Hi, everyone! Thanks for watching! Got any questions about certain sins? I'm willing to give my reasons, but of course, you are always welcome to disagree. :) We're all fans of inFAMOUS here, so please keep an open mind.
Zivalene why did you make that part when cole tells about how he getting used his powers. i mean i know his voice is different but it sounded better. like an actual person who gained powers and is trying to save his city.
+Twone04 Gaming Exactly because it sounded different. Why does it sound different than the whole rest of the game? Why is his voice not so raspy or gravely? If he's telling the story from a future perspective, why does he not sound like during other narrations? That's why.
Zivalene Hey I know I've probably just been annoying...but this question isn't stupid like my other one...ones... When/are you going to make an EWW (thanks for telling me what that meant by the way) for inFAMOUS: Second Son?...Because the last 20+ videos of yours have been Zivalene plays inFAMOUS: Second Son playthroughs
You know Cole's real weakness and enemy? The Empire City Fire Department. If they would have teamed up with a SWAT teams after the evil ending evil Cole wouldn't have been around too long.
@@sunsetman22 Unless Cole can figure out how to use magnetism like electro did to protect himself from water then no he can't and cole is even dumber with his powers then electro was not to mention a decent tier water user could get past that too.
One sin I disagree with you on is the assessment that Cole's treatment of Zeke after he "doesn't" detonante the Ray Sphere is hypocritical. Cole was delivering a package with no idea about the contents, and someone else detonated it. He had no preconceptions or control over what happened. Zeke, on the other hand, knew what the Ray Sphere was capable of when it came into his hands, and chose to sacrifice everyone around him for his own benefit. Then, even after it didn't work, he chose to betray his best friend and run off with the enemy, again for his own benefit. I get the similarities you're talking about between the two situations, and it is presumptuous to put the blame on Zeke for what happened to Trish, but he's still (in that moment) deserving of all the hatred Cole treated him to.
@@Zivalene don't you remeber? you sinned it and said you were going to hell🔥 for this. And you took away sin in infamous 2 when cole screamed while smashing the rfi after killing zeke, so I know for some reason you like Eric Laden better than Jason cottle😁. I kinda do too but particularly because he always uses his normal voice.
A few of the sins I actually noticed, if you're interested: -Cole says that, when fighting them in Archer Square, that was the first time he saw the Reapers. However, he also said that they owned the Neon District. If that's the case, why is this his first time seeing them? -Also, why don't the Reapers attack Cole while he's sleeping on the rooftop? Even with the barbed wire around it, they could still shoot at him or teleport to where he is. -Conveniently, it never rains during the events of this game. -If Alden's telekinesis is strong enough to lift a bus, then lifting Cole and throwing him into a body of water should be no problem, yet he never thinks to do that. -If Zeke had kept his post, he most likely would've died as well. Keep in mind that he's also a human, and one without any training at that.
1. True as to the likelihood of Cole not seeing them before, probably on heard about them from word of mouth, but I think he's only been awake for a week. Could also depend on how recently Sasha formed the group after leaving Kessler. 2. Zeke makes a point in the Post-Blast comic that the rooftop is covered in barbed wire, mannequins and other things to make it seem like a lot of people are on the roof to detract invaders, though I don't think the Reapers would be too afraid of a small group. 3. I have always wished the game would simulate rain or at least for someone to give a throw-away line as to if Cole would be okay in a drizzle. We do know it takes more than just a little water to affect him, after all he does need sponge baths from Trish. 4. Alden's powers allow him to control metal, therefore he can't throw Cole himself. 5. Basically, the dependence of Zeke in that scenario was poorly thought out. There is no good solution.
Zivalene Well, I've never read the comics before, so I didn't even know about the events that happened two weeks prior. Also, that doesn't make any sense and kinda seems like worthless telekinesis if Alden can only manipulate metal and not force away people.
Conduit powers are specifically limited to controlling a particular form of matter depending on the protein that the gene produces (as stated in Second Son). Telekinesis isn't so much a control of any specific matter as it is placing forces on objects with one's brain waves. Notice how Alden and his Conduits all only move metal and things supported by metal. In one of the comics after the first game, Alden is seen for a few panels lifting scalpels, syringes and scissors before Moya knocks him out and orders him to be dissected. Certainly he would have just pushed everyone against the wall if he was able to. Also, I love having another inFAMOUS fan to talk to. It's refreshing.
I am a little confused about the point you made around 33:58. The reason why Cole is so angry is that Zeke knew that Ray Sphere was dangerous and tried to activate it anyway. Cole was unaware of it completely and had to be bribed to even open it up.
0:38 No, the red sky in inFAMOUS does not automatically mean the beast is near. The red sky is a product of the fallout spread by the Ray Sphere blast. It appears at the start of the game, when the Ray Sphere blows up, and again if you're on evil karma. Yes, red skies do appear when The Beast shows up in inFAMOUS 2, but that's because he is pretty much a walking Ray Sphere, so my point still stands.
Honestly, I would've taken a sin off for the Trish/Doctors choice. It makes sense in-universe why Kessler would know exactly which one Cole would try to save.
Agreed he has time travel powers he can go back a few hours back tell the past Kessler hey let me take your place and the past Kessler is like ok and he takes his place
@@Chaoblahippo Actually, that was only a one-way trip he took. Maybe he could go back farther with more training, but considering he was apparently older and weaker now(or it at least explains why Cole in InFamous 1 can beat him with all his crazy abilities), I doubt it. Plus he probably wouldn't see a need to train it since everything's going according to plan here.
"Oh crap. I gotta go. Dwight's sister is hot and ready to go. If you know what I mean me:Bow chicka bow w- you:bow chicka wah wah me:HEY! I'm supposed to say that! shame on you, woman. Shame on you!
