Thank you, Gary! I am not at all a mechanic...so I make these hoping it will give people who are also not mechanics confidence to try it themselves. I appreciate your views and the comments, as always, brother!
I had to change the belt in the field last week. The clutch cover does come out. You were working it correctly. It just takes a bit. The 6M bolt and a set of channel locks are very helpful to applying the new belt.
Thank you very much justin. Hey what I found to be a great investment is I always have a bottle Jack with me. And brake cleaner. You pop a beed ore ever need to get the back end off the ground on the trail. Hope you have a great time in Mississippi bro.
It’s an easy simple project if you don’t have to actually change the belt out on the trail or anywhere else. CFMOTO needs to come up with a new clutch housing that allows you to easily change the belt out on the trail without having to bring electric impacts and or specialty tools.
I need to know if there is a tool kit that I need for charging battery, patching a tire, changing a belt. I am NEW to UTV and just purchased my first CFMoto z950. Your videos are making me feel like I made a good choice for off-road fun!
Thank you! You made an excellent choice! I carry around a little bit...8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm sockets and wrench, some allen heads....if you want to be able to change the belt, you want a long 6mm bolt to spread the clutch and probably a 32mm and 18mm to take the primary off....you dont have to take it off to change the belt, but its pretty touch without taking it off
Thanks Justin good to know that it will be somewhat difficult to change the belt in the field. Is there a time like line when you should change the belt every 2 years or 500 miles to make sure this does not happen in the field. Thanks again sir.
It really all depends on how you ride...you will be able to feel when it needs replaced...it won't grab as well as it normally does. When you feel that slip, thats when it needs replaced
If I get a 36 millimeter nut, a bottle jack, extra belt, I should be good in the field but were did you get the bolt you screwed in to the secondary? Where is the tool kit fir this machine located? Content wise I think you should do a deep in the bush survival kit (tools, sizes, tire plugs, spare tire or tires since the rims are different sizes and everything else that would be needed to get back home or at least back to the trailer)? Thank you for all the videos your about my same age yet your like a dad teaching me everything lol-
Thank you Justin, You always help. If i have no 36mm, i have just the 32 mm and 18 mm .. can i replace the belt ?! release the primary clutch (Reverse threading right?) and replace the belt ?!
Yes you can replace the belt with nothing but a 8mm socket and rachet and a longer cvt cover bolt. On the z950 or z1000 the clutches do not have to come off to change a belt. Most people leave clutches alone to change the belt on these. On the zforce 800 , well let me put it this way , it can be done also without removing clutches but there is even less clearance between sheave and inner air guide and it can be done in the field but it's not easy. I've done it and I'm the only one in my over 5 years around Cfmoto to do it and video it being done however it does put stress on the belt so if you are home, use tools to at least slide the secondary out a bit on the 800 model , z1000/950 , leave clutches alone .
I love that your videos are Real. If things don't go the way you plan...you just go with it...

Thank you, Thomas! We are having a blast so far!
a bottle jack or a bottle of Jack? ;)
@@whiterabbit2786 🤣
LETS GO!! Your half way here!
So close!
Another great video
Thank you, brother!
Def earned my sub. Thanks
walk the belt off the front pulley, you spread the back so the belt drops in the clutch to give slack to go around front clutch

🤣🤣🤣 that works, too!

I got mine at a local hardware store
Lol. Thank you so much for watching, Chris! I really appreciate you!
Small tool kit is under drivers seat...have to remove seat to get to it...
Damnit. I was just considering one of these units solely because I like the fact that they didn't have the Cvt belt looks like I was wrong
Yamaha and Honda are about your only options
Do you need the 6mm long threaded bolt if you are taking off the secondary?
If not removing primary too, then yes.
Thank you Justin, You always help.

Yes, absolutely you can!
Can you help me with the exact size of the screw for loose the belt, please. Long, spread...
I have a question, I just bought a 2021 Cfmoto zforce950 sport. My question is what type of strap can I use, can someone help me with that?
What size is the bolt to spread the clutch to remove and replace belt ?
6mm min 3” long
@@JustinTheCreator do you need to spread the clutch if your going the other route of just using a socket and taking that center nut off???
@@bassbrotherzfishing3112 not to take it off, but you will def want to before putting back on. Will make it a lot easier
Comment for the algorithm!
Thank you, Ron!
Try removing the skid plate on the bottom.
Whats the part number for the belt
If you remove the sway bar it makes life easier
Yeah...I was just avoiding that. Lol
And my dad and uncle said you’d have to remove everything to replace the belt😢
Easier if you jack up the rig so the wheels are off the ground.
You are not wrong. Lol.
So all I really learnt was how to take the cover off. Lol . Next
What a joke, you didn't even change the belt or even remove the old one for inspection 😅
@@MrStr8den then I’m glad you found it funny. Whole point of a joke 🤷🏼♂️😂
Also I say that in the description, but reading and comprehension is difficult. It’s ok.
