Did you say "A glass of water"??? LOL Truly a complete room tour lol. Great stuff my friend. Love the Somewhere In Time poster as that is my favorite Maiden album, but the signed Wendy poster takes the cake! That is killer!!!!
I need to keep hydrated. The two Maiden posters I bought in the 80's as a kid, framed them when I moved away from home. The W.O.W poster I got when I was a member of her fan club in High School. I just got the Coup de Grace vinyl in the mail this week and am going to include that in this weeks vinyl and cd additions, still waiting in the cd from the UK. Plasmatics / W.O.W. collection coming this weekend.
Appreciate your diversity in tastes. I too am similar. I think you need a Led Zeppelin blimp.Ha. My favorite item of yours...the Wendy O. Williams signed and framed poster. Whenever I move and outfit my music room, I will feature a W.O.W. poster. Cheers.
The W.O.W. poster was from the fan club I joined in High School. I plan on doing a W.O.W. / Plasmatics collection maybe next week. I did look on Ebay to see if a Led Zeppelin blimp did exist (I would like to have one) it does, but to expensive for me. If I find one at a yard sale or flea market, or any blimp it will be added to my music room.
@@MarksMusic-hd6gv Never thought of it before but blimps would be a fun thing to collect. I'm visualizing how a tall room with the ceiling basically covered with blimps would look like. HA
I can't say I collect blimps, but have always found them interesting and when I find one I'll buy it. If I could fill the whole ceiling of my music room with blimps I would, not sure about the rest of the place. I got a new addition last weekend and added i to the music room, if I remember I will add it to "Last weeks addition" next week. Blimps / Airships rock.
For such a smaller type room you definitely made it seem bigger with how you spaced things around it. It is very cool, has a chill vibe to it! I feel like you could just get lost for hours in there looking at certain CDs and vinyls and listening to them. I also love how you have the one blue 311 album. I swear everyone has to have that blue 311 album in their CD collection! Ha ha ha
Tape measure, tape measure, tape measure. You can see mine next to the glass of water for everything from hanging the right sized poster to buying the right sized cabinets. I'm not anal, just need to use every inch of a small den.
Mark this room is awesome, i hope to have my room looking just as organized as yours! Wish i had picked up those Miley posters, i would have if i had known about them! Where did you find those cd shelves, the first set shown within the first few minutes, those are great, i need some!! Thank you for sharing this great room and your cool collection of everything!
It's been along time since I bought the CD towers but I think I got all of them from Amazon. Atlantic 35435725 Media Tower Elite Large (Black) Something like the link above. With the Miley posters, I don't think they ever sold out, so there may be some floating around out there. When some artists come out with the new album, the site changes and the new album is featured and the older stuff is no longer available on their website.
10,000 records is impressive. I used to buy collections when people were clearing out their garages or getting ready to move for next to nothing, don't find those deals anymore now that vinyl has made a comeback. Unfortunately I sold far more of those records than I have now and wish I could have quite a few of them back, I just did not have the room and in some cases I did not recognize the bands and just sold or traded them off. It's easy to become addicted to music, so much out there and so much to discover.
@MarksMusic-hd6gv ya just gotta luv those black spinning music makers. I was obsessed as a baby and collected very young and have never stopped I'm 51 now and have never gotten rid of. But the expense of them to purchase since the come back is phenomenal.
Danke, habe mir gerade einige deiner Videos angesehen. Tolle Sammlung und ich liebe all die interessanten Dinge, die Sie hinzugefügt haben, um Ihr Musikzimmer zu Ihrem eigenen zu machen
Nice tour Mark, you were able to push a lot into that smaller room. Now the question is, as your collection grows, where does it go? Enjoyed all the additional decor, giving you a sub to see some more videos
Right now the vinyl box sets, Mofi, and UHQRs are in the living room, behind the chair with the M&M are a couple of footlockers I can swap out for a couple more racks.
Small spaces fill up quick, I remember getting to a point in my last place if I bought 10 records I would have to decide what 10 records already in my collection to get rid of. I don't know how many DVDs I have, the cabinet below the Pioneer SX 727 is dedicated to my DVDs and more along with my BluRays are in the living room.
I can pick up records for $2 at my local lifeline but I don’t find many each year but I do collect double copies- put the better record with the better cover then donate the duplicate.
1) started buying vinyl. No other options but records and cassettes, more releases on vinyl at the record stores. 2) started buying cassettes when I got a cassette player bought less vinyl. 3) started buying CD's. 4) started to get rid of my records and cassette tapes when my CD collection started to grow (unfortunately). 5) bought a collection of about 300 records at a yard sale, kept only about 50 of them, traded the rest (unfortunately) for credit at a record store and got a few new records. That was the start of my record "collecting" 6) bought up several record collections totaling in the 1,000s, kept what I could keep and got rid of the things I already had, things I had not heard of (all before Discogs) or things I knew I didn't have any interest in (unfortunately). Now, I keep almost everything CD, Vinyl, and cassette. I like the idea of having a hard copy of my music CD's I will keep the better copy if I have a duplicate. I don't get rid of records or cassettes anymore.
Hey dude in all honesty I and probably a lot of other people would have enjoyed seeing you go slowly through the entire CD collection’s titles just long enough to read each title. Could be 15 minutes and I’d still be interested by the end there’s just something about collections that’s like that. Just saying don’t underestimate what you may think may be boring. Even better man no lie would be a video showing your whole collection and telling stories behind the ones you remember when you got them and stuff.
Great room but somehow i find it a strange collection of great albums Like maiden & beatles and then some pop ones like lady gaga, billy ( even different releases of the same :) and miley. :)
I think many people get stuck in a certain genre of music and don't have any interest in deviating. If someone listens exclusively to metal, or pop, or country, or hip hop, industrial, etc.. they probably have no interest in other forms of music. If someone grew up in the 60's, 70's, 80's, or 90,s they may be stuck in that decade and say everything after that sucks. I love discovering new music, when I was young I would change the dial on my radio to find the music I wanted to listen to at the time, and still today. When I was locked up in boarding school if I heard something I liked coming out of some ones room I would ask them what they were listening to and find bands I never heard of before. Why should I dislike Miley Cyrus, or Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Madonna, if I also like Iron Maiden, Plasmatics, KMFDM, Ministry, Beetles, Rolling Stones, etc. I don't limit myself, I don't dwell in the past, and I don't dislike any types of music (I would be lying if I said everything sounded great, no, there are bands and things I've heard I would prefer to never hear again).
@@braindeadrichard oddly enough, I find the best driving music is mainstream pop. If I really want to listen to music, I sit down and put on headphones but when I'm driving, I just need some simple pop music.