Hmm I wasn't confused by the conduit term. If one knows what the word means it somewhat makes sense. By the way I'd really like them to make a game based off Kessler
TheGreatest5316 The ice is the product of another Conduit, Lucy Kuo, a character from inFamous 2. She’s initially aligned to the good side. However, near the end of the game she flips to the bad side. Many fans complained that it came out of nowhere. However, others noted her “brittle and cold” demeanor and a well placed line of foreshadowing.
I watch this video every time I wanna remember the first inFAMOUS game, and I love your opinions on the franchise. But your aim sucks when you're sniping.
Unlike the cinemasins videos I find myself kind of agreeing to too many of these weird inconsistencies/unexplainedisms that one of my favorite games ever had, good video by far
8:14, probably the minority here but i genuinely enjoyed the sewer missions, i've always liked how dark and grimy they were, and i always felt they were pretty good at teaching you the new powers even if after like getting the rockets, you kinda get the flow of the game already. probably just me though.
Another sin that came to mind, which, now that I think about it, was kinda obvious. The fact that the First Sons and Dust Men are able to take more damage from Cole's electricity even though they're layered in metal, meaning that they should get fried much quicker than the Reapers, who wear hoodies.
21:25 Of course you would beat that part in one shot. I mean, you have played that game multiple times. For the newer player, it would be extremely difficult.
To be fair, I had NEVER beaten "Anything for Trish" on my first try before and usually relied on checkpoints to beat it. So the fact that I did beat it without a restart for my recording pleased me very much. And that might have been my........fifth time playing the game?
The sin of Kessler being halfway across the roof, I disagree with. Dude was far away, and was on the same roof as Cole in a heartbeat. So we already know Kessler is super fast. Cole was probably in shock that this old man could do that. Then all of a sudden he leapt towards him. Also, not being able to have Kessler’s powers in InFAMOUS 2, I totally get. I’m still salty about that to.
I know the video is 3 years old but I do have 1 thing to say, 9:50 more than likely the whole reason for him to take it out of the package is for the "video feed" the game does at the beginning to make the whole town against him. Remember, he is trying to get cole as pissed as possible to kill the beast
26:20 Now that I think about it, why did Cole necessarily need someone to come with him up to Alden’s tower? Cole seems to be perfectly capable on his own, and, even if Alden had a plan that was capable of incapacitating Cole, how much more help would one other regular human be? Also, in the case of Zeke going off with Kessler and giving him the Ray Sphere, from the looks of it, Cole didn’t seem to put up too much resistance, not even trying to knock out Zeke or anything to attempt to get the Ray Sphere back.
you should give kessler 20 more sins, because he is so much more powerful than cole, he could team up with cole when facing the beast instead of making cole go through everything he went through in the game
To everyone wondering about that glitch at 4:11, this was recorded on a PC streaming Playstation Now. I'm sure that has something to do with it. But that doesn't mean it isn't funny. :)
Zivalene Though, considering that they live in a world with people that have superpowers, it can be assumed that that lady has Mr. Fantastic-like conduit powers.
There is no evidence to support that if this is an alternate timeline and there is no way to prove that 1. Bertrand was part of the First Sons, 2. Bertrand learned about Conduits, 3. Bertrand got into enough power to order Wolfe to make a transfer device, 4. Do the EXACT same thing he did in inFAMOUS 2 to make an army of ice solders. It is far more plausible that it is Kuo, since we know what power she gets and that she helps the Beast in both timelines of inFAMOUS 2 that we know of. Not to mention that the Beast would kill the Vermaak with Ray Field blasts since they are Forced Conduits.
I'm sorry I had to split this into two parts because it was so long. 0:22 What Camera? When did anyone ever say it was a camera? 0:31 The first two questions are completely moot since answering them would add nothing, but the third one was valid. 0:38 A red sky in this game also means Cole's Karma is evil, which hasn't happened yet because Cole's powers haven't fully developed. 0:45 What's the problem with that, especially when he could just be talking to himself? 1:09 Why not. 1:25 It is possible their helicopter is already filled with people. 1:47 Zeke only sees darkness and explosions, at first and while he can eventually see the lighting he is just putting two and two together and assuming it's the only people he knows that could be doing it, also this is an instinct reaction since how could he be putting together and using logic in his head when he's freaked out and only has a few seconds to react, and he doesn't know the capabilities of every terrorist organization. Also, I wouldn't assume my best friend is behind the explosion and can summon destruction out of his body because he doesn't know he has superpowers yet. 2:10 That's a sin how, especially since it isn't poorly used. 2:34 It's less that he considers them "good use" (since he never said it), and more that he's just doing what his best friend wants. Also, at this point, Cole doesn’t care about the city which you brought up in your video on him. 2:54 He did do it before because he said in his conversation with Trish (which you showed) that he's jumping off of "buildings" (plural), so this wasn't the only building he jumped off, and even if he didn't say that when did it ever say this was his first time jumping off a building? 