I had one of those derringer buckles when I was a kid! If you pooched your stomach out, the derringer would swing out on a spring loaded hinge and fire a plastic bullet using a “greenie stickum cap”. What fun!
Those were interesting old finds, Gin. Good location, for sure. 'Think you said a steel Penney was found, also. That's collectible...WWII vintage, only made a couple years 1943-1944 e.g. ... War shortage of copper, and hard for mint to stamp out steel coins...they went through lots of dies... That two-hole brass piece looks like a "keeper", used to hold wire (or antenna cable) in place on an interior building wall... not sure... Best guess. We used them, back in the day, but many were aluminum or steel. Brass was the "higher end" version for "cosmetics" reasons.... Good hunt, all... GUARANTEE you left a lot behind, for others to find..."soil" around that depot will likely be tough digging. All the best ! Keep going, always fun watching...

We have an old house a mile away that is next to the former Lehigh Valley Railroad station that is long gone and now a walking trail exists . According to the stories the place was a well known house of ill repute and is now a single family home . If I find a token detecting there it''s yours......

I have gone to several site like that , where the structure was removed and found nothing old . I was told that they scrap a layer of soil that may contain relics and haul it off to the landfill etc..

I have been out to Pendleton Oregon and have been in an actual brothel from the old western days...... and also the underground city that was built by the Chinese back in the 1800s. I have never heard of a brothel token before lol.

How cool. It always amazes me how there’s a collector for everything. I’ve never found any of those brass tags and sure wouldn’t have known people collect them. I’ll remember that for when I find one.🙂 For this hunt I used a general program, then switched over to a custom deep relic program for a while that my friend Duane fixed up for me. I’ve tried fast a couple times when the site was really trashy. I’m not that technical so I haven’t done a bunch of customizing yet. The Deus has been amazing so far. It’s love - I named him Romeo. Lol I should be back to my regular posting schedule on Fridays from here on out. I got behind while on the road due to lousy internet service.🤦🏼♀️
It’s grey ghost headphones configured for the deus. I didn’t realize how much better they are until I put Duane’s on for a minute when we were comparing a signal. Holy smoke - the difference was amazing!
I like your hunts, night ones are fun, just be safe.When you walk out on the drvy beach split it into 2 gymnasium, one on theb left and one on the right. Each gym court probably has one gold ring in each gym area, for a total of 2 GOLD rings.. Sa you walk toward the water, picture the same 2 gym courts, but since they're in the water, picture 2 GOLD rinks in each gym court, for a total of 4 gold rings.. Now you can see your odds are doubled, two GOLD rings on each side, one a few inches down and one on the serface.. your job is to find at least 1 of the 4, it aint easy but the're there.. Now if you hunt fast and shallow you may find 2 of the 4. winke

It’s possible, but owner didn’t think so. There was so much debris in the soil from the house being removed, so it was challenging.

I like your hunts, night ones are fun, just be safe.When you walk out on the drvy beach split it into 2 gymnasium, one on theb left and one on the right. Each gym court probably has one gold ring in each gym area, for a total of 2 GOLD rings.. Sa you walk toward the water, picture the same 2 gym courts, but since they're in the water, picture 2 GOLD rinks in each gym court, for a total of 4 gold rings.. Now you can see your odds are doubled, two GOLD rings on each side, one a few inches down and one on the serface.. your job is to find at least 1 of the 4, it aint easy but the're there.. Now if you hunt fast and shallow you may find 2 of the 4. winke
I wish it was that easy for me to find gold rings! My jewelry recovery is increasing as I get more and more familiar with the new machine, so maybe I’ll get there. Lol
