Thank you guys for showcasing the GC Nano project! It was awesome working with you!
you're going to get a LOT of requests for these (put me on the top of the list!)
Shut up and take my money! Let me buy one!
It would be cool if you made a GameCube mini that is basically a case and controller pass through for a Raspberry Pi 4 for emulation.
you deserve to be a billionaire!
Where can I get this
Hard vouch for Wesk and Crazygadget. They are skilled and passionate contributors to the modding scene.
❤❤❤
I like the idea, I just hate that seemingly everyone with a 3D printer refuses to smooth their prints out.
What do u mean smooth it out
You know what he means@@user-yk1cw8im4h
@@user-yk1cw8im4hso that it doesn't look like crocodile skin
@@scynapz well there must be a charm to crocodile skin, otherwise it wouldn't be so expensive.
I kinds like it. Make it too shiny and it will look like a Wish fake and scratch easily
If you don't have the skill to build one or it isn't affordable to buy one, emulation is the way to go. No matter what he charges, it is what it is. I can't knock him. He puts in the work, you got to pay for it or build it yourself.
How do you pay for one?
Wow 🤩 game cube nano brings so nostalgic games highly recommend it to retro gaming collectors 😊
Honestly I wouldn’t mind if it was a little bigger and Optimize better
That's really cool! The gamecube has so many hidden gem games!
That is amazing!! Also amazing is how crusty your Wavebird is!! 😆
That’s pretty cool. Too bad they didn’t do a Kick Starter.
I want one!!!
Another video from Rob. So happy he is getting paid for what he loves, he is a really great reviewer and I knew right away something was special in his videos.
Wow... That HDMI output is a huuuge deal, I am still playing F-Zero GX in 480i on my Gamecube because the component cables are crazy expensive and it sadly looks blurry as hell. Goddamn, is this available to buy? Since Nintendo hates F-Zero GX now, this is probably the only chance to play it on a small device in locked 60 fps. Even my i5 13400f, 32gb ddr4 and rtx 3060 12gb oc stutter with the game in some cases. GX is so well optimised on Gamecube I haven't seen a single dropped frame ever (even watch the Digital Foundry framerate test video), but the emulation is just still not perfect in Vulkan and when you boost at 1700km/h you notice every single stutter. The game selection interface looks amazing, also the drag and drop function just puts snes classic mini and playstation classic to shame. Hell yess force widescreen is super cool since GX supports 16:9 natively, it is 2023 and GX is still not ported anywhere beyond Gamecube, you would think Nintendo would want to make one of the greatest games ever more easily accesible, it has been 20 goddamn years... I am surprised my GX disc is still working. PS. made by hand.. yeah I thought so...
Retro Prism makes some aftermarket GameCube component cables. They are $60, which is still a lot but way less than $400 for the official ones. I use them with a Retrotink 5x upscaler and they work great.
Great video Rob 👍
Thanks!
I really want one!
Wow this is such a cool lil device
The "real deal" i like the look off this product well done guys.
Great video!
Thanks!
Dude - clean that wavebird controller up please!
On it!
Gamecube is my favorite system.,.....must have one.
Crazy Gadget Mods doesn't have a website?! I can't find it. How do they sell their products???
I need one now!!
Ok one thing.. please clean that wave bird controller
That wavebird controller needs an alcohol wipe 😅
Loved the whole video. Minus the plugs. They look like a pain to step on in the middle of the night
Just imagine stepping on the actual Nano 😳
Amazing! I want it in orange or forget about it lol
Where can I buy it it look sick🤩
3:14 Retrotink 2x actually doesn't upscale 480p and only accepts 480i and 240p signals. You are comparing 480p Gamecube Nano signal to 480i Wii signal most likely.
And where would one go about getting one
thanx Baldie, love ur accent, dude!
So….where can we buy this?!
I would have died if he just pulled out tiny gamcube disk to place in side 😂
Where to buy it?
Where can you buy one?
it's a modified wii tho?
