I don't know why everyone hating that mustang with this engine. It sounds good. I know V8 is much louder, here is good too. In my opinion, it sound like a "racing" car. I really like it.

It's louder in quiet mode than I thought it would be. Not too loud, but it sounds louder in quiet mode than my stock ecoboost exhaust. Thanks for sharing.
Quiet mode sounds just like a stock EcoBoost. When under WOT it eventually opens up the valves which is why it sounded loud. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
This really helps, I'm building out a 2024 mustang and while I really want the v8, 4 extra cylinders and all the premium features I want really isn't worth the extra $10-15k to me. I don't race and moving up from my 08' v6 the ecoboost is more than enough for me.
i just got the 2021 ecoboost premium with active exhaust as well i don't regret it, even tho i test drive the gt and it is better than ecoboost. i have it for a week now and every time i drive my ecoboost always put a smile on my face and i feel like driving it more lol
My recommendation is to buy the GT if you can afford it, buy the eco if you can’t or wait until you can afford the GT. Unless you really like the EcoBoost platform, then get one and enjoy it!
@@JVette01 the only thing I can really afford is ecoboost. My 2016 v6 mustang is nearing 100k miles and won’t last much longer. If I save for GT it’ll take 4 years... UNLESS... I buy a used one with high mileage 😡
Maybe the EcoBoost would work for you then! It’s a really fun car and feels quicker than the 6 in daily driving scenarios. Nothing wrong with getting an interim car if you are worried about longevity of your car. I think the 6 has been pretty reliable though.

But almost immediately I regretted the purchase because it wasn't what I truly wanted which was that growl at start up and on acceleration. I also wanted that hard pulling feeling when you get into it, kinda pin you in your seat experience. The eco is a good running car for what it is. Off the line I can't tell a huge difference because the GT spins a lot more. But from 30 up pulls its no comparison. I traded my 18 eco in 4 months later, and yes I lost a lot of money, went upside down on my 19 GT Premium my only regret is I didn't get the GT to begin with. I understand it's a bit pricey difference, my eco was 28,000 and the GT 45,000 but the experience between the two isn't comparable. I would say get your credit right and save enough down payment to get your payment where it's doable and get the GT. I think the ecoboost is for someone that loves the looks of the Mustang but performance and honestly sound isn't important to them. I'm not bashing the eco or trying to be a jerk, I'm just agree if a GT is what you really want you won't be happy compromising with a eco because you can't afford a GT. If I wanted a convertible Mustang I would get a ecoboost, because the purpose of that car is the freedom of the wind in your hair and performance wouldn't be a priority in that situation for me. All I'm saying is don't Compromise, if you really want a GT then wait until you can get one or consider other options for a vehicle because you'll have regret compromising
We can't seem to find the exhaust mode on our Ecoboost. Been looking for this mode and we cannot find it. Even have watched These videos to help find this mode using steering wheel controls
I got a 2019 with the active exhaust and honestly maybe its cause im inside of the car that has sound dampening but it doesnt seem loud even in track. I was hoping for it to be a bit louder and idk if theres any modifications that can be done to it

I'm super torn between a Dodge Charger GT or Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertible. I've already owned the SXT Challenger and Charger, and I currently own the Camaro 1LT 2021. I absolutely adored the sounds of this engine, very underrated. I especially fancied the two track mode engine sounds. I'm gravitating more toward this.

I have an almost same spec but without the active exhaust. Where did you get that spoiler? I have been looking for that exact style from the Shelby/Mach 1 and want to get one that I can trust and fits the stock holes from my original spoiler.

I don't think they want the performance to be too similar to a GT. Also, the EcoBoost V6's weight is similar to the 5.0, and one thing people like about the EcoBoost Mustang is the lighter nose and balance. Not to mention, the V6 doesn't get as good of gas mileage either. I think it would be cool though!
They do! The newest HP 2.3L is a bigger engine than the stock 2.3L. Its the same engine in the discontinued Focus RS. Biggest 2.3L ford makes(and they say in the world)

HPP exhaust is exactly the same as a normal EcoBoost with active valves

I haven’t looked into that, but probably not. If you were to install an aftermarket valved system, it would have to have its own little switch.
