I really appreciate your content and delivery. And most importantly I appreciate the honesty. Well done. I’d like to add I’d love to own an American Wolfie but when I tried it I couldn’t get over the small size. As a larger guy I could only envision all of the jokes coming my way. The size between the guitar and myself was just too great to overlook. But man did it play well.
I personally LOVE the EBMM necks, especially on the 6 strings. That 42mm nut width is perfect for my slightly smaller hands and whatever shape the neck is... is perfect. I only have the Sterling BY Musicman JP60 (with some mods), but I am looking to get an EBMM Shillouette guitar. Preferably hard-tail but there is a decent priced one with a Piezo system on reverb right now...
Super fast necks indeed! I was so impressed with this one. I believe this Axis was actually a 41.5MM neck so it was like a toothpick lol I had a buddy with a sillouette it was amazing. He didn't like the floyd rose so he ended up trading it but it was very well made and souded great.
For me the necks on Music Man guitars are the best out of everything I ever played. Combine that with the forearm cutout on a JP6 and you've got my almost perfect guitar. I say almost because JP6s have double sided trems which I don't need. Side not, the Music Man trems are pretty much as good as they can get.
Extremely fast smooth necks! Yes totally agree. That cutout on the JP is mint. If I did play one that model would be close to perfection for me. Still love the Axis shape though...
@@TopShelfGear So this might sound crazy but I've been thinking about getting like an Axis or some other guitar close to perfection like that, and taking it to a wood shop to just make the cutout myself. There are no electronics in that part of the guitar and it's really not that hard of a job. Take some of that wood off, sand it to perfect smoothness and get it refinished.
Now if only they’d put the forearm contour on a BFR model besides the 16 and XX they’d have a perfect guitar. The 20” neck on the XI/12 play like butter.

Thx for checking it out! This has been a fun series for sure! Yeah that axis body was sooooo small haha it would have been perfect if they just did a better arm contour.

@@TopShelfGear That sounds about right. I'm not really a trem guy either...

This could be the perfect non headless couch guitar lol 😆 need to find one beat up on reverb for cheap haha
