I must have watched this scene over 50 times or it seems like that anyway. It's just written and acted out so very well. You catch the arrogance of the Mafia and McCall's zero tolerance for that arrogance. Just brilliant, just brilliant and extremely entertaining. Thank you.
I agree, the Italian actor is very talented, im surprised its overlooked...you would really believe hes the character...not to mention the way he acted being in pain when mcall pressed the nerve, to me that Italian actor stole the show in this scene
I LOVE characters like Robert. Apex Predators, boogeymen for villains, and a force for good. It's always really satisfying when fiction can properly show the fear the bad guys have for the hero/heroine.
This scene and his attitude throughout the entire conversation, especially with regards to timing, reminds me of that Genghis Khan quote: "I am the punishment of God. If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you"
I love the way he smiles at the guy when he comes at him with the knife! Like he’s thinking you don’t know what’s going to happen my friend! Absolutely brilliant section of this film!
Honestly, everyone gives the well earned praise to Denzel, but also props to the villains and the bad guys, they really work well with Denzel and make it believable that they're pieces of human garbage. They did a great job in all of these movies enhancing how much we cheer for McCall and feel bad for the civilians and victims of the bad guys.
The last thing he looked at was straight into McCalls eyes until his soul left this earth, this is cinematography at its absolute finest, up there with the “your not afraid of me are you” scene in “Dead Man’s Shoes”
it's that last part where McCall stares him down after he dies. All I can think of is that I heard the human brain is still functioning a while after death. Man - I know it's just Hollywood - but man.
I'm so thankful for these movies! The way justice should be portrayed! I'm sick and tired of real criminals being set free to do it all over again and again...
What absolutely kills me about this scene is imagine going into shock, your eyes not registering the fact he just snapped your arm. Without flinching he takes said broken arm that is gripping the knife and proceeds to stab him with his own hand. Can you imagine that level of dissociation you’d experience from that? The way he doesn’t react to his own arm stabbing himself and probably tried to regain control till he realized he needed to use his other arm. By the point it’s too late. Insane scene.
@@Yellowstone300 Why the emote? You sick someone can speak other languages? You sick cause he speaks french? You arrogant enough to think english is the most beautifull language of the world? You sick cause you think only english should be spoken or written?
So re watching this clip. The man at 4:30 with his family in the restaurant actually returns in this scene in the morning as one of the officers investigating the crimes scene 7:30. Savage details this officer knows exactly who did it.
This makes sense: he is a serial killer who has military experience. That's why the third one presents him as a horror movie character, while the first two were just action packed. He mentioned on the first movie “promised someone not to return this life”.
I love the part where he maintains eye contact on the way to the floor. It's almost as though to exaggerate that i am the last thing you will ever lay eyes on.
i have seens this scene dozens of times and every time i think the same thing. This scene shows the difference between professionalism and arrogance. Mccall was a pure professional he was given the young mafios who though the world revolved around him a chance to leave go somewhere else but the young mafioso though he ruled the world because he was protected or because of his family or any number of reasons, when time came mccall showed him none of that mattered. like the saying says be careful of old men in a profession where young men die they are old for a reason. the young idiot should have reconized skill and backed away but his ego and his arrogance wouldnt let him.
Im italian, trust me: this is REAL italian lenguage. I'm pretty sure the actors are italians. They talking like me. Not like "inglorious bastard". Questo è vero italiano, per la precisione dialetto del sud Italia misto alla normale lingua italiana. Molto bello. Very nice. For me, the effect of this scene is very cool because finally i see one movie whit italian characters when actors talk real italian lenguage. Cool
This had to be the last Equalizer because you realize that he is actually a psychopath in the clinical sense. Not just a revenge killer. They couldn't have gone further with him in another movie without making him a scary individual.
"i'm a bad-ass character in this movie, and nobody better mess with me or i'll... oh, hello, mr. washington. yes, i'll be leaving now. have a good day." sounds like common sense to me...
2:38 Marco: "You warning me?"
McCall: "I'm preparing you."
What a simple, yet amazing exchange of dialogue.
The way McCall just “dead stares” him in the eyes 👀. Awesome. 😎
i was going to say the same damn thing, the way the man looks right at you while he slowly withers away
Call the ambulance! But not for me!
Mr. McCall gave the guy a chance to run away but he brought his death on himself.
Chilling. It is one of the coldest, most void of emotion stares, I have ever seen.
👁️👁️👀 👁️👁️👀🙈
6:35 damn. The way he was looking into his eyes as he was dying, that shit was cold. Denzel basically became the Grim Reaper in this movie.
He wears all black, all movie….The Angel of Death
that plus the music makes me think of dexter.
My comment stolen from a kid from Montana 👍🏼😉
Especially when he continued following Vincent until he died
Yes, and as Marco rushes toward him with the knife, McCall is smiling. That too is cold.
I love watching this because of Justice being served just as harsh as the crime given.
that's why they call him Equalizer
Need more of that in this country!!
I must have watched this scene over 50 times or it seems like that anyway. It's just written and acted out so very well. You catch the arrogance of the Mafia and McCall's zero tolerance for that arrogance. Just brilliant, just brilliant and extremely entertaining. Thank you.
Yeah, it is excellent. Even their facial expressions are on point. So too the dialog

