3. This is not a collection of the best punchlines. It’s a collection of a few fight scenes. Nothing wrong with a few fights scenes, but when your title doesn’t match the content, you lose credibility with your audience.
That lil face switch after “See? Help and company.”, that shits cold. Shows both sides of his character entirely. The methodical, calculated killer + the respectful and genuinely caring person he is.
@@pbdye1607thats right, because he is a killer. He is the brilliant mix of cold hearted pseudo psychopath, a pragmatist, and an awfully caring, kind and compassionate man. An absolute genius in my books.
It's really AMAZING how, after all these years and as old as he is now, Denzel Washington can STILL portray the EQUALIZER as a man you DON'T want to cross, simply because he's smart, fearless, and REALLY knows how to make his role BELIEVABLE just from the way he expertly delivers a movie line!
Help and company. There is only one Denzel Washington. And he could have stood outside of the CO car, but he took the time to sit down and relax. Beautiful.
I cant believe you didn't show the part in Equalizer 1 when he said- "That little girl you nearly beat half to death will move on with her life, while you bleed here and die over $9800 dollars"...😅.
MAN ON FIRE WAS STRAIGHT MF FIRE🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥HE IS JUST A COOL HUMAN,PERIOT❗ON AND OFF SCREEN, DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE ACTOR HANDS DOWN💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
8:48 "You asked me what I saw when I looked at you. What do you see when you look at me?" When Denzel says that, Teddy's face drops just a tiny little bit and loses that smirk. He now realizes he's facing a very dangerous opponent. Great acting by Marton Csokas.
'The only disappointment for me is I only get to do it once"! WELL DAMM! When I heard that, my thought was which one of them just crapped their pants. I know it's a movie, but dam!
Nicholas should have taken the hint from his conversation with Nico. When he told him, "I promised someone I love never to go back to the man I was, but for you I'm gonna make an exception. When you look at me what do you see?" You can't win in a fight against a man who absolutely has nothing to loose when in beast mode.
4:12 That guy had the best facial expressions, I swear....Him and Denzel going head to head for the first time on those steps just outside the apartment door was slick and you just KNEW the last fight scene would be priceless, and that guy did not disappoint at all❤️🔥
Missed one of the great lines from the first movie---Ralphie notices his busted-up knuckles at the Home Mart (after he had killed Slavi and his men the previous night) and asks what happened. Robert's answer is, "I hit it on something stupid." Zing!
Missing that one line where a thug asks him "Who are you?" and Denzel immediately responds with "I'm your father, yo mom just never told ya". That one's more on the funny side but still hits exactly in the right spot for some reason.
My favorite thing about him in the Equalizer shows is his repetitive almost compulsive handling of the props. But I would watch him in anything, he is my all time favorite actor.
That last scene was cold as hell. Purposely made him suffer and crawl his way away just to remind him you aren't gonna get away from him by just walking with him the entire time
What freaks me out is how, with the ones he doesn't sneak up on, he shows his face to his quarry. As if to make sure he's the last thing they see before they pass. Now you won't be able to unsee it. 😵
Totally agree. The others seem formulaic compared to The Equalizer series. Denzel is disarmingly charming with everyone but his target. He communicates a lethal threat that only the bad guy would interpret that way. It is at once professional and very scary.
The best line was "This aint one of those times". lol [Basically communicating...if I was you, I'd get my affairs in order, cause the clock is ticking on your life...tick, tock...]
Even if I didn't like Denzel, it's very hard to put another movie above Equalizer part 1: the story line, the message, the language, Mr McColl's character makes it a stand alone move I've watched it at least 200 times and never get tired of it.
I watch anything Denzel is in , I started watching him on St Elsewhere in the 80's , that was his 1st big break into the business that he became a Movie Star Legend in 💪💯
I love how in real life and movies that when the powerful and/or corrupt are put in the most compromising places, we see they are cowards. Just like courtrooms when people who have committed the most heinous acts will cry like a baby left alone with no bottle for hours when sentenced...
Washington is such a good actor that he's genuinely terrifying. The biggest issue with parts 2 and 3 is that they never gave Robert a villain worthy of his talents. Csokas was an amazing villain. Well built-up and brutal, the guy had depth and layers going on. It helped that his performance was perfect, too. The other big bads are too easy in the sequels, especially in the third film. The third film has no challenges at all for Robert.
The badass music at 20:08 is the most vicious, most primal thing I’ve ever heard. That music reflects McCall’s dark side. When that dark side lets loose, look out! McCall is an unstoppable force of nature like a tornado that leaves behind death and destruction in its wake. Question: what makes McCall different from the villains he kills? The answer: he is more lethal than they are. The villains are the snake, McCall is the mongoose, and the snake cannot touch the mongoose because the mongoose is a faster and deadlier killing machine than the snake is. That’s the difference!
Someone said it reminded them of Adrian Belew's guitar work from King Crimson. I agree and it is what caught me off-guard when I saw the movie. It's so dark, brutal, and raw. It's called "9 Seconds" on the album soundtrack. th-cam.com/video/EG8LNHI-U1o/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=MarceloZarvos-Topic
Lots of people in this world, here and now, need McCalls kind of "justice". Many victims of rape, torture etc would love McCalls character to be real instead of a writers work of fiction.

"why didn't he just punch the window?!" You try it... You will break your damn fist, I've tried it in a scrap yard, I laid down on my back in the back of the car and was kicking the absolute shit out of the window, it flexed and the trim got all fucked up but I didn't break the window. Granted I wasn't in a life and death situation... But still.
I did it just once. I was ran off the road by an oncoming vehicle and my car flipped four times. I gratefully landed on all four tires. I just remember going “Ahhhh!” And I whomped the drivers window and it shattered. I couldn’t believe it. I dove out the window and that was that. Adrenaline.
In the movie Red Heat with big Arnie he broke the wrong window in the car. the one next to it was candy glass, he punched a real one. The look on Jim Belushi's face is real.