3:28 That's a problem, how? 4:13 Because he's fat... and most people in 1st world countries don't starve, the explanation is that simple… but hey at least we all know that fat people always lie. If you know you know and I’ll give you a hint that’s a reference to my favorite game of all time and I've played it and its sequel for hundreds of hours each, try to guess what it is in the replies. 4:33 Again that's a sin how? 4:46 I feel like to fix that scene I'd make it so that both the voice of survival and the USTV news reporter say that Cole set off the Ray Sphere and make it so that every scene before the end of the "Anything For Trish" mission Trish's dialogue is different based on your karma (even though the difference start small at first and get bigger), showing that her feelings (outside of her knee-jerk reaction) are always influenced by your actions. How ever, I do feel like it should be brought up that if someone is caught up in the middle of an explosion they aren't usually the one who survives unless we take a mobile Simpsons game I played advice for how explosion works at face value, and although this might sound crazy I don't think it's the most reliable source for how explosions work. While I will use that fact to partially defend Trish's actions I do feel like it's fine if that was brought up. 5:04 Again that's a sin how? 5:13 They really can't do anything about that since Trish isn't going to go with it at this point. 5:24 The reason he considers doing the good and evil options is that while he can take them on, it's easier if he triggers a riot. 5:59 It's pretty obvious Cole would try to escape the city when the entire city turns against him, even though I do find it funny that she decided to be on the right side of the razor wall inside of the left side, I can only imagine what it would've been like if Cole went to the left side, and Moya would be close and yet so far. 6:26 As a swimming fan that cut deep. 8:03 Because you live in a state that produced one of the greatest sets of conspiracy theories (JFK's assassination), I think it should be clear how looney they can be. Speaking of which, aliens, Jackie Kennedy, Texas Oil Barons, LBJ, the CIA, Fidel Castro, the soviet union, and Magneto all killed JFK. 8:10 All I can say is that I don't mind these missions, and that applies to all of your sins for them. 8:32 To quote Jay Exci "This is a thing the movie (or game in this case) should not be taking time out to explain because taking time out to explain this would detract from the pacing and add nothing to the plot." 8:41 He's using the neuroelectric energy inside of people to heal them, that may sound silly but this game came up with the powers so it comes up with what they can do, including doing stuff that electricity can't do, and even if this wasn't the case I would say that the game doesn't need to follow real life since because it's fiction (and yes that even applies to stuff that even elementary school students should realize is dumb like all the science in Another Life which is still terrible even if you agree with me). TLDR: this is a fictional power using fictional electricity so I think suspension of disbelief can be applied here 8:56 Ah, we see eye-to-eye, even though it's different because I'm not a woman, but while I do hate women I also hate men too. 9:14 Two things (you could say that's two you owe me Junior), I don't have a problem with Christian Bale's Batman voice, in his movies, and I don't have a problem with Jason Cottle's voice in this game, and two keep this is mind because it'll be important later. 10:24 I'd say it's more of a structure problem than a pacing problem, and I do think this scene would've been better Zeke says it only if you have good karma (he'll tell you how people hate you even more if you have evil karma), and after the third sewer mission to foreshadowed the different cutscenes you get at the end of the train mission instead of at the second sewer mission which it's at right now. 10:35 They're desperate and thirsty enough to drink anything or it just got in their face without them drinking it. 10:44 How did Trish imply there's a contest between her and Moya? 10:55 The hospital probably sent medical personnel in an ambulance with equipment in it so they can easily treat what's going on at the fountain, instead of Trish having her ambulance. 11:18 A lot of people are getting sick because of the water so they have a finite amount of that spray. 11:37 Yes but that's in character for Sasha. 13:00 One that's a sin show, and two...okay I'll give you that was a nice one. 13:28 Kessler had about a century to harness his powers so of course he has powers that Cole never has. 13:27 Kessler can teleport. 13:31 Isn't that a sin with Infamous 2 and not this game? 13:51 Again that's a sin how? 14:15 If the government wanted to charge up the entire military they would solve the issue of world peace because there wouldn't be any humans left. 14:54 It can be both. 15:14 You've also been complaining about all the men. 15:30 Kessler's still in love with Trish. 16:34 You can not run into him during the quest and then neither of the posters will be hung up, I can only assume he decided to give it a rest after not being able to find Cole. 18:09 Again yes but it's in character for Zeke. 18:57 Cole didn't even imply that he didn't believe in Zeke's conspiracies AFTER this only before. 19:47 Remember my point about Jason Cottle sounding like Cristian Bale's Batman, well here's when it comes back. If they did what you recommend Kessler would be an antagonistic mentor like Ra's Al-Ghul from Batman Begins, and because around this time pretty much every superhero story tried to be like the Nolan Dark Knight trilogy, the fact that this game was partially inspired by the comic Batman: No Man's Land and Batman Begins, the fact that Cole's voice sounds like Cristina Bale's Batman and the fact that good karma Cole can give off Batman vibes with him doing things like arm restraining enemies instead of killing them it probably would've been best if they didn't have yet another similarity to Batman Begins. Speaking of which, I'M BATMAN!!!!!!!!!
