I think it says a lot that I've never really heard Joey, at least recently as far as I know, say anything negative about anyone or anything. Especially Slipknot. He always speaks very highly of everyone, even though he has reason to do the opposite. Says a lot about his character and just who he is in general. While I don't him personally, he seems like an incredible humble, kind, respectful person. More people need to be like that...just kind, decent human beings. If anything, he's just shy and awkward in situations like this, which to be fair...a lot of us are, and he's definitely an introvert. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's easy to say things behind a screen about someone we don't even know. Reminder that Joey is human. He's been through a lot, just like a lot of us. He may not be at his prime anymore, but he's still kicking and honestly looking good all things concerned with medication. He seems happy. He seems at ease and at peace with what has happened. I admire and respect the absolute hell out of this dude. He could have an ego...but he doesn't. Just listen to what he says and how he says it. He's just really, really, really passionate. Above all...he loves the absolute hell out of his fans and supporters and does all he can to give back to them and is always around whenever he's touring. I've even heard of him stopping, chatting, and taking photos with fans even when he's out and about not on tour or anything to do with it. He doesn't care. He'll give you his undivided attention. He's a dope guy. He really is. That's all I'm saying. I hate reading all the negative shit about him, especially on aspects of his appearance. Just stop. There's no need for that...give the guy a break.
I love this comment so much! Exactly how I feel about Joey. My heart is broken because of his passing, which I still can't really process.. I've been thinking a lot about him recently and how much of an inspiration he is, first and foremost because of his decency and the respect he had for everyone, despite having been treated with utter disrespect in the past. My heart hurts when I watch some of his interviews; I know he has said that he was able to move on with his life after being fired from Slipknot, but sometimes you could just tell that he was still deeply hurt by how everything went down. Just hope that he can find his peace, he deserves it so much.
People, respect that he has changed physically. He went through really hard times with his illness and gained weight. That added to his age, it makes him change. No one remains the same forever, especially when you are sick.
xBaphometHx I don’t know anything about his conditions but working in medicine my first thought was the puffiness of his face looks like steroids (the medication, not like gym steroids) That’s illness, not “fat”. Steroids make everyone gain weight, besides making you hungry they hold water weight in your body.
@@colemarie9262 I have seen this comment now, but you are right. He seems to have needed a lot of cortisone to relieve the inflammation from his transverse myelitis.
I’ve got nothing against him, personally. No hate here. I just don’t like like his drumming (far too many quads for my taste). Seems like a nice enough guy, though... I’ve been playing drums since 1977, and have performed in 11 countries on 6 continents. I shared the same drum teacher as Carmine and Vinny Appice. It’s always struck me as bizarre how some fans hate an artist as a person just because they don’t like the artist’s music or playing style. Go figya.
RIP Joey. What’s really heartbreaking in this interview is that you can tell that he misses Slipknot. He had such a genuine passion for the music and the fans that very few musicians have. Never forgotten
Joey is such an awesome drummer. I've seen him without his mask several times before, but there was always something about his mask that made me subconsciously think it was what he looked like. I mean out of all the members of Slipknot his mask was the most "natural" one. I'm talking ofc of the time before they revealed themselves, I must have been in Junior High back then.
This may sound stupid, but when he introduced himself I actually thought he was gone say “Hey everybody, my name is Joey Jordison from the band Vimic and also the band Slipknot and you’re watching Loudwire.” You can tell he misses being in Slipknot Edit: Now that the most depressing news possible has come out, this video hits different
I rarely get affected when a famous person dies, but Joey's passing left me genuinely heartbroken. He was a legend and came across as such a kind and genuine guy. RIP Joey, there'll be no other like you

I remember someone coming up to him telling him it was almost time to go because he needed to prepare for the show. He asked how many people are left, and got the answer that there's still a few people wrapped around the corner of the store. He said, once I get to every fan then we can leave.
It’s incredible I cried reading this. It’s 100% on point, I think just like this. Rip legend 🤘
People, respect that he has changed physically. He went through really hard times with his illness and gained weight. That added to his age, it makes him change. No one remains the same forever, especially when you are sick.
xBaphometHx I don’t know anything about his conditions but working in medicine my first thought was the puffiness of his face looks like steroids (the medication, not like gym steroids)
That’s illness, not “fat”. Steroids make everyone gain weight, besides making you hungry they hold water weight in your body.
@@colemarie9262 I have seen this comment now, but you are right. He seems to have needed a lot of cortisone to relieve the inflammation from his transverse myelitis.
Rest easy. The drummer that needed a muscle disease to postpone his drumming.
Transverse myelitis is an inflammation of the spinal cord, dingus, not a muscle disease. Learn your shit.
@@looksirdroids9134 Cat pissed in your bowl of cereal this morning?
@@Aaron-ke2yp and dog took a shite too

