Good review. I find wearing rubber gloves at work makes my hands sweat but when taken off my hands are wrinkle free for an hour and then they wrinkle back up. There is something good here but the scientists need to think how this plumping can be maintained longer.

The longer you use them (months or years) the longer they work. There’s this lady (Spanish channel) has been using medical tape which has similar effects. She’s like in her sixties but her skin is so nice looking without many wrinkles and she says that’s her secret.

I’ve included astaxathin in my daily routine -a pink algae that gives salmon, shrimp, flamingos their brilliant pink hue-it’s impressive how glowy, supple my skin looks , energy boosted, added UV protection , but the main benefits I’ve noticed are inflammation reduction, particularly a swelling in my foot that completely subsided after 3 weeks of daily 12mg use. It’s an impressive anti-Inflammatory effect ! I use a Canadian brand that grows their own algae & employs a gentle extraction process to harvest the micro algae / astaxathin.
I take them with a tablespoon of avocado oil in the morning.
      Thought I would share .

You're probably seriously deficient in Magnesium. Try "Mag Breakthrough", which has multiple forms of magnesium for best absorption.
Also, chocolate isn't necessarily "bad" for you, it's just that it depends on the type. A dark chocolate with a very high cacoa % is important. And of you learn how to make chocolate "fat bombs", they will satisfy a sweet tooth, & because of the saity of the good fats in the recipe, you won't need/want to over eat them. You can easy find recipes for them all over TH-cam.

Have you seen better results, on an overnight application?
It is recommended to wear over night, just asking if it was tried.
I am an aesthetician, and when you remove these patches, or even apply creams, masks, serums etc, always apply, and or peel upward, (for instance the patches on the decolletage, neck, forehead, cheeks, remove upward... and, always, for they eyes from the outer eye, inward towards the nose, and upward as well.
    Thank you for the review.

I was going to suggest that as well ,plus gently holding the skin where you peel away the silicone.
I love medical grade silicone for scar healing but find the face patches a little pricey for daily use & one can not use skincare underneath, which kind of makes them special event only for me. I find the Sio patches the best for sticking & are much thinner than Oia. Just a preference thing.

Vaseline overnight works great - messy but very occlusive. There are also gel pads (moistened) you can buy in a tub for under eyes and smile lines that work well too. They have moisturizers slathered on them but they don't hold in place well. Just slide them up every 5 min (for 20 min) and you're good. And don't forget your red light (my favourite for years now).

    • @thehonestchannel

@@thehonestchannel I use the Silk'n Facefx (bought a 2nd to use at the same time - I really like the product) - it's time consuming and I'd rather have a mask but they weren't a thing when I bought the Facefx. Mine still work so I still use them. You have to be consistent. When I first bought, I was lazy (used 1-2x/wk and figured it didn't work at let it sit for a year a so before committing. I totally noticed results in the 8 week period. I also use it differently too - I hold in one spot 3-5 min instead of moving all over face. Hence the long process and two devices. Mine is just red light.
Should add it wasn't sold on infrared because if you get heat, well you get infrared. It is quite warm.

This was very interesting, and useful to watch for anyone considering OIA. It seems to me that, as you say, this might be good for a quick pick-me-up for skin before an event, although the waste it produces would put me off. I think overall one would get a more lasting, and cumulative, effect for roughly the same price with a higher-end applied product like Wow This Cream Is Really Good (silly name, I know) or a SkinCeuticals overnight product, plus sunscreen and Vitamin C (if you don't protect your skin from sun damage, all the rest of it is kind of pointless). The ingredients weren’t listed, but I found out that those types of products are made with formaldehyde and lots of other dangerous ingredients. I’ll never do that again! - massaging the back of neck, scalp and forehead. Relax muscles=relax skin= less wrinkles. Check: oksana english channel for massages, very good and effective.
-always wear sunglasses and get use to not frown or squint. It makes such a diffrence to get use to freeze your forehead and eyes.
-sleeping on you back is really beneficial but I can't, so I sleep on a small pillow and I just rest my head on it from the ears back, so my face is touching nothing. I know as well which positions are smashing my face and causing the wrinkles. Get a mirrow, lie down and study your face while you are resting it on the pillow, you will learn the positions that are good for you. Over time is a second nature while you are sleeping not to rest in that position. Long term it makes a huge diffrence.
-moisturize. I have a silicon rehusable masks (2 euro, pack of 2 in amazon. Best 2 euro I ever spent) that I use on a face masks. I use ones form a tube: embryolisse hydrating mask, water sleep form Laneige, or my latest is one fron uriage. I apply over a clean wet face, then the silicon masks and then I head to the shower or I rest with a warm towel on top. 10 minutes with that and your face is just sooo plump after!! Then my product and then an occlusive, very important so the moisture doesnt scape. I used to do that everyday until my skin got hydrated, now I do it every 4 days...or so.
      - The surgical tape: I use micropore from 3M or Boost own brand. I lie 3 layers or more of them and I put them in my eleven lines. Dont stretch the skin too much or you will cause wrinkles arround it. Relax the forehead, stretch the skin a little bit and then apply the tape. Put pressure with the palm of you habd so it is well stick. In the forehead put them vertical, you can put several along the line that is bothering you. In the crowds feet put them in the orbital bone, not too close to the eyes or you will cause wrinkles there.Put your fingers in the temples and smile, that way you will kniw which is the best place to put them that would freese the orbital muscle.
      - You will see inmediatw effects the following morning but it last a few hours. For seeing long term effects you need to do it I say for a month or so, deownding how bad they are. And keep doing a maintenance routine a couple of days a week, even less for me.
      - Good effective skin products work, not advertised by influencers!!

