days after the first day of the week. The Jewish way of measuring days meant that it was again Sunday (John 20:26). 4. The Holy Spirit came on Pentecost, the first day of the week (Lev. 23:16; Acts 2:1). 5. The first sermon was preached by Peter on the first day of the week (Acts 2:14). 6. Three thousand converts joined the church on the first day of the week (Acts 2:41). 7. The three thousand were baptized on the first day of the week (Acts 2:41). 8. The Christians assembled broke bread on the first day of the week. 9. The Christians also heard a message from Paul on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7). Note: the reference is until midnight which is not the Jewish method of measuring days, but the Roman system. 10. Paul instructed the churches to put aside contributions on the first day of the week (1 Cor. 16:2). 11. Jesus gave the apostle John the vision of Revelation on the first day of the weekRev. 1:10). Even the Seventh Day Adventist Church is well aware that they cannot determine whether they are worshiping on the Sabbath or not.
Yeah, it's funny, a lot of people make that observation. But it is the symbol for the trinity. Consider how the rainbow, which for millenia was a sign of God's covenant to Noah, has been hijacked.
Lol I love when fundies see any symbol and immediately label it pagan. The early church used many symbols and there is nothing pagan or ungodly about them. Gotta love the bible thumping fundies that believe "biblical Christianity" only started a hundred years or so ago.
Hi Apologia, can someone clarify for me why David himself wasn't put to death when he committed adultery and murder? That has even more appropriate context, as that was the nation of Israel for which those commandments were given., so I'm wondering why those judgements weren't carried out? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
In Leviticus 20:10, the Bible records: “The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death.” In 2 Samuel 11:3-4, the Bible declares that David took Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, and committed adultery with her. In chapter 12 of that same book, the prophet Nathan confronted David about his sin, thereby convicting David of his sin and bringing him to repentance. There is, however, no record that David was stoned or put to death because of his adulterous union with Bathsheba. In fact, David was allowed to continue his reign as king of Israel. Skeptics have pointed to this scenario and accused God of being a “respecter of persons,” claiming that He showed David more mercy than the Levitical Law allowed. Certain Bible believers have done the same, claiming that God simply had mercy on David in spite of what was written in the Law. A close look at the actual Law of Moses shows that these conclusions are incorrect. God did not jettison the Law of Moses in order to keep David alive. Mosaic regulations specifically stated that a person could be executed only if there were two or more witnesses to the crime (Deuteronomy 19:15). One witness was insufficient to invoke the death penalty (Deuteronomy 17:6). When we look at the situation between David and Bathsheba, we do not find that even one eyewitness was present to verify the adultery. In fact, it seems that the entire adulterous affair was quite hidden from the general populace. Only with the arrival of Nathan, the prophet, who was sent by God, did the details surface concerning David’s adultery. Nathan, however, could not be a witness against David, since there is no record of his having been at the scene of the crime. And even though he apparently got the information directly from God, that still would not fall under the ordinance mentioned in Deuteronomy 19:15. Furthermore, he still would need one more witness in order for David to be stoned. In truth, if those under the Law of Moses were condemned based on whether or not God knew of their crimes, then far more deaths would have occurred, since “the eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good” (Proverbs 15:3). We find, then, that the Mosaic Law was not ignored in David’s case; nor is this an instance of God showing partiality. Yet, even if there had been witnesses, and the Israelites had not properly followed the judicial procedures as set forth in the Law of Moses, it would not have been God’s fault, but the fault of the Israelites who failed to obey God’s commandments. www.apologeticspress.org/apcontent.aspx?category=6&article=652
@@fayelewis5476 Hi Faye, thank you for the reply. I see the reasoning here, but I'm wondering how we can say that there weren't 2 witnesses here? (I'm deeply trying to reason this out, sincerely.) David and Bathsheba themselves were both witnesses. Moreover, once David repented, he was testifying against himself. Does God grant mercy to the Mosaic Law based on technicality? That seems contrary to His nature; however, I *do* know that God took the life of their first *innocent* son as consequence. I'm not saying we should start sacrificing children (for heavens sake!)... I am concerned, however, as to what the criteria is for abdicating certain judgements under the Mosaic Law as this situation with David deeply confuses me! As I said, the 2 witnesses are there and present if we aren't playing around with the letter of the law, but are faithfully executing it according to the spirit. Does anyone else have another explanation? Thanks.
@J Hurd Sure, but why would God allow him to continue to reign as king, if he was supposed to be "dealt with"? I am still unsure why this was allowed. Moreover, under what circumstances are people to be "sentenced according to the law" after reaching repentance, and under what circumstances are they not? I am so unclear on this. Sincerely, I want my witness to be sure when I go to people about the gospel. If anyone from Apologia would clear this up, ...I know you are all busy, but I greatly respect you all and value your resources for witnessing (I am still learning things, though). Thanks.
God pardoned David, that was His prerogative. Our duty is to obey His Law. Also, do not miss a central aspect of the story, it cost David the life of his son. the death penalty was not evaded .
@@hushai5154 Why didn't Paul have the son that slept with his father's wife--as described and addressed in both letters to the Corinthians--put to death? His duty should have been to the law then also (Leviticus 20:10), but in fact, we see Paul restore him in the 2nd letter. Furthermore, it does not appear that anyone reported him to the authorities. When is it appropriate to apply the law, ancient or modern, and when not? Did all of those that committed crimes in Israel, under sin, once saved, turn themselves over to the Roman or Jewish authorities to be condemned? I am not asking for lawlessness, but I would like to know under which situations and circumstances to apply the law and under which not, and what biblical verses support that deliniation? Moreover, when is God's justice on the cross not enough for those here on Earth that have come to him? (i.e. Pre-salvation) Or are we just talking about Hebrews 10:26 moments, instead? Or both? Please provide biblical justification for your position and under these contexts. Thanks. I eagerly await to review them. Sincerely