@@MedamineSlasla-su6mv 100% agreed 👍! Just all around good movie. I really hope there is a 4th installment!
@6:35 the way he looks into his soul as he takes his life. Apex predator, but very chilling at the same time.
I know totally made this scene!👊🔥

THE BOOK OF ELI
Yeah, The Book of Eli
Robert McCall was the Michael Myers in Equalizer 3 but with the bad guys.
Yeah i remember when he said,
get ur fuckin hands of me.. also with the lips thing he did 😂

how sweet, he brought me a knofe!
McCall was at his most lethal in this installment.
True! Dude didn’t hold back maximum violence on this one
Denzel is terrifying in this movie! He plays this part so well!
McCall always takes the seat with his back to the wall, and his eyes on the door.
As every man should.
The carabinieri was thinking, Man, this turned out to be a great day. Man I love that guy

“Are you warning me?” , “Preparing you” oh shit! This is going to get sticky hot and messy!
He gave you a chance and what do you do hit him with some “tude” how did that work out for you?
That is what you call a stare down!
First the smile then hell has a chuckle
@1:09 that stare ... you done f***ed up mafioso
Lo sguardo del maresciallo
we need more movies like this!! make it 4, 5, 6, 7, 100
The Equalizer series is fantastic!! Ready for more!!
“Make my day”, “If you want to do business with me I will do business with you” and now “Is that a TIMEX?”

it’s beyond words mate
Death wears many faces this face is named Robert McCall
Am I the only one who was completely mesmerized by Aminah’s (the waitress/owner at the caffee) charm and beauty??!!😍😍😍😍😍😍
Anche io. È una bellezza angelica
You're not alone!
Staring at your enemy till he dies. That is sweet.
"I'm preparing you." What a great line. Bro shouldn't have got up from his chair and got into McCall's business.
Nothing beats the first time....
"I have rarely seen skills like this" teddy
Denzel Acting is so Top Tier, I believe EVERY character he plays, like that’s how he is in real life!🔥🔥😅😅
Like him in Training Day. Total commitment, total immersion.

The gurgling at 3:11 is beautiful. 😂😂😂
gag factor 😂

I like that gurgling sound he makes when Denzel applies the pain. Like a little child….
He made the same gurgling sound with that knife in his throat, too. "I told you I was preparing you."