Silicone can be recycled multiple times without losing much of its structural integrity. Unfortunately, like plastic, recycling silicone is almost always considered downcycling. This means that it slowly degrades with each subsequent use. Indeed, when silicone is recycled properly and through the proper channels, it is usually melted down into an oil that is then used for everything from industrial lubricant to playground mulch.
According to EarthHero, the result of silicone recycling almost always results in a lesser product. If left to its own devices in a landfill, say, silicone will take centuries to break down. Unlike plastic, however, the sand-based silicone will eventually return to the Earth, rather than becoming dangerous plastic microbeads.
However, silicone usually has to be sent to a specialized recycling company to be properly recycled. Because of this, many users will simply throw away silicone at the end of its life (where it will sit without breaking down for centuries). When properly recycled, or sent to a company’s take-back program, silicone can be downcycled into an oil that can be used as industrial lubricant, playground mulch, or another lesser product.

The products that dermatologists sell you are incredibly expensive and often don’t show any results until you’ve had several treatments. And then you have to go back after a few months and get touch up work and then start all over again. We’re talking thousands and thousands of dollars. Because none of those cosmetic treatments are covered by insurance. So I guess if you’ve got thousands and thousands of dollars to spend then, that is probably a good idea. I’ve had fillers done before I’ve had Botox done before. And they’re good but they’re very expensive. So let’s be realistic there are good products that are not necessarily sold to you by or performed by aestheticians or dermatologists. Granted they take longer to work but are much much cheaper.

I went to several dermatologists. They don't really help because they're men or women not as focused on wrinkles or wrinkles prevention as I would be. They're more concerned with medical issues like acne, as they likely should be

I have an issue with the fact that I don’t think they’re environmentally good when it comes to disposing these patches. But more so the fact that when you’re washing the patches to reuse, silicone comes off. So after maybe three or four times, I can’t see how they would work. You’re literally washing the silicon off with .each use.

Yes, I mention the environmental factor. It’s why I’m not a big fan either.

Missing the benefit… not like tape but it has an electrical reaction to help build collagen over time. Consistency is necessary. This is basic chemistry and missed by so many. Scar tape used daily for weeks is incredibly effective

There's a brand called the wrinkle schminkel. Or something silly like that. That the I pieces go above and below but they're meant to fit there. I've watched the videos of one of the women who helped make them. And she uses them every day and even while she's waiting in between things she'll slap them on. But the size for the eyes works way better with the other Brad and it doesn't seem to pull. She also knows how to put them on and take them off so that you adjust your skin better. If you can find wrinkle Shminkle. Whatever the name is, keep looking, I may have it spelled wrong. I'm using voice to text with no glasses on. She has all the ways of putting them on properly and shows it. I've never got to use it because I just can't afford this stuff right now. When I didn't need them, I had all the money in the world. Then everything went to somewhere deep underground. And it has stayed that way so age caught up with me. Stress and malnutrition. What I wouldn't give for the other brand just as a donation.😢😊

The idea is the patches trap moisture to plump your skin. I didn't feel they made me hot, but I could feel my skin was damp when I took them off.

it seems too sticky for the eyes, if you pull on the skin it causes more bags...etc...maybe they should create a kind of swimmer goggles application...does the stickiness go away after time? How do you wash them? Are they ok for the environment? They should turn it into a full face mask, maybe even a covid mask..lol

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi. I’ve covered off those points in the video if you have time to watch it through. The stickiness diminishes with use and you wash in cold water. Love the idea of an anti-aging COVID mask 😆
