Ghost is great, but I would still love a infamous game on ps5, I would love a alternate ending game, taking place in another universe after the evil ending of infamous 2,after all the original plan was to follow that ending.

you said that the story should have some more "human" characters as in characters that are not a conduit or conduit positive. this got me thinking "what if we had a bounty hunter type of character who knows how conduits work based on his observation and experiences. using this character idea (plus the story you've set up) I have come with what I think is an interesting character.
Throwing some criteria into a random name generator (aka male name) I have a character by the name of David Cage, a man who makes it clear that he has a vendetta against conduits. His interests, before the beast existed, he was interested in building new technologies specifically ones to be used during war. he developed things that would increase firepower, mobility, defenses and things along that nature.
.David was a good hour or two out of town with his friends when the beast decided to bring the party to his hometown. Upon returning home, he finds that his girlfriend (the two were looking into getting married might I add) is a conduit. they both have heard about what conduits do, specifically they know about the lies the government have spread about conduits. his girlfriend tries to live on being a conduit but between her feelings of being a monster, fear of what she may do, how it may affect her future, etc. his girlfriend decides to end herself to protect those she cares about and to end the feelings of being subhuman.
her death prompted gave David the hatred he feels for some conduits. he understands that not all conduits are evil, possibly better than anyone else besides Zeke himself. he blames the beast for taking away what was most likely his future, and someone he cares about. David makes it a point to take down conduits who are evil. He goes after the evil ones. he doesn't hate conduits like Eugene, Cole, and Delsin (good) but hates conduits like John (beast) and Delsin (evil) but isn't sure on how he feels about Fetch, Delsin (neutral), and Augustine.
being a conduit hunter of sorts, David developed his own technology that allows him to be a deadly opponent. David uses technology to keep him mobile in order to keep up with the mobility that conduits possess. he keeps tabs on most conduits he meets making notes on what power they have and tries to set up ways to outsmart his enemies. for example, if he were to fight Cole (not a chance though) he would figure out ways to lead Cole into an area filled with water.
long story short, he has experience with the good and bad of conduits to know that not every conduit is evil, he has the mobility, firepower, and brains to take on conduits, believes that conduits should have the same rights as normal people until they use their ability in a way that wouldn't be covered under self defense, and could be fleshed out character that many people could find interesting.
Now, this character was one that took me about ten minutes to think about and as someone who has created characters for stories, that was too quick to do much of anything and iron out any contradictions in the character.
using this setup we could have this guy as either an ally or an enemy might I add
I like your idea for the most part, but I think for fitting into my story these changes would be best: He was a high-class criminal who decided to become a vigilante who kills conduits. He found out about the First Sons and stole some of their technology which he further modified. He believes he is doing good for the world so there is still moral grey. My reasoning for this is we already have 2 joinable sides and this guy could be another antagonist on either side and the only character yet with an absolute hate for conduits. I think your idea makes him a little too similar to Dr. Adam without powers. Stay tuned for the rest of my story in part 2.

coolio, like I said, I came up with the character in roughly ten minutes. If one throws a character which took ten minutes to make into any story, it is by default a red flag

tbh a new marias dlc would be pretty interesting, maybe it could be a place where conduits are actually treated well and that the citizens don't support the DUP because of the opperstion they do to conduits and that the citizens would not believe that cause of what cole did, maybe it could be a place where delsin could get more powers, maybe you could visit cole's grave and see the amp, but hey if only that dream be true

you argued thar Second Son has a 'weak' - morality system and nothing more than, and while yes it does seem like that at 1st glance, the whole point of this system is supposed to reimagine the allegorical and paradoxical nature of a Human-made concept such as 'morality' - which inFAMOUS labels it as a 'Karma' system, but the point still lies, however Sucker Punch does have a certain bias to which makes it seem like their system is surface-level at best, to which many many ppl who played inFAMOUS have a false perception that doesn't actually align the problems with the Karma system, and that is Sucker Punch's tendency of utilising their writing for the Evil Karma in all of their mainlined inFAMOUS games...
the only one that handles the dilemma of the system to the core is the 1st game, but it still shares its issues that the game series relies on with its Karma system, but despite this...
the whole Karma system can be argued to go against the illogical fallacies that ppl hold when playing 'Good karma' which is played for the sake of it compared to Evil karma where majority of ppl who played the inFAMOUS games will have, so to get to the point - the system holds a subset towards and within the Human Genome of illogical fallacies that has been spewed in towards the Modern Ideological Dogma of setting a social standard for and against the generalisations of the 'Human' existence by setting a karma system that seems Black and White as in it being 'Surface level' - then having a subset of fellow humans playing the game and determining the nature of the Human existence by presenting the Karma system which falls in lines with the Modern Ideological Dogma of setting concepts to a altered social accepted standard of what a Human being is supposed to be as and how a Human should be as...
so the nature of the Karma system plays a juxtaposition to this Dogmatic stance, and that it plays a allegorical and paradoxical stance of Human nature in actuality...
i think it would be pretty cool if they had different options, like you could either create your own character or play as delsin, kind of like mass effect. what if there was two player co-op available and they made the story around two conduits? you can choose your powers, (water, pyro, cryokinesis, teleportation, energy manipulation, etc. and they have subtypes for the powers. infamous is an amazing series and i am so excited to see where it goes.

