    Thank you for sharing. I have a funny little story. Over the summer months cabbage was a ridiculous price and also-very small. Finally the price has come way down and the size is back to where it should be. So this past weekend was sauerkraut making time. Happy fermenting everyone. 😎🇨🇦

    I so enjoyed this video. I do make all three of them. and I then realized that my aching knees have not ached for quite a while an I think it is due to the kombucha. Which I started making and drinking because of you. Thank you much.

    I started drinking Kefir in late October/early November last year. And I've never felt better. That quote 'What you seek is seeking you'? So true. I laugh like a drain when I hear the anti-dairy brigade squawking and clucking and waving their arms about the evils of dairy.

    HI DONNA.. thanks for the video.. you did a nice job .. researched it all very well, and thankyou.. I have written before.. I have an update ..my update is good.. you may want to know.. I make kombucha tea and then I merged my kefir water crystals with the kombucha.tea
    I tried it . in a small container first to see if they both like each other and they did.. so I merged them both into my 5 gallon container and the first brew is in that 5 gal. then the second brew is in a 1.5 gallon container and I love it.. I think I have drank 15 gallons in the past few moths and this has become my only drink.. I drink upto 1 gallon a day sometimes...but usually 1/2 gallon a day and I love it so much
    then my veggies culture .. is also very good.. I eat them everyday also.. now.. I started a veggie culture mix with regular veggies and mix them together and that is my lunch everyday now and I love that too.. I have my daily routine and the whole story would take hundreds more words .. but I enjoy your video's and they help me alot.. my health is perfect and many people cannot believe I am 61 years old .. cause I look 40...and...I feel like I am 30...thanks God bless you keep them video's coming ..

      THANKYOU.. I wish you had a blog ... to be able to read and enjoy all the reviews of lives improved with your suggestions ..
      anyhoo..
      I want to add that I finally found a way to eat the fermented veggies in a way I like ..and turns out it tastes delicious and I eat it this way every time..& everyday..
      1/3 fermented veggies. (bell peppers,celery, carrots, brocali,turnips, ). mixed with 2/3 regular veggies .."all".. cut into bite size chunks..same veggies .
      the same veggies I ferment are the same veggies I use .. for the mix. sometimes . I add .. tomatoes, extra red bell peppers, and I add a little salad drssing (my milk kefir blended with mayo) (50/50),& seasoning spices , and add this all together into a 1 gallon container... shake it well so it mixes and I enjoy.. this over the next few days .. so delicious for me..
      I noticed after a week.. of eating the fermented veggies like this daily that.. I ahve reached a new level of healthyness I have not felt this healthy since I was 20 years old.. I this is because I consume fermented juice, fermented veggies .. every single day in fact 80% of my daily food is fernmented now .. I have some rice every day also .. anyways thanks again hope to heasr from you again.. God Bless

    Can water kefir ferment vegetables as well?

    • @CulturedFoodLife
      @CulturedFoodLife  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Water kefir wont work well for this. It doesnt ferment other things well. You can use a veggie starter culture or whey from milk kefir. OR you can also ferment with just salt and water :)

    I have question how much is to much on drinking Kefir water?

    • @CulturedFoodLife
      @CulturedFoodLife  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Michelle! I love water kefir. BUT in my personal opinion it is not as powerful as the other cultured foods (kombucha, milk or dairy free milk kefir, cultured veggies) I dont personal think you can have too many cultured foods. But I lean towards the other ones for higher amounts of probiotics. Also make sure your water kefir isn't too sweet. It is a little easier to get some sugar consumption with water kefir (vs kombucha) because of the fermentation time. So just make sure its not overly sweet :)
