It wasn't that groundbreaking TBH. Companies like Avexir made LED RAM with fixed animation patterns way back in the DDR3 days. The only "new" thing here was the customizability aspect of it.
You can get these gskill trident z 16gb x 2 (32gb) cl16 3200mhz kits for 100bucks these days. I am about to buy one kit thats why i came back here.

Efficient RGB strips aren't supposed to have an effect on your system's thermals.
They released a sleeker design for late 2021. RGB will evolve to become sleeker like luxury vehicle's interior lighting.

I am not that much into the RGB everywhere, and clearly Linus has a certain comic distance to it too! He was just trying to go over the top RGB everything, and that little logo lighting was so small you almost didn't notice it if he hadn't pointed it out :)

It will probably make it slower, if you already have 8 gb, and you replace that with 8 gb rgb ram, it will become slower (but you will probably not recognize it). The rgb ram will probably require a software which has to go in the background

There are plenty of RGB cases, But not HDD.
I vonder, how RGB HDD would look like...
The HDD aluminum plate will be more translucent and RGB LEDs included in surrounding the parts of HDD.
I guess, that may have an use (unlike RGB RAM): It could glow red, when the HDD gets an error, or something...
matas Zaloga following that same logic ram could glow when it gets overheated. Not everything has to serve a crazy big purpose. Companies wouldn't make money that way. Some people enjoy aesthetics

Just watched this after i got my first set of corsair vengeance rgb ram its sick!
So for my new build I'm looking at getting some of this ram, and am looking for two 16gb sticks for now. However I can't find any anywhere is that even offered? I want to eventually have 64gb down the line but just want 32gb for now. Any ideas? If anyone could lend a hand it'd be appreciated.

well personally i am getting Corsair's RGB RAM as my computer (and ALL peripherals) is practically Corsair besides the CPU, MOBO and GPU with the GPU and MOBO from Asus i like having 1 manufacturer which makes different products as they can work together and just feel better together well the only thing i am expecting from Corsair by next 1-2 years is custom liquid cooling that would make them better than ALL other companies for PC hardware as the only motherboard manufacturer i know with liquid cooling is EVGA and motherboard manufacturers got nothing but MOBO's and GPU's or maybe some peripherals but for other companies such as case manufacturers NON of the ones i know sell storage devices but Corsair they have a slice of every PC part type market besides MOBO's and CPU's (i would expect the CPU as that does not really tie in with what brand the rest of my PC needs to be)

I'm pretty minimal with my lighting, but I think I could totally go for that cablemod LED strip and the RAM. I like having the lights on so I can see inside, but I love to turn lights off while I'm sleeping. Old blue LED fan just keeps me awake at night instead lol. I like how cablemod will give you a remote to manage your lighting
