Ego, money and fame have made Slipknot become everything they used to hate and stood against. This is the real embodiment for “you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
I truly cannot believe that Corey Taylor can have 2 separate side projects, do hundreds of guest spots for other artists, put Slipknot on long hiatuses simply for himself...yet Jay, who took over the role of one of the best metal drummers of all time and grew into his own doing so, can be fired for apparently no reason. I can't imagine he did anything worse than any of those dudes have done. Slipknot isn't a brotherhood or a family. It is the Shawn Crahan and Corey Taylor show. And I certainly hope they fizzle out soon. I think their egos are far too big for the band now. Slipknot died with Paul Gray and Joey Jordison
I'm not a fan of Jay, but you made a very good point. By even Shawn's admission, Corey has been holding the band back more than any of the other members, and this could have been enough reason to let him go long ago, even with the risk of losing his trademark vocals. Cannibal Corpse also took that risk when Chris Barnes started messing up the patterns on the recordings of what came to be the Vile album and when he started holding the band back with the recording process because he was touring with Six Feet Under, and it seems that back then, Chris Barnes had a huge hand in managing the band. The label was pissed off because there was no one else that could sing like Barnes. They took the risk anyway and now Cannibal Corpse is alive and well.
Or maybe just maybe other issues similar to why he’s been kicked out of his other bands, you guys here some surface level crap and start assuming everything, can’t even wait until the truth comes out
@@ChickenJoe-tq6xdI know he didn't mesh well in Madball and Against Me, but his tenure in both bands wasn't nearly as long as Slipknot. Maybe like Joey Jordison, we'll never know why.
@@emmanuelcalderon1982was about to say the same. Jay wouldn’t last 10 years if he was the issue. He’s def not the issue. They’re dropping members like it’s hot. I also doubt it’s related to contracts and money. Jay would have said that and would have known about negotiations if that were the case. He was blindsided by a damn phone call. After ten years of dedication (according to their own statement), the band should have taken him for a steak dinner at the very least. I’m wondering who made that call. I somehow have a feeling it was done by a manager too and that nobody from the band even had the balls to make that call, let alone face him. He did not deserve to be let go like this.

THEY DID THE SAME THING TO JOEY JORDISON THEY EMAILED HIM WHILE HE WAS IN HOSPITAL FOR HIS NERVE ISSUES DISEASE, IM SORRY I FORGOT WHAT ITS CALLED, RIP LEGEND
Joey had Transverse Myelitis. He may have been doing heroine back in the day & the band might’ve been justified for doing what they did, but the band handled it pretty unprofessionally & truly weren’t there for Joey while he suffered
@@airwaydude014 no one knows for sure, but the names thrown in the pit are Jim, Chris and Sid. I honestly think it's Sid. Doesn't really matter though. Talking about brotherhood, but then being neglected by all band members but one, is pretty cruel.
I remember reading a biography of the Queen rock band. In the first years (3-6 years) of their activity, Freddie and Brian had health problems, which caused downtime in recording albums and the cancellation of performances. Brian had an ulcer, and then due to gangrene he almost lost his arm. Freddie had ligament inflammation. Then there was another long trial with Trident studio, because of which the group was barely making ends meet due to meager fees. BUT. No one thought of firing anyone, everyone stuck to each other and supported each other, they were like family till the end. What has been happening to Slipknot for the last 13 years is a clear example of how degraded humanity has become.
I've painfully come to terms with the fact that it's absolutely too easy to stop supporting slipknot as a lifelong fan of them. Nothing should of ever made it easy to lose respect for a band that got me through a lot and shaped me as a drummer. But at this point, pull the plug. It stopped being slipknot long ago.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M thank you so much. How would anyone understand a single word I said without your correction. That being said the only lesson I want from you is the one that teaches me how to get the 2 minutes of my life back it took to type this. Kick rocks
letting go of Joey Jordison was controversial as well, it is interesting that the band would speak highly of Joey in the statement about Jay's departure now that Joey is dead. However, in my humble opinion, Joey Jordison was wronged and now Jay Weinberg is being wronged as well, but Jay will rise to the occasion and I am sure he will be highly sought after.
The mention of Joey in their statement just feels so unnecessary and manipulative towards us as fans. Not just for the reasons you stated, but also because it seems as if they're actively trying to undermine Jay's contribution and impact on the band. They also know how loved Joey was, and ironically, it seems as if they brought him up in an attempt to soften the blow and overshadow the fact that they did the exact same thing to Jay that they did to Joey. I mean, I guess you could say that they at least had the balls to say something to Jay instead of him finding out via social media like Joey did, but is that really all that much better?
I don't think that they wanted to believe that he was one of the best drummers of all time and that his contributions to Slipknot helped make it better when he was there (Slipknot was Joey's baby.) I think they thought he would be replaceable and realized as time went on that was not the case, especially after seeing all of the praise from fans and drummers worldwide upon his exit from Slipknot and his passing in life and the comments when new Slipknot was released without Joey. I hate greed and disloyalty. Especially from a band that claimed they were brothers and all that each other had growing up in Des Moines, Iowa. It's painful.
@@triforcedestroyer5519 It always seemed to me that all the sadness they "showed" about Paul was fake too ( except Joey), I don't know I might be wrong but it always seemed fake and staged.