Wesks ultra mini PS2 is great too
Will have to check it out!
Cool little novelty, but i'm good with my GC Loader, Swiss, Carby HDMI adapter, and mClassic
Nice 👍
I have no idea what is all that but I agree there are more convenient ways. But this is surely pretty
I mean the GameCube is small enough it just needs a build in memory card with am sure is easier now with the ports on back and modders
Great video but bro clean your wavebird
A thousands smackadoooz is a little harsh don’t you think
how do you buy this tho?!
where does the CD go?
bonito
Is it possible to run project m?
Don't these cost 1000$?
“…pretty graphically demanding games” talking about a GameCube in 2023 lol.
Just messaged the guy who makes these to build me one,$1000 plus postage.
I cant justify that kind of outlay
How much?! 😳
Yip! That much. near enough 800 quid!
can always learn to make one yourself. this isn't a factory making them, its one guy who has to assembled and wire up everything. It's very difficult especially in such a small form factor
Makes sense imo
All the Parts & Time + labor
Ngl if I could I totally would buy 1😅
Because let’s be real the big N isn’t making any more of these Classic/Mini style consoles any time soon, that’s why I ordered a RG Nano because I’m gonna paint it to look just like a GB
If this had a av cable i whould buy for the car
Please tell me I wasn't the only one who read that ala DankPods nano
For me I would not need a game cube emulator, like 50% of my collection is already released in other Nintendo consoles, like.
Pikmin 1 and 2, tales of phantasya, final fantasy crystal chronicles, baten kaitos 1 and origins, resident evil remake, resident evil 0, Mario sunshine, coming soon paper Mario, wind waker.
And most Mario games like smash bros, Mario kart, Mario tennis, Mario strikers, the newer switch version includes more things than the original GameCube version.
Si probably the only games lost forever are metal gear twin snakes and eternal darkness, but I have those original with my GameCube, so for me I don’t need this emulation machine.
Also that audio jacket, that’s a huge problem, you don’t even need to disconnect the cable, if you walking over a carpet, and if by chance you make a little bit of electric static in your body, when you stand up and touch the console to turn in off, there are some chance of breaking it because of the electric charge in your body.
👍👍
3:02 Simply not true. the digital video out on the GameCube can easily be converted to HDMI with a signal that is literally the same as the one used in the GC Nano (I assume, I don't know what else it would use aside from GC video because that's what people use to convert GameCube and Wii video to HDMI). There are many plug and play converters out there and they're getting cheaper and cheaper 😊
You are correct - an upscaler is unnecessary
The adapter used for the GC Nano takes digital signals straight from the Wii before they are converted to analog (component/composite/vga). When you use an external adapter such as the ones you mentioned, the Wii/GC is outputting digital signals -> converting to analog -> and the adapter converts back to digital. These are not lossless conversions. The absolute best native quality you will get on a GameCube game from official hardware is the Wii’s digital signal. Anything outside of that is upscaling, which may look nicer but isn’t always true to the native intended picture. Hope this clears some confusion
Macho macho has a great build guide video that's a great suppliment to the written build guid
I doubt the average joe in the emulation community will be able to get their hands on this. The reviewers and youtubers will get them instead til the demand from them drops enough. Oh well.
Superawesome and useless at the same time. I love tinkerers!
It's not a GameCube...... it's a Wii
Disappointed
You should be ashamed you showed off such a dirty controller 😂
Especially a WaveBird 😅
Yeah , they won’t even respond anymore.
I'm active on my Instagram, Etsy and email 👀
So this tiny lil thing plays gamecube and wii games using actuall wii components?
So you are telling me it is possible now to build a handheld Wii x Gamecube console????
the games are still being emulated though nice device still
How so? It's real hardware.
@@Xyrer I'm dumb ignore me he is using RVLoader and the games are running through nintendont which technically isn't an emulator
J
Too bad its a wii and not a gamecube. A WII IS NOT A GAMECUBE!!!
