Watching Linus build PCs honestly helped me improve cable management. Which helped decrease the temps on my system. I'm planning on building a small PC for my next build, this really decreases the possible frustration I might have when cramming in hardware.

Owner of a sm580 and I absolutely love it. Its hilarious watching linus struggle through certain parts like I did, makes me feel less like a noob. But if he got the cable management down better, maybe put some custom cables even he could get those Temps even lower. Im running a 9900k 5ghz, 2080ti at 2100mhz under full load with absolutely no issues. Stoked he threw a 3090 in there, wanted to see how the founders editon did, I think going with a aftermarket cooling solution would be best in the long run though. Highly suggest Sliger

shockingly that little pc is only $4000 or so, and you could easily drop that down to $2000 by not going with a 3080 and a 4tb ssd. It's actually something reasonable for a change lol.
Think you missed the point of the viideo. PCIe bifurcation on a budget. ex, it was an $80 dual slot riser instead of the typical $1500+ that server bifurcation cards cost.

Sabrent's 4TB drive is around 3x the price of their 2TB, so that one is really the best bang for your buck. If you have m.2 slots to spare, putting in two of them is a lot more economical than a single 4TB.

You know, for your specific motherboard, that bottom M.2 slot can be adapted into a PCIe x4 slot for your second add-in card right? That would be cheaper and would not require PCIe bifurication.

You halve the throughput but in case of amd you have pci-e 4.0 that doubles it so a 8x 4.0 is as fast as a 16x 3.0. And intel hasnt released a chip that's capable of 4.0. And your specific motherboard needs to support pci-e bifurcation . In this case you only need this cable.
Technically yes, but the performance penalty will be a bit higher with Intel than on AMD (currently) when using a PCIe 4.0 capable gpu

What happened to Mini DTX? It's literally a Mini ITX board with 2 expansion slots. Fits in a lot of Mini ITX cases just fine too.
It'd be cool if you started using an infra red camera to capture the temperatures around the case as its operated and test different orientations of intake and exhaust. such as down draft and up draft and what not thru all four or 6 faces of the case... its obvious hot air rises but it would still be cool to see.

Nice board but with such limited expansion it makes a partial board failure become a complete one requiring replacement. I have had boards that worked great but one of it's features fail that I was able to work around by using an add in card for sound or LAN or USB etc... I rather have a full sized board with as much expansion and card placement as possible to keep it useful for as long as possible. I guess this board is good for making a cute little computer that you want to hide somewhere. I myself love having an obnoxiously large computer that makes the lights dim when it's turned on and your guests are on awe of it's awesomeness.

Decent products yet not halo items, Id call it reasonable (although I am running a 3950x with 64GB of RAM, 4TB of NVMe - not for gaming).

Top of the line=Top RGB. Top RAM. 3090. 3850x. 4TB m.2 in the 3gn slot. 2TB MP600 in the gen4 slot. So no. Its not top of the line.
