Hey man, Mike from Cerberus here. Just today saw this video and want to thank you for your feedback bro, will take them onboard and get some updates going man. Loved the overall video, very informative and professional. We have updated our 2025 models with a slimmer body though as this year we spent a lot of time revisiting the Erebus. One to note, which you mentioned, is as the arm contour bevel. Thank you for pointing out the Walnut piece area of concern, I’ll bring it up with the factory.
Glad it was helpful! Yeah really cool overall. I want to give them another try at some point in the future. Best thing about it was the neck shape. One of the best I felt. Just bummed this particular one had that rough grain that didn't work out.
I find myself coming back to your channel whenever you post, it's time to sub hahaha. I really appreciate your objective yet personal takes. Everything you explain is nicely paced and I can tell you're really passionate about guitars and their specs. In a previous vid I remember you compared something to custom forged wheels (or similar) - you a car guy too? 🤟
haha yeah man hit that button for me, more videos to come! :) Yeah I've had sooooo many guitars over the years its fun to go back and revisit them. If I had seen more deep dives I probably could have saved a lot of money myself! haha Yes I absolutely am a car guy! I also have a car channel as well. Have been putting out automotive content since 2018 th-cam.com/channels/RkOe2_OsOwJ7YSPMZwYKtg.html
@@TopShelfGear That's awesome! I have a mk7 golf R myself, seems we have great taste in guitars and cars haha. I'll keep it to talking about guitars on this channel though ;) I'll definitely check out your other stuff!
Yeah man I couldn't really see that being a huge benefit. Cool potential I suppose bit yeah I think they really need to make thinner bodies. Would just make more sense overall.
@@TopShelfGear I dunno, it seems like a made up reason. Guitars with floating trems are usually really thin. Like the Ibanez S series, the middle part of the body is as thin as it possibly can be to fit the tone block. Petrucci models. Even my Ibanez AZ is thin. I’m comparing it to my schecter Keith Merrow with a fixed bridge right now. They’re almost the same.
@bearmadden1776 I agree, that definitely sounds made up. The main issue Ibanez ran into with the thinness of the s series was the electronics if I remember correctly, not the trem.
I love open pore wood on a neck. I want my neck to feel like the floor of a 1700s farmhouse. If there isn't a genuine risk of splinters I'm not interested.

Thanks for another informative, well-presented video. I don't know much about this brand but I'm definitely going to learn more about them now.

Who buys a fixed bridge guitar to then cut a hole in it and put a floyd rose in?

@@jonathanshaver3001 yeah, the edges just didn’t have enough thickness to house pretty much anything.
Dimebag. He did that very thing to his early ML guitars.

😂😂😂
It seems like a great guitar, but in what world is $1500 a "guitar on a budget"
Definitely a great brand overall. considering a real blackmachine guitar sells used for $10,000+ these days, $1,000-1500 sounds pretty reasonable. Lol
The world we live in in 2024 bro. Made in China Epiphones are going for $1300 🥲
@@Metal-lz8td that's so sad when you realize how little our dollar goes. 😔
I was able to get mine for $750 locally for a 7 string used one.
Good vid, your channel should be bigger! I had this same guitar and agree with everything you said.