20:09 You already sinned the fact that he sounds like Christian Bale's Batman. 20:17 He only got a glance of them at a distance so he couldn't put that together. 21:00 You praised this in your video analyzing Cole's character. 21:18 She came up with the idea. 21:25 This mission is a lot easier if you jump off the bus and attack the Reapers and Dust Men, which is something that most people don't realize… although it’s still annoying. 23:01 The evil side missions make it pretty clear that Sasha can still complete you even without any tar. 24:05 They're desperate. 25:27 Again that's a sin how? 26:24 It's a bad idea but Cole makes it because Zeke's his best friend. 26:39 Yet Again that's a sin how? 26:58 It's pretty clear he was going to use it to become more powerful. 27:30 Yet Again that's a sin how? 27:45 What do you base that off of? 28:02 Yet Again that's a sin how? 28:30 You know what came out a year before 2009, The Force Unleashed and the junk titans in that look a lot better than Alden and his conduits in this. And, yes since it's a Star Wars game it had a higher budget than most games but I feel like needs to be put out there. 30:11 and 30:13 yet again that's a sin how? 30:21 "POSSIBLY?!" 31:34 The First Sons' technology is more advanced than our own. 32:19 Yet Again that's a sin how? 32:38 Again the First Sons' technology is more advanced than our own. 33:00 Again isn't that a sin with Infamous 2 and not this game? 33:19 He was being sarcastic. 33:39 Cole’s acting on emotion, not logic. 33:53 Cole had no idea what the Ray sphere would do; he just thought he was doing his job and delivering a package, Zeke knew countless could be harmed and made the conscious decision to join Kessler, and he could've not done it. 34:18 It's pretty obvious water and electricity don't go well together, you’d think someone in the NSA would know elementary school science 34:53 Yet Again that's a sin how? 35:06 Also, why didn't John’s conduit get activated because he was in the city during the ray sphere blast? 35:41 Because you talked about it in your analysis of Cole's character, no you didn't miss it. 35:56 Again Kessler had about a century to harness his powers so of course he has powers that Cole never has. 36:38 Again, that's a sin how? 36:54 Again that should be a sin for Infamous 2, not this. 37:04 Because Alden and Kessler are both over a century old it's guaranteed that they would be bald, meanwhile, I don't know how Sasha is bald. 37:38 I remember us discussing whether or not that's true (on an account that got deleted) and you stated it would've made no sense to use this if he got it earlier so this isn't a rebuttal but since that's the case we do have to trade one stupid for another if I said that wasn't true. 38:01 Yet again that's a sin how? 38:11 I love how you just make up rules for time travel even though this game never established the fact that if the same two people touch each other they explode, so it doesn't mean that Kessler created an alternative universe or something, or that the Infamous universe existed in multiple timelines. A much better criticism is that this is an example of the grandfather paradox and how does Kessler go back in time if he prevents the beast from being created? Though there's no such thing as a time travel story that makes perfect sense (apart from H.G. Wells' The Time Machine because the time traveler doesn't change anything in that), you should at least try your hardest to make sense. Please tell me if you want a part 2 to this because I'll probably do it anywheres and when it comes to talking about something that contains ice powers there are only two absolutes, zero... and the fact that I will never be able to resist quoting Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze ice puns. Also, since I know you love Second Son so much and Colin made a response video which was about how much he agrees with you, here’s an idea what if in an alternative timeline, the first Infamous was a game about Kessler and what happened in his timeline, and the second game is advertised as a prequel, and you’re led to believe it is at first, but then surprise, it’s a sequel that took place because Cole time traveled and became Kessler as in it’s the twist from this game except it also tells us this is a sequel and not a prequel. Then the third game is Infamous Two. I know you would’ve preferred to have a sequel to the evil ending of Infamous 2 but how do you feel about my idea for an alternative Infamous trilogy?
Zivalene yeah. When I stopped laugh I back flipped as soon as the karma thing went past and then shockwaves them a bunch... I think... I can't remember.... While we're on the topic... Any other amusing screw ups in the game anyone can think of?
@@shadowx2652 I mean he's good at climbing and shut plus the dude has superpowers and can survive massive falls. It wouldn't surprise me that he's got some new strength in his grip and balance.
+Atlas Ultima That is called teleporting or super-speed. Kessler calls himself "tired, worn out", he's very old, and if he were able to it would be included in his boss battle. He hardly does anything other than a leisurely jog and hardly attempts to avoid your attacks (aside from teleporting to cross you up).
+Atlas Ultima Being superhuman didn't keep Alden from needing a cane to walk. And not even Cole can jump or roll as far as Kessler did-- approximately fifteen feet across a roof.
Thank you! It makes all the crashes worth it in the end. Just be aware that if you do them that long videos like these with so many splits and working parts eventually cause frequent crashes and you may have to process several videos. The CinemaSins channel has a whole team of people pumping these out twice a week, and by yourself will take a few weeks. Good luck and take care! If you have any questions how I did it, feel free to ask.
This is likely more of a personal sin, but screw those missions where you have to Snipe all the enemies with Precision before they kill a hostage. And especially while streaming it on PlayStation Now.
At the end of Infamous there is short broadcast you can watch that eludes to the television broadcasting guy working for Kessler. That may be how he got the footage of the blast. It would also make sense to have that guy show that video in an effort to toughen up Cole.
2:41 If you play enough RPG games, you'll be surprised at what you can fit into your backpocket. In some games, you can have an entire array of weapons in your back pocket. Even if your character doesn't have any pockets, they still manage to squeeze stuff in somehow.
EWW: EWW Infamous Okay, right off the bat... THAT WASNT AN EMP. IT WAS THE RAY SPHERE EXPLODING. THE RAY SPHERE EXPLODING DOES RELEASE AN EMP. The electricity was shutoff by the different gangs, which why you meet so many in the sewers. 1:10 He can jump and climb and maintain balance because A) he's a conduit, and B) his main hobby is free-running parkour. He's a bike courier. His phone will have many different attachments, USB and such, but probably also FM radio and a pager. The real sin is we don't get to listen to some tunes. 7:15 the light is coming from his hand. He was going to flip her over to see if she was just passed out, or how she died. It's a normal thing to do. 8:20 You're sinning based on preference now? The nitpicking and joke-sins I understand... 9:25 No, he didn't see them shoot her. The vision shows he was dragged away first, remembers? He assumes she's a hostage. 10:30 after sinning Zeke about not knowing the first thing about starvation, you forget the first thing about dehydration. 11:20 there's no time to dodge, and clearly Cole needs both hands to move it. Sin lady doesn't know how to wheel. 12:30 you just contradicted your own sin. She has evidence John maybe on the train because her Sue sources told her. ...still technically a sin, I guess... 12:37 because there will be reapers there. You need to take it to a reaper free area, so people aren't immediately shot. I MEAN, YOU FIGHT REAPERS ALL THE WAY THERE THAT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS. 13:18 Infamous 2, Evil Cole. 13:20 Cole isn't slow, Kessler is just fucking fast. 14:50 why not both? 15:15 yeah, but you complain about everybody, so you're not one to talk. 15:30 YOU ARE TRYING TO ANLYZE THE THOUGHT PROCESS OF A CRAZY PERSON. ITS NOT GOING TO BE RATIONAL. 