these theories sound cool and all but I honestly just hope that the conduit racism storylines just stop, because they're starting to get a bit boring and played out.
NxtGenGamer 4000 They had already done them with Cole, so I was expecting a different storyline in Second Son. It's good that they used that in their plot before, but as you said, they've overused it.
I felt like they were just starting to build on the conduit racism, i thought it made for some good gameplay. In the first and second people just didnt know what to think of conduits. Second Son is where they really classified conduits as "bio-terrorists". However, I might agree that they dont have a lot else to work with.
NxtGenGamer 4000 in the 1st and 2nd game people didn't pay much attention to conduits because they didn't know much about them and they didn't know what to think of them the conduit racism started in second son

NxtGenGamer 4000 it’s an important theme to the franchise, they shouldn’t stop and if anything I think things should come to a head and ramp up, Delsin comes in and gets a new power before Celia comes in and gets the conduits to start going after racists, it just makes sense to me as a thematic evolution

I hate it when people say Delsin's an unlikeable character or a bad character. Delsin felt human much more than Fetch, He was just a kid who didn't know what he was going to do with his life. Which brought him to his crimes which made him feel him matter in his community. The point is he was an outsider. So when Reggie said "You think this would make our parents proud" He was frustrated and annoyed because he knew he isn't making his parents proud. People hate on Delsin just because it either isn't Cole or they didn't understand his ark in the game. I also have the utmost hate for the people who say "CoLe WaS sO MuCH beTTeR tHaN dElSIN" I mean Cole wasn't even that great he was a decent character but his entire personality was being the hero when Delsin was a mix of the two he had multiple traits that could relate him to hero of villain. Also Delsin had such better writing and Troy Baker did such an amazing job. To all you infamous gate keepers I fucking hate you
Preach man preach I hate this whole if you don't like Cole them you're not a true Infamous fan bandwagon just because I prefer Delsin as a character over Cole doesn't mean I completely hate him as a character I just find him boring and uninteresting I like characters like Delsin a loser who goes from zero to hero unlike Cole who is a generic I have everything together already protagonist then oh I got super powers now my life is now complicated and all wrong boring as heck plus Cole is a bruting tough guy Delsin is a cocky immature asshole with a heart of gold and he truly does love his brother Reggie and his friends Betty Fetch and Eugene he funny at times and doesn't start liking his powers in fact he gets scared and insecure because all he's ever known about conduits is they're evil and dangerous so when he learns he is a conduit he gets scared but overtime he starts to accept his powers and if you go with the good story which I do everytime he becomes a more competent and mature hero who continues to honor his older brother's memory. Speaking of his brother Reggie goes through a character arc he starts off seeing conduits as evil and dangerous but through his brother's good deeds he begins to see that conduits are just as human as the non conduits and that not all of them are bad plus Augustine is both a pure evil and sympathetic antagonist as all she wants is for conduits like her to be safe from hatred but she started to become diselutioned to her primary goal and became the very thing she swore to prevent by Second Son we see just how delusional she has become and while she had good intentions she grew delusional and corrupt thankfully she was stopped by Delsin Fetch and Eugene and Seattle is freed from her tyranny and the D.U.P slowly disbanded. I enjoyed Infamous Second Son and First Light and I can't wait to see if Infamous 4 will continue Delsin's story.

