    I'm a nurse and soon as you read off the symptoms the lady was admitted to the hospital for I immediately thought sepsis from some underlying infection not kombucha.

    There are several 'kombucha' brands on the shelf. Some of them taste nothing like kombucha and a lot like water.

    I'd like to know the impact that drinking kefir ( and other cultured foods ) can have on the bacteria which worsen dental cavities.

    Thank you, Beauty. My Husband...is requesting kefir now...this is a miracle. Blended with frozen mango or berries; has replaced soft serve and milkshakes. We have watched your videos and listened to the podcasts together. Blessings!

    Does Kefir curb your appetite? It sure has for my husband and i. I have had diabetes/metabolic disorder for 10 years, i have suffered with very slow digestion, chronic bloating, bad acid reflux and i never got hunger pangs or burning for years and i knew that was probably due to the diabetes. Since drinking Kefir for a couple months, the bloating has gone, the belching is gone, gastritis and acid reflux almost completely gone!!! Now im noticing hunger pangs returning, but at the same time my appetite feels curbed. Its very strange in a good way! We have now started making kombucha and fermented veggies. We love our kefir and kombucha!!!

    I just finished making ( from your recipe book) fermented celery, grapes, apples, carrots and pickles. I made a trip back to my 'home' state where they have more options ( stores) to buy things like star anise, allspice berries, and just good spices in general. I am uber excited to start eating them now on a daily basis. I have been eating ferment cabbage and beets for a couple of years, and recently ( Nov 2018) I began my journey to making and drinking Kombucha and kefir and I drink them everyday! Matter a fact, I bought a store bought bottle of what use to be my favorite brand/flavor of KT---I had not had any store bought since I began making my own. I wondered how they would pale in taste and honestly I liked my homemade much better..Not that the store bought was bad, but nope, couldn't wait to get home to my own with a new 2F ready after being gone a few days. Even as I shopped for food yesterday I have noticed my desire to buy foods that I use to 'cook' really don't entice me and I can't wait till the garden is in harvest this year to ferment as opposed to pressure canning etc...Seriously, food is our medicine and as you had once stated we have almost demonized our food with all the processing...I try to tell others all the time how much these food groups have changed my life..even my mental well being has improved immeasurably. Everyone at my job got sick from a cold and I was the only one who didn't. I started to get a sore throat but I started to down fermented foods plus their liquid as I had heard you say to do in many of your pod casts...it never got any further than the sore throat and I do share it with others at work.. No one is biting yet, but never know...just keep swimming and eventually they will hopefully see...Thank YOU!! and Cheers to good eating and drinking!!

      You are an inspiration! Not everyone is ready for cultured foods but I've found if they hang around me long enough they all come around haha! Cheers to you and good health!

    Donna can you get to much lactic acid in your system form Kefir ? I have LS and I’ve noticed if I drink about 4 cups a day it helps me. I use the Kefir starter, the starter culture, not the grains. I’m worried about to much lactic acid though.

      Hi! I do not. Probiotics usually need to be refrigerated to stay alive. So I usually just consume mine for this reason :)

    I feel more cravings on kefir

    • @CulturedFoodLife
      @CulturedFoodLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the begining if you have a lot of bad yeasts and bad bacteria to kill you can get "bad" cravings as they die off. Candida especially will create super strong cravings as it balances out/dies out. But this is a good sign and you just have to keep pushing.