15:40 I guess the game assumes you are collecting dead drops (like you should.) which tell you Sasha was a scientist working with the First Sons, who are all pieces of shit. 16:52 all games have bugs. 10 year olds can deal with it. 19:20 plausible deniability on grounds that Cole is an alleged terrorist, vigilante, danger to public safety, and at the very least a vandal, and that everything about this operation is off-book. 19:48 Kessler knows this. That's why his lessons are done in the form of violent, cruel attacks. You have no choice but to learn. 20:50 You sin good writing. 22:10 A good deal of orphans end up on the street, and I doubt little Alden would go looking for one. 23:25 as explained in infamous 2, people with conduit gene can link together to activate the conduit gene with similar or even identical abilities, although much less powerful than the original. 25:20 YOU SIN THE GAME FOR SAYING SOMETHING YOU THINK IS TRUE. WHAY EVEN. 25:45 Jon doesn't want anything to do with the NSA either. Remember, he wants to destroy the Ray sphere. 26:10 the term is "Ex Machina" not "Deus Ex Machina." The literary device has nothing to do with a cyborg video game. 27:05 Alden thinks the Ray Sphere can double his power, which he needs to become the tower. 28:00 YOU SIN A CHARACTER FOR BEING SENSIBLE. ANYONE ELSE WOULD HAVE REMOVED A SIN. 29:05 probably your own ignorance, but you'll sin it anyway. 31:30 yeah, force fields are to ridiculous! But not superpower inducing exploding spheres or mind-control gas! 32:00 his hands are... Kinda busy, if you couldn't tell, by, y know, you playing the game. 32:30 Again, Sci-Fi text in possession of a secret society all about sci-fi tech (and humanity's evolution) is pretty standard. 33:20 Sin lady doesn't know how to sarcasm. 34:20 he has both eyes and access to a camera. Also, TV, word of mouth, common sense... 35:40 cough Trish saying she's proud of you for helping people at death cough Zeke opening his eyes about responsibility cough just a second ago Cole had an epiphany when destroying the Ray sphere cough. Seriously, your memory's fucking bad. 38:20 but then we can assume infinite Kesslers saving infinite alternate timelines and the whole thing is to pointless to even point out, and it is by far the pettiest sin on here, and you sinned a guy for yelling. Also, everything that happened in Kesslers timeline would've happened here, it would've just taken longer. That was a pretty big plot point, and you ignored it.
+Killgore the culinary destroyer A) You contradicted yourself on your first point. Yes, the Ray Sphere blast releases and EMP, and if you are unaware, EMPs disable electrical items temporarily. Therefore, the gangs can still knock out the power later as we see with the Reapers. B) Not too many free-runners are on circus level tight-rope walking C) If it was coming from his hand, it'd be the same color as his lightning, which it's not. D) It's a Nokia, which had very basic ports and had little functionality than making calls. Not to mention all the things he plugs into it all have the same singular port that his phone has, which at this point, wouldn't be USB-- it would be a charging slot. E) This is not preference. A few sewer missions are okay here and there, but they are extremely repetitive. Repetitiveness in video games gets stale very quickly. F) Where ever they were dragging Brandon, he could have easily head the gunshot when they killed her, not to mention I don't think the Reapers would have waited for him to be gone to kill her. G) So there is black water in the fountain and you see people lying around dead, you would drink that instead of finding a better, obviously not toxic, water main? There is more than one fountain in this city. Not to mention no one thinks to boil their clearly deseased water, not that it would help. H) Doesn't know how to wheel, lol. And yes, you can stand to the side and pull a valve open, don't know if you've ever tried. I) But John isn't on the train and that's the sin. Her sue source, who has told her no wrong up to this point, told her wrong. John isn't even on this island, he's in the Warren trying to get the Ray Sphere back from the Dust Men. J) So, I couldn't just take it to the nearest train station, kill the Reapers there and open the doors? Did I have to pass two stations? Moya only informed the families of thier loved ones being freed at the specific station during the mission. K) Evil Cole has teleportation? Nope. Nope. Nuh-uh. Don't think we played the same game. L) If he "leaped", Cole could at least try to get out of the way. If he teleported, then i understand. M) Unreliable narrator is the point. N) Because no one is perfect, and they could portray women better. O) It's more out of curiosity than analysis. P) The game really shouldn't assume what a player in a sandbox game is going to do. Not to mention the Dead Drops explaining Sasha's affiliations with the First Sons doesn't come in until the Warren, so it's still a mystery at this point. Q) Sure, they can have bugs. Doesn't mean I can't sin them. That one killed me. R) But there's still nothing stopping him from telling anybody, they don't have to believe him. S) Point still stands that Cole doesn't listen to anything Kessler says and blows him off, even after he kills Trish. It's only when he understands the entire scope of his plan that he regretfully accepts it. T) Never generalize, especially when subject can stick thier foot in thier mouth. U) Alden wouldn't need to, good samaritains could have or even someone who runs or volunteers at an orphanage. V) This requires the transfer device which is either still in New Marais or not finished yet. W) I sin that I can even agree with Moya, or rather that this even needs to be discussed. Cole has even tried to tell Zeke to stay away. X) The sin is for the identity of the chopper, not because John ran. Y) Deus ex Machina means "God within the Machine". Where do you think the game got it's name? It's divine intervention in the machinization of life. Z) He wants to become the tower? Never got that clue. Could it just be he wanted the Ray Sphere on top of the tower so no one could get it? He clearly didn't need it to turn into a "robot". And I'm pretty sure he could have just activated the Ray Sphere a long time ago, built the tower in half the time or just assimilate the entire city to himself. AA) John is the ONLY ONE who has sense and he's the ex Machina. AB) The series has a habit of using words it doesn't define until future installments. AC) So where did the force-feild come from? We haven't seen a Conduit on the First Son's side that can make those. if it's technology, it's pretty crazy advanced and I'm surprised it isn't used in everything for the First Sons. AD) Takes a lot of effort to raise your hand to your chest and click a button. AE) With all the stuff they can do, I'd expect more out of them. AF) Cole is in a pretty careless mood this entire mission. He just cares about gettting out of the city and killing Kessler. AG) Is it common sense? Static doesn't short out in water. Not to mention what if I never came in contact with water? Wouldn't it be something Cole wouldn't want to be commonly known? AH) Even after all of that he only talked about killing Kessler and getting out of the city. His caring for the city came out of no where. AI) Kessler is saving a single timeline where an infinite amount of other timelines are in peril. This timeline also wouldn't go the same way as Kesslers because he meddled with it. Nothing he did in this timeline would change his own. We also don't know what brought the Beast into existance in Kessler's timeline for sure and the Beast could be anyone with any power and since Cole himself later becomes the Beast, he could jump timelines and destroy and entirely different world if he wanted to. Phew! Took me over an hour to reply to this! Glad to see someone else likes this game as much as I do. Though we could have had an intellectual conversation without insults. Thanks for watching and commenting, dude.