Can't believe to understand that people can't muster the brain cells to understand the games story, Delsin is such a great protagonist and people are so blinded by nostalgia its crazy. Cole is bare bones as a protagonist and a character he doesn't have any true reason to become a antagonist he just does it for the sake of surviving or just being evil and I will admit the karma is so much better in InFamous 2 and has better choices but again Cole has no true purpose to be evil or good. But with Delsin its the complete opposite, He's a criminal and lowlife he commits these crimes to be noticed and to be seen like he matters in his community in reality he's just a neglected kid. He's like this because he's lost his parents and most likely feels he has been left because of Reggie getting all this attention and being seen as this amazing guy who's the sheriff and protects people, Hell what makes that even more believable is that his brother has a massive bill board dedicated to him. So really for Delsin his reasons for becoming a hero or villain are: the world rejected and hurt me I'm going to make this world a better place or The world rejected me and hurt me by killing my parents I'm going to get my revenge. Delsin's character can really go anywhere in the story has reasons to be hero who saves the people of seattle and as well as the conduits and their of being super powered criminals. Delsin's character again can go just about anywhere he has layers to him which makes him better than Cole. Cole doesn't have to much to him I've never played InFamous 1 or 2 but I've watched all I need to know about him and for me he just doesn't compare to Delsin
@@finaal_4201 same man Cole is badass and cool but while he is arguably more powerful then Delsin due to experience his personality is a bit weaker and not as relatable but bland personality doesn't equal bad character and Cole is far from bad he's just your generic good guy to some people Infamous 1 and 2 are great games all Infamous games are Infamous 1 is the weakest because it was the start of the series and it was still finding it's footing . Both Delsin and Cole are good characters hopefully everyone can agree on that and nostalgia is a tough thing to get over as when a game is your childhood you have a strong attachment to it but some people take their nostalgia and shove it down other's throats.

Cole isn't a terrible character I just think his character is pale in comparison to Delsin because of how bland he his and personally he's really only great because of his bad ass moments, but he is not a bad character and he has great moments like when he sacrifices himself in InFamous 2 but Delsin is a far more relatable,fun and good character.
@@finaal_4201 yeah Cole never truly defeated the beast he only did because he distracted him long enough to use the bomb and destroy all conduits Cole is not the beast's equal and neither is Delsin. Delsin has faced off against a powerful military level army and defeated arguably the most powerful conduit of his time Augustine twice actually defeated Hank Eugene and Fetch despite having little experience Delsin is the emboidment of a jack of all trades and a master of none as he himself says he's a walking power sponge who can absorb almost any conduit's power except the beast because well it's the beast.

Probably a 50/50 chance that their next game is gonna be a new Infamous game. It should be noted that the upcoming Kojima game, Death Stranding, is using a modified version of the game engine used in Second Son.
Interesting. I think it's a 99/1 chance. And I would love it if Kojima wrote this game's story as a side project while making Death Stranding.

One thing I would want in a new infamous game could seek tell Delson stories about what he and Cole did in infamous 1 and 2 and it would change to a narrated gameplay segment when you play as cole
I hope the side missions are more like Infamous 1/2, not like destroying hidden cameras or spraying graffiti. I liked interacting with the citizenry.

this is great, but i really think they should continue with the original idea of the third game being part of the evil ending of infamous 2. this would make sense story wise for conduits beings alive, which is a pretty big deal. plus it can still work. possibly playing as a new character where you join or face cole. being the evil ending is the canon storyline that the developers originally went for should still happen. the game itself has time travel and different times lines introduced in the first game. which is something more that could be explored even exploring both storylines or second son and the other. Even parts of the first 2 games do make it out that the evil ending is the proper ending even the title speaks for itself.
They need to make a game about Eugene. It should start off by him being at school and all the cutscenes when he gets mad and takes the demon out of him damn it would be awesome

Yukio I I want to see Cole be the antagonist in an inFAMOUS game based of of the bad ending of 2. I guess you could make the argument that that already happened with Kessler and the Beast but I think since Cole now has the power of both his own and the Beast he could be an even bigger threat.
Well in infamous to they let u continue after the good or bad ending of infamous 1. If you choose to continue after it. They could do the same thing here.

Let's face it. It's 2021 and infamous was released in 2014 I don't think there making another infamous. As much as we all love the series I hate to say it but I doubt they would make another one. Although if they did I think the game and story should be played out like this video explains it would put more Dept into the game. I would love to see it and possibly even an infamous pre-qual or a remastered version of infamous 1 and 2 for the ps5. Suckerpunch if u see this please please we are all begging for another game.