Been watching Jeff’s vids on Debates with Planned Parenthood and thought he was kinda smart until I heard this. Smh. Complete blasphem and heresy. Mathew 16:18 “Peter, and on this rock I build my church.” . That’s all I have to say. If you “Love” Jesus so much how can you talk bad about his kingdom. You LOVE the King but don’t love his kingdom (his church.) Christ didn’t just come to die, he came to live and build. Christ the builder built the Catholic Church. Also in Samual 24:6 “ "Far be it from me because of the LORD that I should do this thing to my lord, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, since he is the LORD'S anointed." Yes some of these priests are bad, But as you have said in plenty of your videos we are born with Original Sin and we all sin because we all man and we are non-perfect. Also, who put together the Bible? Didn’t Paul and Peter and John and Luke also celebrate the Eucharist? So for someone to joke about transubstantiation when they believe in Jesus and the last supper this is all blasphemy. And blasphemy my friend is also call to justice for. (Death)
Once again catholics demonstrates they have absolutely no idea what the Church is. But hey why dont you explain why its okay to pray to Mary despite 1 Timothy 2:5 saying there is but one mediator (and it aint Mary). After all we're the ones distorting the bible so this should be easy to explain.
Being born and raised catholic, Peter was not catholic. And, yes, upon this rock I will build my church. Writings concerning Christ were only written about 30 some years after his death. Remember catholics are just human beings. No priest is GOD, period!
The Catholic Church was the only Christian Church for 1500 years. When the Israelites worshipped a false idol in Exodus… God shut down that idolatry pretty quickly. Why hasn’t he done the same to us Catholics if we are guilty of that?
I want you to know this It is absolutely not servitude to a church and There’s no one true church the church is those who placed their faith Jesus Christ death and resurrection for the payment for our sins and the church is walking breathing individuals who has have the Holy Spirit indwelling our hearts and souls we’re the walking and breathing temple of God.
That's not true. First it was called Western Christianity, and the Orthodox Christian church is a result of them splitting from the Western Christianity due to papal authority. Regardless, denominations can't save you. Only Christ can save you. There are saved and unsaved people in each denomination. Being Catholic doesn't save you, being Orthodox doesn't save you, being Baptist doesn't save you. Christ alone saves us.
The amount of misinformation you y’all spread about the Catholic faith is absolutely atrocious. You’re leading so many astray with the lies that you spread.
The catholic church has done a lot of bad.. believe it when we say we "boo" just as loud as any other person would. We dont agree with the bad; just wanted to get that clear. Simple analogy: If a pastor does something wrong, lets say sexually abuse a girl within his community.. ¿will that condemened his whole belief? No, you will still believe Jesus is God. It is a sick action non the less and God will do his justice, whatever that will be. Im just going to say you have a misconception of what being a catholic is.. just as you have solid defenses for christianity (which i love), you can find answers for catholicism. We are all here to learn and still have our whole lives ahead of us to do so.
The Council of Trent did not condemn the Gospel of Jesus Christ but rather upheld it. The Council condemned the false teaching of Martin Luther- justification by faith alone (sola fide) and sola scriptura. Just a historical footnote.
yes, which is why Roman Catholicism is not the Church that Christ founded. Denying salvation through faith ALONE is denying the gospel. Adding sacraments, good works, the suffering of the saints, the good works of Mary, etc, is a blasphemy!
Matthew 16: 18-19. The Catholic Church IS the church which Jesus founded. This is biblically true and historically true. The evidence speaks for itself. Martin Luther invented "another gospel" by teaching justification by faith alone and by appealing to scripture alone for his final authority. Later he was excommunicated from the Church and died in disgrace outside of holy communion. Before his death, Luther wrote a book where he called for the violent murders of both the pope and all cardinals. And then he died.
Martin Luther wrongly interpreted the meaning of St. Paul's teaching in Romans and Galatians. In his German translation of Romans 3: 28 he "inserted" the word "alone" into the text even though it did not appear in the original Greek. Luther was an abused child when he was a little. He developed a profound distrust of "authority" at a young age. He saw God as a "tyrant" and a bully. Someone he could never please. Actually, it was his earthly father Hans Luther who was the source for this distorted view of God. As a young man he entered the seminary to seek for peace with God. He did many penances out of fear of God whom he saw as cruel and judgmental. He attributed these feelings to the Catholic Church, even though the Church did not teach such a view of God. The Church always taught that God is a God of Love who desires to save sinners and takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Luther distorted the teaching of St. Paul, a Catholic apostle of Christ, to suit his own theology. However, he started to have problems with other books like James, Hebrews, Revelation, and more which he wanted removed from the sacred canon of scripture. If scripture did not agree with Luther's theology, then scripture had to edited accordingly.... rather than Luther's warped theology being revised. The Catholic Church in the 16th century (like today) was in great need of reform. Sadly, Luther never delivered any reform. He ended up rebelling against apostolic authority instituted by Christ and then leaving to start his own church. Other Protestants followed suit and later started their churches too. A Pandora's Box had been opened!
4 verses later Jesus responded to Peter "Get behind me, Satan! you are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on things of GOD, but on things of MAN."