+Killgore the culinary destroyer Sure, but there's no sign of electricity traveling from Cole to the cars, where as the game visually displays when his powers are affecting something.
Zivalene To look at your answers and what he said, you'd spend about 15-30 minutes...However having 2 devices would make it a lot easier... This has nothing to do with the game content whatsoever I just wanted to say it...And I've always wanted to do this...Ding!
1:25 Not to mention, the helicopter didn't even bother trying to like fly down to help Cole get out of there. They expected someone who looked as messed up as Cole already did at that point to somehow get through the parking garage that was about to crumple down and get to safety.
Sorry that you get triggered so easily. And no, I am not calling the Ray Sphere an EMP, I am calling the initial effect of the Ray Sphere before it actually goes off and gives people powers an Electro-magnetic Pulse effect.
As a person who played this game twice on hard mode, I commend you for not sinning the “Defend the Bus” and “Defend the police station” levels because those are both donkey dookie on hard!
I rmemeber completing this game twice when it came out, and I don't remember a single thing in this video except zeke's gun, zeke grabbing the ray sphere, and the kessler fight
"John and the Ray Sphere are gone. Reduced to ashes." Cole used the Ray Sphere to destroy the Ray Sphere lol. And literally too, considering the events in Infamous 2.
Yeah. There's Reapers everywhere. And it's not like the train station Cole brought it to was like guarded with DARPA security or whatever. It was just as open as the other stations. Also, just because they may or may not be reunited with their family doesn't guarantee their getting back home safely, much less their survival.
That's why.
Zivalene I JUST READ EVERY COMMENT...WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?
Zivalene Alden jumps off a bridge never to be seen again...DING!
“A plague struck, followed by Rioting,”
Holy shit this game predicted the future
😂😂😂
I played it for the first time when the plague hit
Covid is the how I ended up playing inFAMOUS
@CoolGamerTag69 EJHee one of my favourite games great story and solid gameplay
Playing this game now is kinda funny because of this.
4:11 so we're all supposed ignore elastigirl on the right there? wtf?
FUCKING CONDUITS EVERYWHERE
cyberlox good, I wasn't the only one who got confused when that happened.
yeah i know
I was just going to say that lol
Ethan Haynes that happened with Cole once while I was playing.
You know Cole's real weakness and enemy? The Empire City Fire Department. If they would have teamed up with a SWAT teams after the evil ending evil Cole wouldn't have been around too long.
LOL
Jason long LMAO
The only time where a Hydro Pump would be super effective against a pure Electric type.
which brings us to the logical question: are there any water conduits out there? if so, could they defeat Cole?
@@sunsetman22 Unless Cole can figure out how to use magnetism like electro did to protect himself from water then no he can't and cole is even dumber with his powers then electro was not to mention a decent tier water user could get past that too.
Removing a sin because of Kessler's line: *I've always been there, Cole. Every step of your life.* Badass.
4:11 did anyone else notice that in the background?
If I had noticed that, I would have sinned that. lol
randomperson _ 8 I saw it
randomperson _ 8 ok
Zivalene so +1?
Gotta love how, you see a comment right after seeing something in a video. I was thinking of mentioning it, but saw your time stamp and laughed.
I actually liked zeke as a buddy.
Xiaran Me too. And I can understand where he’s coming from with trying to help Cole out.
@@superlombax1561 same.
He just wanted powers to be more usefull to Cole
Yeah killing him in the 2nd game was tough
She acts like she hates him😄
4:12 WOW WOW WOW that is not how arms work
It didnt glich while i was playing and im something like glich hunter so i'll go back to infamous to find em all
When Trish died Cole actually did good voice acting
Too bad little miss zivalene didn't like it😆
I didn't? This is news to me.
Doesn't mean I don't like it.
And Eric is clearly the better actor.
I have returned after a year
A few of the sins I actually noticed, if you're interested:
-Cole says that, when fighting them in Archer Square, that was the first time he saw the Reapers.
Zivalene I still don't understand what Zeke was even NEEDED for!
To make everything go wrong, of course.
I am a little confused about the point you made around 33:58. The reason why Cole is so angry is that Zeke knew that Ray Sphere was dangerous and tried to activate it anyway. Cole was unaware of it completely and had to be bribed to even open it up.
Yeah, that's true
Then go watch CinemaSins.
That was in the comics but not this game, so that's an issue with the comics and not this.
Like Trish?
@@Chaoblahippo Actually, that was only a one-way trip he took. Maybe he could go back farther with more training, but considering he was apparently older and weaker now(or it at least explains why Cole in InFamous 1 can beat him with all his crazy abilities), I doubt it. Plus he probably wouldn't see a need to train it since everything's going according to plan here.
26:42 Fun Fact: You can zap the Golem's arms off to kill them quicker.
Oh thanks for the tip
Would’ve been nice to know a couple weeks ago. 💀
"Oh crap. I gotta go. Dwight's sister is hot and ready to go. If you know what I mean
me:Bow chicka bow w-
you:bow chicka wah wah
me:HEY! I'm supposed to say that! shame on you, woman. Shame on you!