I truly really like Infamous Second Son. It's my favorite Infamous game to be completely honest. Maybe cause it was my first, but second son is just phenomenal to me
I think having the main bad guy for Infamous, Second Age be a guy named Jame/Alexander/Andrew/Edward Addams, with a weak absolute telekinesis ability would be awesome, and it could also be symbolic too, depending on his character and ideology. Maybe since he doesn't require a specific resource to activate his powers, he hides his conduit status from the government, paying lipservice to dealing with the "bioterrorist problem", while secretly plotting to induce a second "ray sphere plague", awakening dormant Conduits to their powers while boosting the powers of those already awakened despite the Ray Field Inhibitor's lingering effects, and wiping out the mormal humans, who he sees as inferior lifeforms, maybe due to pursecution and a few near death experiences at an early age. Yes, it's been done before (ala Magneto from the X-men, or all X-men mutants for that matter), but so long as it's done well, i don't think it matters.
What if in the new infamous game the ask what ending you got
So the beginning of the game lets you choose what ending from the last game it will continue from? I hope so. Then every ending is canon i guess.

The war between Humans and Conduits that you made is not gray enough. Every player thinks the humans are easily in the wrong, so to make the story more gray how about having a conduit who thinks he’s a god. He will go around doing whatever he wants, destroying everything around him, because he can. Knowing that now one can stop him.
So I'm on the bring Cole back band wagon and since you said the R.F.I could broken or just didn't work and Cole was a pretty powerful conduit so could that mean there could be a possibility that Cole survived? Maybe he isn't as strong anymore or is crippled and is slowly healing so he's in hiding. This was just a desperate theory I thought of honestly but I can still hope I guess.

I'd like Sasha from the first inFAMOUS game to return. She's the only main character from the first game that hasn't been accounted for. What if she is being held at Curdon Cay for her power over tar and mind control?
I understand that people want Cole to return. They can bring him back by remastering the first game and adding an epilogue to it that covers the events of the inFAMOUS DC comics. I don't think a lot of fans have read them. I've only read the summaries online. They could also bring him back if they did a game that took place after 2's evil ending.
Further more, (sorry if I end up posting a lot of comments. I'm just brain storming as I watch) is it possible that Augustine took advantage of the NSA/First Sons partnership? She got ahold of Dr. Wolfe's and Kessler's notes. Perhaps she saw what they were trying to accomplish by creating "an army of people like Cole". And she wanted to see it out. I'm just rambling now...
That ties into a plot twist in part 2, so you'll see.

Oh Just a few more suggestions. Wouldn't it be cool if Delsin had new powers like: Telekinesis, Chronokenesis(the ability to manipulate time) or make give him Molecular munipulation abilities like Doctor Manhatten but without the whole growing bigger thing.
Infamous after second son begins with cole returning from the dead. Everyone rejoices and some are confused. However, it's not good cole but evil cole as the beast from a seperate timeline. Delsin goes toe to toe with evil cole as the beast but also fighting conduits from another timeline. Evil Coles plan is to conquer timelines and expand his territory. Beast cole is not content with controlling one world but multiple. Infamous multiverse or crisis. This will be Delsins biggest challenge, but will he join the beast and help destroy timelines or use the power of time travel to destroy the Beast (Cole Macgrath)
it would be cool if they had a power unlocking system like Knack did where some blast shards have a little bit of neon in them and after enough you get neon and can play thru the game with a random power along with whatever you unlock from the story

Years later, after getting over it: is more excited for Ghost of Tsushima than he may have been for another inFAMOUS.
The reason the conduit gene is still around is that the R F I did not wipe out the conduit gene is because it mutated the gene is stead of eradicating it. So the R F I killed off all active conduits and activated people who weren't activated but had the gene , making a new generation of conduits.

I kinda thought that the RFI kinda made the entire world a smaller Ray sphere, like there was a small amount of Ray sphere radiation in the air and that eventually a surviving conduits powers would manifest and grow in power as they got older

my ugly face I always wanted to have more games based on either Hank or Eugene. But, I don't think it will happen because their backrounds are kind of lackluster compared to Fetch's.
Hank- I break out of prisons. I look for golden opportunities.
Eugene- I'm a gamer and was bullied. I will stand up for the weak. (Sounds kinda cool when put that way)
Fetch- My parents tried to turn me to the D.U.P. but I ran away with my brother, Brent. We were drug addicts and due to such addictions, I was lead to believe that Brent took my stash, and while under the influence, I killed him.