This scene is awesome, but there's one small mistake: He didn't calculate the time needed and didn't beep his watch ;-)
I believe that him using the guys watch against him still represents his use of his watch in other scenes
😂
Actually, McCall only uses the watch after he has given the future victims a chance to change their minds. These guys, no chances given.
Yeah no ifs ands or buts they had to go
it's that last part where McCall stares him down after he dies. All I can think of is that I heard the human brain is still functioning a while after death. Man - I know it's just Hollywood - but man.
He's watching his eyes glaze over so he knows he's dead.
I think there’s a sick part of him that knows that’ll be the last thing that guy sees in life and will follo him in eternity
He wants the guy to die knowing who killed him
I'm so thankful for these movies! The way justice should be portrayed! I'm sick and tired of real criminals being set free to do it all over again and again...
I keep pausing it to find filming breaks but , these scenes happened so fast and it so looks real WOW
His closeup watching the dudes eyes dilate at the moment of death, righteous. Real life very sad, movies love it!!
This movie hits your soul.....classic good vs evil.....you live by the sword & you die by the sword
So gratifying, even if is only a movie, to see arrogant, bad guys who think they’re invincible get a sound comeuppance.
Vero. Anche se è un film dà soddisfazioni
The way Denzel plays these assassin roles got me thinking he was either one in his past life or he wanted to be one as a child😂😂😂
6:16 this man just enjoying himself and smiling right before he kills him
Our man said "Bwrwrrwrr!" 😂
Looool i caught that too didn't miss a thing
“Lord knows I’m allergic to bad things” incredible line
Looka here, D.W. is perfect for this role. Can't think of no one better😊

I love the action of this movie.
Damn! That reminds me of when John Wick did that in chapter 1.
La scène du restaurant est tout a fait exceptionnelle. Du grand art. La tension total dans un calme absolut et sans mouvement... Exceptionnel !

Should've said "Stop stabbing yourself" "Stop stabbing yourself"
😄
Sounds like you had brothers!
You messed with the wrong guy skippy!
Highly realistic and impressive representation
Michael Coreleone knew how to go to dinner as a gangster no menace calm no threatening civilians come out of the toilet shooting!
When McCall is pushing his nerve
the guy sounds like Chewbacca!
You know at the end of this film the older brother Vincent screams and threatens Robert quiet menace is more scary
That McCall smile just as the baddie comes at him with a knife. Like it was fun.
This EQ shit went up a bunch of notches. Denzel: the dead eye stare.
wow.....and he got up close in his face to watch the life drain out of him or to be the last visual image the mafia brother saw.
"Is this the Timex?"
This is how we wish all oppressors end .Thank you Denzel for pointing this out, I still think one of your best movies was "Fences"
I swear Mr.Mccall be giving yll a chance 😂😂😂

Onde tiver Denzel Washington, é garantia de sucesso e bilheteria, um excelente ator e de uma empatia fora do comum.
Denzel really had him with the, why you stabbing yourself? 5 times 😂
Er ist ein absoluter ausgezeichneter Schauspieler und ich mag ihn sehr gerne er kann es so gut präsentieren und ich habe es schon im Kino gesehen
"Stop stabbing yourself! Stop stabbing yourself!"
We need for Roberts in this world
He made the same gurgling sound with that knife in his throat. "I told you I was preparing you."
*
After each sequel, he’s becoming darker.
Denzel could stare at a wall for 2 hours and it would be a hit. The man is amazing in every role hes in.
Denzel was a savage in the Book of Eli, but he was even more of a savage in all 3 Equalizer movies.
The way he looks into their eyes is realll deep!
"My face is the last thing you will see."
To have believable heroes you must have creditable villains. These guys just ouze malevalence, so get all they deserve, i never tire of it.
I want to meet Denzel and shake his hand and give him a big hug for the phenomenal actor he is !!!
I think this is my personal best part of the movie. Especially when Denzel says your timing isn't very good.
6:28 He made him shit his self… That’s that sound… you think its the blood sliding down on the van but its not.
Don't underestimate McCall, he will take you out with precision.
Robert: on a scale of 1 to 10, this is a 2
Thug: BRRRRR
Doesn’t Marco know that smoking could significantly shorten his life and those around him?
This is a masterpiece, denzel washington it the best actor.
Best act of denzel
'Pain Compliance' Denzel is a GOAT. Why are they always bearing Marco😅😅. Same way, Brian Mills dealt with Marco in Taken
McCall will give you a whole life lesson while whooping that ahh 😂😂
