I admire the precision of this player seems like there isn’t a single wasted action. For all my thoughtfulness when I play it looks like I’m doing random BS. Just face rolling the buttons in contrast.

@@tyler-xo3rb I am not gonna lie. I am being tempted to the dark side. I really enjoy playing Ky but it just doesn't feel worth all of the effort. Heaven help me if I played Zato or Faust.

@@tyler-xo3rb can confirm lol this is my first GG game although not new to fighting games I picked this up and floor 7 was my placement floor then I went down to 6 till I learned matchups now I'm at 8 with just bnb's and a tiny amount of common sense

My boy linked me this video right before I went into the tower, and then was telling me "bro at least watch the first 30 seconds before you go in" and those lessons fueled me. Just got the game last night Chipp is the first character I'm trying to learn. New to the guilty gear games.
Same.I tried leo and it was very hard for first day but fun nonetheless

The thing i love about this, is how you can tell all of his inputs are consistently extremely thought out, his neutral and advantage game are insane.
This game is a masterpiece / This guy is a ninja master!

People think Chip is OPAF, he's not; his offense is just unpredictable. People think Sol is OPAF and he's not. However, Sol's offense is VERY predictable.

But my biggest struggle with him is how to get in

How do you make the 236k of the rekka connect in the combo at 6:52, I've seen other chipps do it but I can't , it always whiffs cuz it's too slow
First rekka has to hit the enemy while they're high or it'll whiff. Like in the video you basically want to time the first rekka to hit their feet
Letting them FALL onto the 236S while it is active is the most ideal timing. It can lead to even better combos than the 236K follow-up.
Its a wall bounce but you have to be at a certain space. cant be too close to the wall (itll whiff) or too far where they wont bounce off.
Notice how the Nagoriyuki players got it the worst 😂

i feel like that wall climb combo will get patched soon. the fact that you can spam enough moves to get a magnetic wall pin like that doesnt seem like it was intended to work like that with chipp's wall climb.
I could see adjustments happening but I bet it isn’t getting patched out entirely.
