I'm so sorry you've been treated that way, Holly. You're a beautiful soul and honestly I sometimes come to your channel not only to learn about autism but also to get a little dose of positivity and kindness. Mothers get so much undeserved criticism in society, especially mothers of children with special needs. I saw another mom of autistic children on another channel talking about being asked the same question, herself with a lv. 1 autism diagnosis. It blows my mind that anyone could actually say that. All your children are perfect. All children EVERYWHERE are perfect.

I forgot he was level two in the language category. Maybe that’s part of the reason that he learned some words and phrases around a year late even with speech therapy.
My language was around the same level at age two but my speech therapy started at age three so my own speech took a bit longer to come along. For example by age four-and-a-half I was able to ask basic questions like “What’s that?”.

Well, based on the genetics I can close to guarantee that my future child will be autistic. But I don’t care, I want to still be a parent. I know very well autism isn’t a curse or something and you can absolutely have an amazing life. I don’t care if the child never can handle a work or something like that. I can’t do that too and that’s totally okay. I have therapy instead and get enough money from it by insurance so why worry about it.

I’m sorry people say these rude things to you! Just know, there are no words for how much I appreciate your videos. Our little girl is autistic (mildly, because she’ll be able to live independently and have a family of her own if she wants). But you bring so much love and positivity to the autism discussion that is needed. They’re human beings created in God’s image; they need love.
    Anyway. Appreciate you!

Autism isn’t a death sentence in my opinion. Holly is already experienced in raising a child that’s autistic. If she ever has another child that ends up having autism, she will be experienced to give the child the support that they need, much like Ezra and Simon.

Simon’s connection with his sister seems to have helped his development. For example, he probably toilet trained more quickly with her help than he would have without her help.
On the other hand, when I was training my mother did almost all of the work. It was a lot of work for her because my daytime training (at least essentially) wrapped up just before kindergarten. I started kindergarten shortly before I turned six.
Also Simon’s sister worked with Simon on his speech when he was two and that (along with his speech therapy) probably also helped.

Some people think autism might be caused by being born early or late but at this point no one knows for sure. I was born about three months early, for example but I don’t know if that explains why I’m on the spectrum or whether it’s genetic. Based on family history it’s probably mostly genetic in my case.

I knew that any child born after my autistic son is a high risk as they believe it is genetic and we still decide to have more because:
    1. It is none business how many children I will have (and I do tell people off)
    2. Autism did not determine how big our family will be (other children are not spectrum but it doesn't matter)
    3. All my children are planned, wanted and loved regardless if they have autism or not
    4. each pregnancy carried risk of other disabilities, a child can be born blind, deaf etc. It is a risk we all take
    5. there is a beautiful side of autism that people ignore or don't want to see - it is seeing a world from different perspective.
once my son who is 12 and level 1 as Simon told me 'others don't know how to enjoy life, how to find beauty in little things I see''.
both Ezra and Simon are beautiful.
I can already see Simon as a very independent, storing willed, successful happy adult.
Ezra may need support even as an adult but it doesn't mean that he will not be happy and enjoy his life to fullest. In his eyes his world is perfect and if he can speak he world tell you that. It is other people who don't have awareness of autism who believe otherwise.
Once you have a child like ours you realise autism is not scary!!!

We go to a functional med doc who has healed many autistic kids around the world. Also the Medical Medium protocols are healing kids. If you haven’t done heavy metal detox, etc, you might want to try. My son functions so much better with dietary changes and fulfilling any deficiencies. Also a lot of autistic kids have Lyme but their parents don’t know.

Hello 7-ahead people i understand where you're coming from it's nobody's business if you have a child with autism or you can have a child with a disability it doesn't matter in my case unfortunately that was adopted because my biological parents parents didn't really want me i don't know if it was because I was i had a disability but in most cases parents don't really want their child if they are disabled in my case my so I was adopted but unfortunately I still struggle that every single day knowing why what's the matter why I have. i don't they understand that Adhd is not a disability it's just what I got I also got bipolar so what your sons has autism so what we would not want them because they autism and one child has autism and ADHD and all their disabilities . Your strong person and you're a good person for speaking out about this Cuz most people don't really care to speak out you can share this comment you can comet back to me whatever you want to do I just needed to share my opinion Stay strong family

Michael Faraday (the inventor of the version of the electric motor that runs on direct current) had a speech impediment (that was well-documented) and he might have also been on the spectrum but given how long ago he lived we will never know for certain.

The truth is you never know what type of child you will have. Its a gamble no matter what . Anyone can have something. My oldest is type 1 diabetes. She got diagnosed at 11 yra old. My youngest daughter is autistic level 3 non verbal. They are born with it . Anyone s lives can change from an accident or something else.