That is indeed true. Simon Peter would also go on to deny the Lord three times after Jesus' arrest in the Garden (although he promised him during his ministry that he would die with him). All the apostle eventually fled on that evening after Judas (one of the hand picked twelve by Jesus) betrayed Him. Not a single one of the apostles (including most of all Saul of Tarsus later) was perfect. All of them were tempted and all of them were flawed. Nothing has changed in that regard over the past 2000 years either. Nevertheless, Jesus still told Simon in Matthew 16: 18-19 "You are Peter and upon THIS rock I will build my Church...." Jesus changed his name for a purpose. When Peter accepted the name change, he accepted the office that went with it. But he didn't always live up to it then. Later on Peter would suffer martyrdom upside down on a Roman cross in Rome.
Protestants way better than Catholicism. No questions asked. I have yet to see/hear this man discourse with a significant Catholic apologist. None. Its easy to lay back behind a camera … makes absurd claims... yet never go toe to toe.. .face to face with a significant Catholic apologist.
if it wasn't for the Catholic Church you would never no Christ God help you understand His true church the Catholic Church, please look at your on sins and stop Judging others and pray for sinners 🙏
Only problem is that more sex abuse exists within Protestant churches than all of the Catholic Church. That information is provided by insurance companies responding to claims made to them. Look it up.
I have heard the wearing the cross is idolatry and in violation of the 2nd commandment. I see you are wearing the cross in this video Pastor.. can you explain?
This is just what I've read before so to be clear I don't know 100%. Wearing the cross is just a constant reminder or conversation starter. The crucifix on the other hand has a image of Christ on it. So that's the difference in a nutshell
@@Joseph-fl1ry KIngs 6:23 The workers made two statues of Cherub angels with wings. They made the statues from olive wood and put them in the Most Holy Place. Each angel was 10 cubits tall. Numbers 21:9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. Having an image of Christ could never be idoltry. Because if it's so you condemned the nation of Isreal, you condemned Moses who was following God's instruction. Defination of Graven Image a carved idol or representation of a god used as an object of worship. Defination of Idol an image or representation of a god used as an object of worship. Wearing an image or ownung an image does not make it an idol. Giving it divine worship means it's an idol' If an image carved or any image is an idol you need to get rid of all your family pictures at your house and stay off the internet because in like manner to what the people had at their age (painting, drawings, carvings etc) we now have internet that does the same thing. It is absolute rubbish to rid these items without getting rid of all images that depict Jesus or any heavenly host or any religious or non religous images on the internet. We shpould jst be reading words
The bible tells us that if our desire for a woman causes us to Sin then marry but it is better not to marry because it takes your focus off the Father .
And many more Protestant christians refuse. See the names below, and also Jenny Weaver, John Ramirez and many others warning about the demonic agenda of halloween. We in our house reject it. But like Mike Winger says, we should use it as an opportunity to teach Jesus to the Godless.
Looks like the cross between an owl and a fallen angel, but is really a microphone on top. Don't know use you imagination. God can still use these people for His kingdom and I've heard Jeff before. He is a quick thinker and slow to speak which is who God is looking for to spread His message. My prayers go out to him in his endeavors.
Jeff is for upholding Gods justice in pressing for severe punishment for those who abuse minors EVEN IF CLERGY, how is that worldly ? Au contraire, its God honoring to come to the defense of innocents and fatherless. The false doctrine of celibacy, which was designed to keep wealth within the Catholic church (priests who have 0% family ties), along with the lurid nastiness of 'secret confession, to a mere man' and you have an explosion of Ungodliness ready to go off. These 2 perversions of Scripture are just 2 of the many pet Catholic doctrines that are hastening its inevitable demise, to be replaced by Covenentally Faithful Biblical Churches, this is what Gods Word promises. "He (Christ) shall sit as a refiner of silver, purging away all Israel's dross (impuritues)" - if you're hearing Gods voice His Holy Spirit & searching His Word friends - Bless you ! All of heavens power is there to help you !
Pastor Jeff, I am having difficulty over the issue of supporting the death penalty for cases of rape, molestation, and murder. I have spoken with other people who have said that the death penalty for rapists, murderers, and child molesters is too extreme because there is a small number of men who are not guilty of such a crime that are in jail today. They said the percentage of men who are guilty is about 90-96%, and they felt it was bad to even have the death penalty because of the 4% who would be innocent and the fact that the accuracy rate of the evidence is only 95-96%. How do we respond to this?
Jeff is an extremists. This is an extremists view point quoting OT Law instead of looking at the life of Jesus. Maybe Jeff could spend some time talking about the empathy and forgiveness Jesus showed. WWJD do we really think Jesus would say put the priests to death? Maybe? Doesn’t seem like his character or what he taught.
If I were not a Catholic, and were looking for the true Church in the world today, I would look for the one Church which did not get along well with the world; in other words, I would look for the Church which the world hated. My reason for doing this would be, that if Christ is in any one of the churches of the world today, He must still be hated as He was when He was on earth in the flesh. If you would find Christ today, then find the Church that does not get along with the world. Look for the Church that is hated by the world as Christ was hated by the world. Look for the Church that is accused of being behind the times, as our Lord was accused of being ignorant and never having learned. Look for the Church which men sneer at as socially inferior, as they sneered at Our Lord because He came from Nazareth. Look for the Church which is accused of having a devil, as Our Lord was accused of being possessed by Beelzebub, the Prince of Devils. Look for the Church which, in seasons of bigotry, men say must be destroyed in the name of God as men crucified Christ and thought they had done a service to God. Look for the Church which the world rejects because it claims it is infallible, as Pilate rejected Christ because He called Himself the Truth. Look for the Church which is rejected by the world as Our Lord was rejected by men. Look for the Church which amid the confusions of conflicting opinions, its members love as they love Christ, and respect its Voice as the very voice of its Founder, and the suspicion will grow, that if the Church is unpopular with the spirit of the world, then it is unworldly, and if it is unworldly it is other worldly. since it is other-worldly, it is infinitely loved and infinitely hated as was Christ Himself. But only that which is Divine can be infinitely hated and infinitely loved. Therefore the Church is Divine. - Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