The beginning alone with them nuking Curdun Cay would have me way more intrigued than second son. I like your ideas with the next game and I'm hoping it's an infamous game as well. When you say "first" are you referring to Second Son? Cuz it aint the first, but i'd agree that Second Son had flaws-Personal bias maybe, but the biggest flaw is that they didnt have electricity, and they made it...broad in a sense.

I personally think a sequel to second son should have more story but let Delsin expand the powers he already has in his arsenal, hell even push them to their limits and their source of power being fire, electricity, and earth itself with rock, wood, metal, magma, and sand. And have Delsin switch them on a fly via the d-pad buttons or a power wheel and assign two powers to different buttons like Prototype 2 did.
I know that coles resurrection wold be cheap but what if delsin whent to coles grave to pay respect and when he puts his hands on the tomb stone cole wakes up from delsins power or something then delsin tries to get him out and cole was an old version of him like the lightning bolt that struck him let him see the future but made him old in the process delsin helped him up and saw his backstory in a nutshell then got electric powers not as mutch as cole but enough then u could switch characters in the game also cole would be upgraded
Cole could come back in another form. Let's say that the First Son's want to replicate Cole's electric powers like Bertrand did to Kuo and have his body in a lab. Delsin breaks in to stop the project and sees Cole's body hanging in a machine. It's then revealed that in order for the power transfer to work the conduit has to be alive. So the First sons brought him back but also wiped his memory.
The player then has the option to mercy kill him or play as him in the game.
Maybe not something so hardcore but he may walk up to the grave and get his powers from his corpse

I know I'm really late to this, but might as well throw my two cents in. I think Fetch definitely could be the main character of a hypothetical infamous 4. I get what you meant when you said her powers were fully explored in first light, but I disagree. As infamous 2 has shown us, there are plenty more ways to expand a Conduits arsenal if you're creative enough. For example, she could get a power up for her light speed ability that instead of making her run faster, could cause time to stop altogether, letting her hit enemy weakpoints while they're frozen. Of course, a power that broken would have to drain her energy real fast, or even be restricted to its own karma bomb type ability. Anyway that's just my own personal speculation on the matter. Fetch, especially as she is in first light is one of my favorite characters, so I hope she keeps some degree of relevance in any possible sequels
Yeah Fetch is an awesome character. I think at this point if we ever get another inFAMOUS game, the best way to go would probably be remaking the first game and then continuing on from there. It’s just weird that Second Son soft-rebooted the franchise and then left us hanging.

There were still natural activated conduits in the first game like Sasha, Alden, and even Cole from the Kessler timeline
To be fair though, we don't know that any of those characters' powers weren't activated. They could've been, we just didn't ever find out. The game never said they got powers naturally.

I seriously don’t understand the hate for Delsin. I liked him, I honestly don’t like Fetch all that well. I mean she’s ok, but she doesn’t need to be the protagonist for the next game if there’s going to be one. I liked the incorporation of the ability absorption. I love electrokinesis, don’t get me wrong. But electricity and Cole has had their time to shine. I would like to try other abilities and new story lines.
+Madman's Knowledge If you haven't chosen a better name yet how about Joshua. As a biblical reference the name Joshua would lend strength to helping you flush out your story. In the bible Joshua leads the Israelites after the death of Moses. Similarly Delsin is in a place where he could lead the Conduits after the death of Cole. This idea also plays well with the game since Delsin was told by Zeke that "Cole would be proud of you". SideNote I'm planning to submit a science based reasoning for the death of the conduits following the events of New Marais and why Other conduits survived, I think your going to like it.

I found Second Son to be lackluster. Not only because of the story, but also the gameplay. In Infamous 1 and 2, there were three different factions of bad guys (Reapers, Dust Men, First Sons; Militia, Vermaak 88, Swamp Monsters) along with different classes in those factions. Each of them were distinct and original. I mean look at those giant trash robots, the Ice Crusher, or the Devourer. rIn Second Son, what do we get? The DUP, Some few generic gang member bad guys. That's it... Also, another thing that I felt should be included was the UGC missions. Yeah, it's kind of a nitpick, but I really liked the idea of making your own story.

my idea for the next one would be a character with Pyrokinesis. he would be able to absorb fire and heat. you can steal body heat from people and at certain times you can feed off the suns rays. powers wise you can breath fire, have heat vision, turn into fire, throw fire balls, fire streams, fire blasts, you can also create weapons like swords, sythes, chains, and other things. to connect to your thing in a way when Curden Kay gets nuked this conduit survives since he can absorb the explosion, and you fallow Desin, Fetch, and Zeke to Empire City

I think the military would need a definitive face that fits the human character need.
I say just mainly improve Delsin as a character with better writing and focus more on the story, add more karma choices, have those karma choices drastically effect the flow of the story.