I have completely lost all respect for Shawn and Corey. Glad I got to see them from 99-06 I have seen them twice since then no where the band they were.
In the interviews with Corey recently, he's said that Shawn is in total control and he just turns up to work. could be true could be bs. plus reckons he has only a few years left in slipknot. maybe its the beginning of the end.
Corey is a little insufferable, but he at least contributes to the sound of Slipknot. I think it's 100% shawn. He has too much pull in the band and plays a part that could be deleted and you'd never know it was missing. His power vs contribution is obnoxious. His interviews are cringe. He's pushing 60 and he acts in interviews like an edgey 17 year old.
There are NINE members in Slipknot. Anyone who’s ever been in band, of the usual, 3, 4 or 5 members know how difficult it can be. But Nine members is crazy, very hard to keep everyone happy and content, and very difficult to get everyone to all agree. There could be so many things going on.
Thank you. It's nice to see someone offering a possibility that is not outright "Corey and Clown ruined Slipknot because money" (although not gonna lie, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case after all...)

After the show, Jim was outside chilling for a bit with fans while Corey immediately jumped into his big Mercedes with his entourage and took off.
@@drok17games I'm surprised Jay's lasted this long with how impossible I heard dealing with those guys privately are. They actually did Joey worse. Jay got a phone call, Joey learned that he got fired from some social media post, dude didn't even get a call. I'd consider it as a blessing to Jay, what I think is happening is Shawn's bringing in his son Simon. He's bringing his boy in to shore up his influence over the band. So I'm not even specualating on other drummers. It just seems like "I'm bringing my boy in" play on his part.
Thank you Jay for picking up the torch after Joey, and carrying it with talent , dignity, and your own style of drumming that fit , and complimented the band and its unique sound. This sucks bro. Dunno what else to say man. But thank you.
Fuck man idk how they can so easily and unceremoniously drop him. I know we don’t know all the details but Jay just doesn’t seem like the type of guy you’d go out of your way to fire considering how kind he seems and how much of a beast he is on the kit. whoever made this decision (probably clown) is gunna regret this. He wasn’t Joey but dammit he was the closest thing to Joey we could get.
Like guy above said, he’s been kicked out of a few bands, you guys here one thing and pretend you know everything, they were probably having issues with him and decided to drop him for the same reason why his other bands did, doing it like this is more respectable then coming out and telling everyone why exactly he’s being booted off
@@ChickenJoe-tq6xdso why I still don’t see you in a band? It’s not a hate but really he can play Joey’s song pretty good but you call him “easily replaceable” so you mean joey made a shit and easy songs that can be easily played even by 4yo kid?
This is why I lost interest in Slipknot around the time they fired Joey. I know Joey had health issues but he was still able to drum, but I could also see why they might have chose to let him go. But now there isn't any way people can say this isn't a pattern for them, to fire people for little to no reason just because they feel like it. Corey has seemed to have a massive ego for years now, and it's only gotten worse over the last couple of years. Sad to see.
Whatever's happening in the band, we as fans will never get the truth. "Creative differences" is basically "we can find someone who will perform for less money", followed by a middle finger. Clown and Corey, the so-called "de facto leaders" won't say more than that, and Mick, Jim, and Sid never say anything to the press anyway. V-Man won't speak up either, because he might be next, and Pfaff and the other new guy know that it's not their place to say anything. So, silence is all we'll get going forward.
Screw slipknot for the way they are behaving. Not because they fired Jay because there HAS to be a legitimate reason. personality clashes, work ethic, talent/ability fading, health are legitimate reasons to fire a band member. But firing over the phone, and not giving the fans a legitimate explanation? Corey is the one always blabbing on interviews and "telling it how it is". Where is he now? F that and F slipknot. People were raging at all those e-goth girls doing tiktok dances to Custer saying it's an insult to the song and the band. F that as well, im going to start doing my own tiktok dances to slipknot now. I'll take them as seriously as they are behaving. Like a whiny entitled pop group.😎😎 Maybe MGK was right when he basically said they are a bunch of whiny man children in masks.
As much as he isn't a founding member and I understand that, I think it's because his presence and vocals really does have a massive impact to the band. I would say that he probably is the most important member and that's not me saying the rest aren't but the sound would change too much without him
@@MHKyo1132this is all complete facts. There’s a reason they hired Corey to be the new singer. Stone sour was his actual band at the time. Then Slipknot got big he then did stone sour again. It's a shame what happened to Jay. Slipknot lost two incredible drummers. I get why they had to let Joey go. But he got emailed saying he got fired. Having said that Jay definitely has done a very awesome job of filling some very difficult shows, he has proven himself over and over again. Your right we don't know what happens behind the scenes but what seems as a strong point in Jay's tenure with the group I would hope they have a damn good reason for cutting him loose. Being in the band is a business. It looks flashy on the outside but everything that happens behind the scenes is a grind. I remember what Dino Cazares said in an interview, that you all need lawyer’s to protect yourself. It’s such a shame that happened to Jay. Handled poorly and very unprofessional by just giving him a phone call. Whatever issues that existed would have worked out if they had a meeting in person to correct them. Guess more stuff will come out eventually.
Personally I don’t think there was any issues , nothing that Jay was aware of anyway. Hence him saying the decision blindsided him. It’s just a bizarre decision to fire him. But I guarantee we will never get an answer as to why from the band. Just like we never got one as to why they got rid of Craig either