@MyTwoCents But where in the Bible does it say that Bible is the final authority? Nowhere. So you are believing in something that not even Scripture conforms to. On the other hand Scripture does say that the Church is the foundation and bulwark of truth (1 Timothy 3:15). It also says that the teaching authority was given to the Apostles, the first Bishops of Christianity (Mathew 28:19) and this same authority was given to their successors. BTW who told you that the books in Bible was indeed Word of God?
In a church, the devil is working hard to distract us and tempt us to sin. At a sinful place, such as a bar and/or club, the devil doesn't have to do anything! Because we're already doing the devil's work! So you see, the devil attacks good, and truth, and manipulates it and turns it into evil Don't be blind Jeff. Catholicism is the way. Jesus is the way the truth and the light.
I want you to know the this The Catholic Church and The Roman Catholic Church is not the one true church and it is absolutely not servitude to a church and There’s no one true church the church is those who placed their faith Jesus Christ death and resurrection for the payment for our sins and the church is walking breathing individuals who has have the Holy Spirit indwelling our hearts and souls we’re the walking and breathing temple of God.
Brother Steve you voice a concern that is real. My impression is that the level of these crimes rises to such a height AND is so pervasive within Catholicism (sadly, but rarer within Evangelical churches too) that it demands the civil magistrates attention. Consider that the Mormons in Utah Territory were forced to abandon plural marriage BEFORE statehood was granted. I'm a total supporter of sphere sovereignty and a Free Church but there are limits and the Mormon example of Utah proves it. As I recall the logic went that all the 49 states legally support Bible derived notions of "One Man + One Woman = Married Family Unit, per Gods design & cultural standard" - and that Mormon objections that Plural (polygamy) marriage was their religious belief thus protected under 1st Amendment grounds. But the other states would be legally forced to accept Utahs Plural marriage contracts, and accept polygamous "marriages " too. The result ? The Mormon church though dominant in Utah Territory, changed its doctrine to cease Plural marriage / Polygamy, in order to gain statehood approval for Utah ! Why mention this ? Maybe there is a Constitutional lawful way for the states to put pressure on the Catholic church to drop their ridiculous unbiblical and eventually evil practices that virtually guarantee predators THRIVE within Catholicism ? I'm just "thinking out loud" here, your forthright question brought this to the surface ! God bless you as you serve Him ! David in Texas
Jesus Christ did not start the Roman Catholic church. The church in Jerusalem was not started until 10 days after Christ went back to heaven. The Catholic church did not start until 300 years after that. Rome was busy throwing Christians to the lions before then. Remember that? Peter was not the leader. Nowhere in Scripture did Jesus, the apostles, or any other New Testament writer set forth the idea of “apostolic succession.” Further, neither is Peter presented as “supreme” over the other apostles. The apostle Paul, in fact, rebukes Peter when Peter was leading others astray (Galatians 2:11-14). Yes, the apostle Peter had a prominent role. Yes, perhaps the apostle Peter was the leader of the apostles (although the book of Acts records the apostle Paul and Jesus’ brother James as also having prominent leadership roles). Whatever the case, Peter was not the “commander” or supreme authority over the other apostles. Peter never said he was the pope. or the bishop, etc. I Peter 1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ:............. II Peter 1 Simeon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ:
Catholicism hijacked Christianity. Catholicism is pagan through and through. Christians were being fed to the lions long before Catholicism ever came about.
The Catholics are a much better example of the true teachings of Christ than the people in the protestant christian and christian/christian, if you will, churches.
@BoyTuMan One reason is that the good Catholics don't put out anti-Mormon videos like the people on the above video do. The people on the above video have numerous anti-Mormon videos.
So sad, we are not living in the dark ages, everyone has access to God's Word. Anyone who reads the Bible has access to God's truth. The catholic church does not apply God's Word in anyway. If you are a member of the catholic church, you have obviously never read the Bible, or you are too gutless to get up and leave this error ridden evil church, or you are possessed by satan. There are no excuses for sticking with these unclean heathens. As we move into end times you are going to see the relationship between the catholic church and satans realm
@Loonytoones85When does the opportunity to repent end? Are there only a certain amount of chances? Should we expect the "World" to live like Christ? Does God expect believers to treat non-believers in the same way regarding discipline? If the rapist is a believer, what significance is Mathew 5:38-48 or the event of the adulterous woman being condemned by the leaders of the law and Jesus indicated that he who is without sin may cast the first stone. Let alone, it was Christ blood that was shed for the World. Discipline is absolutely necessary in the Church but the goal of discipline is to lead the individual back to Christ, not condemn them to Hell. And if it is God's standard we are living by, the Church would have very few followers because we have all been angry with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and therefore commit murder, should we be executed for our sin? This isn't meant to be a counterpoint to the comment you left, but just questions I have and would like clarity to. Jeff seems extremely knowledgeable, but I can't make sense of this point with what scriptures seem to teach.
'if you had the gift of celebacy then you wouldnt have any sexual desires'. That is a ridiculous, false and unbiblical statement. We all struggle against the flesh.

