I love how easy the clutch cover comes off, and how quickly serviceable the clutches are on these. I’ve had a few can am’s and they require special tools
My daughters can am 450 bolt on secondary clutch sheared off just taking the machine out of the garage. The secondary clutch comes apart in several pieces and would be nice if can am made it simple like cf moto. The more I see cfmoto videos the more im leaning in getting one. I have a 2019 can am Outlander Max 2 up, 2020 450 Outlander can am and A 2021 450 Yamaha Kodiak. Each has had multiple problems. I looked at CF moto saw they had lot more options but I did not know the brand very well so I went with the brands that I did know. I probably would have had better chances of buying a family of CF motos. Our riding is just easy trails here in Colorado we don't ride aggressive just put around the trails and enjoy the scenery. Great video thank you for sharing. Love the channel.
This was a great video. I have learned a lot. I just started having this issue right after I put on a new belt. Now because of you guys experiencing this issue and fixing the problem helped me alot. Thanks for the knowledge. Keep posting videos like this. This helps avoid going to the shop and paying alot of money.
I might have to second guess you taking my four wheeler to the mud park now 🤔🤔 But definitely was a good how to video to have out there so I will let it slide 😂
Just did the exact same thing to that skid plate today, thankfully my son was following and saw it and I was able to tear it off the last bolt holding it, preventing what could of been a disaster later in the day while taking my 800XC boating
Love these videos Blake, thank you, and kudos to Joel too. I’ve been watching you guys from above the 49th parallel here in Ontario, Canada. You have made me seriously lean towards Cfmoto when considering a new ATV purchase. My current ‘88 Moto 4 Yamaha 225 (2wd) quad will need to be replaced at some point … and the 2021 Cforce 800 XC EPS LX in orange has definitely caught my eye! The more I watch your videos … the more confirmation I feel about going with this brand. You are presenting and representing CFMOTO really well. Congrats on that. You’ve won me over. Just waiting for the right timing to take the plunge into the new quad world. I may even do an online review when I do! Keep the videos coming guys. Love this stuff! From a pal in the North. Joel
With my 520 is the problem for the bearing too much dust (drive in very dry and dusty area), must regularly open and make everything clean. How do you solve the squeaking brakes? That annoys me tremendously.
Hello, Im watching you guys from Mazatlán, Mexico, I have a cfmoto 520 L, and it has a one way bearing. ¿Which way should be spinning? ¿Clockwise or anticlockwise?
Not the videos I watch it seems most people use them as submarines. Water holes are hard on any ATV that shit will find a way in sooner or later trust me...
great video thanks, one question, this one way bearing cause some relocking noise when engine speed is near by drive speed (like cases down hill and having some throttle), is this normal hearing relocking noise?
Thanks for this video. Can't express enough how helpful this video has been to me. I have a 2021 Cfmoto 500s my daughter rides. The machine does not skip a beat. Goes everywhere my Polaris 850 does. Didn't have a single issue with it until a friend of ours completed ask to ride it and buried it in a large puddle. He hydro locked the engine and made a mess intake and crankcase. After removing the spark plug and pumping the water out via the started the engine fired right up (GO CFMOTO!). I'm on my 5th oil change and still getting water out of the crankcase. But that another story. You mentioned the CForce 500 has a one way bearing unlike your 800, and yes it's about $140. I'm new to one way bearings. Is just the inside notched section supposed to spin? Is it supposed to spin in both directions? Does the new one need to be greased/lubed at install? Lastly how do I know what direction to put it in. I did not see an arrow indicators on the one I took out.
I have a 2021 cfmoto cforce 500 and was trying to figure out which one my one way bearing goes on. Does it spin clockwise or counter clockwise? If you know or somebody else please let me know thanks.
@@RR-po7eb outer race should lock when turning clockwise. At least that’s what I had written down. I actually called cfmoto’s HQ and spoke to a tech. He was very helpful.
Hey dude, don't know if anyone commented it before-- the way you remove the bearing from the primary pulley, it would damage the pulley conical surface, which is designed for belt and pulley power transmission.
@Real Talk Powersports I have a 2020 CF 500 and needing a new bearing but I bought a one way bearing and it seemed not to work. So my dad figured it would be the two way bearing. Now I’m not sure which to go for.
I believe you would be just fine with the stock setup as long as you keep it in low gear everytime you go to climb a hill or put it under any kind of load or bind.. But the clutch upgrade will help if you want it for sure.
I'm still learning about these so please don't drill me. But I want to know if you can put a two-way bearing on the cforce 600? If so, is there a model number for that bearing I can use to look up?
Great video!.. but at first i thought you guys had a fix for the jerky throttle, good thing i waited to watch the video before attempting a back flip!I 😅

Thanks for the videos and effort you put into them… and you might’ve answered this already, but I didn’t read all the comments, what products did you use to clean the belt housing and pulleys?
If I wanna to get rid of that one way bearing on CF500 (no need for engine braking) , is it possible to order normal bearing? Would fit that one from CF800 or that some model that don't use one way bearing?

On a brand new bike I’m Only asking cause I just bought both primary secondary clutch all new and I’m getting a squeal in park giving it a little bit of gas
2 things I would have done differently for the video... 1.) Explain why when after Joel installs the secondary and belt and removes the tool from the secondary why he spun it backwards...and always properly torque the nuts and bolts holding the clutch on....otherwise, nicely done!
Ok so I have this problem on my 2023 800 Cforce , right down to the the skid plate 😂 but here is my actual question.. I cannot get the the first bolt off on my primary. Even tried to use a a 32mm wrench and breaker bar with the 18mm and cannot get it to louse. Any Suggestions? (Yes I did note It is Righty Lousy)
your suppose to press the break pedal at all times when u shift to be 100 % sure the belt isnt turning while shifting :P so i dont think u need to turn it off . just start using the foot break like your suppose to do
Im getting ready to move from NC to Maine so i looked up their laws on ATV's and Side by Sides. In the state of Maine you are not allowed to snorkle any off road vehicle. Why would a state say you cant snorkle a ATV or Side by Side??
So after 15 miles of riding, my 950 sport is doing this same exact thing except my machine has never seen water. It was just really dusty. Would that dust cause the same problem? And because it never got submerged, would the warranty cover it?
Daniel i would recommend letting your local shop take a look at it.. you should be covered under warranty if the dealer can find the issue and not see any foul play.