"If you're 555 then I'm....555 too". Its not about the music anymore, its about a franchise. I totally expect Shaun's son to take on drum duty for Slipknot. I remember seeing an interview a while back where they'd like the band to continue even if there were no original members left and I THINK they joked about even having their kids replace them or something. Corey's already said he might have 5 years left in him. How much you want to bet he gets HIS kid to replace him? Honestly though, I'm done with Slipknot. I couldn't even get through their last album without skipping through every song.
I only got into Slipknot a few months ago in the Summer and have listened to all their albums… and I’m kinda with ya. Their last album sucked. The only person I’d be okay with replacing Corey is if they brought Anders back. He recent did the Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat tour, after all. Would be perfectly full circle.
I've been a fan since the MFKR days and I'm usually pretty good at separating the art from the artists but these guys are really pushing it, it's not a band or a brotherhood anymore. It's just a business, if they lose anymore members they should just call it "The Clown and Corey Show featuring. Some masks you like"
I understand your allegiance to Slipknot bcuz I feel that way about Manson. He got me thru the worst times in my life & hung the moon as far as I'm concerned. I myself have LOVED Slipknot through the yrs & their shows are AMAZING! BUT... I just can't go thru this again w them. Firing Joey the way they did & how they did was bad enough but like a bad or toxic relationship & bcuz Jay was such a good replacement... I forgave them despite the animosity I still felt deep down & the pain I felt for Joey, but THIS... this is like a verbally abusive relationship that just stepped way over the line & punched me in the face! I have lost faith that our relationship could ever be the same or whole again. 1 of my ,NO...my very 1st favorite metal bands as a kid, my introduction to metal at about 12 yrs old was Metallica (Ride the Lightning) I grew up w them & branched out to other same genre bands... but Metallica always had the special place of being my 1st! I've seen them 12-15 times live & from the Black album on they became more & more "corporate-ee" more & more of a brand & commodity then the hard hitting face melting metal God's that they were, their music reflected it & I stopped listening. This is how I am starting to feel about Slipknot! We aren't "the Slipknot Fam" anymore. There was nothing broken w Jay, we LOVED him & he did a lot more than "honored" Joeys spirit & style. Cause he dared question where the touring money went. Im just happy Jeff didnt have to get put through that decision making process. RIP Jeff, and RIP Joey.