Great minds think alike. :)
Zivalene I third that
+Tara Stephens No.
oh.... now swad
Real subtle😄. But why sin it after saying it lol?
Man this game's story hits hard in April.
So true😁
How about all the conveniently placed wires between the buildings
Lol
Most of them make sense.
You say this like you've never seen power and telephone lines
Hmm I wasn't confused by the conduit term. If one knows what the word means it somewhat makes sense. By the way I'd really like them to make a game based off Kessler
13:36 Are you talking about Kuo?
Matthew Smith, Yes.
Well yes, considering she goes evil in the end of the second game
When the hell is sucker punch gonna make a goddamm remaster?
the teen gamer I know, right?
I doubt it’ll happen
Or time travel evil coal fights against good coal and this kid from second son
the teen gamer they should make a remaster it would be the best game
Second son is ok
another sin: if you get 1050 xp by activating the ray sphere, why we dont start the game with 1050 xp?
Lol that is true. That's a good one.
It wouldnt make sense since you would have tons of xp for doing nothing. Other then just starting the game
13:45. The best foreshadowing the world has seen
Yaboy_Mantis I don't get it
TheGreatest5316 The ice is the product of another Conduit, Lucy Kuo, a character from inFamous 2. She’s initially aligned to the good side. However, near the end of the game she flips to the bad side. Many fans complained that it came out of nowhere. However, others noted her “brittle and cold” demeanor and a well placed line of foreshadowing.
Ginger Grant ah. I played Infamous 2 just as much as I played infamous 1 so I feel kind of ashamed for not getting that lol.
Why'd they count that as a sin though if it was genius lol
TheGreatest5316, Honestly I don’t know.
I watch this video every time I wanna remember the first inFAMOUS game, and I love your opinions on the franchise.
But your aim sucks when you're sniping.
Is her aim when sniping really that bad?
I'm actually pretty good at sniping and I prefer it over other methods, but it may not show in the tidbits of gameplay here and there.
@@Zivalene
Yeah, the footage does not do justice to your claim.
@@Zivalene At least you never miss a lot and your aim is not really that bad, honestly.
Does anyone miss sly cooper and wish that they made a sequel to it?
god i miss the ps3 era
Yeah, same.
@@superlombax1561 such a good time to be alive
Best era of gaming for sure 👌
When I first heard Cole referred to as a Conduit, I thought it specifically meant him, in reference to him having electrical powers.
4:12
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH THAT GIRL’S ARMS?!?!
Another sin that came to mind, which, now that I think about it, was kinda obvious. The fact that the First Sons and Dust Men are able to take more damage from Cole's electricity even though they're layered in metal, meaning that they should get fried much quicker than the Reapers, who wear hoodies.
Hmm, good point. I mean, some of them are wearing trash bags, but yeah.
@@Zivalene Well, when you zap any of the Dust Men, pieces of what look like scrap metal seem to fly off of them. So, I dunno.
4:12
Those arms man
13:17 Teleporting, A metal glowing arm, and body, a mysterious hood. And he's just a concerned citizen. Yes.
I joke that there is 4 because even if I start on Hard, the game increases my difficulty to Hard.
@@Zivalene yeah I actually had to Google the answer to that mission
I tolerate this mission, it’s not bad but it’s not good either.
Kudos to her for beating it in Hard Mode and not extending her energy meter.
*11:27*
This lady who's too clingy towards Cole is a discount Lust. *Ding*
Basically a conduit.
Also, in the case of Zeke going off with Kessler and giving him the Ray Sphere, from the looks of it, Cole didn’t seem to put up too much resistance, not even trying to knock out Zeke or anything to attempt to get the Ray Sphere back.
i never noticed the cutscene where kessler shows u the future foreshadows kuo betraying you and helping the beast
John goes in blue and good but comes out red and evil anyone else see my confusion
COOOOOOOLLLLLEEEEEEE cole TRRRRRIIIIISSSHHHHHHHH trish
She sinned that😄
15:47, that's a very accurate point, I always thought that line didn't make sense.
Apparently she was a high ranking researcher for the first sons
you should give kessler 20 more sins, because he is so much more powerful than cole, he could team up with cole when facing the beast instead of making cole go through everything he went through in the game
How right you are.
15:33 that's what everyone believed until the big reveal at the climax
"I don't have any tar on me, go away!"
Hilarious response
13:17 you can see kessler t pose
Well this was not was I looking for when I typed Everything Wrong With
No, I'm sure you were looking for CinemaSins or Dartigan.
If you jump at just the right time after Trish falls to her death Cole looks like he is diving after her while calling her name
Im a simple man. If you can do the sin counter correctly then i subscribe
Thanks! :D
Fantastic-like conduit powers.
this game is on pc? i tho it was a playstation exclusive.
It is, but Playstation Now is available on PC to stream a selection of Playstation games.
Zivalene 13:45 are bertrands ice soliders
4:12 WoW lady, what's up with those arms
He says he learned how to climb before the events of the game. And the explosions happen when he walks by because of his powers.
This was an awesome video; Almost makes me wanna play it again.
8:32 To quote Jay Exci "This is a thing the movie (or game in this case) should not be taking time out to explain because taking time out to explain this would detract from the pacing and add nothing to the plot."
8:41 He's using the neuroelectric energy inside of people to heal them, that may sound silly but this game came up with the powers so it comes up with what they can do, including doing stuff that electricity can't do, and even if this wasn't the case I would say that the game doesn't need to follow real life since because it's fiction (and yes that even applies to stuff that even elementary school students should realize is dumb like all the science in Another Life which is still terrible even if you agree with me). TLDR: this is a fictional power using fictional electricity so I think suspension of disbelief can be applied here
8:56 Ah, we see eye-to-eye, even though it's different because I'm not a woman, but while I do hate women I also hate men too.