Going to a Protestant to find out what Catholics teach is like going to an atheist to find out what a Christian believes.
@Tyson Guess
I totally agree.

I hear you bro...we need to stand up for mother church, pray, and fast more than ever.
Repent and turn from the Catholic church. It is pure evil!!

I can still honestly say that I'm proud of being a Roman Catholic Christian & stand firm on my beliefs until the day I die.

Protestantism is a result of Martin Luther not having the gift of celibacy.
Martin Luther fell in love.and wanted to marry.
Protestantism is just as damnable as Catholicism just so you know.

It wasn’t the Catholic Church no matter WHAT you think. Use your brain. Research.
I believe James White addressed this on his podcast/ stream (Alpha & Omega Ministries, check out the TH-cam channel).
The short version is this:
The canon is NOT a creation of the church.

"Wherever the bishop appears, there let the people be; as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." [24]
Church Fathers like Ignatius of Antioch, Irenaeus, Tertullian and Cyprian held to the view that the Christian Church was a visible entity, not an invisible body of believers

John 14:14, "if ask Me anything in My name, I will do it."
10 - If you did, would you be forgiven of all your sins?
9 - Yes
10 - Yes, so long as they were venial or we were resolve to return to a path of righteousness and humble ourselves in confession as soon as we are able if they were mortal.
17 - No
18 - I can only assume your talking about how Catholics believe salvation occurs. If so it is as follows: We believe that we are saved by grace, justified by faith, and that that faith is substantiated and supported by works.
19 - We're all fallen sinners, but we try our best
20 - The sacraments and keeping in good Christian conduct fall under the "works" part mentioned in 18, in which works substantiate a living faith.
The true, original church mentioned in the book of Acts and the epistles never did such wicked crimes.
Neither did they murder people who did not agree with them.

1209 - The Albigensian Crusades in southern France. Roman Catholic crusaders slaughter approximately 20,000 citizens of Beziers, France on July 22, 1209. Both Albigensian Christians and Catholics were slain. By the time the Roman Catholic armies finished their crusade, almost the entire population of southern France (mostly Albigensian Christians) has been exterminated (reference Link 1 and Link 2).
1236 - Roman Catholic crusaders slaughter Jews in the Anjou and Poitou regions of western France in a severe wave of persecution (reference Link 1 and Link 2).
1481 - - At the direction of the Roman Catholic inquisitors, authorities torture, burn and slaughter tens, even hundreds of thousands of people during the Spanish Inquisition (Jean Antoine Llorentine, History of the Inquistion; as cited in R.W. Thompson, The Papacy and the Civil Power (New York, 1876); as cited in Dave Hunt, A Woman Rides the Beast).
1540 - 1570 - Roman Catholic armies butcher at least 900,000 Waldensian Christians of all ages during this 30-year period (source: Halley's Bible Handbook).
1553 - 1558 - Roman Catholic Queen Mary I of England (aka bloody Mary) attempts to bring England back under the yoke of papal tyranny. During her reign, nearly 300 men and woman are burned to death at the sake. Her victims include bishops, scholars, and other Protestant leaders (Link).
1572 - St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre. French Roman Catholic soldiers begin killing Protestants in Paris on the night of August 24, 1572. The soldiers kill at least 10,000 Protestants during the first three days. At least 8000 more Protestants are killed as the slaughter spreads to the countryside (Link).
1618 - 1648 - The Thirty Years War. This bloody, religious war is planned, instigated, and orchestrated by the Roman Catholic Jesuit order and its agents in an attempt to exterminate all the Protestants in Europe. Many countries in central Europe lose up to half their population (see Cushing B. Hassell, History of the Church of God, Chapter XVII).
1641 - 1649 - Eight years of Jesuit-instigated Roman Catholic butchery of Irish Protestants claims the lives of hundreds of thousands of Protestants (see Cushing B. Hassell, History of the Church of God, Chapter XVII).
1685 - French Roman Catholic soldiers slaughter approximately 500,000 French Protestant Huguenots on the orders of Roman Catholic King Louis 14 of France.
1941 - 1945 - The Roman Catholic Ustashi in Yugoslavia butchered Hundreds of thousands of Yugoslav citizens, Serbs, Jews and Roma. And Hundreds of thousands were forced to convert to Catholicism. (link, link, link)
1949 - 1953 - With the support from the Columbian government, the Roman Catholic Church had 60,000 Protestants and non-Catholics shot, drowned and emasculated. Pope Pius XII awarded the Columbian President with one of the highest awards the church can give.