Someone in that band has become a little overzealous. Like you said, nobody knows the "behind the scenes" story, but it seems to me Jay was doing an outstanding job. Jay will continue to do well in his career. He has time now to explore. I can't wait to see where he ends up. Best of luck Jay!
A lot of us grew up listening to Slipknot, their music is a part of our childhood. And now we’re having to watch people we used to look up to, turn into the kind of musicians nobody wants to work with. It’s a shame, Jay is an insanely talented man and class act.
I’m pretty sure that I saw a post from Jay saying he was so happy to be a part of the band for 10 years (I think it was the anniversary of his joining) like a week or so before, which makes me feel even worse for him
Here's the thing: We may never know the true reasons for Jay's dismissal and there are always two sides to every story. But whoever manages Slipknot's public relations should also be fired. The social media post was unnecessarily cold to a guy who gave 10 years of his life to the band, regardless of whatever factors led to his firing. And then deleting the post because of the backlash it caused? Not a good look for the Slipknot camp.
They've done that with any announcement of lineup changes. Post goes up for a few hours, post comes down so people don't all flock to it and cause drama in the comments
A few years ago I was seriously considering kicking the guitar player out of my one man band, but luckily the singer talked me out of it, so I guess my one man band can claim that!
Jay is totally amazing and I was beyond impressed when he stepped in the big shoes and high bar that Joey J created. Jay had the stamina, skill and his attitude totally fit the band. Devastating events often have a silver lining and one day it will make sense. I can't wait to see what the future has to hold for Jay . Same for slipknot ofcourse.
This might be the best thing for his career, who knows the music he's able to put drums on now. He's free of Slipknot in one light, but is out of his dream job... that's a tough pill to swallow, keep rocking Jay 🤘
IMO Shawn's "artistic" ego and Corey's EVERYTHING ego has screwed everything up. They've corporatized their brand for their own sake's and left their former bandmates and friends, and the fans to feel robbed. .5 The Gray Chapter felt like a healthy step forward and natural evolution of their sound. There is a certain atmosphere or energy that all Slipknot records have had from the very beginning, all the way through .5. I don't know if I am alone in saying this, but it is entirely missing on WANYK and TESF. Perhaps its to do with the lack of the band being in a tough spot mentally, physically, or financially and being able to channel that into their music. I am not saying that they should put themselves in said position. But I believe if keen-eared fans are able to pick up on this, then the band should too and not release half-assed music that's made to bring in more checks. Its not about being less heavy than before. For example: Snuff, Vermillion pt 2, XIX, and Goodbye all have that essential Slipknot mystique, vibe, spirit, what-have-you... Not heavy sonically, but resonate and move something in you in a dark and somber way. Even through the chaos of People = Shit, Disasterpiece, Eyeless, (insert any ridiculously heavy and chaotic track from their first 2 albums), the underlying "Slipknot" SPIRIT remains. Completely gone from every track on WANYK and TESF. My second point is the firing of Jim Root from Stone Sour. How are you going to tell me that Corey had issues with Jim in Stone Sour, but is okay and buddies with him in Slipknot. The group feels like it is being held together by a symbiotic transactional relationship in the form of a paycheck. Its a sad existence that the band has become. Countless listens on all Slipknot records including MFKR, but only 2 for WANYK and one painful listen to TESF. I am sorry for the long winded comment but it was something I have had inside for a long time and this is the perfect place to put it. Last thing: Please tell me I am not alone in this feeling.
Some of what you said I agree with but I don’t get how you are this down on We are not your kind. That album kicked ass and def has that spirit still in the music, Birth of the Cruel, Nero Forte, Red Flag, Solway Firth, A Liars Funeral, Not Long for this World. I’m sorry I can’t co-sign that at all I really like that album. TESF wasn’t great but def can tell it wasn’t baked as long as it should’ve been. Also Jim himself said He and Corey got closer again after he left stone sour (again idk if Corey really was the one who fired him cause Jim also said his attitude at the time likely didn’t help a lot of things)
Remember when Jay was first hired, Shawn was asked if he'd ever be an equal member and answered something to the effect of "never?" That about sums up the way the new guys will always be treated. They are nothing more than glorified expendable employees. The "band" is just an illusion at this point, it's a business and there's always another guy who will do the job for less. They suck the creative ideas out of them and move on to the next one.
Yeah, I'm a drummer and a big Jordison fan and I was always extremely impressed with Jay. This is a big loss that was done in a cold and disgusting way. Hard to find any excuse to behave that way towards someone a decade on in the band. I've been pretty disinterested in their new music for a long time but damn.
I am gonna go ahead and say that Jay…knows just as much as we do. Simply put, Slipknot is a theatrical band and operates as a business. Clown (Shawn) is the head of the business and decides most of the decisions and choices for the band. I would not be surprised if none of the band members (except Clown) knew about the Hive Mind music video until it was released. Many of the members (Such as Corey and even Jim I believe), have stated that Slipknot is more of a job that they clock in and out of. When they clock out, they go home and rest. I believe Corey has even went on saying that Slipknot is Clowns baby and his thing and that he and clown have barely really communicated to each other for a year or two. That’s what Slipknot is, it is Clowns project. It is his baby. With all of that said, I would not be surprised if Jay knows just as much as we do, and does not know why he is out of the band.
This reminds me of what happened with Mushroomhead several years back when they went through a bunch of sudden lineup changes and former members saying it was due to one founding member, and to a lesser extent his second in command, holding all the power. So some mushroomhead fan' is gonna say Slipknot copied them again
This is sad! So damn cold! Fuck the band, I'm following whatever project he goes to next. It's not like he couldn't play or that he wasn't working hard enough to warrant just getting dropped like that. I can't respect a band that is willing to do that to someone.
I was so pissed when I found out about Jay not being apart of slipknot anymore. So happy I got to see him play at download this year. Hopefully you create your own or become a new mamber in other band. ❤️❤️🔥🔥
Unfortunately,if Simon crahan joins slipknot it’s a shit move getting rid of a perfectly good drummer just so you could get your son in and griffin Taylor even said he wanted to start something different with Simon so I don’t think that’s gonna happen
Ngl I cannot feel that bad for Jay considering him leaving his prev band the same way. He just left saying nothing trading them for Slipknot. He got what he deserved
Maggot since I was 10, I’m 33! Very sad to see Slipknot dissolve Corey and clown seem to be removing everyone. It will be disgusting when Sid, mick and Jim are kicked like what they did to Chris, Craig and now jay!
At this point I want jim, mick and sid to leave, collect the other members and create a new band called “untied” or “origi-knot” just to spite Corey and Clown. I mean, we’re almost there right? U can get Anders the og singer, Chris, Craig and Jay.
Jay, don't forget the past, but always move forward. I would give all I got to have a talented drummer such as yourself behind a kit in my band! Good luck my friend. Sean Black, Follie Sperlocke & the Bloomchild Blues Band.
You know slipknot has been my all time favorite band since I was 11 and I am 33 now, I can't believe the shit they keep doing though. Good luck finding a drummer who can match Jay's skills ☠️