I don't don't know why people give him shit, he seems like a chilled humble fella.
TheRoadToFame he’s chilled because he’s all partied out for life haha
He's one of the most friendly humans I ever met, all of the members of his bands are amazing humans...
Go figya.
one specific track from Iowa will give you the answer
@@Fel1xF7W what do you mean?
I like how he didnt mention Slipknot in the start
he got kicked out, he is a past member of Slipknot
Wheelwood he doesn't need to
Wheelwood Why would he? He's not been with them for quite a few years.
Why would he? He's not part of them anymore.
Just realised I said the exact same thing as the guy before me haha.
MARTIN KARLSSON good post
RIP Joey
This may sound stupid, but when he introduced himself I actually thought he was gone say “Hey everybody, my name is Joey Jordison from the band Vimic and also the band Slipknot and you’re watching Loudwire.” You can tell he misses being in Slipknot
Edit: Now that the most depressing news possible has come out, this video hits different
I rarely get affected when a famous person dies, but Joey's passing left me genuinely heartbroken. He was a legend and came across as such a kind and genuine guy. RIP Joey, there'll be no other like you
Man I know he may look a little bigger and whatever, but Joey is just so down to earth and seems like a kick ass guy to sit down and talk to. Thanks so much Loudwire!
"Aww kick ass" --cartman, south park. 1997
Also very nice comment. Just thought to put a random qoute.
From the interviews ive watched, most of slipknot or former members are humble and down to earth, i havent watched any interviews of other ones
Who gives a f*** with the man looks lik!!!! would you posers please get over that
It still breaks my heart to not hear him say he's from slipknot...
He was good for a scene drummer but not for pro level
@@unknownkingdom what are you talking about?!! he is the definition of pro level

He was so humble and helped forge this interview . A rock star without the ego. Such a great person . I’ve never seen a more grateful human given his stature
I can't believe he's not with us anymore. Rest easy, superball.
Rest in peace man, you will always be remembered not only as a musician, but mostly as an amazing person. We will miss you Joey
Watching videos of Joey and crying. Life is unfair.
So repeat this line,
Everything, everything is fine
Same. Can’t believe he’s gone.
Such a talented musician, I truly hope he’s in a better place now, he didn’t deserve the bad things that happened to him, he’s genuinely such a nice and down to earth person, I don’t understand how anyone could not like him, amazing guy, may he rest in peace 💕
I'm crying. What sweet of a Guy. Deep down he was still sad for how things turned out. Did Corey and Shawn boot him because they thought he was on drugs? Are you freaking kidding me? That's adding insult to injury. You can still tell on this interview Slipknot is still part of him. I'm deeply sad. Rest in peace brother.
I honestly haven't seen slipknot the same since I found out why they fired Joey. It's so fucked up. Poor Joey, he really loved that band. He will always be remembered as one of the best drummers of all time
I really disappointed in how Corey and Shawn handed it. I have family members who suffer from neurological conditions and because of how it effects thier body people do think that they are tweaking on a drug when in reality the condition is not thier fault. Sad to see
@@metalmassacre3144 same, also how they dumped him, like he was the one ditching them, and then never saying anything like "we where wrong and we regrett it" as publicly... nah
Like sure, I'm all for handling shit in private, but public humiliation kinda needs a public apology.
And after all of that ,i still can't believe he is no longer with us...RIP Joey 💔🙏
Crazy that he was gone just three years later. RIP legend!
...
Joey was a huge influence to me. He got me into drumming, and I'm glad he was able to overcome his illness. He's been through alot physically and emotionally, not being able to do what you love must have been torture. Glad he's back and doing music again.
This hurts man. Rest In Peace Joey…
RIP Joey… one of the best drummers and people out there
Joey jordison is how I got into Slipknot, which got me into metal
@bullsi20 I don't think so. Joey's drumming on the early albums is legendary.
Im so sad ive just been watching joey videos for like 40 minutes now. i cant get over it. rest in peace Joey
RIP Joey. I’m still in a complete state of shock and disbelief that you’re gone.

I respectfully disagree
Slipknot does not have to be the same.. Bands change, people change. Get over it.

I’m watching these videos of Joey… and it hurts, but I also get a sense of comfort seeing him talk and just be his amazing sweet self and it’s beautiful to see. i can't even wrap my head around the fact that he's really gone. it doesn't even feel real. it's only been a few days and i never even met him but i already miss him so much. rest easy, joey! ❤️
I was working at GC Hollywood when he came in for a fan signing before a Slipknot show. I was standing near him to keep people on check along with his security guards and what I assume was a runner. I remember someone coming up to him telling him it was almost time to go because he needed to prepare for the show. He asked how many people are left, and got the answer that there's still a few people wrapped around the corner of the store. He said, once I get to every fan then we can leave. Great dude and very friendly
I'm so devastated by this news and I hope nothing but the best for his family and friends. Rest in piece Joey you were a beast.
Wow. Rest In Peace Joey. I can't believe your gone. Rock on man.
Joey being one of the most well known drummers in modern rock, he is extremely down to earth and polite. Have to respect him for staying humble.

R.I.P Joey Jordison. You will always be remembered, we love you man. I hope your up there rocking out with Paul. Say Hi to him for us.
I love how he gives the band credit for using the name “slipknot “ and not jus taking credit for him self for people thinking he came up with the name . Suck a loyal guy .

Stop commenting about his weight! So what if he's overweight? Paul (
Its because he used to be skinny but the thing is its like

I can't say I really know Joey since I have tons of things to learn about him. Yet, I can tell how humble, well spoken and talented this man is.