The roman church claims to be "infallibly led by the Holy Spirit", yet they have so many heresies in their evil teachings, tell me please, do you know what the Holy Bible (God's Word) says about blasphemies against the Holy Spirit?
Darso M that it is the only unforgivable sin. However, we don’t have any evil teachings or heresies, so the point is kind of invalid
Except your idea of Church makes no sense as every Christian believed in a different Jesus, but the Catholics are United.

I hate to disagree with your comment, but I know from my own experience that the Catholic Church teachings are based on man made doctrine. @Gripping For Jesus78 Mary did not sin. If she did then Jesus couldn't have been holy.

Jeff whats your op[inion on the secrets of Fatima and Our Lady's plea for us all to say the rosary?
Question: "Are apparitions of Mary, such as Lady Fatima, true messages from God?"
Answer: In Catholic tradition, there are many reported occurrences of Mary, angels, and/or saints appearing and delivering a message from God.
The fact that its timing coincided with what had been told to the shepherd children three months earlier would seem to tie this event with the apparitions they had been seeing over the previous months, first of the angel and later of the "Lady of Fatima."
When one compares the message of Fatima to what the Bible teaches, it is evident that the message of Fatima combines some biblical truth with several unbiblical practices and teachings. The following paragraphs are quoted directly from a website dedicated to the "Lady of Fatima," www.fatima.org. Specific words or sentences are underlined to indicate them to be unbiblical (not taught by the Bible), or anti-biblical (contradictory to the Bible). Following the lengthy quotations, more information will be given with specific reasons for classifying these apparitions as "lying wonders." Here then is a quoted summary of the overall message given by the Lady of Fatima:
The Message of Lady Fatima in General
"The general Message of Fatima is not complicated.
Our Lady sadly pleaded: 'Do not offend the Lord our God any more, for He is already too much offended!'
"The children were also told to pray and sacrifice themselves for sinners, in order to save them from hell. The children were briefly shown a vision of hell, after which Our Lady told them: 'You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.'
"Our Lady indicated to us the specific root of all the troubles in the world, the one that causes world wars and such terrible suffering: sin.
The Message of Fatima, to individual souls, is summarized in these things."
On the same website, there is recorded an interview between Sister Lucy (the 10-year-old shepherd girl who was among the three children who saw the apparitions in 1917) and a Father Fuentes. The interview took place in 1957. In this interview focusing on Fatima and its message, Sister Lucy says the following:
"Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin, and the devil knows what it is that most offends God, and which in a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls.
"Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Most Holy Mother, consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and as the sure door of entering Heaven."
www.gotquestions.org/lady-fatima.html
Concerning prayer, we have the repeated example of two things in Scripture:
a) Prayer is made to God alone (2 Corinthians 13:7; Romans 10:1; 15:30; Acts 12:5; Acts 10:2; Acts 8:24; Acts 1:24; Zechariah 8:21-22; Jonah 2:7; 4:2, etc.)
b) Requests for prayer are made only to the living (1 Thessalonians 5:25; 2 Thessalonians 3:1; Hebrews 13:18, etc.)
In addition, nowhere is it taught that Mary is all-seeing, all-hearing, and omniscient (or nearly so), as she would have to be to hear and respond to the multitude of prayers that are directed toward her from the many Catholics who pray to her simultaneously around the world.
If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20).
uestion: "Is praying the rosary scriptural?"
Answer: Praying the rosary is promoted within the Catholic Church as a means of strengthening one’s faith, resisting evil, growing spiritually, and generally benefiting society. While some of the prayer of the rosary is scriptural, the whole second half of the “Hail Mary” and portions of the “Hail, Holy Queen” are blatantly unbiblical. While the first part of the Hail Mary is almost a direct quotation from Luke 1:28, there is no scriptural basis for (1) praying to Mary, (2) addressing her as “holy,” or (3) calling her “our life” and “our hope.”
Praying the rosary involves giving attributes to Mary that the Bible never gives her.

You strike me as a Christian of good conscience. Therefore, out of your concern for the souls of Catholics, would you consider a public debate with a keepable catholic apologist? Trent Horn? Tim Staples? Both have debated your hero James White.
Jason Miller How did you feel about the debates between White and Horn? How about White and Staples?

6 As for those who were HELD IN HIGH ESTEEM-whatever they were MAKES NO DIFFERENCE to me; God does not show favoritism-they added NOTHING to my message. 7 On the CONTRARY, THEY RECOGNISED that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the UNCIRCUMCISED
JUST AS Peter had been to the CIRCUMCISED
There you go, Roman Catholicism dismantled. But there is more:
8 For God, who was at work in Peter as AN APOSTLE to the CIRCUMCISED, was also at work in ME as an APOSTLE to the Gentiles.

Protestant theology on salvation is borrowed from the Catholic Church!
Don’t get fooled. The Devil is working very hard.
*You say fallen people are supposed to look at God's law and say damn that's just, meanwhile Calvinism didn't exist before Calvin.*
So there ya go, they saw the Catholic Church which existed since the beginning and indeed said damn that's just.
*You and your little sect do not' even constitute 10% of Christianity not even 10%, how about you sit down!*
We constitute 52% of Christianity, ABSOLUTE MAJORITY, sit down, Hail Christ the King.
+Destynation Y I'm also a Catholic (former Calvinist Protestant, was very knowledgeable in my Protestant faith before accidentally reading my way into the Church). Just wanted to say real quick:
1) celibacy of the priesthood is a "small t" tradition that can be changed.

