No need to be disappointed about the 3500 limit for the exhaust sounds. You can just pull fuse 15 and you will have sweet sound all over the rev range. If you want that all the time you just leave the fuse out. If you want the ability to have that sound all over the rev range, but also have it switchable to go back to the way it is by default with fuse 15 in place, there are ways to set that up as well so that you can have the best of both worlds.
Apparently pulling fuse 15 brings even better sounds more generally beyond just removing the 3500 rpm limit as well (some better farts/pops/bangs etc).

Thanks for the review - I’ve been looking at these the last few months and I’m 90+% sure I’m going ahead, with one n(vs. a used 911 or 918 Cayman) although I’m not sure I will go with the v8 or the v6. My heart says v8 all the way, but I’m wondering if it’s overkill… Growing up in western Canada, we used to say Jaguar like you do - Jagwire - but that was 30 years ago and please, it’s Jaguar, pronounced Jag-you-are lol.!!

I recently rented a F-Type (convertible version) for 3 days in Germany, and I can say your review is spot on. I'm a bit more negative though - and it's all relating to two things. The storage capacity in the convertible is horrible. I actually opted for the Coupé when I put in the reservation but got the convertible instead. I know, I know - that you should not expect storage space in cars like this - but it's really ridiculously small - and I drive a coupé on a daily basis (Mercedes C-class) so I don't need that much, but in comparison it's something you should really consider when opting in on this car. The second part is the overall feel of the quality in the cabin. Too much cheap plastic and I got a feeling of cheap / old school interior. The steering wheel, the buttons etc. much of it feels outdated and of lower quality than it should be in such a price range. Oh, also the way the tail pipes are slightly pointing upwards looks weird to me. All that being said, they sound - oh my god... AMAZING! and the driving experience is amazing. It's so stable even at 250 km/h on the Autobahn. I was laughing and smiling due to the sounds this car makes. On cold start in the morning, it sounds like you have just started a race car. Absolutely insane!. Would I buy one? Never, usability, overall quality feel is not good enough for me - also the sound of the blinker is annoying. But a fun and beautiful car for sure.

In response to your question about reliability…
These latest variants have the advantage of being at the end of the development cycle. As such, these cars represent the most worked out and refined F-type you will find. They have all the little issues of the past cars addressed with updated parts. The motor and transmission setup is essentially bullet proof (has been around forever and used in many vehicles). There are a few things to keep an eye on around the engine for cooling, but even then the problematic parts for that stuff have been revised/addressed. This really is the best F-type ever. Some view the F-type as the most reliable car in the Jag lineup.
The nay sayers like to quote electrical problem yada yada…Also old speak…One of the positive influences of Tata ownership is that they explicitly set out to improve reliability. As part of that they changed to Bosch as the supplier of their electronics for these cars. This has directly contributed to improvements in general reliability, and specifically with the electronics end of things.
There are unfortunately some legit reliability concerns over on the Range Rover Land Rover side, and that reliability brush often gets unjustly painted onto the Jags unfairly.
I have family and friends who own modern Jag products (F-types and XEs). No issues.
Having recently purchased a 2024 F-type R here in Canada myself, I never would have done that if I wasn’t reasonably confident in the car’s reliability. It wouldn’t matter how much I like the car (and I do like these cars, trust me). If the reliability was horrid it would have been a hard pass. Fortunately my first hand experience and research show they are fine. You just have to sift through all the outdated uninformed historical baggage garbage info out there.
The final practical thing I would add is that people buying these cars don’t necessarily require supreme reliability either. Reasonable reliability could be enough mixed in with other factors. If reliability was the top concern then there are boring Toyotas that will do that best. For passion purchases the rules are different.

We're currently driving the 2024 F-Pace SVR and 2025 models are already available on their website. The F-Type definitely seems to be ending production this year though. We've got a convertible P575 booked for next week.
