The Esoteric Path Very Few Walk On: Mysticism Part 2

  • As we saw in Part One, the mystic path offers a deeply personal, direct
experience of the Divine that goes beyond orthodox practices and
    dogmatic confines.
It is a spiritual quest that seeks an experiential understanding of the
Ultimate Reality, often characterised by unity, ineffability, and an
experiential knowledge that transcends intellectual comprehension.
This video, Mysticism Part Two, will examine the mystical traditions as
found in Buddhism, Judaism, and Islam.
In Buddhism, mysticism often manifests as meditative practices and
philosophical insights that transcend the ordinary consciousness.
Buddhist practices such as Vipassana (insight) and Samatha (tranquillity)
meditation lead to profound experiences, culminating in Nirvana-the
ultimate liberation from suffering and cycle of rebirths.
Esoteric Buddhism or Vajrayana, with its tantric practices, represents
another facet of Buddhist mysticism, promising accelerated paths to
    enlightenment.
In contrast, Jewish mysticism, popularly known as Kabbalah, has its roots
    in the ancient Jewish traditions.
It offers a mystical interpretation of the Torah, infusing the religious text
with esoteric meanings that lead to a deeper understanding of God and
    creation.
The mystical tradition of Kabbalah goes beyond the ritualistic and legalistic
aspects of Judaism, delving into the metaphysical realms, proposing a
complex and intricate model of the divine reality.

Similarly, in Islam, the mystical dimension known as Sufism presents an
the inward journey towards divine love and knowledge.
Sufism, with its distinctive practices of Dhikr (remembrance of God), Sema
(whirling dance), and ascetic lifestyle, aims to purify the heart, facilitating a
    deeper connection with God.

I studied philosophy and wrote my bachelor thesis about this topic. It's wonderful to see it presented like this. The animations, music, sound effects and narration style fit very well without being to obstrusive. The video is as interesting and informative (covering concepts like Shunyata and En Sof) as it is entertaining to watch. Thank you for your great work. I wish all the best to anyone reading this!

Each sect or level of “religion” is for people at different levels of soul evolution. Thats why most are comfortable at a dogmatic level, as maya, the physical reality stores enough lessons for there souls to experience, then there are those us that at a young age felt a huge void sitting in church or just walking though life the way society wanted us to until we finally sat down and started meditating and going inward. Everything has its purpose and is needed.

I'm a Muslim, but I realise, the further inwards I go, the more I relate to my Hindu and Christian friends who are on the path of mysticism. "Theologeons of the world quarrel, but the mystics speak the same language".

I don't find it lonely... spending time at temples and meeting people of different religious backgrounds is a great way to socialize with people who understand. I'm in a tiny little town with hardly any temples, yet the community was found 😊 the lessons are in life more than txts or practice.

Just wait until you reach the point of feeling connected to everything. I haven't felt lonely since.. I'm a twin(gle) or twin less twin. At least the character my ego plays is..
I was told a messages from one of four sphere's of light. We're all connected. 1511. The same females voice every time. ((Hug's)) I know that bottomless well of loneliness. I think it's to go back "home" vs The Earth plane.

Better than meditation, experience can also do it. For meditation without life experience is an empty experience. Ok, just me saying. :) Hey, you can make your own videos as well. Just try it. Go for it. ;)

What's the difference between Mysticism and Shamanism? Aren't both ways of trying to communicate with the divine, via direct experience? Hopefully this channel could make a video possibly showcasing the differences and similarities. Peace and blessings.

The mysticism is not a choice since when you try to change your path a lot of things happen to "convince" you to get back.

    • @Cody-nr4vv
      @Cody-nr4vv ปีที่แล้ว

You used a statement "your path"
But if your path was one set out for you, and you're suggesting you can change it, then the same would be true to everyone around you.... if 10 people around you had a path, then 6 went astray, the other 4 would go off track.
You are God, you are the Buddha, you are the universe... there are no wrong paths, but certain ways of thought certainly give the tools too carve out a path towards a better living.
Or maybe I was meant to say this
      But who am "I"

"The esoteric teachings are only for the fools. The fools are very much interested in anything they cannot understand. The idea of the foolish mind is that anything it cannot understand must be very mysterious, must be very superior, must belong to higher planes.
A really religious person has nothing to do with esoteric nonsense - with theosophy, with anthroposophy, and with so many Lobsang Rampas… and all kinds of nonsense that goes on being written.
It must be fulfilling some people’s needs. Just as a few people like detective novels, a few others are interested in esoteric knowledge. There is nothing esoteric in existence. Existence is nude, naked; nothing is hidden.
Once Buddha was asked, “Have you said everything, or is there something esoteric which you have not said?”
Buddha showed his hand - an open hand - and he said, “I am like an open hand, not like a fist.”
And so is existence - like an open hand, not like a fist. It hides nothing; all is there, all around you. God is overflowing… and you are pondering over esoteric things - seven planes or seventeen, seven hells and seven heavens. And the more complicated is the system, the more appeal it has.
Theosophy is more or less sheer nonsense, but it attracted thousands of people around the world. It has become a great world movement. People were talking of hidden masters, guides, astral, ethereal…. And in Madam Blavatsky’s room letters used to drop from the ceiling - letters from hidden masters who live in the Himalayas. Later on it was found that a man used to hide there on the roof and he used to drop those letters. The man himself confessed in the court that “My whole work was that whenever the session of the theosophists would be there and they would wait with closed eyes and pray for masters, hidden masters, to guide them, I had instructions from Madam Blavatsky what letter to drop. Those letters were written by Madam Blavatsky.” They were examined later on by experts and it was proved that they were written by Blavatsky herself. But she fooled people for years.
“What is the use of esoteric teachings and spiritual knowledge?” To fulfill the demands of the fools, that is the use. And there is no spiritual knowledge at all. Spirituality is an experience, not knowledge. You cannot reduce it to knowledge; it is always knowing, never knowledge. It is an insight, irreducible into words. You cannot put it into theories, into systems of thought; that is impossible. And those who try to do it don’t know anything… only then can they do it. This is a strange phenomenon: those who know, they never try to reduce their knowing to knowledge; and those who don’t know, they are absolutely free. They can create any knowledge, that is their invention. All spiritual knowledge is the invention of the mind. Real spiritual knowing happens only when the mind is dropped, when you are in a state of no-mind.
“How can I find out if they are true or not?”
    Why should you be worried?
Rather try to find out who you are. That’s the only real religious question, the only quest: “Who am I?” That’s enough; no other questions are significant. Avoid all other jargon - spiritual, religious, theological, esoteric. Avoid all jargon. Just stick to a simple quest: “Who am I?” That’s enough. If you know yourself you have known all; if you don’t know yourself you may know everything in the world, but that is of no use. It is unnecessary burden and bondage."

Is buddhism misrepresented with the cycle of samsara? Our emotions go in a cycle, clinging to an emotion causes suffering, and meditation is to achieve a state of non emotion. if one can train the mind well enough to observe the outer world with non judgment, than the cycle of birth (joy) death (sadness) ends. Understandably people want a hope for death being something (reincarnation) but that even kinda contradicts the doctrine, as nothingness is what is true.

2:10 That is not the Jewish symbol, that is the Babylonian pagan symbol for Nimrod and his mother. Notice that crescent moon beneath that star like goat head which also looks like an inverted pentagram