Well I had a idea of what the next game should be.
The story would be where Cole was brought back by the lightning that struck his coffin and was busy trying to stop the dup in secret.
The beast would also be alive forcing our hero's to team up with Cole to fight the beast but with more powers and abilities.
The story would have you get new powers and eventually Coles powers last.
If you where good cole would trust you and see that a new batch of conduits can be the Future of peace between conduit's and humans.
If evil he will form a temporary Alliance with you and will fight you later.
The game would still have a neutral begging so you can still change your karma like infamous 2 did.
This also affected how fetch and eugene would act around cole senses he was a legend of new mera a man from the history books.
So... You basically want the story of InFamous 2 but with Second Son characters lmao

Sledgehammer will do little damage to civilians, and hitting enemies will slow them down.

Calls a platform that helps you hover in the air to an extent. Platform can become damaged and lose altitude when damaged.

Platform is sturdy and can take more damage, as well as gaining more altitude when backing up(kind of like the Video Upgrade, Airwave, from Second Son)
Steel Shot:
Shoot a steel shot out of your hand(s)
Good Karmic Upgrade: Steady flow
Accuracy and Fire rate of Steel Shot increase.
Evil Karmic Upgrade:
Stream of Chaos
Fire uncontrollable burst of steel, being less accurate but has more damage output.

Please bare with me I haven't played Infamous First Light, Blood Festival, Cole's Legacy and The Paper Trials so please inform me of any info I have missed, but dude that name is not bad but I would like to add a suggestion for that... Infamous Rise Of The Conduits because maybe Delsin will probably go to Curdon Cay and free the Conduits and there could be a lot of conduits, not sure how many I haven't heard them mention the population, but there's a chance that there could be bad conduits who go on an onslaught of rage for humans casting them out of society cause their different and this could start a war between the good conduits and bad... Heck maybe. Can call it Infamous War Of The Conduits. The. Again I'm not an expert of creating astonishing storylines I'm just a big fan of Infamous because Second Son was a disappointment mostly because of the power set

Okay, hopefully this is my last comment. I'll keep typing this out as I go.
What if Zeke created some sort of deployable shield that would absorb the anti-conduit weaponry "bullets"? and would transfer the energy into the character to restore their health? You could upgrade this shield (like you could upgrade the Melee attacks in inFAMOUS 2) so that the upgraded version could actually reflect the bullets back towards the enemy who shot them. While still restoring your health.
I think Eugene's character should be redone, like you said. I'm not sure how he would change his personality but I would like to see Eugene use his powers like he did in the Second Son boss fight. Dragging enemies into his virtual world and using it to torture them or scare them. This could be done throughout the game as an interrogation method.
As for normal human characters; you could always include Stacey Pine from the Conduit Right's League. I REALLY wanted to see her in Second Son and well.. you know where that went.
For the "moral choices" and factions; you're saying you want something more like Mafia 3, Assassin's Creed, or even something RPG based where you take over a faction and then command that faction to follow your actions or orders? I actually kind of like that as well. I never really thought about that.
It would also be nice if the character deaths you mentioned could effect the story. Let's say you make choices that cause more human characters to die? Your human allies would grow more worried and upset with you. Or the opposite: you make choices that cause more conduits to die and your conduit allies would become frustrated with you.
Let's just call the "old karma" your "reputation". Or "public opinion".
This might be taking it too far... but I've always wanted to see faction acceptance in inFAMOUS. What I mean is, let's say two factions are having a turf war on the street. (I'll use the drug dealers and cops from SS) It's not a mission or quest. It's just a city activity. If you decide to help one faction defeat the other, all of the present faction members will be nice to you and won't attack you. This doesn't make the entire faction friendly to you. (at least not until you've helped them enough that they want to be allies). I think that could be really cool.
Yes I agree with most of that and that's what I basically had in mind. My only problem with what you said is the shield. If it gives you health instead of taking away then it makes you invincible to the First Sons which would ruin gameplay.