I am a former Protestant as well, and I also accidentally read my way into the Church.
Renounced witchcraft and encountered God as a Calvinist, then I became Baptist, then Lutheran, then Anglican and finally Roman Catholic.
Glad ro see new blood in the Church of Christ.
@ Keith P
Celibacy is indeed apostolic tradition.
@Shirley Sneddon
That is a fiction, we kill only as a Christian State, and as a Christian State we can only kill heretics for unrepentant dissidance.
*Calvin burned people at the stake, Luther was an antisemite, just saying.*
I have no querrel with Jesuits, on the contrary I admire them especially the founder St.
It happened a few months ago, check it out.*
But don't worry about us, on a doctrinal level, we believe Christ died for our sins and that priests of themselves have no power to forgive sins, it is only because they are priests of Christ that they can absolve us.
Also we do not absolutely need them to be forgiven,
if we have *perfect sorrow for our sins* we are forgiven automatically. Although confessing remains necessary, to avoid self-righteous loonies that don't realize they're in deep sin.
The religion 2018 years ago is pretty much the same now
I love how he thinks modern Christian hippies like himself are the true Church when Christians like him didn't exist for 1,900 years of Christianity.
They need to close the Catholic Church down!!
Thank you.
Cool, do small hats next.
Talk about the Mormon Bishop who was excommunicated yesterday for standing up against sexual questions with children!
Amen!!!
So my kids cant call me father?
Christina Wellnitz but you call your biological father father right 😂😂
Jeff, you quoted Deut. About the Ten Commandments, that we are not to add or take away from them. With humbleness I ask why then have you taken away the true seventh day Sabbath? Thank you
Loonytoones85 - hello, May I suggest a site “ Www.sabbathtruth.com”,
May I suggest reading what Ellen White taught and comparing it with Scripture?
It isn't.
God started the church on a Sunday. It was called Pentecost. Lev. 23
The record of history, from the Resurrection of Christ, Christians have always worshipped on the first day of the week (Sunday) and never on the Sabbath (7th day).
The Jewish way of measuring days meant that it was again Sunday
(John 20:26).
10. Paul instructed the churches to put aside contributions on the first day of the week
(1 Cor. 16:2).
11. Jesus gave the apostle John the vision of Revelation on the first day of the weekRev. 1:10).
Even the Seventh Day Adventist Church is well aware that they cannot determine whether they are worshiping on the Sabbath or not.
Preaching about Bible and displaying huge celtic pagan symbol in the background...
SOME CATHOLICS ARE SAYING THIS?! No, the Catholic Church is even angrier about this then any Protestant denomination!
Forced celibacy doesn't work
It’s not forced if you decide to become a priest and consequently accept celibacy.

@@fayelewis5476 Hi Faye, thank you for the reply. I see the reasoning here, but I'm wondering how we can say that there weren't 2 witnesses here? (I'm deeply trying to reason this out, sincerely.)
David and Bathsheba themselves were both witnesses.
Once again catholics demonstrates they have absolutely no idea what the Church is. But hey why dont you explain why its okay to pray to Mary despite 1 Timothy 2:5 saying there is but one mediator (and it aint Mary). After all we're the ones distorting the bible so this should be easy to explain.
Daniel Omitted is it wrong to ask friends to pray for you?
@@henkaistudio The history of Christianity disagrees with you....
I love that Jeff calls for the deaths of these priests while having a pro-life sign on the wall.

Great chat brothers, keep up the great work, the Lord will bless you all abundantly. Amen.
Pastors are no different to Catholic priests.
Protestants way better than Catholicism. No questions asked.