If he had no idea that this was coming then that is really messed up. It means the rest of the band was two facing him and being cool to his face while plotting the end of his career. That is not how a band is supposed to work. You know, family, brotherhood, Communication? This sounds more like a cutthroat business decision. Whats weird is this happens with all bands with a costume gimmick. Mushroomhead and Ghost are good examples of revolving door bands.
This breaks my heart 💔 I think jay was the closest we can get to joey.... Joey can never ever be replaced but Joey did a fantastic job and was a maggot just like the rest of us he grew up to listening to Slipknot he will be missed. I don't like how I feel about how slipknot is turning out to be. I am a maggot for life but what's going on with the band feels like a big part of what the band stood for is diminishing. Jay was the best thing to happen after joey left. joey is irreplaceable but jay took the challenge and gave his all.
I love how people are only now saying "hey, something is up..." Buddy if these alarms didn't go off as soon as Chris was gone, hell since Joey was gone because of how it was handled, even with the substance abuse in mind, I don't know what to tell you.

That's just sh*tty. He, or fans, may agree or disagree with it and that's fine but there should be no confusion over it. The guy should have the respect of clarity.
I always knew that band was done. It was obvious when Gray died and the other members leaving or being fired. Cory don’t give a damn about anybody but his own fame.
@@triforcedestroyer5519nah they definitely were not "always about the money", they became that way within the last 10 to 15 years. Their first 10 years as a band was pure passion, but around All Hope Is Gone was the point where it became more money focused then passion imo.

I used to be a HUGE Slipknot fan from ages 11-21 (I’m 34 now). After Paul died things weren’t the same and my musical taste was evolving at the same time so I stopped being a fan. Even though I haven’t been a fan for quite some time - the way they fired Joey during his time of need, the way they fired Chris, and now this - very disappointing and SlipKnoT has become everything they used to talk shit about. Extremely selfish, cold, and only about the bottom line. Gross.
Absolutely. I mean, there are still plenty of people who would take the gig if offered, but they at least know now that they are entering into a band too cowardly to have a face-to-face convo when it comes to changes. What they did to Jay is one thing, but the way they did it is classless cowardice.

