    Always loved the retro style of this one, but always wished they came out with a version with a smaller diameter.

      A wish shared with many including myself. It would be a hit if launched now with the current market admiration for vintage watches

    Great video David 👏 I now understand why this watch - that I’ve always admired - has been off my radar for a few years! It’s a shame it’s not been getting the publicity it’s deserved and is now being discontinued! 😬😳

      Thank you Dean! It just needed an in house movement and more marketing! Hopefully Tudor revisits this watch down the road

    With the Tudor Price Chrono One Watch released recently. This could be a great basis to reissue with inhouse movement, maybe 39mm and in a variety of metals 🔥

    I really like this design. The dial is lovely, great sport colour combinations. The subdial designs are excellent. The sharp orange seconds hand is brilliant. And so thin for a chrono!
    The current offering of course sports a better movement but the design is so generic. This is so much nicer. Rare to have good water resistance as well.
    Excellent review, and I liked the matching GT40 in the background! 👌
    Thank you

    The discontinuation slipped by me until I saw it mentioned on another TH-cam channel. I had just looked at the product page the other day. I'm not sure how long my AD rep has been there, but I know he's been there at least a year and he said he's never seen one of those come into their store. I love the '70s funkiness. I would love to see this return later with a slightly smaller diameter (40mm). Not because it won't fit me (I am wearing a new Explorer II with similar dimensions to the Heritage Chrono right now), but because it's a nice size and a bit more desirable in 2023. I don't know that Tudor will do it now, but the cyclops like on the original would be great. I also feel some text is needed on the bottom half the of the dial. That big blank space doesn't look right.

      @perpetuality  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good eye on the blank space of the dial it would’ve been less noticeable had the watch been a 40mm

      @@perpetuality That's a great point about it being less of an issue on a smaller diameter version.

    I've had mine since summer of 2014. It sits unworn in my watch box from September through April. But come Memorial day it rarely leaves my wrist until the end of summer.

    I was rocking it while picking up a new watch from my AD on March 7. The salesman couldn’t help noticing it and remarked that three weeks prior AD’s were informed that not further orders for the heritage chronos will be fulfilled.
    Was a bit of a sad and quiet departure but I own it and wouldn’t trade it for the current Tudor Chronos.

      There isn’t a better Tudor Chrono in my opinion but hope Tudor revisits this design in the near future. It’s just too good to put away

    Having owned both the new Tudor Chronographs and these older ETA driven 42mm models, I cannot agree more that this older version is a better wear on the wrist. I sold both my newer models and kept the older versions. Sadly I think these Monte Carlo and Base Plate dials were a bit too radical for some more conservative buyers tastes. Now discontinued I am sure they will follow the usual trend and only increase in value.

    • @perpetuality
      @perpetuality  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To think that we may never see a Monte Carlo again with the black bay chrono occupying the spot is a tragedy!

  • @Tyanmax99

    I for one am glad this was 42mm. Anything under 42mm looks like I taped a dime to my wrist.

    1) Will they reissue it in 39-40?
    2) If they do, will they use "in house movement" and double the price like everyone is doing?