30:21 "POSSIBLY?!"
31:34 The First Sons' technology is more advanced than our own.
34:18 It's pretty obvious water and electricity don't go well together, you’d think someone in the NSA would know elementary school science
34:53 Yet Again that's a sin how?
I feel compelled to point out that when I rushed at the baton wielding cops.... They sorouned me and beat me to death XD
lol!
Zivalene Batons are stronger than guns and conduit powers! Ding!
Zivalene yeah. When I stopped laugh I back flipped as soon as the karma thing went past and then shockwaves them a bunch... I think... I can't remember.... While we're on the topic... Any other amusing screw ups in the game anyone can think of?
Jake Hamilton 16:51
1:10 originally Cole was supposed to be into urban exploration. So climbing was kind of his thing and plus powers and stuff
But shouldn't have perfect balance.
@@shadowx2652 I mean he's good at climbing and shut plus the dude has superpowers and can survive massive falls. It wouldn't surprise me that he's got some new strength in his grip and balance.
@@JUSTICEMO you have a point even though he was limping. Welcome back btw. Your the first.
13:21 You literally saw him teleport from one roof to the other a moment ago!
+Atlas Ultima But he wasn't teleporting in the scene, he was "leaping".
Maybe he's able to leap short distances in an instant.
Still, he's superhuman. A distance like that is merely a hop.
+Atlas Ultima Being superhuman didn't keep Alden from needing a cane to walk. And not even Cole can jump or roll as far as Kessler did-- approximately fifteen feet across a roof.
Infamous was the main reason why I got the ps3
Over an 2 hours of everything wrong with the inFAMOUS series?
Sign me the hell up.
You know, Aldin's bright idea with the Ray Sphere seems kinda familiar... *coughClockwerkandClock-Lacough*
close enough but it's bow chicka bow wow
Was intended to convey an unfortunate circumstance or failure.
Real charming😅
@@Zivalene you don't say😄
Nostalgia brought me here.. 10 years later
Still a banging game tho 😄
21:57 The literal definition of cutscene incompetence.
9:02 lol at how sad Cole gets
Really well done! :D (I'm planning to do EWW videos myself)
Thanks for the advice! :)
Zivalene at about 4:13 You miss an NPC trying to roleplay as Mr fantastic.
also, regenerative health
HybridTheOtaku I'm planning on doing some of these as well. They seem really fun to do.
+Carl Hart It's pretty time consuming and you need a pretty beefy computer and program to prevent constant crashes, fair warning.
This is likely more of a personal sin, but screw those missions where you have to Snipe all the enemies with Precision before they kill a hostage. And especially while streaming it on PlayStation Now.
I actually love the sewer missions.
Its kinda boring.
I like them more than the equivalent missions in Infamous 2
At the end of Infamous there is short broadcast you can watch that eludes to the television broadcasting guy working for Kessler. That may be how he got the footage of the blast. It would also make sense to have that guy show that video in an effort to toughen up Cole.
Probably. And for no reason he gets killed. Most likely he was no longer useful to him.
That Womans Arms At 4:11 Though...
2:41 If you play enough RPG games, you'll be surprised at what you can fit into your backpocket. In some games, you can have an entire array of weapons in your back pocket. Even if your character doesn't have any pockets, they still manage to squeeze stuff in somehow.
Yeah
Considering that this is a more realistic game(despite the superpowers), it doesn't make much sense.
EWW: EWW Infamous
Okay, right off the bat...
Those "timely explosions" are the damaged cars reacting to Cole's ambient energy, as we have see damaged cars that are shocked explode.
+Killgore the culinary destroyer A) You contradicted yourself on your first point. Yes, the Ray Sphere blast releases and EMP, and if you are unaware, EMPs disable electrical items temporarily. Therefore, the gangs can still knock out the power later as we see with the Reapers.
B) Not too many free-runners are on circus level tight-rope walking
C) If it was coming from his hand, it'd be the same color as his lightning, which it's not.
Killgore the culinary destroyer That was probably the longest comment I've ever read...
Are we not going to talk about the ladies arms at 4:12?
This is the best game of all time. I love it so much
Already triggered because ray sphere that activates conduit genes is being called an EMP🤦🏽♂️
Sorry that you get triggered so easily. And no, I am not calling the Ray Sphere an EMP, I am calling the initial effect of the Ray Sphere before it actually goes off and gives people powers an Electro-magnetic Pulse effect.
Hate that bus mission and Trish.
25:47 The worst part is that it's actually the NSA (listen to the last dead drop).
Ah, it's been a few years since I last watched this video. Great memories to be back here...
Oh c'mon, you shoulda removed a sin for that lucky foreshadowing of what Kuo does.
Lucky foreshadowing? More like totally missable foreshadowing.
So the Kessler vision was what infamous 3 could have been why didn’t we see that game add another sin please
You talking about cole as the beast from infamous 2.
This is way funnier than it should be.
Thank you. :)
As a person who played this game twice on hard mode, I commend you for not sinning the “Defend the Bus” and “Defend the police station” levels because those are both donkey dookie on hard!
Well, to be fair, she actually did kinda sin the "Defend the Bus" mission, but only when Trish complains about us 'not protecting the bus'.
I'd like to add that conduits can temporarily transfer their own healing factor into others it just takes the form of whatever their power is
How did you get the information?
4:10 look at the woman on the right AT HER ARMS!!

12:35 well, if you did take it to the next destination, the people will be killed. There's Reapers everywhere sooo... -1 sin
Yeah. There's Reapers everywhere. And it's not like the train station Cole brought it to was like guarded with DARPA security or whatever. It was just as open as the other stations. Also, just because they may or may not be reunited with their family doesn't guarantee their getting back home safely, much less their survival.
