As someone who loves all these channels that he homages (alongside of course THIS channel), THIS is the Cadmus Arc for me, lol. Thanks for inspiring me look at those old shows I caught as a kid again because now I own them all on Blu-Ray, it really is some of the best TV and superhero material out there.
I think where people get confused is...canon is not a synonym for 'good.' Something can both be canon and utter horseshit at the same time. Maybe it's difficult for DCAU fans to understand that because so much of it is excellent.
I like the DCAU comics. That said, I believe that the DCAU never had a super-tight canon to begin with, it is full of divergent possible timelines and inconsistencies.

Honestly an incredible video. I used to be a “skip the channel lore I find it boring” kinda guy for pretty much any channel that had it, but you guys have time and again sold me on it. Phenomenal job man.
Now that was one of the most epic things I've ever seen! It's like your own Crisis on Infinite Earths! Plus, you perfectly parodied those other TH-camrs, or at least the ones I'm familiar with (Comic Drake, Cinema Sins, Pitch Meetings/Ryan George, Casually Comics).
I think the best way to make this work in the current timeline is to disregard the dialogue itself and say Nora Fries’s illness came back. I already think that many cartoons’ dialogue is not exactly canon, more inferred. What they say is SIMILAR to what they actually said, but not exact. So ket’s just say that the dialogue in the comic is CLOSE to what they actually said, but not exact.

You guys are awesome, regarding the last part, I would have chosen "it's non canon". I'll have expected more from this comics coming from those who created the show.
The real answer to canon for this is that the comic was always a template for a potential HBO Max adaptation (this has been addressed a few times) obviously we can't get that now, but like Mad Love before it, the screen version would take precedence. There might or might have been more work going into that as they'd certainly have more time. Which means we probably wouldn't get Batman kicking Nora Fries.
The whole Nora thing just made it obvious that the comics broke from canon. Nora being a long-dead corpse can't fit into any part of the timeline. And not only that but Jason Todd being wedged into the story feels so poorly done and made no sense to the way events took place. It shouldn't be the reader's place to bend over backwards to explain a retcon when the DCAU used to try to make things fit. It's just bad writing to say that something that big happened between the scenes.
But it is not meant to take place in TV show universe hell I don't consider btas and tnab same universe to me....and bb is another au future as long time dc fan
I would 100% welcome an alternate DCAU timeline where Batman Beyond doesnt happen if it means we can see a happy ending for Bruce where he isn't old, miserable, and alone. If only there were an alternate story of mask Of the Phantasm where Batman turns a blind eye on Andrea killing Joker/she lets him go, and her and Bruce live happily ever after. Or if he gets with Catwoman or Talia, that works too. I think our hero deserves better than what he got.
Far as I'm concerned, the DCAU is the alternate timeline. The original universe is BTAS + the first two movies + the issues of the original Batman Adventures/Batman & Robin Adventures tie-in comic which don't conflict with the animated material. Let's call it Earth-992. STAS, TNBA, BB, etc. is all Earth-508.

I had been a big fan of the Watchtower for a while, and kept up with the storyline, but two years later, I realize that it was this video that made never miss a Watchtower upload. How everything’s progressed from this point has made this channel an UNDISPUTED favorite.

That future in this universe will be better for everyone . Tim will never be kidnapped , tortured , brainwashed and turned into Joker Junior by Joker and Harley Quinn and will remain Robin for few more years , Joker will never die and will even live to old age like Batman , Bruce himself in old age will never end up as lonely , bitter old man , he and his allies and friends including Barbara , Tim , Dick , Superman and rest of Justice League and heroes will remain on good terms , will never have falling outs , break off contact , severe all ties or be estranged from him and will even look after him in his old age , he and Catwoman will finally be together , will even marry and start a family and will have daughter Helena Wayne and will live happily ever after and Batman will never be lonely in his old age and will have his family including his wife and daughter and his allies including Dick , Tim , Barbara and even Superman , Wonder Woman and Justice League look after him .
Something doesn’t have to fit perfectly in its own universe to be good but taking the effort to make it as close as possible is always appreciated and it should always be attempted. The DCAU or Timmverse is more then just a art style. It’s more then a certain tone and it’s more then a set of stories. It’s a culmination of all three. A retelling of Under the Red Hood with a BTAS art style is not something I want but luckily I don’t think that’s what it is.