3 out of 4 American pastors are child molesters.
mal sen There is no evidence for that.
That's a lie. Pastors do not claim to forgive sins and they don't engage in strange altar rituals such as Transubstantiation.
I have yet to see/hear this man discourse with a significant Catholic apologist. None. Its easy to lay back behind a camera … makes absurd claims... yet never go toe to toe.. .face to face with a significant Catholic apologist.
@Rafal OmnomIs that an answer ? or just an excuse ?
@El Rico AMEN!!! Protestant Pastors are to cowardly to face a knowledgeable Catholic who's doctrine comes directly from Christ.
if it wasn't for the Catholic Church you would never no Christ God help you understand His true church the Catholic Church, please look at your on sins and stop Judging others and pray for sinners 🙏
Why doesn’t Jeff debate a Catholic?
Jeff should definitely debate a Catholic.
Only problem is that more sex abuse exists within Protestant churches than all of the Catholic Church. That information is provided by insurance companies responding to claims made to them. Look it up.
Thank you!
What are your thoughts on Mark Taylor the "firefighter prophet"..can you please respond
@@Joseph-fl1ry
KIngs 6:23
The workers made two statues of Cherub angels with wings. They made the statues from olive wood and put them in the Most Holy Place. Each angel was 10 cubits tall.
Numbers 21:9
So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.
Having an image of Christ could never be idoltry. Because if it's so you condemned the nation of Isreal, you condemned Moses who was following God's instruction.
Defination of Graven Image
a carved idol or representation of a god used as an object of worship.
Defination of Idol
an image or representation of a god used as an object of worship.
Wearing an image or ownung an image does not make it an idol. Giving it divine worship means it's an idol'
If an image carved or any image is an idol you need to get rid of all your family pictures at your house and stay off the internet because in like manner to what the people had at their age (painting, drawings, carvings etc) we now have internet that does the same thing.
Here's a topic for discussion, many Christians celebrate Halloween unfortunately, I'd be interested in what Jeff says about this. Thank you!
Look up InspiringPhilosophy or Mike Winger on those topics.
And many more Protestant christians refuse. See the names below, and also Jenny Weaver, John Ramirez and many others warning about the demonic agenda of halloween. We in our house reject it. But like Mike Winger says, we should use it as an opportunity to teach Jesus to the Godless.
I like your ministry but what's up with the symbol in the background. It's very distracting. Can someone please explain?
Looks like the cross between an owl and a fallen angel, but is really a microphone on top. Don't know use you imagination. God can still use these people for His kingdom and I've heard Jeff before. He is a quick thinker and slow to speak which is who God is looking for to spread His message. My prayers go out to him in his endeavors.
Why the fuck arent they paying tax!!!
Why don't you debate Catholic apologists Jimmy Akin, Trent Horn, or Patrick Madrid??
What if they ask for forgiveness?? Do they still deserve the death penalty?
Worked with a lady who still considers herself catholic but left after the last sex scandal years ago.
Some of the things he(Jeff Durbin) says in the this video is very Unchristian and very worldly take on this issue.
The Ravi Zacharias scandal from a Protestant perspective is deeply troubling.
it's a scandal indeed, not all protestants have the same view.
Wait we can trust the civil majestry but not the Catholic majestry??
If I were not a Catholic, and were looking for the true Church in the world today, I would look for the one Church which did not get along well with the world; in other words,
I would look for the Church which the world hated. My reason for doing this would
be, that if Christ is in any one of the churches of the world today, He must
still be hated as He was when He was on earth in the flesh. If you would find
Christ today, then find the Church that does not get along with the world.
Look for the Church that is hated by the world as Christ was hated by the world.
Look for the Church that is accused of being behind the times, as our Lord was
accused of being ignorant and never having learned.
Look for the Church which men sneer at as socially inferior, as they sneered at Our Lord because He came from Nazareth.
Look for the Church which is accused of having a devil, as Our
Lord was accused of being possessed by Beelzebub, the Prince of Devils.
Look for the Church which, in seasons of bigotry, men say must be destroyed in the
name of God as men crucified Christ and thought they had done a service to God.
Look for the Church which the world rejects because it claims it is infallible,
as Pilate rejected Christ because He called Himself the Truth.
Look for the Church which is rejected by the world as Our Lord was rejected by men.
Look for the Church which amid the confusions of conflicting opinions, its members love as they love Christ, and respect its Voice as the very voice of its Founder, and
the suspicion will grow, that if the Church is unpopular with the spirit of the
world, then it is unworldly, and if it is unworldly it is other worldly. since
it is other-worldly, it is infinitely loved and infinitely hated as was Christ
Himself.
But only that which is Divine can be infinitely hated and infinitely
loved. Therefore the Church is Divine. - Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
Can anyone here prove the doctrine of 'Sola Scriptura' using verses from the Bible only?
@MyTwoCents
But where in the Bible does it say that Bible is the final authority?
So you see, the devil attacks good, and truth, and manipulates it and turns it into evil
Don't be blind Jeff.
So what is the true church if not the catholic church?
The Catholic Church is the true church because the Catholic Church was the only church founded by jesus christ himself.
Why do they keep these guys in the institution? WHY???
God bless you for sticking to the word. But, what if these laws that bring justice does unbiblical things ?

We became lovers of ourselves.
Jeff have you seen the channel LizziesAnswers ? She needs some truth brother. And I think you would have a great conversation with her.
The word of God is truth. Jesus Christ is the truth.
Way better than Catholicism.
Faye Lewis But Jesus founded the Universal Church!!
The Catholic Church is the one true church of Jesus Christ.
Yes catholic means "universal" not Roman.
The Catholics are a much better example of the true teachings of Christ than the people in the protestant christian and christian/christian, if you will, churches.
Should be obvious.
Didn't take me twelve hours to respond, just got off work.
I must be right on the money, somebody upvoted my comment.
@BoyTuMan One reason is that the good Catholics don't put out anti-Mormon videos like the people on the above video do. The people on the above video have numerous anti-Mormon videos.
Both based on pedophilia you say eh. You all really should think a little further before commenting.
Is Jesus blood not sufficient to cover the sins of the rapist?
Evidently not. Jeff seems to think we should execute priests. Unlawfully to up hold the LAW? Seems like he has some crazy views?
There is only one holy Catholic Church and how many denominations of protestant churches are there right now??? Which one is the right one?
Sorry Jeff your statistic are way wrong..and who founded your church..? Where were you in the year 300?
Yeah. Where is the Catholic Church? Who would know?
'if you had the gift of celebacy then you wouldnt have any sexual desires'. That is a ridiculous, false and unbiblical statement. We all struggle against the flesh.
GOD BLESS YOU GOD BLESS YOU GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!
He's spreading things that arnt true
