i have the original M50 and just ordered the MkII today. I'll be using the older one as a B camera for my projects. I really love the compactness of the EF-M family.
what is your experienced so far with markII.?
@@umaid813 absolutely no complaints. It's just like the M50, the only bugs I've noticed are that the MK2 is not compatible with older gimbals and the MK1 with the newest ones so you gotta match them accordingly.

@@MicheleAdjoa at the time they weren't cause the mk2 was so new but the gimbals and cameras have updated their firmware since, so they all work properly now. If you haven't updated yours, I highly recommend you do it.

I'm weighing up the M50 ii vs the M6 ii to add to my M5 (which I love for straight photography because all the controls are right there on the top).

I would definitely get the M50 Mark ii for the HDMI out and I would add the speed booster to eliminate a lot of the crop that happens in 4K .

The HDMI out, EF-M mount, and vlogging features combined are what make this camera interesting. I don't think filmmakers would have this as the first choice. They'd probably use Blackmagic for low-budget and/or low-profile. Unless a character in the movie vlogs professionally, then this would be something to include, with some cheesy frame overlay and blink record button.

Hi, I bought the MII and love it. I want to start a podcast and am looking for a second camera. If I stick to Canon I could save on lenses and use on both cameras therefore saving the budget. I have a Atem Mini Pro for production. Bought yesterday so am learning. What Canon camera (preferably) would you recommend for the second camera.... or maybe a third? Who knows? The Canon M50 and the M50 Mark II are absolutely IDENTICAL. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS A FIRMWARE UPDATE. Canon could easily update the regular M50, but chose not to. I suspect Canon wants consumers to consume, and 'force' them to buy the Mark II and make more money (as usual).
