Wow, you hit it BIG on jewelry this time around. I would imagine that the silver peace sign ring was made by a small time maker. I’ll also go out on a limb and say it was made in the 60s. Another great adventure!!
I wish every hunt was like this one! I was thinking maybe the ring was made in another country where they didn’t mark it, but I bet you could be right about it being artisan made. Such a tiny size wouldn’t be common to find.

I'd be pretty happy with that hunt myself. Loved the catholic medallion. I've found one that was 925, but it was smaller and didn't have the beautiful coloring.

Very nice hunt, congrats on the jewelry. I haven't watched you for quite a while because it used to take you so long to recover a target I would nearly fall asleep. I'm glad to see you've picked up your game and are recovering the targets quickly. I didn't know you were using a Deus II, it looks like you've caught onto it very well, you're identifying targets before you dig them.
I'll be watching and cheering you on in the future.(I too hunt with the Deus II and love it with the 11 inch coil which increases depth, but also increases weight. It's a very good machine once you understand it..)

Awesome hunt Gin. The peace ring is a cool find. If you are saving your Cu ; the pennies from 1981 & before are copper, 1982 was the split year when they had both...copper cent and zinc cent with copper plating.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear about Daisy. 😞 It’s so hard to loose a fur baby. It broke my heart when I lost my Belvedere and I’ve never got another. Now, it brings me great joy whenever a dog comes to say hi and I’m able to enjoy their company for a minute.

My gracious Gin, just spent 4 days hunting Ocean isle, sunset, and cherry Grove Beach in nc and SC. Zero jewelry and u find 4 or 5 rings in Wyoming! Good grief. I hope everyone realizes that u released this in the midst of a very dark time. Thank u...
Beaches can be tough, and in my experience, especially the Atlantic ones. 😣 Thankfully I had this video ready ahead of time. It’s next week’s video that will be a challenge to get put together. Wish me luck.🤞

That is a haul Gin. So many parks have rules about digging and disturbing plants etc... that I don't visit them. The parks I can go to have tons of coins and some rings. I wish I could go to all of them.
Boy do I know it! It’s not easy to find parks where it’s ok to hunt, but definitely easier to find out west. I really enjoy park hunting too.🙂

Crossbow bolt was your arrow. That was a lot of jewelry I agree that park isn't hunted often. That big wrought copper piece actually might have been a home made bracelet. For a big guy like me.
I was amazed at how much jewelry this park held. I’m sure there was more that I missed, and will probably revisit that park when I go to Wyoming next.🙂

I looked up that F star symbol and it's the quality of the silver in the ring. This means you have a high quality silver ring.
Love watching your hunts, have you ever used the Simplex? Seems your detector is more advanced.
You know, I’ve got access to a simplex and a legend, but haven’t used them. The Deus is so much lighter and does so well that I can’t bring myself to leave it on the rack and try another. At some point I’ll make myself do it…but not yet.🙂🍀

Well, Gin...this may be lengthy (kinda):
That ring (Star/7) is most likely Italian (origin)...some time back Italy was pressured to stamp maker's mark & purity into their pieces...was hit-&-miss... And not fully consistent/confirming.
The star certainly indicates "fine", as in gold, platinum, silver, etc... the "7" can indicate % of bullion/metal in it...
HOWEVER, a SINGLE digit (ie ..."7") can also refer to the maker's RING SIZE... which is what yours is, I believe.
To determine precious metal content, you'd need it tested...by a certified jeweler, etc. A lot of stuff came from that country over the decades.

Short Answer: (corrected)...
Jewelry made in Italy (last few decades) is stamped with a star (country origin)...the "F", I believe, signifies "Florence" (Italy)...don't hold me to that, it's "rusty memory"...

I’m still planning to take this ring to a jeweler along with another one I’ve recently found to see if the diamonds are real. This particular ring is also curious because it’s marked silver but there’s clearly parts of it with a gold color. As always, you are a brilliant wealth of knowledge and much appreciated.❤️🍀

@@LuckyGin Last thing, before I forget...the gold "sheen" on parts of the ring...probably means it was gold PLATED...over sterling silver (.925)....and through wear/tear & the elements, the super-thin plating (most of it), simply wore off. Also, a lot of people (women especially, it seems) have slightly acidic skin, or creams, makeup, shampoos etc etc...which tends to "de-plate" jewelry...I don't understand it, but I've repaired a sizeable amount of jewelry, and I saw the trend.