It makes no sense. Im already becoming bitter toward the rest of the band. We lost Craig and Jay in the same fuckin’ year.
People are mentioning Mangini as a joke because he was let go from Dream Theater. There’s no way he could play those parts. At least not with any proper conviction
3:40 I don’t know what the hell is going on with Slipknot, but I have lost a lot of respect for Clown and Corey. To me it seems they are replacing original members with their own buddies. They treated Joey the same way remember? He found out he was no longer in the band through an email!? If Slipknot are referring to their latest album as evolving creatively then the lost me as a fan. These will soon be enough former Slipknot members to start their own band. I stand on Jay’s side in this.
Also when Paul had his addiction, his wife reached out to the band and they said it wasn’t their problem. Plus, speaking of Joey, when he was in hospital diagnosed with his disease, only one band member or “brother” came to visit.

Well said.
They took the risk anyway and now Cannibal Corpse is alive and well.

letting go of Joey Jordison was controversial as well, it is interesting that the band would speak highly of Joey in the statement about Jay's departure now that Joey is dead.

I still can't get over how Corey is, legally anyway, considered a "founding member". Buddy, that was Shawn, Paul, and Joey. And they ALL know that.
Screw slipknot for the way they are behaving. Not because they fired Jay because there HAS to be a legitimate reason. personality clashes, work ethic, talent/ability fading, health are legitimate reasons to fire a band member. Not only does everyone love and respect Jay but everyone also loves his dad.

Been a drummer for 30 years , I've been let go plenty of times. Most of those bands rarely move forward as the should. The reasons maybe , fritters are the only one to not play a stringed instrument. Drummers are alone till they are gone . Joey was the beginning and the end.
It's just a business, if they lose anymore members they should just call it

This just feels so wrong of them, they not only broke Jays heart but mine too & I can see I'm far from alone in this opinion. BOOOOOO Corey & Clown! BOO! BOO! BOOOOO!

Cause he dared question where the touring money went. Im just happy Jeff didnt have to get put through that decision making process. RIP Jeff, and RIP Joey.
If I remember correctly, Lombardo was literally getting $300 a night to play. He tells that story on youtube somewhere, it is the most insane thing I have ever heard.

Jay was dope gonna miss him
Awesome. Saw him with the band last year 🔥🔥🔥 They did him real dirty. Best of luck to him.
I wonder how they treated him at his last show knowing that they were going to fire him two days later. Smh
This is why I respect Limp Bizkit

What other metal band can claim that
A few years ago I was seriously considering kicking the guitar player out of my one man band, but luckily the singer talked me out of it, so I guess my one man band can claim that!

2) System of a Down. But no music so what does it really Change for us?

Jay is totally amazing and I was beyond impressed when he stepped in the big shoes and high bar that Joey J created. Jay had the stamina, skill and his attitude totally fit the band.
Devastating events often have a silver lining and one day it will make sense. I can't wait to see what the future has to hold for Jay . Same for slipknot ofcourse.

Sometimes rejection is protection. Wishing Jay the best! Rock on!!!🤘
Who would have thought that ultimately, the mask that Shawn wears would be exactly what he became..? 😞
me
This might be the best thing for his career, who knows the music he's able to put drums on now.
Jay was the closest thing to Joe that I've seen. He had that same style and look it's a shame that he's not with them anymore
Acording to his own words, Jay knew as much as the fans. He got phone call and that was it.
Membership changes??? Dude members have been straight up dying. Slipknot is going the way of KISS. Vegas residency at The Sphere when?
This reminds me of what happened with Mushroomhead several years back when they went through a bunch of sudden lineup changes and former members saying it was due to one founding member, and to a lesser extent his second in command, holding all the power. So some mushroomhead fan' is gonna say Slipknot copied them again
This is sad! So damn cold! Fuck the band, I'm following whatever project he goes to next. It's not like he couldn't play or that he wasn't working hard enough to warrant just getting dropped like that. I can't respect a band that is willing to do that to someone.
The last Slipknot album I bought was .5 the Grey Chapter. And it will remain the last album I ever buy from this band.
Thats what nepotism is, and anyone with power seems to exploit it.
